Yup, never learned my lesson, and it's my fault, obviously. I'm not sure where this is going, but I'm not in the mood for an insta-lust story.
The lust-filled interaction soured my mood, as did the strip poker they were engaging in. I suppose this kind of thing is the norm for the MMC, as he's a well-known playboy (unashamedly). I'm not sure if the FMC had her fair share of experience, and I don't want to bother searching.
Anyway, DNF it is; I might pick it up again (or not).
Heheh, these get better and better!! I gotta admit Bash wasn't as extreme as his other brothers when getting his girl, but he did some things.
Ana, I felt so bad for her from age 5 she felt her life was ruined, and her father blamed her for everything. So I see why she was "ice cold" to everyone but her brother. Now, she wants to be the one to save her brother by stealing from the Order. But she caught the eye of the youngest brother Bash, who loves the game between the two when he starts stalking her. Bash is the fun brother, the one that doesn't take things too seriously
No ow/om drama, no cheating, secondary character, drama, sexy times, no virgins

"I’m going to figure her out one way or another, and when I do, I’ll make her mine."
This was such an entertaining and quick read! Bash & Stasia had incredible chemistry and I loved how obsessed and possessive he was for her! It took one encounter for him to be sure that she's the one for him and I liked how he chased her and protected her over every turn. Stasia was impulsive but not stupid and I could sympathize with her. Bash's family was amazing and it was nice to see all of them again! Overall, this was quite an engaging read but I felt like everything happened way too fast towards the end and Stasia made a few questionable choices which was kind of annoying. But the epilogue was really well written and the whole book was unputdownable, so I'll give it 3.75 stars!
i was craving a morally grey man and a dark romance, this definitely delivered and that is all i have to say.

did i skip the second book of the series because i saw a tik tok about this one and wanted to read it? yes, yes i did and we are not gonna talk about it :3
I would first like to thank Grey’s Promotions and J. Wilder for an advanced copy in return of an honest review!
The initial premise of this book really intrigued me. The whole secret society wasn’t something I had frequently read about, and I was very interested in the plot of the FMC haven’t to retrieve a highly-regarded artefact.
I will say, the first few chapters drew me in. The flashback scene set the context, and the plot had a great foundation. When Bash and Stasia were first introduced to each other, the tension was good and I enjoyed their banter thoroughly.
However, the book took a turn when it took a more “insta-love” approach. i am fine with the trope when the characters have a deep attraction and incredible chemistry with one another. However, with Bash and Stasis, the chemistry felt very surface level. There was no real development of their relationship and there was barely any proper conversation between the two of them that didn’t revolve around their “sexual chemistry” or the heist that Stasia was on. There was a lot of “telling” and not enough “showing” of their relationship, which lead all their dialogue to feel quite cringe and insincere.
To add, the characters themselves felt very flat. All I knew about them was that Stasia’s parents had passed away, and Bash didn’t have a good relationship with his father. There was nothing MORE to them, so it was even hard to enjoy the character side of the book.
I really wish the plot was more fleshed out. I would say the book felt a little empty, and felt as if it was just a compilation of filler chapters. The actual plot was really intriguing, and it definitely has potential to be something great. However, the execution was not my favourite and lead the book to be quite lacklustre.
It was definitely an easy and light book to read, but just wasn’t a book that I connected with!
ARC REVIEW: 4.5 ⭐️ Boy do I love the Everette family! Sebastian + Anastasia were such a fun + entertaining heist story for the third installment in the Twisted Vows series. It is a standalone so you can jump in and be ok, but trust me when I say you don't want to miss out on A Tempting Arrangement + A Twisted Arrangement.
Anastasia's life was struck by tragedy when she was a young girl and she's been consumed by guilt ever since. So when her family finds themselves in financial struggles and needing to come up with cash quickly, she takes it upon herself to find a way to save her + her brother.
Sebastian's life was also struck by tragedy when he was a young boy, but unlike Stasia, he hasn't been consumed by any guilt. He's been able to live his life as the fun loving youngest Everette sibling with ease. But something's missing, so when he spies Stasia behaving oddly at a society function he decides to pursue it not knowing where it would lead.
Stasia + Bash together were electric. Their story was filled with so much action + excitement. It was great to see Stasia slowly lower her walls and learn about who Bash really was as a man. They quickly learn masks can be worn in many different ways, but when stripped away the person underneath is what matters the most.
It's weird to call the dynamic between the brothers + their wives as "found family" because they are LITERALLY family, but I don't know how else to describe it as they are the tightest group of people I've ever read. Their pasts didn't break them apart, but bound them together to be stronger than before. And when each new "sister" is introduced there are no questions, just protection, love, + acceptance for their newest family member.
Tropes: Billionaire Secret society Fake dating Morally grey/possessive MMC Independent/badass FMC
I DNF'd this and was so sad to do so. I was really looking forward to this story as I had read the previous 2 books, but I couldn't get over the editing. Sentences were choppy, ideas were either redundant or contradictory and the story didn't seem to have a good flow. Events, and the story itself, seemed to be very surface level.
Bash and Anastasia have such a fun cat and mouse relationship throughout the story. There’s a lot of mystery and “covert operations” that draw them closer together. Anastasia was so strong for taking on the role of the hero (while her brother was locked away in the tower). And Bash, of course, making mistakes that only the youngest siblings can get away with but falling head over heels, like the rest of his brothers. (See: “I licked you, so you’re mine.”) Throughout it all, we still got the amazing Everett brother banter that makes me laugh and I can’t wait to see Xander’s story.
“Tragedies shouldn’t be allowed to happen on such nice days.”
If you love a romance with strong characters, a pulse-racing plot, and plenty of heat, then “A Devious Arrangement” is a must-read. Bash and Stasia’s story is one I won't be forgetting anytime soon.
Thank you to J. Wilder and Greys Promotions for the opportunity to ARC read this stunning story.
“A Devious Arrangement” is the latest gem in J. Wilder's Twisted Vows series and it did not disappoint.
Stasia, the FMC, is a solid, well-rounded, and engaging character. From the very first page, I was hooked.
Stasia’s development in the book is nothing short of inspiring. Her past is burdened by trauma and loss, and it's clear that she has carried the weight of these experiences for years. However, what makes Stasia such a remarkable character is her resilience. Despite the challenges she’s faced, she’s not defined by her pain; instead, it fuels her determination to take control of her future.
Her strength is not the stereotype of the “badass FMC”, it’s a hard earned kind of resilience that shows through her actions, her choices, and her ability to move forward even when the odds are against her. There’s a vulnerability to Stasia, yet it’s paired with an inner strength that flourishes as she begins to trust and open herself up to Bash and the Everette family.
Then, of course, there's Bash Everette. If you've read the other books in the series, you'll know exactly what to expect: Bash is as charming and goofy as ever. But what I loved most in “A Devious Arrangement” is the depth of his character development. He's no longer just the lovable, carefree goof we've seen before - he becomes a man obsessed with Stasia, but in the most delightful, swoon-worthy way. Throughout the book I was waiting to see if Wilder would fall victim to the age old tale of lovable characters losing their spark in their own books, and yet he stays true to the playful, mischievous nature that made him so endearing in previous books. So credit where credit is due, he’s still my favourite brother after getting his own book!
“You came out of nowhere, Princess. I wasn’t prepared for you. You’ve taken over my every thought, filling my heart. Now, you’re in my veins. The rush pulsing in my ears.”
The plot itself is everything you could want in a romance: engaging, heart racing, and full of twists that kept me on the edge of my seat. The chemistry between Stasia and Bash is palpable, and the buildup leading to their inevitable romance was perfect.
And of course, let's not forget the charm of the Everette brothers, their lovely wives and children. Bash's interactions with his family only add to the warmth and fun of this story. The entire Everette clan is just a delight to read about, and you can’t help but get swept up in their dynamic.
I loved every moment. J. Wilder is a fresh voice in the romance world.
”He murmurs promises in my ears of death and murder, and nothing has ever sounded sweeter.”
I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Oh, my my – had I not been an experienced smut-reader I would probably have found myself in somewhat of a hackle – luckily, my mind is as filthy as a sailor’s so of course I ate it up raw.
Tropes: Second chance, Enemies to lovers, Fake relationship, billionaire romance TW: Talk about death, grief, talk about sexual prostitution, murder, graphic scenes, explicit language.
This is my first time reading anything written by J. Wilder, and I can honestly admit, that I’m a fan! The clever reader will also notice that this means this book was read without the knowledge from book 1 and 2. Does this mean, it can be read as a standalone? Absolutely! I didn’t feel like I was missing anything critical to the plot.
Let’s talk characters, because… you know why! Sebastian “Bash” Everette is everything I could have wished for, but didn’t expect in a dark, billionaire romance. He is basically the wild child, never settling down, playboy-type, until he meets The one – I know, kinda what to be expected, buuuuut this guy, is *chef’s kiss* in the different department.
Then we have the FMC Anastasia, who because of a debt her father made (with the Italian mob none the less) goes to her Russian family for help – and surprise they wont, unless she retrieves something for them within the Order of Saints, to protect herself and her brother. And as you might be guessing (correctly) this is the cause of the ”fake” relationship between her and Bash. What I especially like about Stasia is that she is a freaking badass – I mean stealing her brothers mask and robe only to dress us as him, to get the tiara and save her brother and risking her life while doing it, one can only appreciate that. There’s a lot going on about her trying to get this tiara, and the whole thief-thing really works and I was totally invested, cheering on her, celebrating her victories and grieving her failures.
I really love, the dynamic between Stasia and Bash and how he literally turns into a (honestly) mush. And even though I don't like jealousy, he is pretty cute when it comes to sharing her attention – even when it comes to her brother . Their connection is so pure and innocent, considering the fact that this is supposed to be a dark romance. But I’ll let you in on a little secret. It’s really not THAT dark
The other Everette brothers, are priceless side characters, their banter clearly states the relationship and just binds the story together perfectly – I especially love Xander and his remarks that have made me laugh out loud on multiple occasions.
The banter and humor in general in this book, works really well – let me give you another example .
The storyline works really well and had me glued to the pages – honestly, I wasn’t really ready for it to be over but alas, here we are all good things must come to an end.
ARC Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ “I licked you, so you’re mine.”
A Devious Arrangement was a fast-paced and fun read! With almost no angst and no third-act breakup, it was almost sweet, though still with spice and some hard edges. You can't overlook that this is still a secret society with men of questionable morals. All for a good cause when it comes to protecting what they see as theirs.
I adored Bash. He brought out the cute aggression in full force. Made me want to squeeze him to bits! Bash was just as obsessive about Anastasia as his older brothers were about their women, but his methods to woo her weren't as red-flaggy. Sure, he withheld some crucial information and forced her into a fake dating situation to keep her close, but he didn't kidnap her or actually "force" her into anything. She was just as willing to keep up the charade of a happy couple to get what she wanted.
Anastasia... she was borderline too stupid to live. Thank goodness she caught Bash's attention and had him there to back her up because she was WAY out of her league trying to steal from The Saints. She's a damn ballerina, and while she did grow up in the society, she was a princess who had to sit still and look pretty. Not wield guns and go sneaking around.
This is a medium-burn and spicy MF romance. The third book in the Twisted Vows series, it can be read as a complete standalone, though I would recommend reading the series in release order for the best experience.
If you're looking for a lighter "dark" romance with bloodshed and death, but the MMC is all-in for his women, this book is perfect for you!
Thank you, Jessa Wilder and Grey's Promotion for the ARC.
Bash is silly, and I love that Matthias immediately was like “my little sister” the brothers love is so easily given! While this book has underlying issues that get solved, this story mostly focuses on Bash and his obsession with Stasia! He’s like the ultimate golden retriever but still possessive and ready to protect Stasia at all costs. And Stasia is so headstrong and willing to do whatever to protect her brother for what she feels like she owes him. This book is full of Bash being overprotective but also trying to let Stasia have her time to shine, the brothers immediately loving her and welcoming her to the family which we love! And Stasia learning that she does deserve to have someone care and love her exactly how she is! I adore this series and I can’t wait for Xanders book🖤 Thank you J Wilder and Greys Promotions for the arc!
I eat up everything J Wilder drops and this was no exception. I fell i. love with Bash in book one so no surprise here when I fell in love with him even more in his book.
I loved the insta lust & their dynamic so much! I ate them up!
A lipsit totuși.. acel ceva..pt a-i da 5☆ desi mi-a plăcut cartea f mult. Happy end garantat!
I need a Sebastian Everett in my life. I thought Mathias was going to be my favorite Everett brother but he has been dethroned. Bash was the perfect golden retriever but still morally grey MMC. He was obsessed with Anastasia from the first conversation and I loved their dynamic throughout the whole book. They were so addictive I got through the book in one sitting and it got me out of my slump. Bash and Anastasia are officially my favorite couple from this series they were perfect together and I loved them. Also the plot line in this book was very interesting and it played a big role in the relationship between the two main characters and it made the book a lot more interesting as well.
Bash and Anastasia had such fantastic chemistry and banter. I loved everything about them. I love all the books in the series but this is now my favorite.
This is the 3rd book in the Twisted Vows series, but it can be read as a standalone. The entire series is great.
Bash is a fun-loving, obsessed MMC with a dark side, and Stasia is fierce and strong. She does not back down from the hard things.
We get to see some of Bash's brothers and their families in this one, and I love how they accept Stasia into their family. They definitely have her back. The relationships the brothers have with each other is heart warming.
If you are looking for a morally grey MMC, a strong FMC, a great plot with twist, and hot spice, then definitely read this book.

I jumped into this series without reading the first two books—and wow, I was hooked from page one! This book had everything I love a dark romance, morally gray hero who’s also obsession with her, and a secret society that keeps you on edge of your seat.
Bash is the definition of obsessed in the best way. He’s protective, possessive, and has a soft side reserved only for her. And Anastasia? She’s a force to be reckoned with—fierce, selfless, and willing to risk everything for the people she loves.
Now, excuse me while I go binge books one and two because I must have more! If you love dark romance, obsessive heroes, and high-stakes secrets, add this to your TBR immediately!
I think what I love most about this series is that when the Everette brothers fall, they fall hard and Bash is no exception to this. He was down bad for Anastasia and I loved every single moment.💅
This book follows Bash and Anastasia. Anastasia finds herself in quite a predicament in which her father has ran her family into the height of debt and she reaches out to her estranged grandmother to help pay off the debt but her grandmother has conditions and one of these is to retrieve a tiara that was in her mothers possession before she passed. Of course this item is now under lock and key by the order of the saints and this is how Bash comes in.
Bash and Anastasia run in the same circles and his attention has always been captured by the fiery redhead but she surprises him even further when she is caught read handed by him when she is trying to find more information on the tiara’s whereabouts. Bash sees this as an opportunity to use this to his advantage in which he will assist Anastasia in its retrieval but under the condition she poses as his girlfriend, and when I say poses he merely says this for her benefit because nothing is fake on Bash’s part and he makes this quite clear.
I absolutely loved Bash, he is quite the jokester and he loves to rile Anastasia up quite a bit. He is a character who is very direct with his intentions which is what we love to see👏🏼 Anastasia, is feisty and fiery and these are two qualities I love to see in a FMC. She definitely keeps Bash on his toes. Together these two really pack the heat, the chemistry is absolutely undeniable🥰
Another thing I quite like about the Everette brothers is their acceptance of each others girls straight of the bat. I found it adorable how Xavier, Matthias and Damon referred to Ana as their sister in law the moment they knew Bash’s intentions.
I cannot wait to see what is in story next for the Everette brothers. Thank you so much to the author and greys promotions who provided this e-arc for my honest thoughts💭
ARC Review 📖 A Devious Arrangement Twisted Vows Book 3 Written by Jessa Wilder
First not love the name Anastasia that alone sold me on how much I'm going to love hers and Bash story. I'm also so ready for Bash to finally find his obsession like his brothers have. I just know he's going to fall hard.
Love the little games Bash plays with her base on the fact that he knows she is attached to him even if her words are the opposite. The way this man is obsessed with her is utter perfection. He would do anything for her, literally anything. He is so obsessed he know she will become his wife so he puts his name under her phone as a future husband even though she keeps changing it to Mr. Delusional. Let's just say she's not at the same stage as him but he knows in time she will feel the same.
He may be morally grey but I'm swooning with how he treats her and how alpha male possessive he is of her. If he has his way she would never be apart from him. He is always watching her. I love his humorEven if everyone struggles to take him seriously because he always makes jokes. She doesn't put up with his shit in the best way possible.
My man is here!!!! Bash Everette has finally got his book and let’s be honest this man likes to wave the same red flags that his older brothers do, but in such a fantastic way. When he sees Anastasia, he knows that she is his. No one else will do. It is the moment he calls her Stasia, and she tries to fight with him, we get to witness their banter which is so much fun. Anastasia needs to pretend to be her brother to get something from the Saints vault and she will stop at nothing to get it to help her brother. Stasia is not a weak person, and I love it. She is smart and cunning and the banter she kicks up between her and Bash is fantastic. This story has a fan finding his one person and then refusing her to ever be anything but his. He will do whatever he has to, show her however is necessary, to prove to her that she was his from the start. All the while she is digging her heels in the dirt until she realizes that his words have meaning, and he only uses them with her. Sad that the last brother’s book is next because that means this world is closing soon, but love every minute I get to see Bash on page.
I vaguely remember the other two books... I remember kidnapping and stalking and what have you... But like. Were the fmc's so damn irritating? I saw a TikTok recently from an author that said it was really difficult to write an fmc because women are generally hyper critical of them... Which, sure. I can see that. But stasia was so whiny, continued to do things she knew she shouldn't, complained about the consequences... Even though they were pretty NICE consequences... And was all around a very immature 25 year old...
Bash deserved better. He thought she was hot. Then it became toxic. Poor guy.
Why did I rate it 4 stars? Because Bash was really really great. Like way better than his brothers.
Bash and Anastasia’s lord it was a wonderful book. I loved it so much had hooked from the very first page. Bash is just like his other brothers they will get what they want at any cost necessary. When another Everett brother bites the dust has you thinking what Xander will due when his turns comes. Seeing how bash protects Stasia from the very beginning from his own brothers and the secret society. I love the way J. Wilder writes she is one of my favorite authors. This book is a most read and the series also. Get ready the spiciness in this book is on point.
Favorite quote: “You are my addiction, Anastasia. I hope you’re ready for what that means.”
This was a great time. It’s technically a dark romance. But I would consider it like a cozy dark romance. It was sweet and endearing. In a way only a darker book can be. I loved the spice it balance with the story perfectly.
There is great banter and wit between the two MCs. And watching their push and pull was delightful. I thought this was a great story. And I loved even more that there is no third action breakup. Just some tension and disagreements, a sprinkle of action, and a whole lot of love.
I received this book as an ARC for free. I am voluntarily leaving this review.
Instantly captivated by this book! As an interconnected standalone, I did start with this one and was pleasantly surprised! I will definitely be adding books one and two to my tbr.
Bash and Stasia had great chemistry, and I love how obsessed he was with her. The banter was fun, and I loved the balance of plot and spice.
