Cecily is in a bit of a predicament after falling for Zeke, captain of the fifth princess' knights. It's hilarious and a bit surprisingly that she would craft such an odd potion and then be convinced that all actions are a result only of that unintended drink that she had determined not to give Zeke after starting to get to know him. Either her changes made it stronger than expected, or there's something else at work here. The scene with Snow is just hilarious, and it's good to see that others in the palace also don't hate witches. Now if Cecily can calm her troubled heart and figure things out with Zeke for real, perhaps they can find the end of their story.

I like how fleshed out Cecily is despite how short this initial volume was, and I especially liked seeing the bit including her parents. I’m unsure of just how effective her love potion is on Zeke, although I alike their overall dynamic together. I’m pretty curious to see how this wrap up in this next and final volume.
