Rate this book
An untimely death. A grand old home with new owners. A past that won't stay in the past. What really happened at Greenwood's Castle?

It's 1990 and the Westminster family has made the leap of faith to live their dreams in a small rural town in a home that will become their retirement plan -- Operating a bed and breakfast. The house, known by outsiders as 'Greenwood's Castle' and by the protective locals as 'the Castle', has everything the Westminsters want -- acreage, a pond, garden, and a rich and full history. It has sat empty for a decade since the elderly owners' stepfather passed away and the house is 'too big' for the twin sisters to properly care for. But to the Westminsters, they will make it paradise.

However, the moment the very logical Dr. Adam Westminster, his historian wife Dr. Georgia Westminster, and their teenage daughter begin to settle into their home, they uncover a tragic mystery that had been very intentionally hidden for over sixty years, and sets in motion events the Westminster family never bargained for.

What is the truth to the mysterious happenings at Greenwood's Castle?

This is a dual timeline mystery, going between the 1920s and 1990.

The truth will set you free

When I began this book little by little more characters were added one point I became extremely confused, jumping back from the past to the present.
I nearly put the book down and stopped reading because I was confused
But I couldn't put the book down I had become so engrossed in this family and the people involved and the ghosts in the CASTLE AT GREENWOOD
The book is amazing, I have never read anything quite like it
I actually became so engrossed in the family and their relationships to one another
On my third day of reading, I happen to have hurt my back. I had a massage that day and she told me to stay on my heating pad.
Which I happily did. I could not put this book down. I became so engrossed in the characters that I felt like I was part of the books history I made it through that day and had to stop before the last chapter because it was bedtime.
I got up to the next morning, eager to read and finish the book and was amazed at myself for putting things together before the ending
I just finished the book this morning.
It was an amazing ride one that I haven't taken before because I never read another book like this
I read lots of books
But became so engrossed in this family, the ghosts and their reasons for being still in the house, I normally will only allow myself so many chapters and if they're long ones, maybe just one
I would recommend this book to everyone!

It brought tears to my eyes several times and joy my heart just as many
I've never written a review on any of the books that I read till today
I read many books through the year more than 200
I would recommend this book to everyone
Family, customs, family, secrets, ghosts ,friendships that endured through the years.

I enjoyed this book, although I figured out the secret well before the end. The author could have used a better editor or copy reader. The book has some obvious errors. For example, in one instance she reversed the characters' names, using one name when she clearly meant another. There are several places where she started to say something one way and changed her mind, with both versions accidently left in the text. The book seems to be self-published, which may explain why the mistakes were not found. I say this not to criticize but to, hopefully, caution the author to be more careful with proofing in the future. As I said, I did enjoy the book and do recommend it to others who like mysteries and ghost stories.
