You let me stay here, and I’ll take care of you―how’s that sound? This was a mistake. A very big mistake. Well, it’s not like Yuri Hayama could just leave an unconscious child in the middle of the street…However, since her phone was dead, she ended up bringing him back to her place, which leads to the current dilemma―there’s a ridiculously hot guy in her bed! Plus, because he has a mysterious ability to transform from angelically cherubic to sinfully sexy and zero qualms about using it to get whatever he wants, he’s already got her twisted around his little finger… =
I would have rated this one higher, as I really liked that ending, but the age gap with him being 18 and her 28!
Correct, nothing of a romantic nature/feelings have occurred, yet, but one can see where this is most likely heading.
The age difference is a tad bit uncomfortable and if it was reversed with the woman being ten years younger, that would be too much for most I think.
Also, they made him much more mature/adult seeming than she is, which smacks slightly misogynistic. She is older, yet needs a barely legal man to save her from herself and the bad circumstances she basically put herself into.
Other than that, the storyline is interesting. Not sure if I will be continuing with this one, tbh.
3, the age and female incompetency is a turn off, stars.

I'm not even fully sure what to say because I simply enjoyed my time reading this! It reminds me of my experience with the manga Home Sweet Home in that there is nothing groundbreaking about the series, but I absolutely love it for that because it's just so enjoyable! There were so many fun and sweet shenanigans that I felt myself laughing more often than not, which surprised me because I was unsure of what to think about the ML turning into a kid! LOL!
And speaking of, there is NOTHING sus or fishy happening here, and I deeply appreciated that! I was a little apprehensive about whether Yuri would find him romantically cute in kid form, but there was none of that! (Yes, she calls him cute, but it was not in a romantic sense.) Since there was nothing weird or icky going on here, I let myself relax and enjoy how Ren could do things in kid form that NO WAY could he do as an adult! (Thank you for doing what you did to her ex because that was AWESOME!)
I'm really excited to read more of this one because of how nice the art is, how fun the story is, and just overall how good of a time it is! Yuri had so many horrible things happen at the beginning that it was easy to cheer for her and will definitely continue to cheer for her as the story goes on!
Good start to what appears to be a fairly wholesome romance series. Yuri is an over-worked office worker who has barely time to look after herself. She’s about to lose her home because of a loan she can’t pay back, on top of which her high-achieving boyfriend just dumped her.
On her way home, she finds a little boy collapsed on the street and out of options, brings him to her home. But to her surprise, he transforms into a handsome young man, Ren. He has a collar that controls the change. He’s super nice to her, feeding her and looking after her, so when he asks if he can stay, she says yes.
There’s more to him than meets the eye, and who he truly is is revealed already in the first volume—basically on the first pages, if one pays attention. And he’s about to turn Yuri’s life upside down too.
This was cute and fun, but maybe a bit hasty, since nothing except why Ren is the way he is, was left to later volumes. Art was good. I’d continue with the series.
EDIT: there are 12 volumes in the series. I wonder how the story will be able to carry that long with all the main cards on the table already here.
I received a free copy from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.
After reading the synopsis, I still didn't realize what a ride this story was going to be.
Our FMC, Yuri Hayama, is a hard worker who prioritizes work over her own well being. After a bad night she finds a young kid in the street. With her phone dying and no one around to call for help, she takes him home and sleeps next to him so he's safe and warm. Only for Yuri to wake up and find a fully developed man staring back at her. How did a little boy turn into a grown man overnight?!
This first volume was a solid 3.75 and will likely get higher the more we learn about Ren, our 1/2 kid 1/2 man character, and his family origins.
With such a eccentric cast and many avenues for Yuri and Ren's relationship to take, I'm very excited to see what lies ahead of them in the following volumes. As long as Ren keeps taking care of Yuri and making sure she's fed, I may be able to ignore any grey flags.
Thanks so much to Yen Press for the DRC. Can't wait to hear others thoughts when this volume is published in July.
