Khyana was focused. She had built some stability around her fragile mindset over the last six years and was determined to keep herself from any nonsense that would cause her to lower her guard. Whether that nonsense was a relationship or anything related to the matters of her heart, Khyana wanted no parts. Continuing to advance her successful business, attending her scheduled therapy appointments, and hanging with her best friend when she wasn’t occupied with another, Khyana was pleased with her mundane life. Little did she know that simply wanting a decent, safe meal during a lunch break would have her meeting someone who would have her doing everything she had avoided since her last heartbreak.
Kheoric, or Trap to his set, had one goal after being released from to do whatever he needed to not find himself behind those concrete walls again. With a plan to do more than bust his gun as he had done since he was fifteen years old, Trap knew he had to move forward with his life even though he had lost six years of it behind a woman not worth the attempted murder charge. Stuck between his childhood memories, the comfortability of his past, and his need for peace in his future, Trap felt the pressure of the little Devil constantly dancing on his shoulder. But meeting a little cutie with a big booty—and a bigger appetite—may be the trigger Trap needs to do the inner work to thrive after all the turmoil he’s experienced.
As Khyana and Kheoric navigate the complexities of friendship, trauma, and love, they realize that healing for themselves isn’t enough. All in Collierville are warned to Proceed with Kaution once intentions are made because Trap and his boys, Hendrix, Dreaux, and Supreme, are known to protect and honor everything they love, including their women and each other.

Many books ago, I inquired if there would be a story about Trap - because I knew there was more to him than the snippets we had seen. I will say, that Trap’s story was worth the wait! The story was intriguing, heart-warming, and inspiring. Unique delivered a beautiful love story, full of raw emotions and a level of vulnerability that made me feel so many things.
The prologue provided just enough detail about how Trap spent six years of his young life behind bars. When the story begins, Trap is released and ready to face his new reality. The realistic part about this was it showed how much support Trap had from his friends - Supreme and Dreaux. So many people are released from prison and have no idea how to reintegrate into society, and they may end up resorting to unfavorable behaviors. Trap’s support system ensured he was set up to succeed, and I loved that the most! Khyana was the perfect partner for Trap. I loved her independence and business-savvy mindset. She overcame so many obstacles in life, but she persevered.
Trap made a lasting impression on Khyana when she came to his food truck and received A1 customer service. Immediately, I knew Trap’s love language was acts of service, and he went above and beyond to cater to his “Pretty Khy.” I was swooning every time he offered to feed her, and when he went into protective mode. We love a thoughtful man! The relationship between Trap and Khyana was everything I needed and more - the way they loved each other out loud was so special.
I loved how the sensitive topics were addressed, and the fact that healing was shown on page. I love seeing characters do “the work” and work to heal the broken parts of their hearts. Bonus points when both characters are willing to support each other through the thick of things. I think out of the crew, Trap and Khyana’s story was the most surprising because I had no idea what to expect, but I enjoyed every bit of it. I am eager to see what is next for this crew! Amazing job!!
This was is absolutely my FAVORITE book of this series!!!
Trap won me over & QUICKLY! He was basically mute prior to going to jail 😂 so getting to see more about him in this book completely changed my perspective of who he was!!
Khyana had been through so much in her past, I wasn’t sure what to expect when she met Trap! I surely wasn’t expecting things to play out the way they did between them!! The way the pieces of the puzzle fit together between the two of them was prefect!! Their love story gave me all the feels 🥰 the way they loved each other through all of their past hurt & trauma was everythingggg!! Finding happiness after all they’d both been through was so heartwarming 🥺
Milani & Preme are still my favs as well those two are a match made in heaven 😭 Drew & Aysa are just too cute! I love their whole friend group!!
This has definitely been one of my favorite series from start to finish!! 🥰 I hope to see more from them in the future!!
I knew Trap's story was going to be my favorite, and Unique didn't disappoint. Trap and Khyanna met so organically, and he's been applying pressure ever since. Khyanna's resistance was funny because she didn't stand a chance once Trap had his mind and heart set on her. It was so gratifying seeing him come out of his shell and release his demons to become better for himself and his relationship with Khyanna. I love the addition of therapy that was added in the book for not only the couple but Trap's mother as well.
4.5 ⭐️ “Just know that I’ll never play with you, nor will I play about you.“ ❤️ “I love you, Khyana.. I really do.. I’m forever indebted to you.”❤️ “Khyana was so perfect to me. I never thought a n*gga like me would ever experience something so good .. But he did. He blessed me with the purest version of love there was. He blessed me with something so good that I actually looked forward to the future..” ❤️
Tropes Black romance He falls first He doesn’t play about her He’s a little crazy .. but crazy about her lol Protective / Posessive MMC Found family Dealing with and healing from trauma HEA
I really enjoyed this. Trap (Kheoric) and Khyana were so good together. They were each other’s peace, love, safe space, and true life partners. Kheoric didn’t play about his girl from the moment he laid eyes on her and I loved that for her. I also loved seeing the life Khyana spoke into Kheoric constantly. Khyana was a survivor. I hated seeing what she went through at the hands of her dad, but seeing that she had into a strong, successful, beautiful woman was amazing. Kheoric had his own traumas as well, and I love that he was in therapy and working to repair his relationship with his mom. I loved his friend group and loved that they accepted Khyana into the group so easily. They were hilarious, and I’m definitely going back to read their books. I love what we found out at the end, I just would’ve loved to have seen him propose to her, then actually getting married, and/or their pregnancy/them having their child, especially since she was certain she could’ve get pregnant or have kids
So far I’m not feeling Khyana or Kheoric. Khy is leading Tessa on as she know Tessa wants more but ain’t cut her loose. Plus if she would be made about Mira and Ace, even though she hasn’t dealt with a man in 9 years then she should see why Mira is upset about her and Kheoric.
Kheoric and this whoa is me, I don’t want a hand out attitude is annoying. I was hoping it got better in his personal book. Instead we get more of it. Also he keeps saying Mira got him caught up. Yes she cheated on him. The sane thing to do is to leave the person alone. Not open fire. The reason he got looked up were due to his actions. I get not messing with Mira anymore on any level bc she is disloyal but he has to own those 6 years.
As the story progresses I hope I can root for the MC.
I’m glad I kept reading. I appreciate seeing the work Kheoric and his mom did to amend their relationship. As well as the growth btwn him and Khyana.
It was also fun to see the rest of the gang and how they brought Khy into the fold
You ever read something that pulls at your heartstrings so much that it keeps you up at night? This one did that for me. Kheoric and Khyana were what each other needed to navigate the outcome years of trauma had on each of them. What I loved most was how organic their relationship was. It was so refreshing for them to grow in love with one another. Despite the craziness with exes, friends, and family, they were each other’s priority. Top freaking tier! I love how they communicated, held one another accountable, and pushed each other to want more. The reconciliation between Kheoric and his mother made my heart smile. The acknowledgment of how therapy helped each of them grow individually and together was the icing on the cake.
Now…I’m sensing that Enzo has a story brewing and I plan to be right here to read it.
Have you ever been so anxious to get the characters back story ?! Trap is one of them the man the mystery our silent killer. My crash out bae who is now reformed fresh out the pen. Kheoric mind is on the money, and his food truck business nothing really matters until Pretty Khy. Unique really saved the best for last. As always, please read the first book for Proceed with Kaution, so you won’t be confused. Khyana exudes independence I like how she wasn’t pressed for Trap. Although she did irritate me because girl if you don’t let that man in! Both were guarded which is understandable especially the turmoil they went through. I like how they took their time getting to know each other. The storyline flowed well, but I’m sad this is it. Nevertheless I enjoyed every bit of it.
I, admittedly, jumped into this book without reading the previous two. I can confidently say it didn't harm my reading experience. Trap and Khyanna are two young people trying to get settled in life. Trap is starting life over and is realizing that prioritizing his dreams are most important until fate allows him a chance to meet with a kindred soul, Khyanna. I loved that this is just a good love story without too many extra frills. Each character has a load they carry, and over time, they get to unpack their load and find a home within each other's hearts. I thought the story was beautifully written, and Trap was an absolute nut job.
Proceed with Kaurion: A Collierville Heights Take:Trap
Yes honey, I am Team Trap. My guy went through. He crashed out on Mira, had to sit down for six years, and came out a better man. His boys, Dreaux, Preme, and Drix stood ten toes and kept him straight.
They paid it forward for him, having their backs always. Meeting Khy was his saving grace. She tried her best not to like him, but he forced his way into her life. They needed each other more than they knew. Deep childhood scars and disfunction played heavily on their mental. However, love gave them a better outlook on life.
I so loved this book. I’m happy both Trap and Khy got together and got to heal from their trauma. I love that the crew accepted Khy with open arms and love on her. Tip was not the best friend but I do hope in the future they can mend fences. I love that Trap finally forgave his OG. They are going to be wonderful parents because they both know what it is like to not have good parents.
I rarely if ever write book reviews, I’m more of a TikTok reviewer but GIRL! You wrote tf out of this book! Trap was so refreshing to read about! I loved his growth! From the other book he was a hot head but seeing him in a new light was really refreshing. I loved Khy aka Gangsta. They both overcame so much and grew together. I loved this!
I loved everything about Trap evolving and becoming the man he always wanted to be. Kheoric and Khyana were made for each other, as well as healed one another. The things that they both endured made my heart bleed. Relationships were mended and others came to a end foe the sake of peace. Really good read and would love a holiday update on everyone.
Been waiting to hear Trap’s voice, and baby did not disappoint. So glad he was willing to do the work to heal not only for himself but for the people he loves. The maturity and growth he was able to show was truly amazing. Kay being the perfect one for him was just the icing on the cake.
This was the best book of the series. I loved all of their stories but Trap and Khyana were dealt some really bad hands in life, but to watch them heal was amazing. From book 1 to 3 Atraio changed a lot even with him losing six years of his life he came out better and worked on healing himself. This book was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I give the series ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
I really really loved this book. Trap was a good man and I really loved him. The love story between him and gangsta was wonderful to read. Was waiting to read him since the last book and it was worth the wait. Unique is a great other!
Kheroic & Khyanna!!! Trap was fresh out of prison. His only goal was to get his life together. His parents were a headache. He wanted nothing to do with his ex. He had his boys and that was enough. Then he laid eyes on pretty a.. Khy! Could she be the one for him?
One thing Unique gone do is WRITE A BOOK! I loved reading about Trap in the other books and getting to his story and background was great. I enjoyed seeing him and pretty khy fall in love as well as heal from their trauma.
A crazy beautiful love story. Trap found love that helped him heal from his past and want a beautiful future. His love helped Khy continue to heal from her past and find true love and friendship that respected her boundaries.
I love the growth that trap displayed! Who’s that was still crappy until the end. I would’ve never expected that gangsta would do such a thing. I can’t wait to read about info.
Trap was a character designed for my b own heart. The layers. The trauma. I lived for his love story blossoming. I love how he stood in business when it came to that other girl. Trap to accountability and stuck to his plan. Chefs kiss
This was BY FAR my favorite book in the series! Trap went through it and so did Khy, but I absolutely loved how everyone LOVED Trap and was patient with him. I found myself wanting to give him a hug..lol. Great read!
This book did a good job addressing growth and healing. Realizing everyone can't go further in life with you and it's OK. Learning to accept other's life choices.
