Rate this book
A world destroyed by nuclear disaster.
A corrupt government.
And the blood of the six is the only key to saving the world.

"Now what," I asked nervously.
"Now it's all up to you."

A devastating nuclear explosion causing massive pollution divided the world in the City, populated by the world’s richest and headquarters to the omnipotent Government that controls the allocation of all resources; and the Village, where the rest of the population is left to fight for a chance at surviving in unliveable conditions.

Samantha George was just a kid when the explosion happened and ripped her whole life apart. Now a member of the Village’s underground resistance, she discovers there might be a cure to the world’s pollution hidden deep inside the city. Yet the serum that can heal the earth and take down the Government is locked in a safe with a unique combination, requiring the blood of six teenagers selected in utero by rogue scientists.

A bookworm, a know-it-all, a skater, a brat, a jock and an outcast.

Samantha will do whatever it takes to track the teens and get her hands on the serum. But with the all-powerful Government on her heels and no clue where to start, will Samantha find the key to saving the world in time? Or is it already too late?

Six Uprising is an unputdownable, thrilling dystopian story of resilience, betrayal, and friendship, perfect for fans of Divergent and The Hunger Games.

The storyline is interesting, but there are lots of mistakes in the book. Sometimes the wrong name is used between Carly and Claire. The wrong pronouns have been used. I’m not a fan of the constant POV changes. I feel like some things need to be developed more. It was weird that most of the teens had just met and suddenly they knew each other so well.

got it for a stuff ur kindle event and honestly really enjoyed this book!!! but help i didn’t realize this was a series?? kinda figured bc it felt too complex to start and end in the same book. there were a lot of good things abt the book but ill make a compliment sandwich instead!!!

bad things: the pacing??? chat what was going on like actually. where was the actual training??? the time skips kinda baffled me especially at the end.
some characters weren’t fleshed out in a way that made them memorable. also having two main characters be named carly and claire is diabolical. lowkey was confused😞✊🏼
needs maybe another editor😭 there were strange mistakes that kinda took me out of the moment and shocked me out of left field like mixing up claire and carly.
plot holes i think?? like we don’t have books but we are watching frozen like im confused. unless it was bootleg. i am also stupid poopid sometimes.

good things: the world was interesting‼️ the premise is super cool and the split between the two parts was interesting. i wish we knew more abt the neighborhood or daily life in the village, but maybe more to come in the next book???
i feel like there’s a lot of subplots happening and i’m interested‼️
i was really invested in the relationships between characters‼️
some of the character developments were good like becca and troy and claire‼️
the plot in general was interesting and had a cool premise😱

A Thrilling Quest for Survival in a Divided World...

In this compelling dystopian fiction, debut author Dana Mizrahi paints a devastating image of a world shattered by nuclear disaster. Readers follow Samantha George, a brave and courageous resistance fighter on a high-stakes mission to obtain a world-saving serum. Is there a catch? The remedy requires blood samples from six different teens, each with their own captivating personalities and difficulties to this intricate puzzle.

The story expertly blends themes of class divide, environmental damage, and adolescent determination into a thrilling adventure. While the idea may mirror typical apocalyptic elements, this novel stands out for its focus on six individual characters and their biological connection to humanity's redemption. The author brings a new perspective to the genre with incisive world-building and authentic character relationships, making this an engaging read for both YA fans and newbies to dystopian literature. Highly recommended. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
