She has secrets, but she can’t remember what they are.

Paramedic Travis Monroe has honed his emotional shield when it comes to trauma, but when a terrified and injured woman clings to him after a devastating accident, her touch threatens to break through his carefully constructed defenses. She’s scared and alone, and she can’t remember anything.

Unable to remember half of her life, Isabella Young latches onto the kind EMT whose patience becomes her solace as she struggles to put the pieces of her life together. As each day passes, Travis is becoming more than just her caretaker—he’s becoming her fiercest advocate in a world that suddenly makes no sense.

As Travis arranges for Isabella to stay with his friend and helps her get back on her feet, fragments of her past begin to surface, and the truth is far from pretty, threatening to entangle them both.

When the ugly truth begins to push them apart, Isabella must decide if she will confront the darkness of her past or continue running from it. When law enforcement issues a public warrant for her arrest, time and options quickly run out.

Now, Travis must decide how far he will go to protect a woman he barely knows but can’t bear to lose. Can he save Isabella from the sins of her forgotten past, or will the long arm of the law tear them apart forever?

Book 4 in the Love in Blackwater Series

Blog post https://bookloveramanda.blogspot.com/...

YALLLLL MANDI DID IT AGAIN! These books just keep getting better and better! WOOOOWW! I was SO invested in this one. We have a Paramedic MMC, FMC who loses her memories, HIGH STAKES with TWISTS and TURNS, beautiful faith elements!! ALL. THE. THINGS!

This is not like anything Mandi has done from what I have read so far and I just loveeeed it so much.

OK now that I am done GUSHING --- let's get into what this is about:

Paramedic Travis Monroe helps save our girl Isabella Young from a tragic accident. We know from the beginning of the book she was running away from a situation. She's injured and Travis doesn't want to leave her side, even after she goes to the hospital. He feels the Lord telling him to check on her and they start talking through things. She doesn't remember much about herself, other than her name and a few small things. She definitely doesn't remember why she is in Blackwater or events leading up to her accident that brought her and Travis together. As Travis is helping her get on her feet, they start to have feelings for one another - yet TWISTS and TURNS ensue and we are left with QUITE THE STORY!

This book had me in a chokehold - I had to know ALL the things yall! I loved it so much. Seeing Isabella process through her trauma and stand in her faith was beautiful. Seeing her also take a stand was important. I always love the faith content in Mandi's books and this brought it in such a beautiful way. Travis was such a cinnamon roll who I loved too!

Highly recommended this series you guys! Thank you Mandi for sending me this book to honestly read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

“𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞. 𝐁𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞.”

I’m loving this series, which features characters who need to be saved physically and spiritually.

This installment features Isabella Young and centers around second chances and memory loss. Bella is heading in the right direction towards Blackwater when she experiences an accident beyond her control. Left for dead, she has paramedic Travis Monroe to thank for saving her.

Travis is the perfect combination of a gentleman and a cinnamon bun hunky dude!

The amnesia added to the plot and was a great roadblock to Travis and Bella’s attraction. Wondering if Bella’s previous life would put a kibosh on a potential romance kept me flipping pages. I was not expecting the reveal!

I loved the reminders that if we put God first, everything else will fall into place.

Added ‘𝒕𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅’ to my lexicon!

GENRE
-Christian romantic suspense

CONTENT
-🤬: none
-❤️: just kisses
-⚠️: attempted murder, childhood physical & emotional abuse, domestic violence, rape, murder

I LOVE this series by Mandi Blake. While Gage and Hadley (from Love in the Wild) still hold my favorite place, I think Travis and Bella may be second favorite! Travis is paramedic who is called to the site of a hit-and-run, where the pedestrian is in critical condition. Travis is drawn to know more about the woman he helped save but the problem is...she doesn't remember much about herself. While she is able to recall her name and knows that her parents were abusive and she doesn't have contact with them now, her memories of the last five years are not accessible. She has no ID, no money, and no clue what she's going to do. Thankfully, the town of Blackwater rallies around her and helps her find obtain clothes, a job, housing. When Bella's memory is triggered, she's terrified. Her brain was really doing her a solid by blocking out memories of even more abuse.

I don't want to say more because there are a lot of twists and shocking reveals that occur throughout the story. The story had a grip on me and I couldn't go to sleep until I had finished and knew how it resolved.

Favorite Quotes:
😂 On the one hand, it was nice to see his friends happy and starting families. On the other, he wanted to stab his eyes out with a rusty butter knife.

😍 Travis took his attention off the road to look at her. "Listen to me, and I'll make you forget everything he ever said to you."

❤️ "You think I haven't thought about all of that? Let me skip to the end where I tell you that I want to be with you anyway. I want to be the one who stands beside you. No matter what happens, I'm the one you can always count on. I'm not going anywhere."

🙏🏻 "I'll take care of the things I can control and pray about the things I can't."

💍 "You have my heart. Take my name. If I could give you more, I would. I'll give you everything I have."

*Thanks to the author for the advanced copy. No positive review was required. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Swoon Scale: 🥰 🥰🥰🥰
Release Date: February 17th

“We want the same thing, but we’ll both hate ourselves if you end up remembering you already love someone else.”

Get ready to swoon over Travis. The EMT who saves Bella and helps her get her life back in order, despite her loosing her memory and having no idea how she got to Blackwater and why she was there. Then…plot twist! 🤯

Another awesome book from Mandi Blake. As a person that has read almost every single one of her books, I have to say this is one of my favorites. Both Travis and Bella were such amazing characters. The way their love grew throughout the book was so beautiful to read. We get some suspense along with all the found family vibes, some funny moments and a whole lot of faith. This was a beautiful, heartwarming book.
Mandi, please point me in the direction of Blackwater because I want to move there and be a part of these characters lives. Finding a Jesus loving Cowboy would definitely be a major plus! Just Sayin’.

The latest installment in the “Love in Blackwater” series has everything! From protector/hero tropes, to found family to drama and suspense, fun characters and plot turns await readers in the chapters of this tome. Above all, thankfully, themes of fresh starts, God’s unrelenting love, and hope are also beautifully woven in this novel.

Bella is kind and finds something to fight for. Swoon-worthy Travis gets the family he lost thanks to his loyal heart. I wish there were a few more scenes between Tammy Benson and Bella since they have such a sweet dynamic. The great thing about this series is readers will be able to get more grins and giggles from last beloved characters due to the interconnected tales this series has!

I loved reading Love and Memories and can’t wait for the next Mandi Blake book.

I'm still waiting for my heart to stop beating so fast...

This novel was fantastic. I loved Travis and Bella, both as individual characters and together. Every single step of their story was so beautifully written and fully shaped by their faith, it was absolutely incredible to read. Travis's protective spirit was exactly what Bella needed. But I loved that he also gave her room to be strong on her own and make her own decisions. Especially after all she went through, he knew exactly what she needed to feel safe and loved.

Mandi has a beautiful way of entwining mystery, romance and faith into her novels. I cannot imagine a better portrayal of these two characters and their story. Also, can I just say, I am sooooo excited that Anna's story is next! I cannot wait to read it!

Wonderful addition to the Love in Blackwater series by Mandi Blake.
Sweet story of new possibilities after a difficult experience.
Isabella arrives in town with an older man that she feels she can trust, but after she leaves him she is struck down and left beside the road.
Travis is one of the paramedics that rescued her. When she comes to, she only remembers that she’s from Omaha and her and her parents names.
Travis has been hurt in the past so is reluctant to follow his heart.
Bella discovers something while on a follow up visit to her doctor that changes everything.
Chaos my abound but God is always in control!

Loved Travis and Bella's story!! Travis meets Bella after he responds to an emergency call of a woman hit by a car. Travis is drawn to Bella, especially after he learns she's lost her memory. As Travis and his friends show Bella friendship, caring, and support, she also learns about God. The more she learns about Travis and God, the more she learns that both are trustworthy. Now, when trouble comes to them, will Travis be able to save Bella, and will they be able to to believe that no matter what happens, God will bring good out of the bad? Love how they both lean on God and each other in the midst of all of the trouble.

I received a complimentary copy of this book, was not required to post a review, and the opinion expressed is my own.

Wow! Mandi Blake hit this one out of the park! What an amazing story of love, trust, and restoration! I love how the author keeps God in her stories. It is not overwhelming, but it is sprinkled throughout the book in such a wonderful way. God's love and care is evident in Travis and Bella's love and relationship. I just love the way Travis and Bella interact with each other as their relationship grows and as the story develops. This story showed a great friend group and community that rallied around Travis and Bella when they needed a helping hand. This was certainly a page-turner and kept me wanting to read late into the night.

I was so excited to read this next book set in Blackwater. I love that Travis finally gets his HEA but the path to that HEA? Yeowsa! The ups and downs and the intensity that ensues made it hard to put this book down and be a responsible adult. I really enjoyed Isabella & Travis’s story. I hope we get to learn more about them in future books. The burning question in my mind though, will we ever hear from or see Bill again?!

4.5 round to 5 stars

Love and Memories by Mandi Blake is book 4 in the Love in Blackwater series. Paramedic Travis is called to a hit and run where an unconscious woman’s life hangs in the balance. Later at the hospital, Isabella wakes up remembering only her name and the first part of her life. The last few years are a complete blank. So being found on the side of the road with no identification or belongings is question unanswered. Travis feels compelled to lend a helping hand to her as she recovers both physically and mentally. As Isabella heals and is embraced by Travis’s friends, feelings begin to develop between Isabella and Travis. But he has been hurt deeply in past relationship and she can’t remember if she has one. And then her memory returns and with it comes trouble.

I’m starting to wish Blackwater was a real place so I could live there and be a part of this special group of friends. One of the things that stood out to me was how enthusiastically the group of girlfriends embraced and welcomed Isabella into their circle. They knew nothing about her yet loved her unconditionally. The love they showered on Isabella was a beautiful example of living out the love of Christ.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC from the author. No positive review was required. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I thank God for writers like Mandi, who show the beauty and goodness of Jesus as well as a relationship founded in Him. If you love sweet Christian romances set in a small town with high stakes, this book is for you!

First, all I want to say is CHAPTER 18!!!!!!! Wow!! Mandi showed up and delivered with the plot twists in this book. I love how she always shows the rawness of humanity and everyday challenges in her stories. It makes the story + characters relatable!

Next, I loved the romance. The care and dedication shown between Travis and Bella was so sweet. (PSA: if you want quality, Christian romance books for your young daughters, please check out Mandi’s books!). Travis tenderly loved Bella while she showed her love through her dedication. ALSO the yearning in this book 🥹🤩🥰

Finally, I enjoyed the high stakes coupled with the faith themes that Mandi revealed. Absolutely heart wrenching and beautiful at the same time. Once again, I loved returning to Mandi’s Blackwater Ranch 💜 it was so good to be back 🤠

Happy reading,

Love and Memories is the fourth book in the Love in Blackwater Series, but you don’t have to read the first three to enjoy this well-written book by Mandi Blake. Mandi has written another great Christian romance, and I loved the suspense in Travis and Bella’s story. This is a quick, easy read that I was able to finish in one day. I enjoy books with the amnesia trope, which this book has due to a head injury. Highly recommend.

Remembering…

Isabella longs to remember the last five years so she can move on. But when those memories come back, so does the danger and guilt. Travis has been her anchor and isn’t going anywhere. Together they face their fears and danger as their faith in God and their love for each other grows.

I enjoyed the novel; it was dramatic and action-packed from the start. The plot flows well with suspense woven in to keep you turning pages. I received a complimentary copy and these are my voluntary and honest opinions. I was not required to leave a positive review.

This is my voluntary review of a copy I was given.

There was a lot of action and suspense, but it was paced in a way that was not anxiety-inducing. Travis was awesome. He's not scared away by any of the hard things that Bella goes through. Bella is sweet, innocent, and a lot stronger than she thinks she is.

I love the way the townspeople gather together to help with just a phone call.

I loved Bella and Travis's story of love and memories. Bella was running and then after a devastating accident, she is fighting for her life. Days later when she regains consciousness, she is told that she was hit by a car and left for dead. She can remember her name and where she is from but can't remember anything of the past five years of her life. When her memories start to return in bits and pieces, they are dark and scary and dangerous.

Travis is a paramedic in Blackwater and when he is called out to a tragic accident where a seriously injured woman is left for dead on the side of the road after a hit-and-run accident. He feels a connection to this woman and is protective of her and continues to stop by to check on her and wants to take care of her and protect her from anything that might hurt her. When danger finds them and there doesn't seem to be a way out, the things that matter most rise to the surface for Travis and he knows he will do whatever is required to protect Bella.

This is a wonderful story about the power of love and redemption. I couldn't put it down until I had read every single page. I have enjoyed every single one of this author's books but I have especially loved her Blackwater series and the wonderful characters in her stories.

Review:
Love Love these two lovebirds. Travis is just so sweetttt…. to Isabella and he is willing to risk his life to protect her and her baby (which she doesn’t know that she was pregnant worst she lost her memories). He even helps her in any way he can to make her feel welcome in Blackwater which is a new place for her. They slowly get to know each other and as the bonded the fell for each other. She is struggling to gain her memories back because she felt that she is a burden and she wants to stand on her two feet as soon as possible because she can’t be always relying on people but he told her to take one step at the time. Love that they pray for each other too and rely on God on everything. And also love that he lead her to God and also have self-control. (can’t spoil it) Her new found friend Anna was so helpful to her and let her stay in her place for a time being and bringing her around to get outfits and introducing to another attorney, Camille to help with finding her identity and also Camille had the same experience of lost memories so she understands her situation. I hope Anna will find her happily ever after she deserved better than the mean guy Dean. Anna is just so sweet and loving, and I would love to try her cooking. And love the people around Blackwater who is willing to help Isabella to find out about her and also help her regain her memories and also stood by her, trying to help her as much as they can and also protect her from dangerous situations. (can’t spoil it read then you will know). This story made me smile, laugh, swoon, cry, feel the warmth of the people around them, and also God’s protection and how God works in their life.

What I learned:
Everything leaves it to God. We are afraid at times and when that happens we will not know what to do but we are God’s children and no matter what God will protect us. Always remember to lean on him and He will give us the peace in our hearts. And though we are helpless He will not leave us he will always bring the people around to help you just like Travis, Anna, his friends and the people in Blackwater helped Isabella. God will never leave us no matter what.

I was gifted complimentary ARC. All opinions are my own. Thanks @mandi_blake_author for the ARC.

This is the 4th book of Love in Blackwater Series. Can’t wait for the 5th book it will be about Anna’s love story.

I loved Travis and Isabella’s story. It is filled with trust, faith, love and friendships. Isabella is on the run to Blackwater. Once she is dropped off she walks to her destination when she gets hit by a car. Travis is on shift as a paramedic and gets the call. He gets to the scene where he sees a beautiful blonde woman that’s about his age. For some reason Travis cannot get the woman out of his mind and goes and checks on her. Isabella doesn’t remember anything from the last 5 years but feels safe with Travis.

Travis is one of my favorite MMC from Mandi. He’s a total golden retriever type of person. Isabella is strong and determined. This is the 4th book of Love in Blackwater series.

I love this author & I really enjoyed this book! The beginning got me hooked and I couldn’t put it down. I did feel like the second half of the book lost a little spark for me. There were some deep subjects brushed and suggested that may be hard for some to read. It also left me with some questions. My favorite part is reading about the characters relationship with God. It uplifts me and I appreciate that from this author.

Ever lose a book you wanted to read and it wasn’t your fault? This book was put in the wrong stack by the sweet cleaning lady we have come deep clean the house a couple times a year and I just found it again. And it was so beautiful and wonderful to read. I’m ever so glad I discovered it because it’s not one you’ll want to miss reading either. Travis and Isabella have many things to contend with before they can let love in but watching them fall was just marvelous. Neither of them want to let go of the shields they put up but love pays no heed to this. As they work through Bella’s amnesia and its fallout, they find that they need the other more than ever before. And the faith they cling to becomes central to what their future might be. I can’t give spoilers because this book is just too good to ruin, but I really loved how everyone in the story supported and cared for both Travis and Bella. And that support made all the difference when things got tough. Definitely recommend you go get a copy ASAP so you can enjoy it too.

Talk about a book with all the feels! Like most Mandi Blake books, Love and Memories will take you on such a roller coaster ride where you will feel all the emotions while you are reading, but it's a ride you will ultimately end up enjoying. The journey may be tense, but the ending is always happy. And honestly, that's really all I can ask for. Give me all the happily ever afters! As always, Mandi does not disappoint in that department!

Bella's story starts off with such mystery as she is seen fleeing danger, and it just keeps going for most of the book. Without her memories, it feels like a race against the clock to figure out just what has been going on in her life. And as she starts to remember, her past has certainly not been an easy one but never fear. The lovely cinnamon roll that is Travis is totally here to show her how much better life can be and what it's like to be loved unconditionally. I love how sweet and gentle he is with her, but also how ready to jump into action he is later in the story. I just loved them so much.

Also, I know this was Travis and Bella's story, but I was so here for each and every mention of Gage and Hadley together! (You should read their story, Love in the Wild, if you haven't because it's seriously one of my fav books ever!). I can't wait to see more of these characters and get Anna's story next! She's been waiting for her chance at love and happiness for awhile!

I just love Mandi Blake's level of suspense and romance! She is fantastic at Christian fiction and blend suspense and romance together so well. I am always immediately drawn into the story and then I am hooked!

Travis and Isabella were so intriguing and I couldn't wait to watch their story unfold. All the twist and turns took me by complete surprise and their story definitely brought all the emotions. Travis and Isabella were adorable together and I loved his patience with her as she dealt with some serious stuff but he never wavered in his devotion to helping her. I really enjoyed the tension of their slow burn and how it all fell into place.

Loved the pacing and storyline of this one. Especially the Christian elements and redemption focus. So well-done! The suspense was also done so well and definitely kept me on my toes. So many emotions felt by reading this one!

I got sucked in with this one and didn't want to put it down. Blake has created such a wonderful world in Blackwater and I love seeing the reoccurring characters.

I always look forward to diving into a new title by Mandi Blake (one of my all time favorite authors), and Love and Memories definitely did not disappoint.

Mandi's writing and stories keep getting better and better with each book she releases, and this ended up being the type of story that I never wanted to put down. Definitely not a title for the faint of heart, Isabella and Travis' road to happily ever after is paved with lots of turmoil and hurts from the past, but also beautifully illustrates the hope that comes our way when we place our trust in Jesus.

Travis first meets Isabella when he responds to a call for a victim of a hit and run. He can't stop thinking about her, and wants to be there for as she navigates dealing with amnesia and not knowing who she is or why she's in Blackwater. Such a fantastic starting point for a story, and while I don't want to spoil anything, I will say that the story unravels in ways no reader could ever see coming, and this couple's romance is truly one with all the feels and full of so many swoon worthy moments. The story is heart wrenching, while also realistic, and one of my favorite parts of this series continues to be the way the town is such a close knit group who chooses to rally around anyone in need.

All in all, this was a wonderful story that I'm still thinking about days after finishing, and can't possibly recommend it enough. Mandi is truly one of the genre's best authors, and I love her big heart for Jesus, and how she uses her stories to tell others about His never ending grace.

However, before I conclude my review I do want to issue a content warning with this title. I've loved every single book Mandi Blake has ever written, and this one was no different. However, this title is quite a bit darker than anything she's written before, and includes some elements that might bother others so just be forewarned that it includes the following:

*Sexual Abuse, Sexual Assault, Physical Abuse, Emotional Manipulation*

That being said, the dark themes are never glorified, and every single situation is used as an illustration for Jesus and His healing grace. The title may be dark, but there's lots of Jesus to add the light, and that makes all the difference from darker titles where He's never present.

Final Rating: 5/5.

This story was everything I ever could have wanted, and I can't wait for the next book in the series! (Especially since I had guessed right about who the next couple is going to be and I'm going to have a hard time waiting for it's release!) I definitely recommend this one to anyone who enjoys Christian romance with a touch of suspense.

Thanks so much to Mandi Blake for allowing me to advance read and review this title!

I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary advance reader copy of this novel from the author as part of her ARC Team. I was not required to give a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own, and this is my honest review.

Impossible to put down!

After an accident, Isabella has no memories of most of her adult life so when the handsome EMT who rescued her from the side of the road offers to help, she is beyond grateful. But as Travis continues to show up for her and they get to know each other, she begins to hope for her future just as her past threatens to take it all away.

Travis can't explain his need to check on the woman he rescued but doesn't hesitate when he realizes she needs help. As he and his friends rally around her, he finds himself quickly falling for Isabella but when the trauma of her past becomes a very real danger, he is determined to protect her, no matter the cost.

What you'll love:
amnesia trope
dual pov
protective EMT
heroine with traumatic past
loyal friendships
crazy plot twists!
suspenseful scenes
swoony kisses
light Christian themes

Oh, Mandi Blake has done it again! Just when I thought I couldn't love this series more. This book was such an intense ride! I don't want to give any of the plot twists away because everyone deserves to have those jaw-dropping moments when they read so I'll just say this book hooked me from the very first and did not let up til the very end.

Travis and Isabella definitely had to fight - sometimes literally! - for their happily ever after and perhaps that made it even more sweeter. Every woman needs a man like Travis in their corner who knows when to support and let the woman stand up for herself and when the "I'll protect you at all costs" promise is needed. Loved that their initial attraction turned into such a wonderful emotional connection and I could not stop grinning at all their adorable moments together!

One thing I love about this series is the amazingly loyal, kind and welcoming group of friends that rallies around each other and even a complete stranger. Their behavior speaks more volumes to true Christian behavior than any sermon ever could and I am loving all of their stories though each book can be read as a standalone. The next book was set up perfectly and I am sooo excited to see Anna finally be with a man who deserves her! Cannot get enough of this amazing series!!

Mandi Blake delivers again with this heartfelt Christian romance.
Travis is book boyfriend goals. He was so incredibly good, he's almost too good to be true as Isabella would attest to. I loved that he was a paramedic and the way he served others. I particularly liked how he cared so much for Isabella and fell so hard. He just came across so genuine throughout the story and I really loved that he was a true hero.
Isabella's character was super intriguing. From the very start I felt invested in her safety and happiness. I was grateful when she got to heal and move forward and how Travis helped her with this along with all the secondary characters I have come to love so much (especially Anna who's book I am officially counting down to read). The dual POV and writing were fantastic and I really enjoyed how the Christian themes were woven in so naturally. It was inspiring.

Possible spoiler:
I want to note in this review that there is a trope in this story that is my absolute LEAST favorite trope ever. Like I groaned when the twist occurred and the trope was revealed because it's personally something I just struggle with in books for some reason. I share this because I was really impressed with how the author did incorporate this trope and I think her writing is top notch. It was hard to decide if this was a five star or four star read for me and it all came down to the fact that this trope is not my personal cup of tea. This is totally a five-star read; it just wasn't for me due to my own reactions to this trope. This may be a potential spoiler, but the trope is when the character is pregnant with the villain’s baby. She was raped and carrying the child. The rape is not described in any graphic detail, but for those sensitive to this type of event, I did want to share. I just personally struggle with this, but I will again say that Blake did a really good job being sensitive and loving in the way she wrote this and the baby was so loved. I also felt like the ending had a little bit more violence than usual and I think that with the rape parts made it hard for me personally to give it a solid five stars. I still recommend this book, just with that disclaimer in mind.

This is definitely my new favorite book by Mandi Blake and thus my favorite of the Love in Blackwater series so far!

I absolutely loved Travis and Bella, they were such wonderful characters and I was so invested in their love story and of course in Bella’s mysterious past.

The suspense part was done so well, I kept turning pages to find out what happened to Bella. This book was gripping and the danger palpable without gory scenes. Perfect if you need some mystery without having trouble falling asleep after closing your book!

The love between Travis and Bella blossomed so naturally. They were intrigued by and attracted to each other from the start, but they formed a friendship first and I loved their bond and connection. Travis always tried to do right by Bella and even after falling deeply in love with her, he never crosses a line since he can’t be sure if Bella has a husband or boyfriend and I loved how caring and considerate he was. Their love story is just the sweetest!

Bella has a wonderful faith arc. It’s not clear if she ever considered herself a Christian before, but how she is drawn to God, the love, trust, hope and forgiveness he offers is just beautiful.

I’m a big fan of the found family trope and Bella was accepted so easily and definitely found her home and family in Blackwater. Especially Anna became more than a friend to her, a sweet, kind, generous and caring sister in Christ who was an integral part of Bella’s story, of her healing and accepting Jesus.

It’s always sweet to meet characters again and Mandi’s books are no exception. But to be honest - I didn’t like Anna much in Love for a Lifetime and wasn’t too excited for her to get her own story.
But now I honestly can’t wait! I don’t know if other readers felt this way, but this book is sort of Anna’s redemption story for me or maybe I just got to know her better. But she is such a wonderful character who deserves her own HEA and I’m hoping for a swoony love story with lots of faith content and maybe a grumpy/sunshine pairing that will make me smile!

Highly recommend this book!

After being hit by a car, Isabella Young doesn't remember her name or anything else about herself, but the EMT who rescued her, Travis decides to visit her, and they become friends. After Travis introduces Bella to his friends, she decides to stay in blackwater until she can figure out her next move.

Love and Memories tackles some hard topics, but Mandi handles them perfectly, and it doesn't weigh the story down or overwhelm it. Travis and Bella are so sweet, and when I think of a word to describe both main characters, Bella is a survivor, and Travis is a protector. Love and Memories also sets up Love on the Run perfectly, which is Book 5 in the Love in Blackwater series, which I can't wait to read.

It is nice to catch up with everyone from blackwater again and see how much they have all grown (specifically Gage and Hadley), but Love and Memories is a fantastic story of hope in it's own right. Mandi craftfully weaves a story of hope and forgiveness into a wonderful love story.
