One unforgettable night. A surprise reunion. And a secret that could change everything.
I never thought I’d see him again.
It was just one reckless weekend with the gorgeous stranger at the bar. No last names. No complications. Just one perfect night in my tiny Iowa town.
Then he disappeared without a trace. No calls. No goodbyes. I made peace with it being one of those beautiful nights you just let go of.
Until two pink lines flip my world upside down.
The problem? I have no way to find him. I don’t even know his last name.
That is, until I’m at my parents’ house, breaking the news about my pregnancy… and the new head coach of the Chicago Stallions flashes across the TV screen—impeccable, bearded jawline and all.
Jackson freaking Knox was my one night stand.
The man who knocked me up is an NFL superstar coach. And he has no idea I exist.
So my best friend and I come up with a plan—get into a Stallions home game, find Jackson, and tell him he’s about to be a father. Easy, right?
Except nothing about this is easy. The last thing he needs is a scandal, and the last thing I want is to throw his life into chaos. He’s got a team to lead, a season to win, and a reputation to protect. Not to mention he travels nonstop, and I’m just a small town school teacher.
But when we come face to face again, the sparks are just as electric as that night. And suddenly, telling him isn’t the scariest part.
Falling for him all over again is.
The Coach is a steamy, emotional romance about unexpected second chances, a surprise baby, and the messy, beautiful chaos of falling in love. HEA guaranteed.
Preorder set for March, with the possibility of an early release
Hi, there! My name is Mickey Miller and I write sexy, fun romance with smart characters. My books are great if you're looking for a light-hearted, steamy read with some humor and a happy ending! Happy reading!
Cuor mio, respira.
Altre no. Come i loro sentimenti.
Cosa posso dirvi senza farvi spoiler?
This book is a total page-turner! A surprise pregnancy and a sizzling NFL coach? Yes, please! The chemistry between the two is electric, and the steamy moments had me blushing. The MMC is tough, hot, and totally swoon-worthy, while the FMC holds her own in all the right ways. It’s a perfect mix of passion, spice, and tenderness. If you’re looking for a steamy romance with tons of heat and heart, this is it. I couldn’t put it down! Highly recommend!
Jackson Knox - Is a coach who's a very smexy guy who is a true gentleman but a freek in the sheets
Ivy Bennett - our emerald girl is such a shy teacher in her small town - it doesn't take long before the 'true' Ivy is revealed!
How much smexy hotness can be packed into 1 book? Well to answer that you really need to read this book as it is incredible
Accidental meet cute in a bar - he's wearing a tux and she's wearing a gorgeous green dress.
Ivy is shy and has no idea what to say to Jackson. As a result she tends to over share! Part of this means showing and describing her dream house. Instead of running for the hills Jackson just says....
'seems like a great place. Maybe there’s a basement in there for a s€x dungeon.'
When Ivy discovered that she was pregnant she believes that Jackson hadn't contacted her because he was ghosting her.
When Ivy went to break the news to her parents.... Let's just say she couldn't imagine their reaction.
Ivy had to get hold of Jackson to tell him the news so she rocked up to one of his games and caused havoc to try and see him.
It doesn't matter if they're sending messages, speaking on the phone or meeting up this pair are so hot!
When Jackson says this you can't help BUT swoon!........
“Baby, I’ll build you a f***ing castle medieval if you want me to.”
This book is more than a 5 ⭐ review I can re-read this book over and over as it is really well written because you feel like you are there with these characters.
3.5 stars! Possible spoilers ahead. It was a really sweet, spicy book. The H wasn’t a playboy. h was mature and she didn’t do silly stuff like not communicating. There was no 3rd act breakup
There is a surprising amount of spice in this book. I read a lot of dark romance so compared to those- the spice was vanilla’ish. 🙃 Some spanking and light bondage.
The plot was simple- h meets H and they have a ONS. She gives him her phone number and he puts it in his wallet. His wallet is stolen. He does make attempts to find her. He only knew her by her nickname “Ivy” but her real name is Yvette.
4 months later she’s at her parents house to tell them she’s pregnant. She sees his face on tv. H is the new coach for the NFL football team. h and her friend go to the stadium to tell him. He’s shocked but he’s all in.
Most of the drama is just h coming to grips with H being famous and all the attention that gets. H is a really great guy, though.
h does have an ex who stalks her. It’s mild because in the end he apologizes to H and h and tells them he was the one who tipped off the reporters. He tells them he’s moving. It’s resolved
H’s team makes it to the Super Bowl and H leaves at halftime because h went into labor.
There are a couple of epilogues. One is 60 years in the future which I thought was a little strange but it ended up being cute.
Ivy is from a small town in Iowa. She is a teacher who is usually strait laced and doesn’t do anything that might be consider careless. That was until she met a stranger in a bar and spent one reckless weekend with him. No last names were exchanged. He disappeared, no calls, no goodbyes. He basically ghosted her. She made peace with this until she saw two pink lines. When she went to tell her parents that she was pregnant and the father of the baby was not in the picture and there was no way to find him. The new head coach of the Chicago Stallions flashes in the TV and her jaw dropped when she realizes that the new coach to the local NFL team is her one night stand. The man that knocked her up is none other than Jackson Knox. Ivy and her friend came up with a plan and that was find Jackson and tell him he is about to be a dad. Nothing is easy as it seems. He travels all the time, he has to prove himself to not only to the team’s management but to the players and fans. Ivy is no one compared to him just a woman living in a simple life in a small town outside the city. This book has more spice than anything else Mickey has written. And Coach Knox has a dirty mouth. I devoured this book. I could not put it down.
I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.
I'm so excited to read another novel by Mickey Miller and really loved this story and characters! This book sits differently with me because the town I live in gets mentioned over and over again, which I loved. Made it more real for me.
Ivy is so strong and honest. She found herself in a tight position and, with help from her friend Lauren, was able to reconnect with Jackson to start the most amazing adventure in her life.
Jackson also showed that adults can make changes and sacrifices when they realize their whole world has come into their lives. Becoming a famous coach should have made his life perfect but he realized he was missing a key part to make him happy. Once he found her, he wasn't going to stop until he had it all.
I loved how these characters worked together and eventually had discussions on what to do with their unexpected news. It shows that things can be adjusted if the love is strong enough. And that distance doesn't have to stop good things from happening.
I'm so glad I got the chance to read this novel! Looking forward to more!
This sports romance offers a unique twist with some captivating tropes, including an accidental pregnancy and an age-gap dynamic between a famous NFL coach and a small-town teacher from Riverbend, Iowa. Ivy and Jackson share a passionate night after meeting in a bar, but when Jackson loses her number on the train ride back to Chicago, four months pass with Ivy believing she's been ghosted. That is, until she discovers she's pregnant with Jackson's baby and has no way to contact him. Then, by sheer coincidence, while watching a Stallions game on TV, Ivy spots none other than Jackson Knox—the new head coach of the Stallions—and the father of her child. What follows is a second chance at exploring what might have been, questioning if their night together was just an unforgettable fling or the start of something more. There’s no denying the chemistry between them—it’s sizzling hot! Jackson is the ultimate alpha, and their connection is undeniable. This one is full of spice and passion, making for another thrilling, steamy read.
Ummm…Yes Coach! Whoa! This one is super steamy and I will absolutely fall in line for Coach Jackson!
Mickeys books have quickly become my favorites to pull me out of book slumps! They are great steamy, fun, heartwarming, swoon worthy reads!
And The Coach is no exception! If there is one thing I can’t get enough of in a book it’s banter and I loved Ivy and Jackson’s banter! They have amazing chemistry! And Jackson’s mouth! I’m still panting! Yes Coach!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Mickey can write really great spice!
I loved all the characters in this book, even the smug Kara! I could just picture the smirk on her face in all her scenes asking the big questions. All the characters were really supportive of each other and played off each other well making the story that much better. You want to get to know about all of them.
I really enjoyed this one and can’t wait for more from Mickey! Thank you so much for the ARC Mickey!
I was so lucky to get my hands on an ARC of The Coach by Mickey Miller, and let me just say… WOW. Jackson and Ivy completely stole my heart, and I was hooked from the very first page! The flirty banter? Perfection. The sexual tension? Off the charts! And the spice? Ohhhh, it kicks in early, so buckle up because Mickey does not hold back!
Jackson is everything I love in a book boyfriend — dominant, dirty-talking, and absolutely irresistible. Seriously, I could not get enough of him! Mickey absolutely nailed the dual POV, and I felt so connected to both Jackson and Ivy. Watching their romance blossom, along with the family dynamics and all the emotions that came with it, had me swooning HARD.
And can we talk about those TWO epilogues and the bonus scene?! I was not ready, and I am still grinning like a fool.
If you love forbidden romance, age gaps, forced proximity, AND accidental pregnancy (yes, this book gives you everything), then you need to read The Coach! Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I received an ARC copy of The Coach by Mickey Miller, and I swear, I fall harder for each character this man writes. I already knew I was going to love Jackson based on the previous two books in this series, and wow—he did not disappoint. His vibe, his personality, his BDE—just saying!
And Ivy? She’s probably my favorite FMC of the series. I loved seeing her journey from small-town teacher to the coach’s girlfriend, all while staying true to herself despite the cameras and attention. She never lost who she was, and that made me love her even more.
One thing I’ve noticed with every book Mickey writes is how much I love reading the MMC’s POV. He does such a great job making you feel like you’re in the guy’s head, and every single time, I fall for them. The chemistry between Jackson and Ivy was perfect—natural, electric, and so much fun to watch unfold.
This book is 100% worth the read, and if you love a well-written, steamy, and heartwarming sports romance, The Coach is a must!
This was sooooo good. I didn't even want to go to bed when I should have. The spice was spicy. The love and first glance between the MCs was electric. I just can't.
You added real life scenarios into a beautiful set of love unfolding. The distance, the wanting to just forget the world and responsibilities that ties us down to the ground. The love that unravels and gives us wings so we can fly. Jackson and Ivy deserved this. Each person reading this deserved to devour it. The balance between hot and steamy and romance and simple gestures. The just wanting of being in someone's presence is so... relating.
And the ending... when I read, "60 years later" immediate tears. Because who doesn't want to find someone to spend the rest of their life with? Who still heats up and feels tension when you walk into a room. You still devour each other and its never ending.
Tropes: • Age gap • surprise pregnancy • "celebrity" & non celeb • mild stalking
This was something a little different from others that I've read by this author, but nonetheless, it was written beautifully. Jackson and Ivy have such a sweet story, even if it doesn't fit the "normal" chain of events that a "typical" romance would.
The struggles that they face are to be expected given the different lives that they lead, and the way that they approach those challenges feels very natural. Jackson gives off all the protective, gentleman vibes... but lord does he have a dirty mouth! -fans self- And Ivy has such a good head on her shoulders! She has her passions and her life and I thoroughly enjoyed how well rounded she was.
I really liked that this was different from the usual sports romance. Ivy is a fourth grade teacher in her small hometown. When she decides to skip the fundraiser and go to the bar with her friend instead she meets Jackson. They spend the night together, but Jackson has to leave the next day. He ask for her number. Ivy never ends up hearing from Jackson. When she finds out she’s pregnant there’s no way to get ahold of him when she doesn’t even know his last name. Until her step father is watching the new nfl coach on tv and Ivy looks over to see the father of her baby. I loved that the story was about a coach and not a player. And I liked both Ivy and Jackson. This was an enjoyable and entertaining read!
What a story written for Ivy & Jackson! A steamy one night stand has the potential to change two lives forever. Jackson is an NFL head coach, while Ivy is an elementary school teacher. I enjoyed watching them navigate the so called "scandal" of their personal lives. I absolutely loved the back & forth between these two characters, their chemistry was so freakin' HOT! The secondary characters in this story were hilarious & kept me laughing throughout, especially her bff Lauren! I have really enjoyed this series & was hoping to get a glimpse of Asher, Sloane, Griffin & Avery again, we did get to see Cassie though & i sure hope she gets her story soon! As I said, this story was HOT & so super spicy, that Jackson is a bossy alpha! Enjoy!
Ivy is a school teacher in a small town in Iowa. She meets Jackson and the chemistry is very hot. They have a glorious one night stand. When Ivy finds out that she is pregnant she doesn’t know what to do because she has no last name to contact Jackson. She sees on the news about the new head coach for the for the Chicago Stallions and it is none other than Jackson. Ivy debates on going to a game and telling him but she doesn’t want to cause any problems. Will Jackson and Ivy meet up again and will their chemistry be the same? How will Jackson react to having a child? Will Jackson and Ivy find love and happiness? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I loved Ivy and Jackson. These two were fantastic. One night, first names an amazing night together and morning with each other before Jackson gets back to his life in Chicago. Grabs her number with every intention to call, but life happens and this is where their relationship begins. The spark and chemistry with these two were incredible. The trust issues that Ivy has is understandable and we all know what’s a love story without a few hiccups here and there. Ivy has a secret and when she finally figures out who Jackson really is, her life and his is about to change. Being from Michigan myself and reading the mention of El Charro where Ivy met Lauren for dinner, I chuckled a bit. I love that restaurant!! Great read!!
I absolutely 💯% ♥️ this new release from Mickey Miller. I read the Backup 1st, Asher Knox, then the Rookie, 2nd Griffin Knox ... both amazing love stories. Loved the family dynamics. Then came the Coach about Jackson Know and Ivy small town teacher falling for the head coach of Chicago. What a beautiful love story. I haven't read a true love story like this in a very long time. The way Mickey describes their affection and love to each other their journey together making their little family together. IT WAS SPECTACULAR, AMAZING BEAUTIFUL!!! SO MUCH LOVE!!!
THE COACH!!! A BOOK EVERY BOOK LOVER SHOULD READ MORE THEN ONCE.
Highlights: 🩷One Night Stand 🩷Accidental Pregnancy 🩷NFL Coach MMC 🩷Small Town Teacher FMC 🩷Age Gap 🩷Second Chances
Thoughts: Jackson is a funny dominant older man and Ivy is a sweet sunshiny small town girl. This one is quite a Steamy read, with so much emotion and sizzling chemistry between the two. I loved the contrast of them showing each other their worlds as they carved out weekends and fell in love.
🛑I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Mickey Miller is one of my favorite Authors, he can write heartwarming and emotional romance but his skill to write spicy romance is over the top!
Coach had me fanning myself more times that I have in a long while. That's not all it was though. I'm not normally a surprise pregnancy romance fan but Mickey wrote Jackson & Ivy's story with a bit of everything you'd expect but the emotions he brought out in me with this spicy surprise pregnancy romance surprised me. I loved their growth and banter. It's a must-read especially if your love the surprise pregnancy trope and if you don't youll still fall in love with Jackson & Ivy' love story.
Ivy is a small town school teacher and she meets Jackson at a bar and has one amazing weekend with him then he ghost her or so she thinks. Jackson looses his wallet and has no way of reaching Ivy, he even goes back to the small town but no one seems to know her. Then she’s barging into his office at the stadium and dropping a bombshell. How does the NFL coach react? This book was once again amazing and Mickeys books just seem to keep getting better and better, hotter and hotter!! Wish I could give it more then 5 stars
This book was hot! 🥵 I don’t usually read surprise pregnancy tropes, but this was written in a way that it didn’t give me the ick. I thought there was great tension in the book, especially leading up to Ivy telling Jackson about the pregnancy. I really fell in love with Jackson and I also found Ivy to be a likable character. Often times in pregnancy tropes and famous people tropes, the female comes off as whiney and always running away thinking the person could never love them, so I was happy Ivy was not written that way. I thought bringing the ending back to the bench was very sweet.
I loved this book! Jackson and Ivy’s story was fantastic! What started out as an amazing weekend turned into so much more! After spending a great weekend together they lose contact. Then Ivy found out she’s pregnant and had to find Jackson. It was a shock to see him on tv as the coach of the Chicago Stallions. The journey that Ivy and Jackson took toward their relationship was very entertaining! I loved it! They had an incredible connection and hot chemistry! Mickey has outdone himself with The Coach! I can’t wait to see what Mickey gives us next!
This is another great read from Mickey Miller. When an author is able to embody and bring to life the relationship ideas of You just know, & If he wanted to he would. Sprinkling in some amazing spice, a lil angst and a few other surprises! You have a recipe for an excellent read, I couldn’t put it down. & I can totally picture myself re-reading this one somewhere tropical while sipping on a cocktail. The Coach is the cherry 🍒 on top of the Knox sundae that is so worth every minute.
Overall.. I really enjoyed this book. And I loved these characters. It was funny and sweet and romantic. But there were some things that just bothered me. And it could have been a me thing, but she’s pregnant. (This isn’t a spoiler, as it’s mentioned in the blurb) But, she never mentions any symptoms, (lucky her) and she never mentions doctors appointments. When most books with this trope will do.
But like I said that is probably just a me thing. I did really enjoy the book, and would recommend it.
I love Mickey Miller, I’ve read all of his books. The Coach left me a bit puzzled… Why was Jackson in Riverbend the night he met Ivy…if that fact was ever revealed I missed it. I kept thinking the answer would be revealed at some point, but never was. Did the stallions win the Super Bowl? That said, the story was highly entertaining. The chemistry between Jackson and Ivy is smoking hot. Hopefully someone will comment on this review, if they know the answer to these burning questions I’m left with.
The Coach is honestly one of my favorite novels by this writer. An NFL coach and a small town teacher have a chance encounter that changes their lives. Our mmc Jackson is so likeable, and the banter he has with fmc Ivy is everything. Their chemistry sparks off the pages.
There is a slight age gap between them, and this is an accidental pregnancy focused story, and although this is not everyone's favorite trope, this story was written in a very satisfying way.
