Sawyer
I was ruined for anyone else from the moment Ivy walked into my life. Six years of loving each
other and then she was gone, taking my heart with her. It’s been ten years since she left and no
amount of time apart could change the way I feel about her. The control she still has over me is a
constant reminder of the hollow space she left in my chest when she ran away.

Now she’s back, her life in tatters and hiding from her possessive ex-boyfriend. She’s hurting,
and I’ll do anything to take the pain away. Even if that means I have to let her go again.

I want Ivy back in my life, but I don’t know if she feels the same. Regardless, I will do anything
to prove we belong together.

But I can’t help but wonder, will she run again?

Ivy
I’ve been surviving in a life that I was manipulated into living. A life I never wanted for myself.
Now I’m unemployed, homeless, and lost.

As everything crumbles around me, I’m forced to run back to the last place I truly felt safe.
Aspen Ridge.

For ten years, I never looked back. Until now.

I planned to stay under the radar, but everything falls apart when the only man I’ve ever loved
finds me, reminding me how it feels to be loved, wanted, and protected.

For the first time in a decade, hope for my future fills me.
But I can’t help but wonder, can I really just stay and pick up where we left off?

WOW WOW WOW WOW !!! THE SMALL TOWN ROMANTIC SUSPENSE OF IT ALL WAS INCREDIBLE !

I read this book in one day because I could not put it down ! Listen if you are a fan of Devney Perry’s small town romantic suspense - then you need to RUN and read this book immediately . Sawyer is a man obsessed with Ivy .. I mean he literally, and I mean literally, dropped everything to run to her when she came home . He is so freaking down bad for Ivy that he will stop at nothing to make sure that she is safe from the guy that has been following her every move . OH and he has breeding kink ! YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK ! I cannot wait for book two in this series !

This is book one in the Aspen Ridge series and it can be read as a complete stand alone .

This was as far as I could get in the book, I know it was pretty far in but I could not finish 😭.

The imagine me surprise when I come on here and see 4-5 ⭐ reviews. Like are we reading the same book 🤔. My neck hurts from all the cringing that I have been doing while reading this book. There were many things that put me off this book.

Firstly, why do the female leads in books have to be pathetic. Abusive boyfriend and a pitiful career. And she is not like other girls, she prefers to stay in rather than go out and she is a textbook introvert. Like give me a break, and be so for real😂 .And also how are you going to get mad at your ex boyfriend WHO YOU LEFT WITHOUT EVEN SAYING GOODBYE for sleeping with other women but not progressing because he was hung up on you when you just GOT OUT OF A WHOLE ASS RELATIONSHIP. How are your going to just switch up your whole personality form nonchalant queen who don't need not man to being completely helpless after seeing your childhood love or whatever.

Sawyer where your standards? So you value yourself so little that you just let this girl who ripped your heart out and gave you not explanation. Made you depressed to the point where you cannot get out of bed (that's crazy tho, could never be me 😂). And you just let her walk back into your life and forgive after just a couple of tears and she is living in your house. This damsel in distress thing has just been done. if me should grovel then so should women. Sawyer deserves better,he knows how to treat a women right and should with someone who always choses him and not just out of circumstance and desperation.

After I read Reid's chapter I thought this was going to be a why choose... But it is not. So why the hell is his Pov in the book it is useless and just confusing. This book also needed full chapter flash backs and not thingy snippets. For such a long book there was such a little character development.

One thing I liked was Brookes Pov it was interesting and different. And for debut novel this was okay, still terrible but okay all things considered.

Unravel Me by Jenn Plummer
4/5⭐
3,5/5🌶️

This is the first book in the Aspen Ridge series, and it’s my first read from this author. I’ve always been a fan of small-town romances, and this one delivered. Ivy and Sawyer were childhood sweethearts. Sawyer fell hard for Ivy when he first saw her at 12, and from then on, their friendship blossomed into something more. But when Ivy just up and left town at 18, it broke Sawyer's heart. Fast forward a few years, and Ivy comes back home after getting cheated on by her boyfriend and losing her job as a sous chef. She wants to sell her parents’ house and hit the road again, but Sawyer has other plans now that he knows she’s back. He’s hell-bent on winning her over.

When Ivy returns and sees Sawyer again after a decade, I expected him to be mad, but he completely surprised me. Instead of anger, he was determined to make Ivy stay. He could see she wasn’t happy and wanted to bring back her spark and smile. That’s when I started to love him. Throughout the book, he’s super protective and understanding. He tries to show her that home is with him and that he’ll always love her while also giving her the freedom to pursue her dreams.

Ivy is a strong, smart, and independent woman, but she has some scars from her parents’ influence. She left her hometown thinking that if she stayed, she’d live a hollow life like her mom, missing out on what the world has to offer. Even though she went to her dream college and landed a job she loves, she’s still not truly happy because her heart is back in that small town. I admire her character growth in this book. She fights back against her insecurities and is determined to live life on her own terms.

This book is packed with swoon-worthy moments, pining, spice, and heartwarming scenes. The chemistry between Sawyer and Ivy is off the charts, and I love the flashbacks from when they were younger. Watching them figure out their relationship together is such a joy. This is an awesome start to Jenn Plummer's series, and I’m looking forward to diving into the rest of the books. If you’re into small-town romance, found family vibes, second chances with spice, and some suspense, you’ll want to check this one out.

I also found out that I've been accepted into Jenn Plummer's permanent ARC Team. It was such a great news and I'm so excited to start the journey.

I read this book in preparation for the Love Me arc that I received. I'm so happy that I did. I loved this book and getting to know all of the characters. This was so much more than a romance. I definitely recommend. I'm off to read Crave Me asap because I have a feeling Dallas is going to be everything 🙌

This book screams slight Catherine Cowles vibes but make it spicier. Also to add, I should start with this is a DEBUT novel, and what an amazing debut it was.

This is book one in the Aspen Ridge series and our couple is Ivy Turner & Sawyer Hayes.

They were childhood sweethearts and just when Ivy & Sawyer were solidifying plans for college, Ivy ups and disappears without so much as an explanation.

Years later Ivy is struggling with many things, and her only option has her retreating back to Aspen Ridge. She returns to the empty home she inherited of her deceased parents, to clean it up, sell, and move forward with her life. This house holds nothing but negative memories for her, and last thing she wants is the locals knowing she's home, particularly, one man.

Sawyer finds out immediately, but instead of being angry at her he confronts Ivy about their past, solely to move forward with the goal of a future with her. Except there is a part of her life that follows her back the quiet small town risking her second chance with Sawyer.

Their story, the chemistry, the SPICE, the family banter, and the added stalker vibes were all absolute perfection. Well done Jenn on a banger of a debut and I cannot wait to continue this series

Thank you Luna Literary Management and Jenn for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I am an avid reader and I don’t typically read an authors first debut book but I am so happy I did! This is my second ARC and so thankful to have been chosen to get it.
From the beginning I was hooked and couldn’t put it down. The details of the area the story takes place had me imagining I was there. The details of the very yummy sexy scenes had me wishing I was!
I love a strong MMC and Sawyer has my heart!
The characters, the town, the distillery and mostly the family has me impatiently waiting for more!

Thank you Jenn Plummer!

What an emotiona 😭l profound second chance love story of Ivy and Sawyer. Their love for each other was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful and everlasting, making them the truest form of soulmates. 💛😍

I think I’m obsessed with Sawyer. No, I know I am. He was absolutely amazing!!! 😍❤️🥵 Just the way he loved Ivy, never holding her back and truly allowing her to decide for herself, what she wants for herself without any influence. The way the author weaved ‘past moments’ throughout, to see the full emotional journey Sawyer lived through with Ivy leaving without a trace, and the journey over the past ten years was incredible. Truly enhancing the emotional experience. Only drove my love for Sawyer that much more. Then theres the gray sweatpants and him riding a motorcycle, which was just a bonus.😉🥵🥵 IYKYK

The way Ivy took back her life making it her own life and not the life of her mothers choosing, showed such character depth and growth. How she fought back her emotional and physical demons on her own, showing her full potential and strength. She was always capable of it, but it was Sawyer that helped show her, she was capable through his undying love. 🫶🏻❤️

As I sit here after completing this story, I am taken back a bit that this was Jenn’s debut nobel. It was so beautiful, addicting , intense, but also just such a heartwarming story of two people that couldn't be more perfect for each other than Sawyer and Ivy, leaving me utterly speechless.

This story made my second chance romance heart so happy!!

🥃 second chance romance
🥃 small town
🥃 suspense
🥃 stalker
🥃 FMC returns to hometown
🥃 jealous & possessive MMC

📖: Ivy leaves her small hometown of Aspen Ridge due to meddling by her mom. When she loses her job thanks to her sh!t turd ex, she decides to go back home and sell her parents house to build a nest egg and start over. When she is confronted by her former flame, Sawyer, she realizes she never moved on and questions why she left in the first place.

First of all, this was an incredible debut novel from Jenn Plummer. I loved her writing. The banter, the spice, the swooning and emotional maturity of the characters when they’re adults were amazing. I was blown away!! I also loved that she had multiple POVs, including a couple of the side characters!

Sawyer and Ivy’s story was so beautiful. I loved the glimpses into their past, the callbacks, the ways they held on to each other in the time they were apart. And can we talk about the fact that sawyer SPED IN HIS MOTORCYCLE to get to her immediately after he found out she was back in town??? 😭 amazing. Just amazing.

This was a perfect first book of a series and I cannot wait to continue on!

📕 Book Review 📕
The first thing I will say is: this was a debut novel? 👏🏻
This was the most quickly I’ve been enveloped in a story in a long time and I felt absolute rage when I needed to adult and had to put it down. The way Jenn Plummer writes is like a friend telling me a story that I really want to hear. Sawyer (MMC) and Ivy (FMC) are relationship communication and intimacy goals (once they reconnect that is) and I so love a man obsessed. I mean…a man who diddles himself in the shower while imagining diddling her? Yes. Please.

This had so much spice and my absolute favorite microtrope (more than once), some suspense, a delightful troop of side characters, found family and really sweet and tender moments.

👋 Therapist take: Make no mistake, this was a heavy read in its discussion of complicated grief, disenfranchised grief (loss of time, what we should have/could have had) and learning about things now with 20/20 hindsight which can be oh so distressing. Mind the TWs as there is violence on page.
Second chance romance will always have my heart and this one is no exception. I find it oh so comforting when characters on page seem relatable and exquisitely flawed. I so enjoyed the vulnerability of both MMC and FMC and how their reunion healed the hurt that so much unfair stuff had caused. The most poignant part of this story for me had to do with forgiveness of the people who did what they could with what they had, and then having the ability to forgive ourselves too.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

I wanted to love this but it wasn’t for me. This isn’t to say others won’t love it so if you’ve been interested definitely give it a try.

The pacing of the story really didn’t make sense to me. Ivy returns to Aspen Ridge having left without a word 10 years prior. I understand her & Sawyer were “soulmates” however, there was very little conversation about anything that went on for those 10 years before they are literally all over each other again. It just didn’t feel like a natural progression of them finding themselves again and re-building their relationship. Personally, I think Sawyer deserved more. The miscommunication that lead to this was meh - how does someone really just drop off the face of the earth overnight? And then literally stays gone for 10 years. Everything felt over the top cheesy & dramatic instead of happening naturally? Idk maybe it’s a me problem. Too perfect is not my jam.

Also, the suspense is in the last maybe 15%, not woven throughout the book so I don’t necessarily think id classify it as romantic suspense but rather has an element of suspense.

The family dynamics were fun- I love a small town family with a bunch of siblings that are in each other’s business all the time. The other siblings stories have me curious and I was very intrigued by Reid’s character. I may give those a go down the line.

SOLID 5 stars for me on Unravel me.
My gosh, I ate this book up- less than 24 hours. It is un-put-downable. Sawyer and Ivy are everything and the little breadcrumbs we got for other potential books in this series?!? I would sell a kidney to have my hands on book 2 asap.

This book is a second chance, romantic suspense with reaaaallly good spice. (for my breeding girlies lol) I love how Jenn gave us a few chapters from side characters POVs- I always think this adds a unique element to books and it was done so well!

The way Sawyer loved Ivy was something so special. Literally allll he wanted was for Ivy to feel safe and happy with him. I melted into a puddle 100 times throughout this book. He talked her down from a few panic attacks and those moment were some of my favorite parts of my book.

If youre looking for an addicting romantic suspense with a man who is down BAD for the one girl he has always loved, seriously run to read this book.

If you like these tropes, this book is for you!

3.75? Okay I don’t usually do that as a rating but this isn’t a true and full 4, but also I absolutely do want to continue the series. I really like the family aspect and can already see where each bother and sister will get a story. I kinda thought it was supposed to be suspense, but I saw everything coming. The miscommunication/reason this became a second chance was not my favorite, and I’m hoping the writing itself becomes stronger as the series continues.

4.5 enthusiastic stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

Ya’ll…this is a DEBUT NOVEL. I am shooketh.

In the fine tradition of incredible romantic suspense authors like Catherine Cowles, Devney Perry and Samantha Young, Jenn Plummer has come at us with what I have to describe as a nearly perfect story of second chances, soulmates, love, loss and forgiveness — with a big ol side of stalking.

The entire time I was reading this, I kept thinking how incredible it is that this is Jenn’s first book. The entire narrative is so full of depth, sweet nuances, impeccable pacing and character development that I couldn’t stop reading.

It’s heartbreaking. And heart squeezing. And swooney. And infuriating.

It’s also so rich — in character banter (family texting for the win!), in spice (like, wowza), in very apparent love between our main characters even after 10 years apart, and in the immense importance of family - real and found.

🩷 Second chance romance
🩷 Childhood friends to lovers
🩷 Healing journey
🩷 Small town
🩷 Found and real family
🩷 No 3rd act breakup (hallelujah!)

I loved this book so much. I loved our main characters, Sawyer and Ivy. I loved every side character (besides the psychotic stalker). I loved that this story makes me want more from Jenn asap!

Endless congrats to her on this truly remarkable debut. And thanks to she and Luna Literary Mgmt for this ARC opportunity!

Ok, well, this was a really good book! I am officially hooked. This family already has my heart. I am looking forward to the rest of the series. Sawyer and Ivy, childhood sweethearts, get a second chance when she has to come home to hide out from her psycho douche ex and to sell her parents' house. As soon as they finally saw each other, it was like they were magnetic. The spice was HIGH in this story! 🥵🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 but when her ex decides he wants to take back what's his, he shows up in town, and now it's time for Ivy to fight back with the help of her loved ones, of course. Sawyer is definitely that alpha protective hero that is one of the "good ones." Ivy, who struggled with panic attacks and anxiety since she left Aspen Ridge, comes home and finds her peace and bravery with Sawyers love and support. 10/10 recommend this book

Ivy and Sawyer were given a second chance when Ivy comes back to town after being completely betrayed by her ex boyfriend. I was invested in this story from the get go and never really lost interest in these two.

Sawyer was so damn protective over Ivy and everyone that he loves. When she comes back into town and is being threatened by her ex nonstop, Sawyer goes into protective mode and damn, is it hawt. Seeing these two get a second chance was so amazing and don't let the first 50-60% of this fool you.. these two are hot. And they are not afraid to show it.

I started off really enjoying this book but I found myself skimming through the back half ready for it to be over. I also found it soooo odd that the FMC and MMC’s best friend had so much chemistry and the best friend had “feelings” despite the fact that he knew her for five minutes lol. I liked getting the perspective of all of the characters, it’s something you don’t see often in books. But unfortunately the plot fell flat for me.

I really don’t get the high rating. God awful writing and an incredibly unconvincing plot.

Plus sawyer is almost as mad/bad/cringe inducing as brooks. Ivy is also such a flat character. Barely made it half way and then started to skim. No thanks.

UNRAVEL ME was an easy read and I loved the found family aspects but after the first few chapters I started to struggle with the MCs dynamic. Sawyer and Ivy were childhood friends turned high school sweethearts until Ivy disappeared right after graduation and broke Sawyer's heart. 10 years later and Ivy is back in town and Sawyer is all in on getting her to stay. I get that they never stopped loving each other but things were too easy between them considering Sawyer went into a deep depression after Ivy left the first time.

And I like a man obsessed with his woman but Sawyer was too much. I know this is fictional but if this were a man in real life he'd be throwing up so many red flags for codependency. And what was up with Ivy lusting after Reid the first time she meets him. That scene was so awkward and weird; this wasn't a love triangle so why did we need that moment?

On the positive side the spice was spicing and I loved Zoe, she was the perfect ride-or-die friend for Ivy. The small town of Aspen Ridge was well described and I felt like I was really there. The writing was smooth and Plummer definitely has talent so if you love a dramatic romance with an over the top MMC then this might work better for you.

Content Warning: stalking and attempted sexual assault (not the MMC); on page panic attacks

Wow. My girl Jenn. This was a debut novel??? I am literally in shock. This book was so different in so many delicious and excellent ways. I didn’t ever want it to end.

Ivy ran away from her small town, her boyfriend Sawyer, and her life there years ago. Spurred on by a tumultuous relationship with her parents and a general distrust brought on by years of seeing her mother’s unhappiness and how it completely changed her as a person and their lives as a whole. After losing her parents and breaking up with her sh*t stain ex she decides to brave the heart ache and return to Aspen Ridge. While Ivy tried to break out and make something for herself she always felt like there was always something missing.

Sawyer, on the other hand, knew exactly what was missing. And it was Ivy. Now a successful CEO of the family business, Sawyer has always held a torch for “the one who got away”. The very millisecond he hears that she has returned to their hometown this man fired up his MOTORCYCLE (HOT 🥵) and broke every GD speed limit to just see her again. Once these two come face to face for the first time in 10 years the dam breaks and all the feelings resurface in such a real and raw way.

I absolutely ate up Sawyer and Ivy’s story. I’m not usually a huge second chance romance person but this was so believable and real. I felt both of their pain, their honesty, their connection. The communication that was lacking back when they were teenagers was no where to be seen and I WAS HERE FOR IT!!!! Seeing both of these people who were broken apart come back together so beautifully pulled on every single one of my heartstrings. And the romantic suspense aspect lingering in the back ground? Getting the villains POV?????
This book was so unique an so special and I loved every single second of it.

Five phenomenal and well earned stars Jenn. I cannot wait to see whats coming next in Aspen Ridge. I only know these stories are going to go up from here and the hints at future couples/ books have me literally frothing at the mouth.

My Thoughts: Ivy and Sawyer were once childhood sweethearts and were in love before Ivy disappeared. Unexpectedly Ivy's life starts falling apart and her trust is broken. She flees back home after being away for years. Sawyer is now the CEO of his family's distillery and pining after his lost love, Ivy. It doesn't take them long to run into each other in their small town and word gets around. These two reconnect and their relationship sparks reignite. Sawyer and his siblings ' relationships with one another are so endearing. True sibling bonds and the text banter were cracking me up. It was so good. Sawyer is protective of Ivy. This man is seriously so hot! His dirty talking and care for Ivy are so good. This book has dirty talk, spice, man-obsessed, stalker, and small town vibes. The plot and flow of the story was amazing. I am so happy I found this author, her debut book was such a great read. I can't wait to read more from this author and highly recommend you check this book out.

If you are a fan of Catherine Cowles, then you need to read this book and add the rest of the series to your TBR. Jenn Plummer is a new to me author and after finishing this book I’ll be reading the rest of the series, no doubt.

This story sucked me in! Ivy and Sawyer are high school sweethearts who haven’t seen each other in a decade after Ivy ran away from Aspen Ridge and broke Sawyer’s heart. Now, her new life has crumbled to ashes and she finds herself back home with her family home needing to be fixed/sold and a stomach full of fear at seeing the one man who she’s never gotten over.

One of the most unique books I’ve read recently. I absolutely LOVED getting multiple POVs from different characters other than the FMC and MMC.

I know Dallas and Blaire’s book is next and from what we saw of them in Unravel Me, the enemies to lovers energy will be strong and I can’t wait.

I love it when I connect with a book in this way and you find out it was a debut 🤯

The two MCs, I completely adored!! the relationship Sawyer has with his siblings, especially his twin Dallas. They all work together and when they need to blow off steam, they literally go box each other at the gym. I’m a sucker for sibling text threads and this one delivered!

Ivy’s life has not what she imagined when she left her home, she’s unhappy and lonely, that is, until she’s forced to return to Aspen Ridge and face Sawyer again. And just that first moment after years of being apart and unhappy it was like magnetic!!!

This is a really good second chance story, so add it to your TBR!

Overall, I think this was a good series start! There are so many compelling side characters that I can't wait to read their stories!

This series keeps popping up on booksta so I was really excited to dive in. I definitely enjoyed some parts of it, but in general I struggled with a few plot aspects which are keeping me from rating this any higher.

When these two characters reunite after 10 years, in the span of a few pages, the MMC goes from being very docile and sentimental to agitated and hurt. He should most certainly be hurt! I was getting a bit of emotional whiplash, as he would swing back and forth between 'everything is fine', to being upset. Also, the FMC defaulting to the 'we were just kids' argument was a little frustrating. I feel like I needed some emotional and intellectual ownership of the situation. I think Sawyer deserved more.

Despite these aforementioned aspects, the story and writing did keep me turning the pages. I enjoyed the family dynamics, small town feels and spice. There were definitely some sweet and swoony moments between this pair too.

3.5 stars.

Second chance romance is my favorite trope, hard stop! This is such a sweet and perfect second chance romance between two of the purest characters! It was such a cozy read and I loved every minute, kicking my heels and squealing over simp Sawyer! I binged it all in one sitting after work!

All I can say is the moment they see each other for the first time after Ivy comes home…. *chefs freaking KISS* it was that moment, only 30ish% of the way in, THAT MOMENT, locked in the five stars for me. Of every second chance romance I’ve read in my life, and I promise, it is a lot. All have great reunions/first time the MMC see each other again for the first after time apart. However, Unravel Me, in my personal opinion, has been solidified in the first place spot as the reunion of reunions for me. It was so perfect!! Jenn has set my bar pretty damn high! I doubt I’ll find anyone to top it, for me! Thank you, Jenn for sharing Sawyer and Ivy with us! They are just the cutest characters and all I want is their happiness!!
