Kayla is suffering from stage four pancreatic cancer. After four days of thinking she decided dignity isn't all it's cracked up to be. So here she is at the vampire recruitment center. She signs so many papers and notices a few words. She has a choice the dark mines or the king. She chooses the king. She's injected with what will turn her. When she wakes she's in a bed. Then a vampire comes to take her to the king. He is twice the size of a male. She spends a lot of time in the kings chambers. It's never ending. She can't believe that she came to live and is living with her duty being to be with the king.
The king was once a professor but when his predecessor passed he became the king and his job is to pro create. It's a never ending chore.
An interesting story that makes being a vampire very interesting.

Hot and steamy smut reading. Author knows how write these stories. A this one is really hot.
Kayla is seriously ill and knows she doesn't have much time left. Kayla becomes a slave, becomes a vampire, and serves the vampire king. Kayla is afraid of what it will be like, but just a few moments with the king and she realizes that she never wants to leave. Being with the king is intoxicating and she can't get enough of being repeatedly fucked and bred.

I got to read this as an arc which I am always excited to do and boy, this is your typical Steam story- ton of smut with a wee bit of plot 😅.
Fmc is sick, decides to be a vampire and breeder to the king so she won't die, essentially becomes one of MANY holes the king uses to procreate.
Mmc/ king on the other hand we learn is cursed to always want to procreate. The man literally gets no rest, it's wild.
Again, my only issue with Steam's books is they are too short even when the plot is new and interesting.

Despite being such a short story the world building was well done. Well written and easy to quite literally see the scenes play out in my head. The premise of the story itself was novel and definitely hooked me in. Then they start banging, and I was reminded I was reading smut. That’s how immersed in the setting I was. Beatrix made both characters likable even for a hopeless romantic like me who usually likes a defined couple. It was short and spicy.

Vampire King is just doing his royal duties. breeding & pregnancy kink. Phew felt like 2 regular sentences & the rest 💦💦💦🔥. He's an energizer bunny throughout the story. Kayla was all for taking one for the team. It's a bit extra on the fun words, which lost me a bit. If looking for lovey-dovey romance, this isn't a story for you. But for the spicy fix you will do fine.

It’s not often I encounter a book where I can honestly say I lost track of how many orgasms take place in a single scene, but this one did it. My rating is because it lived exactly up to what the title states. A quick smut fix for the breeder lovers out and about! A quick scene to hit you hot and fast when needed. Personally wished it was longer perhaps a novella because i was curious about the Kings condition and some of the other intricacies behind this vampire clans specific goings about but i know what it was so yea. Read like an extended epilogue, hot concise and to the smut!.
