I never thought I would find the one later in life, but I did, and he turned out to be a younger man. Rick swept into my life and swept me off my feet. The man was a handsome devil shrouded in mystery that I wanted to solve and claim as my own. Before I knew it, we were in love and engaged and heading to the altar—or so I believed. I should have listened to the warning bells in my head and to what my friends and family had tried to tell me, but I didn’t want to because I was about to get my happily ever after at the age of fifty-nine. That is, until he left me standing at the altar alone and gutted, cleaning out a good chunk of my savings and maxing my credit cards on his way out.
I was devasted and embarrassed. As Chicago’s top wedding and event planner, this was a blow to me personally and businesswise. I was now the laughingstock of my peers. But I never was one to just sit there and wallow in pity. He had awakened the person I’d tried to hide, and now I was on the hunt for the man that stole my money and heart. When I find him, I’ll tie him up in the same knots that he thought he had left me in… and I’ll make sure to wear my sexy, purple high-heeled shoes while I do it.
This is +18 and a dark romance. Age gap romance with HEA, strong language, and steamy scenes. This book is not for the faint of heart and possible warnings of triggers.
I love writing and bringing characters to life. I would get ideas for plots or themes for novels by watching TV or seeing an interaction on the street during one of my walks. I have so many ideas that I don't think I will ever be at a loss for a new book to write lol.
Reading romance is one of my favorite pastimes, next to horror books. Love me some Stephen King and Dean Koontz.
Maybe one day I will write in that genre too. Or combine the two......
**Do not diminish an authors hard work by trying to tank her by saying her book is AI. The amount of time I sit down to write everyday to the point I am now having issues with my kidney is not a joke. If you don’t like my work that is fine, if you want to point out things I can work on that is good too. But people messing with authors to get them to quit or lose revenue is appalling. I am not going anywhere..
Dawn and Erick were definitely not what I was anticipating but I'm so glad that they met. I hate the drama that surrounded them but without the drama they wouldn't be who they are.
Second I appreciate that the characters aren't 20 to 40 year olds nor are they hiding themselves from love. I appreciate reading about women and men my age enjoying love, intimacy and sex. It shows that we too are human.
Keep writing A.R. Williams and I'll keep reading!!!
Silver Vixen Series, to read about women around my age still sexy and sexually active shows these women and their mates are not dead yet. Leticia, Vera, Dawn man I know Maxine is gonna be good. You ended Dawn with a mention of Silas and I am thinking his book coming in 2026. I love this book but when I see mention of folks in other books it feels like a reunion and I like how you threw in a honorable mention of the Brooks with Erick suspension. Very hot and will be getting toys talked about from Pink Cherry😘
I was intrigued to learn more about Dawn's story. There was plenty of red hot steam, humor & more. It was a long, interesting road, and Dawn did get her HEA. Characters both old and new were added to the story. I am patiently looking forward to the next story.
I loved all 3 but I think this one with Dawn & Erick is my favorite. Can’t wait to read Travis and Maxine story, that seems hilarious. I know I will be reading this series over, being a Silver Vixen myself. I love that you’re giving romance stories for us. I’m ready for whatever is next.
This series was a joy to read. I laughed an got mad. Can't wait to read about Maxine. I love that they all end happy. Will you give more about Rick an his daughter? That seems to be a good story also.
Convoluted. What is going on? The plot was unbelievable. Dawn is into BDSM. And, plans to use "domestic persona" as revenge to get her stolen money back from her con ex-fiance. This trope, BDSM, is so played out! It was used as filler and dulled what could have been an exciting story. Not the author's best work. It's choppy and never really pulls the reader into the story. The characters are never developed. Let's hope the author gets back her MOJO and the next book is much better.
Reading so many love romances like this one is Trust in whatever you're pursuing is a wonderful ingredient to have. This was such a romance storyline. I loved reading this book. Thank you Author.
Sexy, fast-paced and interesting. I read this so quickly, it was easy to read and hooked me into the story. It was very spicy and also intriguing as I kept wondering what would happen next and if everything would turn out okay. I was not disappointed. 😉
