Spoilers! I will start by saying this was such a beautifully written, fairytale like romance. I was captivated from the beginning and finished in a day - did not want to put it down but work comes first haha! I fell in love with the humor, fine and delicate details of the era this book takes place in. I loved that it’s your traditional fantasy with time travel and what I think could be going towards a prophetic story about going after love over the politics of the era. I found the cattiness of the women back then on point and quite hilarious, but in a good way! One point, I even LOL’d and pump fisted in the air! The ending is a MAJOR cliffhanger and I can’t wait for the next one!!

I recently finished A Waltz Through Time by @bethrichardsbooks so wanted to share my thoughts…spoiler alert I loved it, 5 stars!

Think Pride and Prejudice meets Bridgerton meets time travel! Sounds good right? I listened to the audiobook and the narrator was great! She really bought the Maggie’s (FMC) character to life throughout the story. And even though this is very much clean romance, you could absolutely feel the sparks between her and Atlas literally the second they met! This was just a charming story with all the things from the regency era I love but with some mystery and intrigue! The way this ended had me 🤯, so I’ll be patiently waiting for the sequel!

A Waltz Through Time is available on KU now, so go add to your TBR! Also small note, the cover has since changed so be alarmed if it looks a little different!

A huge Thank You to @bethrichardsbooks for gifting me this book, I loved it and am so grateful!

Where to start! This story starts off a little slow but in a good way. It builds up to the new world that Maggie has been dropped into. This story is about time travel, historical pasts and mystery. Honestly I thought I had this storyline all played out and then there were multiple twists in this story. And of course it ends on a cliffhanger. But all in all this is an amazing book that describes the past so vividly and I felt like I was in the room with the characters chasing after leads of the past. The slow burn romance had me just wanting them to confess there love already! But in the end is love strong enough to stop time.

Finished in one day! This was a refreshing read that still felt lighthearted despite the characters' conflicts and emotions, mainly because there is a consistent reassuring tone. It makes you want to continue reading to find out what happens next–not feeling anxious or scared–but excited! I would recommend this to readers as young as middle school to learn from the great writing and historical details (plus the history facts the author added at the end). I enjoyed the mixture of adventure, friendship, love, and discovering more layers to the story. I'm looking forward to reading the full series!

Good book

I got this book as an arc reader. Honestly for me it was slow to start. It was somewhere between page 70 and 80 that had me like okay I'm actually looking forward to seeing what comes next. I do think this first book is a lot of understanding Maggie. The twists are good I didn't see them coming. This book does end on a cliffhanger which isn't my normal style unless the series is finished. However, the ending has me realizing that I absolutely have to read the next book. It's a good introduction to the world she is building and if you like history you will enjoy this book.

Ah! This was great! YA isnt normally my go-to, nor is historical but this was a fun ride. Maggie gives Claire from Outlander if she’d had any sort of survival instincts in the backdrop of regency England. Its was light and sweet with fan-friggin-tastic tension. Highly recommend for those who love Bridgerton-esk romance but want something far less spicy.

This was a amazing story. I really enjoyed Maggie Spencer and her journey through time. Then meeting Viscount Atlas Montgomery in Regency England and fumbling her way through the major differences of the time changes. From the first page to the end this was a beautiful book. I can't wait for the second book.

It is an intriguing story about a young woman who travels back in time. The story captivated me with interesting characters and a wonderful mystery to solve. The MMC takes an interest in the MFC. Well written, fascinating, and left me wanting more. Can't wait for book 2.

One of the best books I’ve read so far this year! A time-traveling romance for the ages.
✨3 words/phrases to describe: refreshing, enchanting, swoon-worthy
✨synopsis:
✨ what I liked: Maggie Spencer is an outdoor enthusiast. While out scoping areas for her next guided hike, she comes across an amulet and some standing stones. When she picks up the amulet, she’s transported to the same forest she was standing in before. Except now, she feels a difference. She makes a lean-to in the woods and stumbles across a manor, where she realizes she’s not in her time. Atlas Montgomery comes across Maggie in the woods and offers her shelter. There, she meets Juliette, Atlas’s sister. Over time, friendship blossoms with Juliette and romance blossoms with Atlas. All the while, Maggie is wondering how she will get back to her original time and home. Along the way to finding answers, she meets Nathaniel Hawthorne who is also enlisted to help in researching how Maggie can get home. With all 4 friends digging into the past, secrets come to light that change everything. Will Maggie make it back home? Or better yet, will she even want to go back home?
✨what I liked: this is a happy, feel-good book. In the last few weeks I’ve been dealing with major health issues that have become debilitating. Through doctor’s appointments and flights scheduled to go back to the US for further investigation, it’s been a stressful time period. This book has given me a reprieve from the stress. I loved everything about this book. The writing style was easy to comprehend as well as period appropriate which I loved. The characters are all lovable and Atlas Montgomery and Nathaniel Hawthorne are swoon-worthy! The secrets and twists that come to light were not what I expected so I was excited to keep reading and find out. However, I was loving this book so much I slowed down my reading pace because I really didn’t want it to end 😅. I can’t wait for the second book to come out 🤩.

📚If after reading my review, you still feel on the fence about reading this book I should mention that today (March 28) and tomorrow (March 29), this book is FREE TO BUY in the Kindle Store, so get it and give it a try. I guarantee it’ll bring a smile to your face and sense of peace to your day 🫶🏻📚

Wow, why didn't I read this sooner?! It was way more than I ever could've imagined.
I've read many time travel books, but I love how unique this one was! So much thought went into it and it was just amazing. 😍

Is almost gave me classic feels reading it, and I loved that! The romance was a sweet slow burn, but also one of those where it's obvious they immediately fell for each other. He right away sees she's different, he's never met anyone like her - that's always my favorite part about time travels. 🩷

Today is release day for book 2, so make sure you go and check out both of them!! This one ends with a big cliffhanger, so you'll want both. 😍

Thank you so much @bethrichardsbooks for the #gifted audiobook!! 🥰🩷

This was really easy to read. It definitely picks up a lot towards the middle once pieces start getting put together. I appreciate the direction this is going with explaining the relevance of the Maggie’s amulet since I was wondering how deep we were going to get into that. It definitely leaves you ready to get into the next book. I do wish it was a bit longer as sometimes I felt like Maggie’s personality wasn’t showing us much outside of her being from the future. The romance was cute for sure. Overall, I enjoyed this since it reminded me of some of the isekai manga/manhwa I read that have similar plot lines.
Thanks to the author for giving me a copy for an honest review.

This book converted me into fan of time travel stories!
This story started off very sweet with an outdoorsy young lady scouting out a location to explore off her and her father's regular stomping ground, but her survival training never prepared her for the sudden departure from 2025 to being a trespasser in the forest of nobility in 1814. Fortunately, the charismatic Viscount Atlas Montgomery, has immediately found the vegetable thief, that only looks like a French spy, most intriguing and is determined to protect and aid her as much as she will allow him to. With some help, she is able to adapt and camouflage into their lives. The tale reads like an addictive mystery with an enveloping eerie vibe as the clues and secrets surrounding Margrets travel and why some close to them may have answers are sought out. The romance between Atlas and Margaret is sweet but slow with the aching awareness that an attachment could be severed in an instant by time. While the mystery is intriguing and the romance is swoony, it is impossible not to laugh when it is peppered with Atlas' sister Juliette and his loyal friend Nathaniel who add so much humor and cheerfulness to their adventure.
I am very glad I didn't know this ended with a cliffhanger, never been a fan of those. But I can't deny I loved this story, but I need book 2 in my life ASAP!!!!

This is a completely unbiased review, I met Beth recently at a bookish market I hosted in Houston. She was such a pleasant person to speak with and I was so excited to dive into her book so that I could give her an honest review.

A Waltz Through Time” swept me off my feet from the very first page. Beth Richards does a beautiful job blending historical romance with just the right touch of magic. The Regency setting felt vivid and authentic, yet the story was fresh and unique thanks to the time travel twist. Maggie is relatable, strong, intelligent, and easy to root for while Atlas makes the perfect romantic counterpart, protective without overshadowing her.

What I loved most was how the romance unfolded naturally, with respect and depth, making their connection truly believable. The writing is smooth, descriptive, and engaging, keeping me turning the pages late into the night.

This book has all the charm of Bridgerton with the adventurous feel of Outlander, but it still manages to stand apart as its own special story. I can’t wait to read more!

From the very first page, it had me hooked. The intrigue, the character development, and the beautifully detailed setting all flowed seamlessly, making it impossible to put down. The mystery surrounding the plot was perfectly balanced—exciting, yet easy to follow.

I absolutely loved the character dynamics! The heroine was lovable, engaging, and held my attention throughout. And the romance? Just the right amount—slow-burning, respectful to the time period, and completely swoon-worthy. It wasn’t overly touchy or rushed, making it feel authentic and wholesome.

I don’t typically read Regency-era books (I’m more of a mystery and dark fantasy reader), but this story was a breath of fresh air. If I had to sum it up in three words: Thrilling. Magical. Romantic.

I cannot wait for Book 2!

This short time travel romance was exactly what I needed—a quick, captivating escape with just the right blend of heart and adventure. The storyline pulled me in right away, with a unique twist on time travel that felt fresh and exciting.

I especially loved how the author balanced the historical details with the modern perspective—making the time shifts feel seamless and immersive. The pacing was tight, the writing flowed beautifully, and the ending left me needing more!

If you're in the mood for something romantic, adventurous, and easy to devour in one sitting, this one is a gem. Highly recommend!

The best way to tell you to pick up this book would be… do you like Bridgeton, outlander, and timeless? Then this is the book for you. Magical relics, fun characters to fall in love with. Secrets lost to time and finally unraveled. The world was built beautifully. I enjoyed reading this book very much. It was one of those books that I looked forward to come home to. Slow burn closed door romance, found family and friends that make you feel home even when Maggie was lost and in a strange place.
The ending was a breathtaking cliffhanger but the best kind of cliffhanger that makes you slam the book on the wall and scream NOoooooo!!!!! Good thing is that book 2 is out and I got to dive right into it. Juliette was a beautiful character and I loved her so much!

3.25⭐️ An interesting story and I loved the going back in time part! The love story was quite beautiful as well. The story just had so many missing pieces for me and let so much out that it didn’t feel like it could be remotely realistic. I just needed more information and more explanation on how she could fit in so easily and how she didn’t really seemed concerned and there was never an idea of where she was or the year. A cute yet somewhat incomplete story.

The misty glimmer of the Regency era is perfectly captured in ballrooms, greenhouses, and manicured woods. ✨ The story follows a young woman’s discovery of a generational mystery where she is cast into a role and time line she never expected. Atlas is a handsome Darcy-esque gentleman that I can’t wait to learn more about. Him and his pocketwatch 🥰

I got the chance to read this book when I won it in a giveaway.
I think its a really good debut book. I really liked the time travel theme, and the way the story had more then one POV in a chapter.

The plot was good and well thought out. You can just feel Maggie and Atlas longing for each other.

Something that botherd me however was that Maggie got a dress in the beginning but it isnt explained how she got it. Other than that its a good debut book!

Thank you for giving me the chance to read it!
