Katie Stephens is a hilariously confident 28 year old and never shies away from saying what’s on her mind. Her wit and banter with friends never left a smirk far from my face. But when her casual go-to man, Cole Castle is around, suddenly there are things she’s unable to voice.

Cole Castle is the male equivalent of Katie. Maybe this is why their relationship is so strong. But after a night out, this story took a dark turn I didn’t expect.

The author is one I know and love for her precious books but this one felt entirely different. The dark element certainly took me by surprise but certain elements of the story were predictable towards the end and I craved there to just be that special something that I didn’t grasp. But saying that, the characters have got to be my favourite pairing yet. The friendships, the bonds, the nothing-is-out-of-reach mentality was as prominent as ever. I loved the shorter chapters as it kept me reading (just another one, or two, or maybe three!).

It was an easy and thrilling read, that I selfishly just wanted that little bit more from, but an absolute must read for CA Ellis fans. An excellent third instalment in the Entwined in the Vine series and I can’t wait to see what will be next!
