And I looked, and behold a pale and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
Revelation 6:8
The final days of Earth have arrived, and the seals are broken. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are unleashed, bringing devastation, famine, and death to the planet. As society crumbles under the weight of chaos, survival becomes a brutal game.
Silas Ford has managed to avoid the worst of the violence during the Second American Civil War, but the nightmare is far from over. When the world turns to dust, the strong prey on the weak, and every man must decide how far he’s willing to go to live another day. Silas opens his compound to several newcomers. The additional members bring much-needed manpower to help with security and chores, but they each come with their own baggage that jeopardizes the group dynamic.
The art of survival is no simple task. When Silas agrees to watch over a local farmer’s cattle, a ruthless trickster steals the herd. Now, Silas must venture into the heart of a lawless, virus-ravaged world to recover what’s been taken. With death lurking around every corner and the deadly virus spreading like wildfire, this mission could cost him everything.

As with all works by Mark Goodwin, this book contains no profanity and no embarrassing sex scenes. However, if you're offended by conservative principles and references to Scripture, this book might not be for you.
Mark Goodwin is a Christian author and host of the popular Prepper Recon Podcast which interviews patriots, preppers and economists to help people prepare for the uncertain times ahead. His previous fiction series, The Days of Noah spent several months at number one on the Amazon best-sellers list in multiple categories. His first series, The Economic Collapse Chronicles, also hit the Amazon best-sellers list in several categories.
I like all books by Goodwin, this is no exception. I like how the guy converts and is saved. This is one of his better books,i think. He gives hints on survival as well
Not as good as the first one. I was still locked in the whole time, it just didn’t focus on anything I was wanting to see until the end. We only follow our main guy and his family living at their compound off the grid and that’s 90% of this book. Yeah what they get into is somewhat interesting, I was never bored with it but we only get small snippets of what’s going on in the world via occasional radio broadcasts. Not really a whole lot of biblical stuff happening and the UAP stuff is pretty much nonexistent in this one. The writing is still a little cringe too and there’s some stuff happening sometimes with our characters that just not logical and comes out of nowhere at times. The last hour or so of this book gets back to what’s happening in the world and we finally get some more biblical events and mentions, and sets up the third book pretty well. Hopefully this trilogy closes out strong.
Solar and Advil have made it to the family homestead in North Carolina. The elderly neighbors are still there. They have dinner with them and in return watch the cows during the night. Rina does make it to the homestead surprisingly. They have a run in with a pastor, rescue a 14 year old girl and take in a nursing assistant. They deal with cattle wrestlers, a crooked judge and end up going back to DC. There is a lot of dangerous instances, famine, disease. Very exciting. Great job. Thank you. Looking forward to Book 3.
For readers of the Kingdom Come Series, the action becomes more dangerous and intense in Book 2, Rider on a Pale Horse. Will Silas at last except that the bible isn't a fairy tale? How will the AntiChrist explain the world wide events? This series is compelling and action packed. Each Book ends on a cliffhanger but thankfully there are more books to follow.
I really enjoy everything Mark Goodwin writes. I Wasn't sure about aliens, once I started I had to continue reading. The characters are likable, some prepping ideas and a new way of understanding revelations. I am really looking forward to reading book 3. Stay alert people.
I have read every book Mark Goodwin has written and as with all the others, this one doesn’t fail to keep me entertained! His characters are believable and the storylines are biblically consistent. I’m a huge fan & can’t wait for the 3rd book to be released!
I enjoyed and read books 1 and 2 and I have 3 on order. I enjoyed them and will read more by this author. The only reason I didn't give that extra star was that there were several grammatical errors, and he overuses the phrase "stitched his/her eyebrows together".
I really enjoyed the book, I think it was better than the first book. I disagree with his timing for the rapture but it’s still a great story. I look forward to Silas and Avril coming to faith.
Goodwin has always impressed with his writing. You won’t be disappointed with this series. Don’t forget to read his other series that follow this theme.
This is the second installment of the Kingdom Come series. In today's world, you begin to see an uncanny similarly between some beliefs and the scope of the book. I look forward to reading the third installment. Well worth the read.
Depictions of what might happen in the future are very believable with AI becoming so prominent. Follow Silas and Avril in their adventures to discover the truth. What will they do next?
I enjoyed this book better than the first one. The story is starting to come together and the addition of some likeable characters helped me stick around. Now everything is coming together and I look forward to the next book.
In a world that is in constant social economic flux, it so great to read Marks books because it puts all back into perspective. Choose Christ first and avoid the curse! Amen
In book two our characters have settled in North Carolina and while there are some fights, they have built a good life. Returning to DC things are very diffetent. More of their group begin to believe in GOD. What comes next?
It’s like Left Behind series but shorter with the knowledge and inclusion of technology as we know it today and can imagine it for tomorrow with a side of biblical prophecy. Good characters I became invested in knowing what happens to them. Will finish the series
