Wow! This was my favorite book for a long time. A phenomenal book about a boy named Steven dealing with his drum concerts, crazy girls, baby brother with leukemia, and Samantha. Samantha is such a deep and strong character(even though she was only introduced near the end.) she was really the person who introduced Stevens life lesson. It was really sad when Steven found out that she died. Love this book!

I think that Drums Girls and Dangerous Pie is a great book. It has a heart-touching story and funny in the way. I think that Drums Girls and Dangerous Pie is a great story for young readers because it has a lot of emotions. I also like that his little brother has Cancer and not just a friend, plus I like it because it switches back to Steven then back to Jeffery.

Steven has to live with his little brother and be there for him when he most needs of him. He doesn't tell anyone and has to live under a great amount of stress. I would recommend this book to all readers

Thirteen-year-old Steven has a totally normal life: he plays drums in the All-Star Jazz band, has a crush on the hottest girl in the school, and is constantly annoyed by his five-year-old brother, Jeffrey. But when Jeffrey is diagnosed with leukemia, Steven's world is turned upside down. He is forced to deal with his brother's illness and his parents' attempts to keep the family in one piece. Salted with humor and peppered with devastating realities, Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie is a heartwarming journey through a year in the life of a family in crisis.

One of my favorite books of the year, A brave and beautiful story that will make readers laugh, and break their hearts at the same time. 5/5 in my opinion.
