gCod: An Extreme Horror Story

A Buddhist Monk despises the mindless world around him and is determined to help others who have failed at mindful living. He believes the death of the nearby city people will release the mindless into another realm to try again. Their bodies will serve one last invoke the darkest ritual of sacrifice and selflessness. And the vilest demons of the hell realms are just waiting to be called upon to feast. The ritual of gCod (or Chod) is practiced by a few and does exist in Tibetan Buddhism. It is a remnant of the Shamanic Bon tradition of Tibet, before Buddhism arrived from India. This story is a fictional account containing gore and sexual explicity.

Based on true Buddhist practices, and turned into a truly chilling fictional story, this is a really quick read, packed with atmosphere and horrific visuals. This is my first book by this author, but it won't be my last!

Well written and captivating, with a smooth narrative.. and a nightmare ending that will be forever etched on my soul. This was tense, creepy, and sinister.

It really was a great time, and I do hope to get more from Sandra in the future!

A quick piece that still manages to build a sense of foreboding carried along by subtle but compelling foreshadowing that also brings to light human psychology and spirituality, along with graphic violence. This book was a great reflection on the adage "We are drawn to our own demise". It's hard to leave an in-depth review without spoiling anything, as this story is a short one. That being said, go read it for yourself to see what I'm talking about. Poor Aldo.

The darkly spellbinding tale follows a monk, who stalks the local underbelly. With a perverse form of righteousness, he meditates on the perceived evil around him. I felt like an unwilling witness to a manic, but my word, the writer keeps you hooked.
