In today's world, we find two conflicting pictures of Islam. There is the picture that all Muslims are terrorists and there is the picture that Muslims are peace loving people. This author compares Christianity to Islam to try to give us a picture of the true underpinnings of the religion.

We see that Islam had a very violent early history. He sheds light on the events that led up to the crusades that show that they were a reaction to the attacks that Muslims had already carried out in Christian lands. He sheds light on some of the practices that are still upheld in Muslim countries today.
