I was expecting stories of actual Colorado tunnels and their (sometimes illicit) uses, yet this was mostly an inventory of basements. I couldn't believe how many she was denied access to, yet had construction documents of NORAD? What little history this book contained was interesting, but the black and white photos started to be repetitive. I appreciate her passion for preservation, though!

This was an interesting read for the history lover in Colorado. My only complaint was that the pictures were black and white, which made some of the more interesting finds like crystal sky lights, less dramatic. I'm hoping the author has these pictures posted somewhere in full color.

Great book. I love Colorado history. The author covers a unique piece of history I didn’t know. Always wondered what those little glass circles were in the manhole covers around Denver.
