Creo que hasta ahora este ha sido el más soft de esta saga. Estuvo lindo (dentro de lo que cabe) y demostrando que hasta los demonios tratan mejor a las mujeres.

Geraldine & THE Demon were a STEAMY pairing! It was a great combination of size difference, horn kink (that’s a new one!) and did I mention he is double endowned!!! Jenika always delivers on the super smuttiness 👏

I did think the characters were a bit one dimensional. I knooooow it’s a novella but their communication felt a little too much like “I Tarzan. You Jane.”. That being said….I will never stop reading these.

Vine en busca de cobre y encontré una piedra. Malísimo, lo cual es una pena teniendo en cuenta los otros. Sé que tiene como 50 páginas, pero ¿de verdad hacían falta 50 páginas de clichés cutrones y frases repetidas hasta la saciedad? Estoy harta.
De hecho, creo que voy a dejarme el monster romance porque últimamente todo es una putísima mierda con los mismos dos argumentos llenos de "tropes" y frasecitas regurjitadas de tantas veces que se repiten. Fue bonito mientras duró.

just the like others, this is short and sweet and oh so spicy! this demon sounds like a lot of fun with velvet, onyx skin, spiraling horns (sensitive & made for her pleasure as well) and two appendages! i’d say this novella was split pretty evenly between our FMC’s point of view, Geraldine, and the Demon’s. however, i think i’d like it a little more if there was more of Geraldine’s POV while intercourse was happening & during the Demon’s fight with her assailants. overall, i just wish it was a little longer … because i was loving this couple.

This was a short but spicy book. It starts off with our female star running from her father and his guards. Her father wishes to use her as a pawn and marry her off to an abus!ve man. She runs through the forest and into a cave belonging to a demon.

One look at the female and he knows she’s his mate (which is a rarity among his kind.)
He decides to keep her and after some pretty words and spicy actions, she agrees. They spice begins and y’all.. he destroys her enemies for her. It’s hot.

There were some moments in the book where I was like “not my kind of thing.” The licking the bu++ scene was definitely not my thing but to each their own.

Oh and I forgot to mention.. he’s got 2 peens.

Geraldine finds herself running into the forest to escape the fate her father has planned for her. In doing so, she runs straight into the arms of a literal demon. This beast may resemble a human but he definitely isn’t. Complete with two peens, a skull like face, red eyes and horns…this monster holds nothing back and will do anything for his newly found mate.

“You belong to me, Geraldine. But I belong to you as well. My kind rarely find their mate. They are rare, but they are absolute when fate gives her to us. And now that you are here, I will never let you go. I can’t, for that would be akin to ripping out my organs and feeding them to the next beast.”

Short, smutty and classic Jenika. Kind of wish it had been longer 🤷🏻‍♀️. I really enjoyed the short build up to their coupling and their relationship development would have benefited greatly from a full length story. However, if you’re just looking for a quick and filthy monster romance I’d suggest picking this up.

I’ve read most of Jenika Snow's books, even her taboo ones, which are only available on her site. I’m pretty familiar with her writing. When I reach for her books, I look for something specific—smut, and Jenika always delivers. The Demon is a fast-paced story filled with nothing but one steamy scene after another. It's a “monster romance” when the characters connect instantly, and you just kind of roll with it because it’s a smut-driven story. And for a smutty story, it’s a pretty good one.

Il était massif, cornu… une créature sortie de cauchemars.
Et dès que ses yeux brillants se sont posés sur moi, j'ai su une chose sans l'ombre d'un doute : j'étais à lui.
Maintenant, j'étais piégée dans son antre, revendiquée par une bête qui refusait de me lâcher.
Je pensais courir vers la liberté.
Mais je me suis précipitée dans ses bras.
Et j'étais encore plus terrifiée, parce que… je ne voulais pas partir.

La prise de conscience que j'étais tombé sur l'antre d'une créature inconnue s'est enfoncée dans mes os, pressant contre mes côtes comme un avertissement tacite, de sorte que je ne pouvais pas prendre une inspiration complète.

J'étais figé sur place et je m'efforçais d'écouter au-delà du battement rythmique de mon cœur qui battait dans mes oreilles.

Et c'était encore là.

Un grondement profond et guttural résonna dans la grotte et fit battre mon cœur comme si je courais pour sauver ma vie. Mais ce n'était pas qu'un son.

Cette créature était un prédateur au sommet de la chaîne alimentaire.

Je reculai d'un pas, le pouls battant à tout rompre. La lumière devant moi était faible, encore un peu lointaine. Et l'obscurité semblait infinie, immense, un abîme qui aurait pu m'engloutir. Plus je restais là, paniqué, plus je le sentais : quelque chose m'observait.

L'envie de fuir hurlait en moi, mais la connaissance que les gardes rôdaient toujours dehors me maintenait figé sur place.

J'ai cligné des yeux, et voilà. Un léger mouvement dans l'obscurité. C'était subtil, mais quelle que soit cette créature, elle était immense, remuant l'air jusqu'à me faire bouger les cheveux.

La panique m'envahit tandis que mes yeux s'ajustaient davantage, captant une forme bien plus grande que tout ce qui était humain devant moi et se concentrant directement sur moi.

Mon souffle s'est arrêté, un frisson glacial m'a parcouru l'échine, et finalement, j'ai fait un pas en arrière, puis un autre.

J'avalai ma salive, la gorge sèche, forçant mes pieds à continuer d'avancer malgré le poids de la peur qui pesait sur moi. Chaque pas en arrière était lent, réfléchi, mon cœur battant comme un tambour de guerre à mes oreilles. Et là, je restais concentré sur la silhouette devant moi.

Je savais qu'affronter les gardes à l'extérieur me donnait une bien meilleure chance de survie que ce qui m'attendait.

Des ombres glissaient et s'enroulaient autour de moi. Il y avait juste assez de visibilité pour que je puisse voir mon souffle s'embuer devant moi, des volutes de vapeur blanche se dissipant dans le vide.

Un autre grognement retentit, résonnant sur les murs. Puis, la créature à l'origine de ce bruit terrifiant s'avança à ma poursuite. Mais j'étais trop terrifiée pour accélérer. Mon instinct me disait que courir ne ferait qu'intensifier le besoin de cette créature de me poursuivre.

Un autre grognement, un avertissement clair cette fois, me figea en plein pas. Ce son n'émanait pas seulement d'un bruit sauvage et massif : il était intelligent, délibéré, destiné à me mettre en garde.

La grotte sembla trembler à nouveau à cause du bruit.

Et pourtant, le monstre rôdait de plus en plus près. Une nouvelle odeur envahit mes sens. Elle était épaisse et musquée. Si je devais la décrire, je dirais simplement qu'elle était ancienne et inhumaine. Quelque chose d'un autre monde.

Je n'étais pas censé être ici, mais quelque chose en moi criait que je ne quitterais pas cette grotte.

Et quand il s'est mis à charger, j'ai eu la bouche grande ouverte, les yeux écarquillés, et j'ai voulu hurler, mais rien n'en est sorti. Une bouffée d'air froid m'a submergée, soulevant mes cheveux et répandant une terreur pure et brute dans mes veines.

Ma peau me piquait et mon instinct de survie a finalement pris le dessus. Je me suis retourné et j'ai couru, incapable de rien voir mais sachant que je devais m'échapper.

Puis, des profondeurs de l'obscurité derrière moi, j'entendis une voix. Basse, rauque, imprégnée de tout ce qui était animal. Je ne comprenais pas son langage, et pourtant, je continuai à courir.

Mais je n'ai pas pu aller bien loin. Un poids s'est enroulé autour de ma taille, m'a soulevé du sol et m'a enfoncé ses griffes dans le flanc, sans pour autant me percer la peau. J'étais plaqué contre une poitrine dure, large et énorme, et juste au moment où je trouvais ma voix pour crier, une main qui ne semblait pas humaine a recouvert le bas de mon visage.

« Chut », murmura-t-il contre mon oreille.

Mes yeux étaient écarquillés, des larmes coulaient sur mes joues tandis que je luttais. Mais c'était inutile, j'étais minuscule et faible comparée à cette bête.

« Tu ne devrais pas être ici, petit. »

J'ai pleuré plus fort alors que les mots m'enveloppaient comme le mal lui-même, s'enfonçant dans mon corps.

« Mais maintenant que tu es là », grogna-t-il, se retourna et commença à s'enfoncer plus profondément dans son antre, « tu es à moi. »

Je n’étais plus seulement un intrus.

J'étais sa proie.

J'avais fait exactement ce que ces contes m'avaient déconseillé de faire : je me suis enfui dans les bois.

Et là se trouvait cette créature : un véritable démon.

Il était incroyablement grand, sa silhouette puissante et sa musculature épaisse, sa peau noircie luisant sous la lumière du feu. Sa teinte était identique à celle des murs d'onyx qui nous entouraient.

Ses énormes mains griffues se pliaient à ses flancs, et ses cornes recourbées projetaient des ombres menaçantes sur les murs. Son visage n'en était pas un. C'était un horrible visage en forme de crâne, qui aurait dû me remplir d'horreur.

Ses yeux rouges et brillants étaient étranges, terrifiants, et pourtant… magnifiques. J'ignorais sa taille, mais le plafond de la caverne devait mesurer au moins trois mètres de haut, et cette bête ne mesurait pas moins de deux mètres, sans compter ses cornes féroces.

Mon Dieu, il était grand, musclé… et complètement nu.

Et ce monstre n'avait pas qu'un seul appendice, très masculin. Mais deux . Tous deux épais et longs. L'un des deux sexes était placé normalement, comme celui d'un homme. Le second poussait juste en dessous du premier, avec deux lourds poids jumeaux suspendus en dessous, qui oscillaient légèrement lorsqu'il déplaçait ses sabots.

Oui. Pieds sabots.

Et les bites du démon devenaient maintenant dures.

Il était excité.

Il grogna, et je levai brusquement les yeux pour soutenir son regard. Ses yeux en fusion étaient fixés sur les miens, sans ciller.

« Où suis-je ? » Ma voix s'est brisée, et j'étais surprise d'avoir pu former des mots dans ma situation actuelle.

Le démon – car je ne savais pas comment appeler cette créature autrement – ​​pencha la tête, l'expression indéchiffrable. « Dans mon antre. » Sa voix était déformée et plus grave que toutes celles que j'avais entendues auparavant, un grondement de tonnerre qui résonna profondément dans mes os. Cela n'aurait pas dû me réchauffer le cœur, mais ce fut le cas, et je me sentis écœuré et honteux par sa réponse.

Je serrai les doigts dans la fourrure et déglutis difficilement. « Qu'est-ce que tu me veux ? »

Il avança lentement et délibérément, ses grands sabots martelant durement la pierre lisse. Mon corps se tendit, mon cœur battait fort contre mes côtes, tandis que chaque partie de mon être me criait de fuir.

Mais je n'avais nulle part où aller, pas quand la seule sortie que je voyais était une ouverture déchiquetée de l'autre côté de la caverne, et il bloquait ma fuite.

La créature s'accroupit devant moi, se rapprochant, tout en restant hors de portée. Si je le croyais énorme auparavant, sa proximité m'a fait réaliser que j'avais largement sous-estimé sa taille.

« Pour ta sécurité », me répondit-il enfin. Ses yeux brillants scrutèrent mon visage.

C'était surréaliste de voir son crâne d'aussi près, de savoir que je n'avais jamais vu une bête pareille auparavant. Jamais, même dans mes pires cauchemars, je n'aurais pu imaginer une chose pareille.

« Tu as fui quelque chose de bien pire », dit-il sans détour. « Et tu t'es jetée dans mes bras. »

J'ai dégluti, la gorge serrée, et j'ai secoué la tête. « Je… je ne me suis pas jetée dans tes bras. Tu m'as prise. »

This is the fourth book in the Monsters and Beauties series by Jenika Snow and as always it did not disappoint. This story is a monster and human romance filled with lots of heat. This story is not all about the plot, however it is all about the smexy times and crazy chemistry that swirls between Geraldine the human heroine and Demon her beastly mate. We see the female lead Geraldine running away from her evil father and his soldiers finding herself going from a terrifying situation straight into another one. She hides out in a cave and soon realises that she is not alone in the darkness of the cave.
The Demon immediately says she is his mate and that he will not let her go, she is scared but knows there is truth to his words by the way she feels and now her world will become irrevocably changed forever once she accepts these feelings. Demon can't wait to get his claws on his little mate and its deliciously hot when he finally does. Geraldine and the Demon are extremely intimate with each other so bear that in mind. They soon go on an intimate journey of discovery together which involves the use of claws, a devilishly talented tongue and an urge to mate. Saw a NSFW art of The Demon and knew I needed to check it out....for scientific purposes of course.

A lonely demon with 2 penises (yes 2 😏), falls in love with a beautiful, curvy woman on the run from her abusive father. It was short, spicy and I loved every minute of it.

“Why do you have two?”
“I have two in order to pleasure my mate in ways no human male ever could.”

The demon was gentle with Geraldine, made her feel safe, while bringing grown men to their knees in fear. "He was a predator, but he didn’t pose a threat to me."

Once again Jenkia Snow makes me realize why I love monster romances so much. He ability to create great characters and connections in a short amount of time is chef's kiss.

The line, “So pink and wet. So perfectly wrecked.” will rent free in my head 😂.
