Unorthodox is one way to describe Sal. She does things her own way, always has. She freely moves from one town to the next, untethered. She has her Jeep. She has her dog. And for the first time in a long time she has hope. Hope, that a single link to her past will help her reconcile a situation she cannot understand. Hope, that she can finally belong to a family.
I loved this book so much. It kept me thinking about Sal and her family secrets even when I wasn’t reading. I didn’t want to put it down. The characters are developed so well you can picture it all. It’s also a lovely escape during the winter months so you can picture yourself at the beach!
This book is one of those reads that just makes your heart smile. Sals story not only takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions but keeps you on the edge of your seat. Bre develops the characters so well that by the end you feel like part of the family.
