I enjoyed this. Again, it was a quick read. I'm starting to see that L.Renee writes short stories. It means the stories get condensed which I don't always like but this was well-written so I made it to the end.
It did drag like the first half as it felt like Mazi was unsuccessfully investigating her siblings sudden deaths, especially for it to all be resolved quite quickly at the end.
I would've loved to see more of Crew and Asiahn I liked their love story better than the Mazi and Cross lol
Unfortunately, the steamy scenes were toned down in this. 🥹 It wasn't as spicy.
I found it funny when a customer tried to pay with monopoly money! 🤣That part was hilarious.
I like the way L.Renee tells a story. She ties all loose ends, it's humourous, with enough action to keep you engaged and personable characters. I just wished it was longer! But a great read nonetheless 👍🏾
This read had me on the edge of my seat , always wanting more I couldn’t put it down . Mari is one badass FMC and the story of this books is just gripping.
This had an okay plot and the characters weren’t terrible it’s just the thought process of our FMC made little to no sense. Like your sister dies in front of a club and your instinct is blame the club owners and his brothers???? Like HMMM not the boyfriend you always hated? Lmao not even after he was out in some girl face not even a month since your sister’s passing. Like I’m sorry the story was predictable and I’m willing to bet Bacari and his family was responsible.
