So I'm really not sure where to begin with this review because l've read all the books in thus series and this being the last I was quite sad wow did this book really end and tie everything together so nicely!! Ahhh this book made me cry in so many ways. I loved reading about Janie and her story and her discovering her family. I felt for her and I felt every single raw emotion. She wanted to just fill the void she had from losing her mom and gosh I can relate. I lost my mom and I feel like I'm always trying to fill the void of losing her. I seriously loved this book. Although at times I wanted to shake Janie and be like what are you doing !!!! I'm am seriously not sure what I am gonna do now that this series is over. I hope the author is working on something else just as good !! I also have to say I loved how we had an epilogue and it was far in the future that was so nice I won't go into to much on that or much more of the book cause I'm scared I will say something I shouldn't and give something away. So I will say go read this series !! This author is amazing in every way and her writing is just incredible and you will get sucked into her world so easily !!!
I can’t believe this series came to an end. I sobbed and sobbed through this book because I kept hoping for a different outcome, though I know she was really gone. This story ruined me in the best way and I somehow cannot move on them.
This series will forever stay with me and I cannot believe it’s over. When the author sent me this book I NEVER expected to love it this way. What do you mean I have to leave? What do you mean I can’t move to Southport and try to save Lizzie???
What a beautiful story for Janie.
Thank you so much, SR Fabrico, for the arc to read and review. I was honored to finish this story early.
Janie’s Hope Set in the enchanting town of Southport, this romantic mystery will sweep you away on an emotional journey of love, hope and second chances. Despite danger, Janie, raised by her elusive billionaire father, ventures beyond her sheltered life to find the truth of her past and follow in her late mother’s footsteps. I loved Janie’s passionate spirit as she finds love, family and the truth behind her secret identity. I could not put this book down. Love this trilogy!
“Southport has a way of turning you inside out, but she’ll put you back together again in a way that’ll make you better than ever.”
"...you must always have hope, no matter what you do or how complicated or difficult life gets. Life isn’t worth living if you don’t have hope."
My emotions are all over the place after the 3rd and final book in the suspense romance Southport Series, Janie's Hope, by brilliant author S.R. Fabrico.
It's hard to summarize this novel without giving away major shocking events in the two previous books. This writer has created very defined characters that stay with you long after "The End."
Janie is a 23 year old neurodivergent genius. Home schooled for her safety, trained in self defense and very unsettled about her past. She does the one thing her father has asked her not to do...she leaves their Montana ranch alone to find out about her mother and that side of her family.
Along the way she finds DD. A stray dog that refuses to leave her side and seems to know when evil is near. Discovering the enduring love the small town of Southport has for her and her mother is almost overwhelming for Janie after her secluded life. Luckily, She meets the beyond adorable Noah to help her navigate these unknown emotions.
The first book in this series, Call Her Janie, had me angry but hopeful. The second book, Keeping Janie, just played with my heart until it was broken. This final book, Janie's Hope, healed me, but I'm a bit heartbroken to say goodbye to the Bayview Bookstore, Sand Witches and the Southport Historical Society.
I am jealous you get to experience this startling, brave and masterfully crafted series all at once. Your heart will heal quicker than mine and Janie will give you hope.
I received a free copy of this book from the author for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.
This is the much anticipated third (and final) book in the amazing Southport Series.
After reading books 1 & 2 - Call Her Janie and Keeping Janie - over the last couple of years, I've been so excited to see how this series would end .... And whether it would pull me back from the upset that book 2 left me with.
This is definitely a book that you will want to read in order with the rest of the series.
The story arc follows on through all the books and you really need to have the progression of the characters lives to fully appreciate the events of this book.
Janie, now Hope, has grown up in a sheltered world with her reclusive billionaire father - but finally needs some closure on what happened before - heading back to Southport to discover her past.
I really don't want to say too much about the plot here because it will definitely include some major series spoilers, which is hate to give.
But suffice to tell you that the storyline does send us back to Southport and all things familiar.
Janie/Hope is such a lovely character to explore here and it's a pretty emotional journey for us all.
I love the addition of Noah and the progression of this relationship.
And DD ....just 🥹
I have absolutely loved this series and the writing, characters and storyline have all been amazing!
I'm a little beyond unhappy that this has all come to an end.....but am excited to see what will come next from this author as I'm sure that whatever it is, will be amazing!.....and I'll be waiting to dive right in....
There is always sadness associated with the end of a series - at least for me. And I've been following this series since the beginning and waiting (not so patiently) for the third book to come out. And it was worth the wait.
I'm a horrible judge of whether you can read a book as a standalone. But I also just don't know why you would want to do so. Right now you can get all 3 books in the series on Kindle unlimited. Also you can request books at your library! All of these help the author!
Anyway, attempting to give a spoiler free review as is my policy, here goes! When we left off with the second book I had no idea where we could go next! It was devastating and compelling!! I needed to know what was going to happen!!
The series is Southern small town romance thriller/suspense at its best!! The first two books focus on Lizzie and the third focus on her daughter. The characters are beautiful, kind, Southern sweetness for the most part. Of course there is a villain or two, a redemption arc or two, and there is a nice spicy feature for those that enjoy a little spice with their romance.
I loved seeing some familiar beloved characters like Randy, Renee, Helen, and Josh, as well as some new ones to love like Noah and Josh. The author excels in writing complicated human relationships and growing them as needed.
I can't wait to see what the author dreams up next! She is absolutely one of my favorites!
✨✨✨✨✨✨ This one was such a great read!! What a ride it was. I finished this one in about 2 sittings and it just had me consumed. There were so many questions I had some I got answers to and others I still wonder about. Janie has seriously been through so much and she was ready to find answers and her family. That she did. Along the way she found DD her dog! Such a great little buddy she needed. The letters and words of wisdom from her mom were such a great added bonus to this book. I was so excited every time I saw one. I’m so glad Janie found the love she was looking for. This was a book to make me feel all the emotions! Overall I recommend this one.

Janie’s Hope is the final chapter in the Southport Series, where secrets from the past meet love’s redemptive power. Janie, a neurodivergent woman raised in isolation by a wealthy father, embarks on a journey to Southport to uncover the truth about her late mother, Lizzie Levine. While the warning of her father’s secrets and the lurking dangers of her hidden identity make her wary, Janie is driven by the need to learn more about the mother she never really knew. Along the way, she meets Noah, a kind-hearted and charming man who quickly falls for her. As their connection deepens, Janie’s quest for answers brings them closer, though the shadows of past mysteries threaten their budding love.
S.R. Fabrico does a remarkable job of blending a rich emotional journey with suspense and romance. I've read the previous book so I was quite excited to see how the story concludes. It’s clear that the author put thought into the relationships, especially how they evolve as Janie uncovers more of her past.
The hidden truths in this book kept me guessing, and I appreciated how they were revealed gradually, keeping the mystery alive. This is a story about second chances at love, at family, and at understanding oneself. S.R. Fabrico has created a beautifully emotional and suspenseful story that wraps up the series in a way that feels fulfilling and true to its characters.
I really love how this series ended with Hope's story. An adult now, Hope has been pretty isolated on her father's ranch in Montana. However he made sure she was education and trained to protect herself. But now she is old enough to make her own decisions, and she decides to head back to where things all started, Southport. Thousands of miles from Montana and her father. Her family in Southport can hardly believe their eyes an welcome her with open arms. She is quickly finding out why her mother loved this place so much, as well as the stories her father told her growing up. Now she is experiencing it physically even though the ache of her mother is becoming strong. As she makes friends, obtains a job and settles into this new family life, she questions her future and how she left her fathers ranch with no word where she was headed. So when she feels she is being watched and letters from her supposed mother start showing up, she isn't sure if she should be excited or scared that what her father has always protected her from might have finally found her. This was such a good ending to the series. I loved how the author wrapped everything up, brought the characters all together in this novel and left you feeling satisfied. I highly recommend this series to anyone who likes suspense novels. Thank you to the author and to Book and Wine Lovers Marketing for the tour invite. This review is of my own opinion and accord.
Janie’s Hope is the third & final book in The Southport Series and having read and loved books 1 & 2 I was both excited and apprehensive to read Janie’s Hope knowing how sad it would be for this amazing series to come to an end.
And yes, I was so sad getting to the end of this series, but it was such a brilliant ending with the author tying everything up wonderfully. This was an extremely emotive read with many many tears shed while reading it, it was beautiful & moving and I loved everything about Janie and her story, I felt so much for her as she learned about her past, family & roots. The authors writing is so powerful and atmospheric, she has a talent for drawing you into the story & setting and making you feel such a strong connection to the characters and in turn genuinely caring about them.
I really loved that the author gave us an epilogue, I felt so content turning the last page.
This was a beautiful series, one that will stay with me forever and Janie’s Hope was the perfect conclusion.
I waited a long time for this book to come out. I loved the first two. I loved the story in this one and the new characters were terrific. I loved how spunky and determined Hope is to take control of her life and seek out what happened in her past and to get to know more about her mother. I was so happy that Southport remained the treasure of a town that it truly is. My big disappointment was caused by the proofreading. I don’t expect literary masterpieces but when so many words are used in the incorrect form, there vs their for example and misspelled words that the reader actually starts to cringe it is a real problem. I hope perhaps this book can go back to editing and have a little more attention paid to it. It is a great story and I great series but a little more attention needs to be paid to the editing to take it from a 3 to a 5 in my opinion.
Unfortunately this was a difficult read in the sense from chapter 1 I knew I was t going to like it but needed to finish the series.
The author acknowledgement at the very end explains some of the reasons why I found issue with this story but from an unbiased POV these were my critics:
This third and final book was underwhelming as a closing to the series. The writing felt rushed, a lot of telling rather than showing writing, rushed plots, and many grammatical errors.
The first two books had me hooked and wanting more and this third installment fell flat. I did not connect with the characters as each scene was rushed and the story jumped from scene to scene, significant events would take place and then be rushed into another scene with out enough details.
Overall not satisfied with the ending to this series, could have left the story with the first two books and simply believing Janie (Hope) lived her life with Grey after Lizzi: death…..
Oh and the dog “being Lizzie” - so unnecessarily weird.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
4.5 stars. Janie’s Hope is the third and final book in the Southport Series. Having read the previous two books and really enjoying them, I had been looking forward to reading this one and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
In this book we follow Janie/Hope as she travels back to Southport to learn more about her mother’s family, after being raised by her father away from everyone.
I loved seeing the familiar characters from the previous books. Noah and Janie’s relationship was adorable and DD was the cutest!
I’m sad that this series has ended now. But I’ll look forward to reading what comes next from this author.
Thank you to Book and Wine Lovers Marketing for having me on the tour and for my gifted copy of the book.
If you have not read this series, it is a "must read." The 1st book set the stage with so many twist in turns. The setting takes you to a small coastal town called Southport, NC. You can feel the the serenity of the town and feel like you are walking the streets with characters in the book.
Janie's Hope is the final series and I am sad and happy at the same time. Sad there will be no more in this series but happy to find out everything come's full circle.
It is a easy read and I truly enjoyed finding that love overcomes many obstacles!
In S.R. Fabrico’s third book in the Southport Series, Janie’s Hope, we meet Janie (now known as Hope) again as an adult and follow her as she goes on a journey to find out more about her mother and meet her mother’s family.
As well as meeting all the characters we grew to love in books one and two there are some new characters to meet which keeps the narrative fresh, including the adorable DD the dog!
Book three, the final one in the Southport series, did not disappoint and I would highly recommend the series to anyone!
The third and final book in the Southport trilogy is about Hope. Hope’s mom Lizzie loved her and the first two books in the series tell her story and her fight to keep Janie safe. Fast forward to when Janie is a young adult and her name is changed to Hope is where this book starts. I was very interested to see where this series went after the second book and I’m so glad we got to learn about Janie/Hope. This is a series meant to be read in order and this book is the perfect ending.
Janie’s Hope by SR Fabrico. Southport Series book 3. I'm really enjoying this series. I did love the cover. I loved the dog scene with Hope. I liked the writing style and the story. I liked the journal entries. It was like I was reading a diary. I loved the nickname Janie bug. I did like how Noah was with Hope. This was a beautiful story. I'm sad it's ended. Everything tied so nicely together. I was surprised by some of the outcomes. I would recommend this series.
janie has spent her life protected, but when she sets out to uncover the truth about her mother, she stumbles into a world of secrets, unexpected connections, and a romance that feels like fate. noah is the perfect balance to her journey—kind, patient, and full of surprises. their story unfolds with heartfelt moments, small-town charm, and twists that keep you turning the pages.
this book is a perfect mix of mystery and romance, with deep emotional layers that stay with you long after the final chapter. If you love stories of self-discovery and second chances, Janie’s Hope is a must-read!
I’m so glad I read the first two books in the series before starting this book, book 3 the last in the Southport series.
This was a perfect conclusion to the series which really does pull on your heartstrings throughout. You could probably read this without having read the first two books but the story really is one not to be missed each book has you wanting more, it’s really sad to have got to the end. I particularly like a book with an epilogue 😍 Janie’s story is fascinating learning about her past as she grows stronger throughout the books. The characters are wonderful and really well written. It’s hard to write how good it is without giving major spoilers.
This is a suspenseful book the text place any quaint little town, Southport, North Carolina. You will not want to put this book down. This is amazing series. I cried at the end great plot. Great story was sad to see it end.
"Janie’s Hope" Ends the Series Perfectly. I enjoyed every book in this series, and this one was no exception. It had been a while since I had read the previous books, and I read a lot, so I was a little out of the loop at the beginning--but, I was able to remember pieces and fill in the gaps as Hope (Janie) filled in the pieces on her own. While this could be read as a stand-alone with the reader learning about Hope's past along with the character, I think it's best to read in order as a series so that you don't feel that you've missed things along the way. Once the highlights of the previous books came back to me and the current story fell into place, I enjoyed this book just as much as the earlier ones and found that the ending fit perfectly.
Expect Characters to Love and A Story That You Won't Want to Leave. Hope finds family and love and fills in the pieces of her past as this series comes to an end. I am always a fan of dogs in books--and I loved DD's role in this story. Expect to become attached to the characters of Southport and to Hope's story as she finds a love interest and the keys to her past in the process. While the story finds complete resolution and ends as it should, the world created by the author is one that readers will be sad to leave.
Would I Recommend "Janie's Hope" by S.R. Fabrico? This is an easy-to-read story with suspenseful moments, a little romance, and heartwarming family connections that bring a series to its end. If you enjoy family dramas with suspenseful elements and character growth, I recommend this entire series. I recommend it, especially to fans of women's fiction who enjoy family-focused stories and secrets from the past.
I received a copy of this book from the author or publisher for use in a blog review. All opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed the final book in this series (though I’m sad to see it go)! We’ve really gotten to know Janie (now Hope) well over the last few books, and this one just wrapped everything up in a nice way. It still included some mystery and a lot of romance (swoon) which I always enjoy when written well! You definitely want to read the first two before this one, as it helps you have a better understanding of Janie (Hope) and the town. While reading, I found myself wishing this place was real! Definitely don’t sit on this series!
The third and final book in S.R. Fabrico's Southport Series, Janie's Hope is a spectacular and fitting end to this fabulous series. I have thoroughly enjoyed following the journey of all of the great characters of Southport, NC from the very beginning of their stories, especially that of Lizzie and Janie. This book picks up some 20 years after the second book. Janie had to be taken away and put into hiding after the viscous murder of her mother by the psychotic Catalina Stone, the unstable wife of Janie's father Grayson Stone. Janie became Hope and lived a sheltered, protected life with her father, far away from Southport. However, at 23, she decides it's time to go back to Southport to reconnect with her mother's family. Once there, she begins to make a new life for herself. Janie's Hope is a story of love, family, strength and new beginnings. It's an emotionally compelling read that will warm your heart. The characters in the story are al entertained and play vital roles in Janie's story. The whole community was one big, loving, supportive family. Janie/Hope was the perfect characters her to be at the heart of this final story. She was strong, determined and extraordinarily human. Her thoughts and feelings were so clearly portrayed by the author that you could feel them with her. The story is beautifully written with the author's passion for the book shining through. There's also an extremely adorable dog who becomes Janie's spirit guid so to speak and seems to be the wisest of them all. We can't forget Janie's hunky new boyfriend Noah either. I can't recommend this book and series highly enough.
I really enjoy romantic Suspense novels. Janie's Hope by S.R. Fabrico is the latest book in this genre that I have read. It is Book 3 in the Southport Series. I have not read the first 2 books in this series YET, but it read well as a Stand Alone novel.
I will say the storyline started off a little dull, but by Chapter 2 I was getting into the story. The main character in this book are Janie(now know as Hope). Janie is on the search to find more about her deceased mother's life and to learn about her family heritage on her Mom's side. She was raised by her father who was a Billionaire but he spent his life in the house. Janie felt she lived a sheltered life. She meets Noah and they immediately connect and begin a friendship. Janie introduces herself to Noah as Hope. The mystery and intrigue as they begin to uncover the truth about Hope's mom has some scary moments that puts Noah and Hope in danger. The setting of a small town, Southport, NC, really excited me as I truly enjoy Small Town novels. The book has many twists and turns in the storyline, which kept me captivated. I really LOVE seeing Noah and Hope grow their relationship throughout the book. I am really wanting to read this series from beginning to end as this book was that good! The book is one of Mystery and Romance. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Romantic Suspense novels. GOOD BOOK!
I have been waiting for this book and it left me satisfied. It is book 3 in the Southport series and to fully understand and enjoy the book I recommend that you read the other books in the series. This is the story of a grown up Janie, now known as Hope, and how she discovers her past and builds her future. It is filled with familiar characters and seeing how they have changed over the years made it feel like visiting with old friends. I found Hope to be sheltered, innocent, and a bit too trusting especially after being raised to see danger everywhere. Her family are warm and supportive characters and add to the story again. It is the changes in her two fathers, Gray and Josh, that are the most striking as they dealt with what happened in the past. Southport is the perfect small town for a book complete with small local businesses and parades and is a place that I would enjoy visiting. I enjoyed and was satisfied with the way this book wrapped up the series. I recommend the series for readers that enjoy their small town stories to have mystery and danger in them.
Thanks to the author and Love Book Tours for the gifted copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I felt quite sad and nostalgic while reading Janie's Hope as I felt Lizzie's death prominently and also because I know that it is the last book of this captivating series. By the end of the book I felt a lot happier than when I started because of how it is summed up. I think it's the perfect conclusion and I even had a big smile. So this one follows grown up Janie as she needs to know more about her mother and hometown but over protective father Grey is trying to keep her safe from crazy Catalina who murdered her mother Lizzie. When Janie meets Noah they have a instant connection but Janie's past might be too much and interfere in their happy ever after. The very first page of the book had my attention and it didn't let go until the very end and even then I was still pondering it. I have loved every book in the series but this one is my favourite even though I felt saddened, it is a enchanting story.
This was a fun book and I enjoyed it. From the very first page, I was swept away by the charming small town of Southport and the depth of the characters. I loved getting to know Janie, a strong neurodivergent heroine, and following her emotional journey of self-discovery and love. Her determination to uncover the truths of her past and step beyond her sheltered world was truly inspiring. The way the author wove together suspense, passion, and the unexpected strength of a found family was nothing short of captivating. I was completely immersed in the story, feeling the emotions and challenges right alongside Janie and Noah. The blend of heartfelt romance and compelling mysteries kept me hooked until the very end.
This book truly proves that sometimes, the strongest bonds are forged in the most unexpected ways.
Thank you to @SRFabrico_author @lauren.ireadbooktours @StacyRowe1 @SRFabricoauthor for this book. All thoughts are my own.

I have been waiting forever for the third book of the Southport Series, Janie's Hope by the author. I am so excited that finally, it is here. What a beautiful end to one of my favorite series.
It took me 2 days to finish reading this book. I cannot put it down. Janie, the beautiful girl turns into a very independent and smart girl. She learns not to trust anyone besides her Dad and his employees. Freeing herself despite being alone, but not afraid to learn what happened to her Mom. This last book is so emotional and funny. Janie, who being so powerful and surrounded by people who helped her, now learns how to survive by herself. DD is such a beautiful addition to this story.
I am so sad that this beautiful series ended but I am so happy, especially for Janie. Evil doings will not last and justice will always prevail. She found her closure. Kudos to the author S. R. Fabrico, this book and the series are one of a kind.
