If you are looking for depth into a relationship building, then these novellas are not for you. They are insta love and they fall like it's nobody’s business.
I liked this one a bit more than book 1, it mostly had to do with the set up of how they meet and how flustered Lauren is after working at the lodge for 10 days and already wanting to be a manager, even though there is a massive disaster before she meets the MMC.
I might not have read the full blurb of the second one and did not know that he was going to be a virgin too! I was shocked, I wasn't expecting it and it was a nice surprise but a little bit unbelievable in the grand scheme of things.
Owen was what you expected him to be: a caveman and mountain man.
I appreciate the epilogue that gave us a long view of the future since these books are so short and we get everything at warp speed. 25 years later and they have 4 children! Breeding really was on his mind lol
Oh and the twins (receptionists) were a fun little addition, they made me laugh a lot.

Отже, я дуже рідко взагалі ставлю одну зірку, бо намагаюсь бачити в книжках найкраще скажімо так. Ця книжка повна розчарування. Почнімо з того, що головна героїня не слідкувала за рукавицями дівчинки, які поклала на батарею що висушити, і через це сталась пожежа. Інші два співробітники їй не допомогли потушити, а допоміг той, кого вона покликала, щоб він написав відгук про готель.
Потім вона поїхала до власника готелю, лоб повідомити про пожежу, і сказала, що хоче стати менеджером, хоча пропрацювала усього 2 тижні, але окей.
Містер Рейнольд хотів написати негативний відгук про готель, але його дружина та донька напосіли на нього, щоб він поставив йому п'ять зірок, але блять тільки через те, що вони врятували дитину? І тобто закрити очі на пожежу, яка була, і яку погасили не співробітники готелю, а сам містер Рейнольд.
У головного героя тестостерон б'є в голову, вирішив вломитися до відвідувача готелю, який знімав відео, де Лорен намагалась загасити пожежу, яку сама і влаштувала, він погрожував йому і застосовував до нього силу.

grumpy lodge owner meets flustered employee
And we get amazing epilogues too 👀 (Always bumps my ratings up).
Lauren’s (24) been on the job for ten days and wants to get a managerial position. She’s doing the best she can to manage any problems the lodges faces, especially because a travel magazine reviewer is currently a guest. Suddenly, there’s a hair found in a bed, a fire’s started and the fire spread, which means the owner needs to be notified. But he doesn’t have a phone, which means she has to go give him the bad news 😅😬.
Owen (36) loves being in the mountains, unplugged and away from people. He used to work in Wall Street, which is how he made so much money and bought the lodge 5 years before. He’s known as a grump; even though he’s gorgeous, people have a hard time approaching him. He’s in the middle of chopping down wood when he sees a beautiful woman appear.
Lauren’s flustered by him as she tells him what everything that happened at the lodge (and that she thinks she could be the manager) and she realizes she should be punished…
And he’s willing to do just that 👀 she deserves to be spaaaaanked 🔥 and she wants it just as badly as he does 😉.
Oh LAWD. This book 🥵🔥. It’s short, sweet, and spiiiicy. Even though Owen’s a v (😅 I found it kind of hard to believe… but anywaysss 🤣), he knows EXACTLY how to pleeeease Lauren 💦. Let’s just say, he doesn’t mind getting his beard dirty 😅. And Lauren does the same 👀.
Plus, he has a diiiirty mouth 💦. And he praises her too 🥵
I laughed many times 🤣. The front desk girls (Tina and Tiffany) were hilarious in their aloofness and innocence 🤣. When problems arise, they act like the screensaver on their computers are more interesting 🤣.
And the epilogues 🥰. I loved them. Seeing them older, happy, and hoooorny for each other is just priceless 🥹
I wish it was longer 😏 and that we got more about their histories 😅 and we saw him be more of a grump 🤣. I also found it kind of hard to believe that he was a v… but, you know what, I’m not gonna question it 🤣 just gonna sit back and enjoy it 🤡.
Overall, it was an enjoyable read.

This is book two in the Greene Mountain Boys series by Olivia T Turner. The covers on these are beautiful.
This book follows Lauren and Owen. Lauren is a twenty four year old receptionist that has only been working at the Greene Mountain Resort for ten days when she accidentally sets the reception area on fire. Now she has to drive up to her bosses home in the mountains and explain what happened. When she finally gets there she’s in for a surprise. Owen is not only her boss but he is also the owner of the resort in question. Not to mention drop dead gorgeous. The sparks that fly between them are instantaneous.
I am slowly making my way through this series. These are cozy comfort reads with little to no drama. Ever so often it’s really nice to get a break from third act breakups and other major issues. That is where these books, and others like it, come in for me. Plus I absolutely love a good mountain man book.
I enjoyed this novella a lot, by the end of chapter three I was laughing out loud. I’d have to say that was my favorite chapter in the entire book. Though the heat that unfolds later on is just as good. 😉

definitely a cheesefest with absurd plot, but i dig it. i think the workplace romance trope was sort of nonsense cuz they were both unprofessional and horny 😂
owen (36) was the owner of the lodge where lauren (24) was working. but a lot of misfortune happened during the arrival of a hotel reviewer and lauren really wanted to impress him to promote the lodge. since everything went out of control, she has to inform owen about all these accidents. she went to his house and they both got instant attraction when they saw each other.
i think what i enjoyed here was the fact that after the insta-lust they didn't get married right away unlike the couple from the first book 😂 for a novella, spending 6 weeks together before tying the knot is somehow an achievement hahaha. they were both obsessed but at least waited for awhile to finally seal the deal.
anyway, this was fun, didn't expect the 25 years later for the epilogue but it was really sweet.

I just love there short, sweet and steamy reads. There is a time for complicated and angst and there is a time for this. I love this series and author!
Lauren has not long been at the Lodge but she loves it there and is working hard to get to a point where she feels she can apply for the managerial position. There is just the matter of some people who never seem to be happy unless they are complaining. She is also trying to make sure everyone is happy which leads to some mittens causing a fire, which she has to go tell her boss about, in person because that is the kind of girl that she is. Owen stiffled in Manhattan while putting away as much money as he could as fast as he could so he could get out of the financial rat race. He's where he feels he can breathe now but he also feels as though he is in limbo just waiting for something. He's not sure what that something is until it drives right up to his front door and admits to setting his lodge on fire. Except when Lauren leaves he realises that she has set him on fire too and there is little hope of it ever going out.

Olivia made me want to escape to a mountain top getaway with a hunky lumberjack with this deliciously spicy tale and I need more - so much more!

Owen & Lauren’s chemistry was 🔥 I really enjoyed the lodge setting and the whole magazine journalist coming in to write a story on the place. Lauren has only been working for Owen at the lodge for 10 days and still manages to set the receptionist area on fire. Not only that but it was in front of the journalist 🤦🏻♀️ From the moment Owen laid eyes on Lauren she was his. Period. I think that’s what I love about these mountain men novellas. Mountain men are protective and possessive and I eat that up!!!

It wasn’t a favourite like the first,but it was still good.
I did get a mild ick,because Lauren is an employee of Owen,but remembered that the story would finish soon.
The characters didn’t feel as emotionally connected as the first pair either.
The smut was quite good though.
And the 25 year into the future epilogue felt like a filler for pages.

This was a wonderfully OTT steamy yet sweet book. I really enjoyed Lauren and Owen together. Lauren has a bit of a bumpy start with working for Owen but he is able to overlook it because he has finally found his woman. Lots of steam in this book but also sweetness and a great HEA. I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait for more from Olivia.

I again LOVED this book and this series and the author. If she writes it it is going to be amazing

Lauren works at a beautiful lodge and wants to be a manager there. But a small accident that a hotel critique saw and a fire threaten her career. So she has to inform the owner, the reclusive mountain man Owen. Owen retired at 31 in the mountains but always stayed alone, until he meets Lauren. My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.
How do you explain to your very hot new boss all the mishaps that happened in one afternoon and ask for a promotion?
Lauren can tell you how. She’s on her way to Owen’s cabin to explain the mishaps and ask for a promotion, never mind that’s she’s only been working at Green Mountain Lodge for 10 days. Determined to be successful at her new job she takes initiative and comps the most expensive suite to a travel writer, then unfortunately set his lobby on fire, and has to give a full refund to a complaining guest, who witnesses the fire, that the travel writer puts out.
The exchange she has with Owen is hilarious, he’s super hot and she’s severely tongue tied around him. He’s equally captivated by her and is amused by her ramblings and not really worried about the mishaps and the possibility of the travel writer giving the lodge a bad review.
To be fair to her she does find him shirtless chopping wood, what woman can resist ogling a mountain man lumberjack?
“So… Sorry to bother you with the bad news,” I say as I walk backward. I slip on some wet ice and recover with an awkward laugh. “I’ll fix the wreckage from the fire and order a new copier. You stay here and finish your vacation chopping wood… shirtless… with no underwear on… I mean…” Shit! This is going horribly wrong. Why isn’t my damn brain working? It’s all muddled up in there.
“I’ll take care of the mess and you stay here and play with your wood.” I close my eyes, slowly dying inside as I back away. “I mean, I’ll fix the lodge. Nothing to worry about. It was nice meeting you and I look forward to working under you. On top of you!” My cheeks are so hot they’re melting. “Not that I’m going to be riding on top of you or anything. That would be inappropriate.”
Stop talking! Just stop fucking talking!!
Owen returns to work the next day and finds Lauren has already set to right most of the damage to the reception area. He finds her in the basement, not able to resist her they flirty banter and she says she should be punished for all the trouble, he suggests spanking. Things get heated but they are interrupted by an employee, a little girl has been hurt on one of the trails and her mom need help. They head off to find the hikers and Owen carries the little girl back to the lodge.
Things get very hot and heavy after her interview, they are celebrating Lauren getting the manager position. She has many great ideas for the lodge so of course he gives her the job. Unable to help themselves they rush back to his house and have their first time together, it’s hot and steamy, plus bonus, dual virgins!
The next day at checkout the travel writer is telling them he did not like the service when his wife and daughter walk up to reception, they are both excited to see Lauren and Owen. The little girl Owen carried down the mountain was the writer’s daughter. The wife and daughter tell him he better write them a great review since he had his phone off and didn’t know their daughter was hurt.
Epilogues six weeks later with a great review in the travel magazine and Owen proposing and 25 years later with four kids who all work at the lodge and Lauren and Owen still enjoy sexy times at the lodge.

Truly 5 Stars
I've read several of Olivia Turner's books now. Including the 1 st in this series. They are all stand alone books and around 100-120 pages each. They're short, sweet, insta-love, steamy, reads. There is usually a virgin FMC, but in this one the MMC is too. He is a total sexy mountain man alpha as well. The MFC is named Lauren and the MMC is named Owen. Owen owns a resort lodge on Green Mountain. He was a stock broker in NY. He made enough money to buy the lodge, renovate it, and build his dream home. Further up the mountain. The only thing missing is the love of his life followed by hopefully a family. In waltzes Lauren, well more like she sets things a blaze 😆😆 Lauren has been at the lodge for about a week. She's aiming for the manger position. She's been paying close attention to how things are run and what could be changed to make it more efficient. She has yet to meet her boss, but has heard a lot about him. She's curious to know if he really is as drop dead gorgeous as the other employees say. Lauren is trying her best to keep things running smoothly on this current day. She's done something that may get her into a little trouble with the new boss, but if it pays off. Things should work out fine and she'll have that manager position for sure. She's comped the most expensive suite in the lodge without getting the bosses approval first. She did it as part of the incentive package to get the top travel magazine to do and article and hopefully a 5 Star review of the lodge. The magazine is sending their top reviewer and his family. He's about to arrive, and Lauren has her hands full. There's an unhappy guest complaining. A little girl with wet mittens needing help, and the twins that work with her at reception are no help. Lauren is trying to make everyone happy when in walks the reviewer. A few seconds later and the area behind the reception desk is in flames! Now that the fire is finally out with not too much damage. The guests are relatively happy again. Lauren is on her way up the mountain to tell the boss what happened. The boss, Owen, is up at his house close to the top of the mountain. Hopefully Lauren can explain this well enough she's at least able to keep her job.
Owen is smitten with Lauren right away. Lauren is flustered by him and finds out he is drop dead gorgeous. You'll have to read it to find out what else happens.
These two were made for each other. It was easy to slip into this story and get lost in their relationship, the problems at the lodge, and the beautifully described mountains. I could feel the emotions from Owen especially. Lauren was a little harder to feel her emotions at first, but became easier as the book went on. I really enjoyed this story and will definitely be adding it to my read again list. Hope you enjoy it too!

Lauren has been working for the Greene Mountain Lodge for 10 days and she wants to become the manager. Lauren is at the front desk with Tina and Tiffany when a guest comes over to complain. Then a little girl came in and complained about her mittens being wet. Lauren put the mittens on the radiator but she forgot about them. Lauren had scheduled the best room for a travel reviewer Mikey Reynolds who works for The Luxury Traveller Magazine. While Lauren is checking in Mikey and his family and she was dealing with Mrs. Carter and her stray hair the mittens caught fire. Lauren had to go to the owner who lives on the mountain, he has no phone, to tell him about what happened. Owen is the owner of The Greene Mountain Lodge. He use to live and work in Manhattan but that’s all he did there and he made a lot of money. He never wanted to date women in New York and he never thought about dating in Montana. Owen is chopping wood when a beautiful woman comes to his cabin. He is instantly in love. Lauren told Owen what happened and then she left. Owen shows up at the lodge and finds Lauren downstairs looking to replace things that got damaged in the fire. Lauren is very attracted to Owen she has never felt this before. Owen ends up punishing Lauren for the fire and she enjoys the spanking. There is an emergency that breaks them apart. A little girl has sprained her ankle and her mother needs help getting her down the mountain. Owen carries her down the mountain and gets medical help for her. Lauren is worried about Mikey giving the lodge a bad review. Both Owen and Lauren are virgins and they feel like they are meant to be together. Will Lauren get the manager job? Will Owen talk Lauren into moving in with him? Will Mikey give the lodge a bad review or will he change his mind after he hears about Owen carrying his daughter down the mountain? Will Owen and Lauren become a couple in love? Will Owen and Lauren find a happy ever after together at The Greene Mountain Lodge?
