Bidding On You: A One-Size Does Not Fit All Aroace Spectrum Romance

Rate this book
Qi Jiang-Heading into the last quarter of my senior year, I have all my ducks in a row. Ever since watching the world turn its back on my sibling for being queer, I knew what I wanted to do with my life. I've been accepted to my dream university to pursue a law degree to become a human rights lawyer.
I have everything figured out, except my love life. My friends keep pushing me to date people but there's never a spark. At the beginning of my senior year I figured out I'm on the ace spectrum, most likely a cupioromantic aceflux. But I have more important things to worry about right now.
I've stopped trying to date. Told my friends to quit setting me up, so how did I go from raising awareness for queer youth at a charity event to being auctioned off to a guy who looks like a locker-room pinup?

Tristan Donovan-Money, power, prestige. All-American high school quarterback right here. Just got accepted to one of the most elite universities in the country. Nepotism-sure as hell looks like it, but no, actually not so much. There's the mask I wear at school, and then the few who know who I really am underneath. I'd like to think there's more to me than what meets the eye, but I've shut myself down for so long I don't know anymore.
Until I see him, and then everything changes. Love at first sight? Don't believe there's enough of a connection for that to be verifiable. Lust at first sight? Don't think that works for someone who has never really felt lust. So then, maybe soulmate recognition? I don't know how else to explain how I become instantly drawn to a stranger, but here I am. And when his friends put three dates with him up for auction, there's no way I'm about to lose the chance to get to know him.

Join Tristan and Qi on a journey of learning there are a million ways to be on the asexual spectrum but only one way to be uniquely themselves in this sweet and swoony low-angst romance with an aceflux MC who has a demiromantic awakening and the other MC who has a pan-greyrose awakening. Expect cute dates, honest confessions, lots of blushes, tons of support and lots of love. There are a few spicy scenes, but there is a higher emphasis on intimacy.

***Please note this book was originally published under my old Pen Name Kandyce Marie. When I came out as agender, I decided to make my brand and pen name more gender-neutral to be a reflection of who I am as an individual as well as an author.

I’m a neurodivergent, agender, and aegorose queer romance author. My pronouns are they/them. I would love to say I’m a low-angst author, but I rarely leave the mental health rep out of my stories long enough to achieve that. However, I, at the very least, can guarantee all my stories are loaded with swoon-worthy moments & have an HEA!

I write different genres of romance, from sweet fluff romances to dark supernatural romances to thematic relationship romances. My stories have high heat and lots of fluff, mixed with dark plots that thrive on hurt/comfort and rebuilding characters' mental well-being.

I am ridiculously socially awkward and have a hard time connecting with people, no matter how hard I try. I love when people reach out to me, but I have the conversational skills of a wet rag; luckily, that particular hindrance doesn’t translate to my characters. I am forever grateful to be here and to write these stories and to find fellow authors and readers who love the queer side of life as much as I do!!!

A well-done introspection of the complexity that is the asexuality spectrum. We have two late teens who are just figuring out who they are and what their sexuality means to them both. Both characters are uniquely complex and different yet similar at the same time. For those readers who don't really understand the ace spectrum, I highly recommend giving this book a shot. It will help you better understand how different each person is. As others have stated their is a lot of introspection, but they are late teens, so it works for these characters more than with older characters who generally understand themselves better by that age. My first from this author and if they keep up with this writing will not be my last

I recently wrote a book with ace representation and one of the best compliments that readers gave me was that they felt seen.

Well, Kandyce Marie, Tristan & Qi made me feel seen! 🖤🩶🤍💜 Not necessarily because I learned new things about myself in terms of sexuality but because they solidified for me that I belong on the spectrum and it doesn’t mean I’m wrong or less.

When Kandyce Marie chooses the sub title “A One Size Does Not Fit All Asexual Spectrum Romance” it’s true. Tristan and Qi bring different experiences to the table and they both view sexuality and attraction differently. But they both have one important thing in common: They are curious and open-minded.

Especially Tristan is on a road of discovery and awakening. His approach is one of the most endearing and relatable I’ve read in a long time. I fell for him from the very first chapter and I wish I could bottle up his energy and bring it with me every day.

Qi on the other hand is a bit more reserved and again sees attraction as something which is not a given thing. He already knows he’s on the ace spectrum but that doesn’t mean that he isn’t on a journey too. Just a different one. I have so much love for Qi.

What I enjoyed immensely were the conversations between these two. They actually communicate! They do not assume and they do not judge. They let their instincts guide them and their hearts show the way. It added to the building love story and made for excellent character development.

Kandyce Marie enjoys writing—that much is evident. And it translates to the reader from start until finish. Despite the subject matter I didn’t once feel like I was reading a text book about asexuality. Because Tristan and Qi are so engaging, the writing is stunning and it’s filled with emotional depth.

This was my first book by this author but it will definitely not be the last. Bidding On You is a small masterpiece in its own right. With the story of Tristan and Qi the author offers a unique and valid contribution to not only ace literature but to queer fiction in general.

Loved it! All the stars 🖤🩶🤍💜

When I first read this book I fell in love with it, and then I read it a second time and loved it even more.

It's not often that an author will make showing the nuances of Asexuality a prominent focus in a story, will a side character be under the ace umbrella? Yeah, absolutely. And I've read some really amazing ones too! But will both MC's be under the Ace umbrella, and it be the main focus of the story... Not usually. At least, I haven't come across another story similar to this one. Kandyce prioritized what it's like being a member of the ace community and all the angst and overthinking that comes with it, along with how sexuality fluctuates and can change overtime.

This story is about Qi and Tristan who are both in high school and are exploring what their sexuality means to them, and how that presents for them. I loved all the introspective thinking, and how both of these MC's prioritizes communication. When I read this story, I felt seen. I felt as though I was reading MY journey with Asexuality. The writing was just beautiful, and I appreciated how Kandyce had both Qi and Tristan explain not only what their sexualities are but also what their sexuality means to them. That gave room to not just better understand and connect to the characters, but it also helped explain what those sexualities are and what they can mean for people who identify as those sexualities... If someone is is unfamiliar with the various sexualities and nuances that fall under the Asexual umbrella, I'm sure that they'll be able to learn more about them when they read this beautiful and thought provoking story.

I will say I adore Tristan, don't get me wrong, I love Qi too, but Tristan is giving off the whole 'Golden Retriever energy.' He's determined to win Qi over but he's respectful in doing so, he's not forcing anything on Qi, he's just trying to prove himself to the other man who has captivated him. I love both of these characters, and their story is fantastic!

Something else that I truly love and really appreciated is how much intimacy the these two lovely characters have with each other without it being focused on steamy scenes. Intimacy is so much more than spicy times and that was showcased beautifully throughout this story.

Now the side characters I found to be excellent as well. Were they as fleshed out and as detailed as the MC's? No, but that's okay because they are still great... Well, Qi's friends aren't so great but that's because of their behavior in the story, not because of how they are written. I'm excited for the next story in this series, I'm looking forward to the next book.

Here's a moment in the story that resonated with me; ''The closeness, the emotion, the kisses, the cuddling, just being close to him. Those are all higher up the food chain for me than sex is.'''

This too; ""I honestly thought I was cupioromantic, because I wanted a romantic relationship. I just never felt romantic attraction.""

I've been here myself, and I'm still questioning where I fall in the Asexuality scale of things. That's what's so beautiful about this story is it taught me about sexualities that I wasn't completely familiar with prior to reading, and I love that I learned something new. Especially when it resonates so profoundly.

Kissing, cuddling, and sleeping are all we did for about twenty-four hours after we made our relationship official. Not even gonna pretend like those weren’t the best twenty-four hours of my life.

Bidding on You by Kandyce Marie is the first book I read by this author and it has been a refreshing and heartfelt read. What I loved most was how it explores the asexual spectrum while still being a sweet, slow-burn romance. I don’t know much about asexuality, so reading a book where both main characters are on the spectrum really helped me understand it better.

I’ve always assumed that my lack of pursuing or wanting to pursue a romantic relationship or have s*x with an individual person in the past has been because I was turned off by the vapidity and narrowmindedness of the people that I’m normally around.

Bidding on You is the story of Tristan and Qi, two high school seniors figuring out their feelings, attraction, and relationships in a way that’s different from the romance books I usually read. It deals with different experiences within the ace spectrum, showing that attraction and intimacy aren’t the same for everyone.

The closeness, the emotion, the kisses, the cuddling, just being close to him. Those are all higher up the food chain for me than s*x is.

Tristan is outgoing, determined, and has that “Golden Retriever” vibe. He is all in from the start, but he’s patient and respectful, letting Qi figure things out at his own pace. While Qi is more reserved, thoughtful, and cautious. They openly talk about their feelings, boundaries, and what they want. Their communication is amazing, and it was really nice to see a relationship where emotional connection and understanding take centre stage.

“I don’t really think I see you any differently on a romantic level, but maybe more like on a squish level. I’ve never had a squish before, but after analyzing the pull I feel towards you, I think maybe that’s what this is. It's like you're my favorite person right now. Texting you is my favorite part of the day, and I want to spend all my time with you. Just to be close to you, I guess. But it doesn't feel like a crush. There's no desire to do anything more than just hangout, you know.”

The book delves deeply into self-discovery and the character’s journey feel so real and relatable. I also loved that it wasn’t just about romance. It’s about figuring out who you are and what you want, which is something so many people can connect with.

I honestly thought I was cupioromantic, because I wanted a romantic relationship. I just never felt romantic attraction.

If you’re looking for a story with ace-spec rep, great character growth, and all the soft, emotional moments, this is definitely one to check out!

I’ve loved you since before I could breathe, since the moment they wrote us in the stars and prophesied our existence.

I received an ARC from the author for free, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.

These guys felt far more mentally mature than most 18 year olds aside from their internal angsting about being on the asexual spectrum and what it meant for their budding relationship. Every single conversation felt extremely heavy and important both between them and with the side characters. While I did like the story and characters, it felt preachy a lot, and I got bogged down by new terminology and deep conversations. I really longed for some lighter scenes like seeing them geeking out over animated movies or chatting about random stuff while hiking. Don't just tell me about things they like, show them doing those things. I also got confused about when they got together during their senior year because at one point Qi's mom is suggesting Tristan spend New Year's with them in January but then later it says they'd only been together for a month or so before they went to Prom together right after declaring themselves official boyfriends. I also had a hard time understanding why they were 18 so early in their senior year when they're such good students. Usually turning 18 so early in the school year as a senior would indicate being held back at some point unless their parents started them in kindergarten a year early. Another thing that confused me was during the epilogue when it mentions that Tristan stopped playing football after his 4 years of undergrad, which is normal as grad students aren't eligible to play (and I know this as a non-fan), but that he took over as first string quarterback when his friend Gio had graduated with his doctorate. I'm thinking that had to have been a mistake because not only would he not have been eligible after his four undergrad years, but he wouldn't have survived medical school while playing football. The liklihood of Gio surviving an athletic team's schedule as a pre-med student was already a ludicrous idea as it was. It's also stated that Qi is still on the cheerleading team even though it's been 6 years since his freshman year. While I don't know if the cheerleading squad has the same elgibility rules as other athletic teams, I would assume he wouldn't have the time once he was in law school rather than pre-law anyhow.

This is not your typical romance. Unique, but *not* a “trying too hard” kind of unique. Very, very enjoyable.

This starts as insta-infatuation rather than insta-love or insta-lust, just on one side. The other MC, not so insta, more of a “well, I don’t instantly dislike you or find you annoying.” 😆

The two main characters are in their late teens, which makes the *very* extensive inner monologuing a lot more understandable and enjoyable than it might otherwise be. It is actually not something I usually go for, at least not when the characters are adults. (Maybe that’s what people mean when they criticize a book for “too much telling and not enough showing?” IDK, I’m not a writer and am not that great at critiquing, if you haven’t already guessed 😆.)

Another thing that makes their deep introspection work is that these are two highly intelligent, hard-working and (mostly) very motivated high school seniors. So also not one of those books where the 6 year old has the attitudes and intellect of a 20 year old, other than the occasional reversion to baby talk. The MCs’ behaviors and attitudes are consistent.

Anyway, I genuinely liked both main characters as well as supporting characters, who obviously weren’t as well-developed but were still three dimensional. I liked the pacing of the book, is neither rushed nor too slow. It’s dual POV and I enjoyed the fact that the author didn’t evenly alternate chapters. Multiple Tristan perspectives or multiple Qi, according to what worked for the story.

Their respective journeys of self discovery were detailed, no doubt about it. Again: a LOT of introspection and self reflection. Also research and seeking support from others. It really works. Two very different experiences on the ace and aro spectrums, and how the MCs navigate sexuality with themselves as well as each other. This depth of insight is rare, in my experience.

Also - the end of the book sets up future books, but there’s no cliffhanger, just a teaser.

I don't even know if I'll do this book justice with my review. I received this book as an ARC. I wasn't sure how much I'd like it because I tend to love high spice in my books and then suddenly, here I am questioning my own sexuality. This story hit me so personally. It reminds me of me and my partner. I think I'm going to have to do some much needed research, but I'm suddenly thinking I may be on the ace spectrum.

I loved their story. I loved how they grew to love each other in different ways. I love fated soulmates... So the whole "written in the stars" had me nearly in tears. Seeing them grow and learn about themselves together was amazing. And it's nice to have a book where everyone around them (mostly) is super accepting and cool. And I loved seeing the other m/m pairs slowly be made throughout the book. Can't wait to read about them 😉

But I just really adored this book. It all made me feel so warm and mushy inside. And I liked how things were explained. Asexuality has always been a slightly overwhelming spectrum for me to understand but now I feel like I understand it so much better and may actually be on it...

Also the handful of spicy scenes in the book were to die for. I feel like the spice scenes were written like poetry... The entire book was just written beautifully but especially 🌶️. I'm so happy I got the opportunity to read this book and can't wait to read about the others. Definitely recommend this book and you'll certainly learn a thing or two from it.

My favorite chapter was definitely their first kiss and six years later~ But seeing how they worked out makes me feel my normal with my partner so thank you Kandyce for writing this. Also as an aside, I love Qiang, as a fellow non-binary it's great to see us represented. 🖤 I'm especially excited to read about them and Marcus.

Anyway, read this book!

Bidding On You ARC Review:

Qi and Tristan 💜

When Tristan sees Qi for the first time, he feels inexplicably drawn towards him. After winning a charity auction for three dates with Qi, Tristan asks Qi for a chance at seeing if something could build between them by going on these dates. Both young men are aware they fall on the asexual spectrum, but they are still trying to figure out in what combination of the myriad of ways one could identify with feels right for them individually. With complete transparency, the two start to get to know one another and see where their relationship leads.

This book was a deep dive into the facets of the asexual spectrum all while being told a beautiful and adorable love story between Qi and Tristan. The introspective conversations and internal dialogue gave each of them so much depth that I loved getting to see. Qi and Tristan were so open and honest with each other that it was just as stunning to witness as watching their love bloom into something that is perfect for them.

Qi and Tristan’s love story was indeed built around intimacy and the ways that grew and evolved as they grew closer. Seeing how even their loved ones evolved over time was also just as wonderful. I am thrilled this won’t be the last I see of this cast of characters! Bidding On You was a beautifully sweet book that I am thrilled to have read. The representation included in this world is handled with so much palpable care that I teared up from time to time.

Magnificent!

I absolutely love this book. I have, or had, very little understanding of Asexuality, or anything else that comes under the Asexual spectrum. I found this book to be very educational, and the author to have an extensive understanding of this subject.
This is the story of Tristan and Qi, both 18 year old young men. Although, I generally think of 18 year old males, as boys. Tristan saw Qi at a music festival, and was instantly attracted to him, and proceeded to track him down over the next 6 months. It wasn’t until he met Qi, spent some time with him, and started reading about Asexuality, that he recognised similarities in himself.
They both look upon each other as being gorgeous, but it was through their communication, and listening to each other, that they found, that they were also beautiful on the inside. The dialogue between the boys is humorous, and very mature for boys their age. They are both so respectful of each other, especially Tristan, giving Qi the time to come to terms with their relationship.
This book is very well written, thought provoking , and it held my interest from the first page.
I love both Tristan and Qi, their friends and their families. I am really looking forward to reading the other books in this series. I found Kandyce Marie to have a great depth of knowledge on the subject, and her writing to be extraordinary.

The moment Tristan's eyes landed on QI, he was a goner and from that moment I was drawn into a beautiful love story.
I read books because I love stories, but I also read to learn and whilst I have some understanding , the detailed descriptions of Tristan and Qi's story was informative without the feeling that you are being talked down to and I found myself immersed into their story. The unique way that Tristan finally spoke to Qi, had me excited to see if he would get his wish of dating him. The communication between them made me forget they were young, as from the start they worked together to get the relationship they wanted and not what other's expected. Watching how they fell in love. There was some beautiful scenes which I do not want to spoil by mentioning. The camaraderie between their parents and friends at times had me laughing, and I could tell just how much love they all had for each other. The scenes between Qi and Qiang, showed just how close they were as siblings and Marcus and Dylan where two of my favourite BFs that I have read in a while. With a lot of teasers of the next book I am looking forward to reading it, as from the moment they met I wanted their story.
As for Bidding on You this is a story I will reread as I loved Tristan and Qi's story so much

Great start to a new series!

I loved Bidding on You by Kandyce Marie. I loved Tristan and Qi's story. I loved watching Qi navigate his identity and sexual orientation and that he had his older brother, Qiang, as an example of how it can fluctuate and change and that that is okay. I loved that Qiang was there to remind Qi about how important communication is between friends and partners. I was a little bit overwhelmed by the author's note at the beginning and almost didn't read the book because of it. I'm glad I did but I'm not sure that the note was needed. The author did a great job of having the characters explain and show us what being asexual and on the spectrum looks and feels like to them. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in the series when they come out.

I read this book using the Kindle unlimited app.

Gorgeous

This is such a beautiful story. Both guys are so sweet, especially Tristan. They are so thoughtful and considerate of each other. Tristan is such a hopeless romantic, and I adore him for it.

I love how Tristan researched what being ace means, because he wanted to be a safe space for Qi. In doing the research, he learned about himself as well.

“Thing is, I want him to be comfortable with me, regardless of where this goes. I want to make sure that I’m a safe space for him, and I can’t do that if I don’t at least understand the basics, right?”

I was surprised and in awe of just how open and honest they were with each other right from the start.

The book is educational and insightful, but in an organic way, not like a lecture or textbook. It’s just part of the story. This will be a definite reread for me.

How can the author portray such a hard journey in such a beautiful way is beyond me. I loved every second of this story, even though Qi’s immature” friends with their so-called pranks drove me nuts. I wanted to yell at them and say “Open your eyes! Your attitude and behavior is hurting someone you claim is your friend!” But that’s part of the beauty of this story. And the constant, open communication is so refreshing! There aren’t many books that represent subjects so near and dear to my heart, and this one is one of them. I loved being seen, and how one size truly doesn’t fit all, but this book is one that I think everyone can enjoy. Also, something awesome is the fact that the author spent time explaining the terms used throughout the book, as well as pronunciation guide.

Bidding on You is one of the most beautifully written love stories that I've ever read. I adored both Qi and Tristan from the very beginning and only grew to love them more as their story progressed. I love the openness and vulnerability that they shared with one another from the beginning. They were always so sweet and supportive of each other. I appreciated the in-depth look into both Qi and Tristan's thoughts and feelings, making me truly care about these characters and their journey. The book was extremely helpful and informative regarding different identities within the Ace spectrum. And I loved both MCs' families, both biological and chosen. This one had me smiling, laughing, and crying throughout (sometimes all three at the same time). I cannot recommend this book enough and will absolutely be reading the rest of this series as the books are released! Strong 5/5 stars!

Qi and Tristan are truly meant for each other in every way. I love that Tristan knew from the moment he saw Qi that they were destined to be together and didn’t hesitate to bid on a date.

This book is a perfect example of why representation matters. Throughout the story, you’ll encounter diverse expressions of asexuality and see how deep, loving, and fulfilling relationships can be for those who identify as Ace.

I highly recommend this book—not only is the story compelling and emotionally resonant, but it also does a fantastic job of portraying Ace relationships with authenticity and heart.

This book gave a good insight to being ace and the different spectrums of ace. I liked the characters and that their romance was aloud to take time. The story was partly slow and very introspective. I liked to get to know both main characters thoughts and inner dialogue about their sexuality. I also liked their communication and thoughtfulness. The story didn’t have as much intrigues as many books have and that was fine by me. I liked how sensitive it was to the topics. I just wish the pace had been a bit faster.

This was an interesting book. I knew almost nothing about this part of sexuality, but the topic was well handled. The two MCs were very realistic and likable. Tristan is attracted to Qi after a chance meeting, so when he gets a chance to bid for 3 dates with him at a charity auction, he goes for it. The two come from different worlds and different schools, but they manage to get to know each other while navigating their different sexualities. The side characters are also interesting and I could see then having their own books. This is the first book I've read by this author and I look forward to more.

A sweet story of Tristan; who is instantly attracted to Qi on seeing him, and Qi, who has no idea.
These two males come to terms on what they need and how to cope with these feelings.
Tristan is so patient, throughout this book, with Qi and allows Qi to become aware of his needs too.
This book explores varying aspects of people's sexuality and the spectrums that humankind should be aware of, and supporting of.
I found this book very well written, totally interesting, entertaining, low angst and also, for me, educational.

A low-angst, New Adult novel about finding yourself in love, no matter what form it might take. From an author with a deep understanding of the nuances of various a-spec identities, this is a great read for anyone looking for a-spec representation, questioning their place on the spectrum, or wanting to better understand the people in their life. Between sweet and steamy exploration and trial that sometimes ends in error, this slow burn romance had me giggling and kicking my feet the whole way through.

I must admit being of an age I had to Google some of the sexuality terms used as I was not fully conversant with them and I got a very basic description! However reading this book really helped me understand all the nuances and the personal feelings as well as impact it has on your life. An exceptionally well written storyline that had a the feels and was thoroughly entertaining as well as enlightening. Highly recommend.

A truly beautiful story with some of the best asexual representations I've ever read. The MCs were really mature and amazingly respectful of each other. Their ability to communicate and their openness was impressive. As a queer person who is also on the aro/ace spectra, I wish this sort of books were available when I was younger. It would have made such a difference. This book, which shows so well what their orientation actually means to them instead of just explaining definitions, will undoubtedly help awareness and understanding.

I struggled to finishing this book

While this had the chance of being a beautiful ace rep book, to me it just missed the mark…I’m not a fan of books that feel the need to define or mention the point in every other sentence. It seemed like every page explicitly mentioned the characters were ace. Every chapter had so many different terminologies in it that it needed to define each every single time. The book felt more like I was reading a dictionary on the ace terms with examples rather than what was supposed to be a love story with characters who happen to be ace.

This is by far one of the BEST and sweetest books about ace relationships I have ever read. Because we have two MCs on different parts of the ace-spectrum, we get multiple perspectives on what it’s like to be asexual and how it affects our relationships. This is such a wonderful book for those of us who are on the ace spectrum and those who are interested in learning more. I loved this book so much and I know it’s one I will revisit again for the simple comfort of it.

Bidding on You is a sweet story that explores the growing relationship of two young men on sides of the Ace spectrum that are not often explored. This is a story that seeks to create awareness as well as entertain, and both are well done. If you like low-angst New Adult romance, this book is well worth your time. Enjoy!

Beautiful

This was a wonderful exploration of the asexuality umbrella and everything that falls underneath it.
Qi and Tristan were so sweet and cute together.
I really appreciated how the author portrayed their introspective nature and the fact that they were so open and communicative.

A BEAUTIFUL AND UNIQUELY FANTASTIC READ.

I loved the in-depth look into these characters. The way the story was written is so amazing. The interactions and dialogue between Qui and Tristan are very good. This is a special read and definitely a reread for me.

DNF @ 2% - Okay, okay, I know I've barely started, but I don't think I can read a book with the word "I's" in it, omg. (Also this does not feel like the voice of an 18yo football-playing college student.)

Bidding on You is a heartwarming MM romance that beautifully explores identity, self-discovery, and unexpected connections. Qi Jiang, a determined aceflux senior with big dreams of becoming a human rights lawyer, never thought love would be part of his plan. But when his friends auction him off at a charity event, he meets Tristan Donovan, the popular quarterback with his own hidden struggles. The way they communicate with each other was so refreshing to see. Normally teen relationships are full of misunderstandings and assumptions that lead to unnecessary drama. Qi was patient with Tristan, giving him the space he needed to figure himself out. Their bond strengthens as they explore their sexuality and how it makes them feel intimately. For Qi and Tristan is more than a physical thing, it’s a deeper connection between them. Their relationship isn’t based on just the sex but about understanding each other’s feelings regarding their sexuality. Great character growth, emotional moments and lots of cuddles.

Bidding on You is the first book in a new series by Kandyce Marie, who is a new to me author. This is a sweet, low angst book that I really enjoyed.
