Loved this!!

I loved this story of Sydney and Declan!! They've been secretly fooling around for a while now. Declan wants more, Sydney does not. As Declan talks with Sydney, he knows something is holding her back. An unfortunate storm, or fortunate depending on how you look at it, hits and they get trapped for days together. That turns the tide. She gives the relationship a chance and confesses her reasons for pushing him away. I love these two together. I love this book and series. I highly recommend! I am going to miss the Skye family. But I definitely need more of Heart Falls!!

Great ending for the Skye brothers. Declan and Sydney are great

Sydney's clinic is being funded by her very controlling grandfather and his rules state that she can't have any distractions of the relationship kind. But secretly she has been seeing Declan for booty calls for the last year. But what will happen when they both start having feeling and he realizes he is now ready for a relationship for the first time since his wife died? Will she jeapordize her clinic funding to be with him? What will she do for funding if she does?

There was a lot of drama in this one. Some foisted on people, some weird things that happened. What was great was seeing the 3 brothers stick together and deal with things as they came their way. From helping out the a couple of people that came to the ranch and now are family, to the community as needed.

Declan and Sydney had an interesting journey to get where they needed to be by the end of the book. I was glad when Sydney finally shared why she was holding herself back a bit from Declan and how she didn't care any more, that he was worth more than that.

3.5 stars as I just didn’t grow to love Sydney.
Always a pleasure to read a book by this author, though this wasn’t one of my favourites.
And though I cannot say I was a fan of Sydney, in this her story with Declan, I loved being with the wonderful characters of High Water and of everything that transpires in this book.
I found her behaviour and thinking weak due to her grandfather’s manipulations and her adamant attitude about not getting pregnant, ever.
As a doctor with a few years under her belt, she should know better than to allow one bad pregnancy experience, (even the death of her friend in medical school), to affect her knowledge and judgment.
Declan was absolutely rock solid and wonderful. Loved him.
His gradual recovery from the grief over the death of his wife was believable and his acceptance that she would always hold a piece of his heart truthful.
His steadfast beliefs and support to those he called family was strong and steady, as proven with Jinx’s comfortable behaviour and Logan’s trust in asking for help.
Not quite sure what about Sydney drew him as I don’t feel they were friends, more booty call buddies that were acquaintances. So they didn’t really spend any quality getting to know you time UNTIL they were trapped together.

That was really good!! She is a really good dr. But what she's going through isn't rt at all. He will always love his wife but he knows he has 2 move on with his life like she wanted. They started out as a fling but can it turn into much more in the future? There was a few unexpected issues on their land but they always work it out as a family 2 support everyone. I loved it. I can't believe how it turned out.

These two were tough nuts to crack! While they exceeded with acting on the heat between them, and it was scorching, they were way too experienced in tamping down their emotions. He figures it out first, she already knows, but the things they keep hidden make everything seem impossible. In true small town fashion, they find solutions, and not always as they expected <3

Obstacles to overcome!

Of course I loved the story. It was keeping me on the edge of my seat for little while, but things work out the way they were supposed to in this story. I've read all of the books in her series. I think they are wonderful and anyone who loves romance and some mystery will love them too.
