Rate this book
An uptight lawyer learns to trust her instincts and speak (and sing!) her truth when she befriends a sexy, musical personal trainer.

Victoria Blackstone has spent her career smashing glass ceilings … and all she has to show for it is broken fingernails.

As a powerhouse corporate lawyer, she had her entire life mapped get married, earn a partnership at a prestigious law firm, and eventually see her face on the cover of Forbes. But her carefully crafted plans came crashing down when she was overlooked for a critical promotion, just days after the man she planned to marry fell in love with someone else.

Suddenly untethered and humiliated, Victoria is forced to start over. She’s determined to rebuild her career and finally earn the success her family has always demanded.

But Victoria’s ordered world is upended when she meets Eric de la Cruz, a carefree, charming personal trainer who moonlights as a musician. His philosophy of ‘Say yes, then figure it out’ baffles Victoria, who can’t imagine life without long-term plans and clearly defined boundaries.

Sparks fly when Cruz refuses to play by her rules. His unshakable encouragement to prioritize her pleasure — in the gym, the music studio, and the bedroom — challenges her to redefine success and confront desires she’s buried for years.

When her family demands she return to their high-stakes world of impossible expectations, Victoria must Will she sacrifice her newfound freedom to uphold their legacy? Or embrace the messy, unpredictable love that makes her feel truly alive?

A witty, heartfelt romance about breaking free from perfectionism, rediscovering creativity, and finding the courage to chart your own path, All Twerk, No Play is perfect for fans of steamy, empowering love stories with plenty of laughs and even more heart.

Spice: 2

Tropes:
black cat/ golden retriever
he falls first
forced proximity
neighbors to lovers
family trauma
Dual POV

It's official. Every Bailey Seaborn book from here on out, count me in. There is just something about the characters that she writes, the emotions that she makes me feel that draws me in deep. I'm just absolutely hooked!

All Twerk, No Play is book 2 in the All or Nothing series. I highly recommend reading book one -Peppermint Bark, No Bite - first. The characters are interconnected, and while the MC couple are different, the first 30% of the book makes numerous references to events that took place in book 1. Also, knowing the characters, who were very active in this story as well as the previous, were fun to see again!

Victoria Blackstone is a lawyer. She comes from NY Real-estate Royalty and has her life planned out for the next 20 years. However, when her ex, Alex, fell in love in book 1, Victoria agrees to be his business partner- in hopes of waiting Alex out to see he's made a mistake. Is it love? No... but it's a relationship her family approved of and she had plans for.

Cruz is a man of many talents. Self-defense teacher, boot camp instructor, musician, and building superintendent. When Victoria buys the condo on the top floor of the building he's a sup for, he thinks a high maintenance pain in the butt moved in. But what he didn't expect was a woman hiding behind a shield of name brand clothing, and a voice that would rattle his soul.

When I started this book, I wasn't sure about Victoria. She came off as cold and a ladder climber. But instead, Bailey Seaborn wrote this beautifully complicated woman who had trauma, family expectations, and the desire to be loved. While Victoria is probably way richer than most people ever will be, I think all readers will find a way to connect with her. I truly looked forward to her chapter POV and couldn't put the book down.

Cruz, has all the qualities you fantasize about in your book boyfriend. Want a tattooed, long haired, spanish-speaking god of a man? Want a man who can take charge or would like you to take charge? Will make you breakfast? Buy you tampons when he notices you're out along with your favorite snack? That's Cruz. There's something that happens in the later half of the book- and I don't post spoilers- but Cruz's declaration of love was honestly chilling. I loved it so much!

*Also, each chapter is a song title and you should download the playlist immediately! Go read this book, but don't forget to read book 1 first! Read them both!

I wasn’t a fan of Victoria in Book One of this series, but I’m so glad I gave her story a chance!

Short Synopsis:
As a powerhouse corporate lawyer, Victoria had her entire life mapped out: get married, earn a partnership at a prestigious law firm, and eventually see her face on the cover of Forbes. Her plans came crashing down and Victoria is forced to start over. She’s determined to rebuild her career and finally earn the success her family has always demanded. But, Victoria’s ordered world is upended when she meets Eric de la Cruz, a personal trainer who moonlights as a musician. Sparks fly when Cruz refuses to play by her rules.

When her family demands she return to their high-stakes world of impossible expectations, Victoria must decide: Will she sacrifice her newfound freedom to uphold their legacy? Or embrace the messy, unpredictable love that makes her feel truly alive?

My Thoughts:
I loved seeing Victoria grow from, quite frankly, an entitled brat to a character with such depth and emotion. Cruz is her perfect match and brought so much out of her. Without him, I don’t think she would have grown as much as she did! By the end of this story, I was rooting for Victoria to get her happy ending!

Read this if you like:
🐈‍⬛ Black cat / golden retriever (grumpy heroine, sunshine hero)
🐈‍⬛ Neighbors to lovers
🐈‍⬛ Fake dating
🐈‍⬛ Musical serenading
🐈‍⬛ He falls first
🐈‍⬛ Take charge heroine
🐈‍⬛ Working class hero
🐈‍⬛ Forced proximity

A big thank you to partner, Booked with the Emilys, and the author, Bailey Seaborn, for the gifted e-arc. All opinions are my own!

All Twerk, No Play is one you’ll want on your kindle.

It’s a beefy story at almost 500 pages, and this novella lover was worried….well, I read it faster than I read any of the ACOTAR books lol.

Simply put, it’s well done. It kept me engaged with fun banter, sexy scenes and fun side characters.

Alright pals, gather 'round, it’s officially time for my review of the cutest damn book because that’s exactly what I just devoured. MASSIVE love to BookedWithTheEmilys and Bailey Seaborn for the early read and the absolutely adorable physical copy. Y’all really out here loving on me like that just melted me.

ONTO THE REVIEW: I AM UNWELL. In the best way.

So, this is book two in the series, and technically, you could read it without diving into Peppermint Bark, No Bite first… but like, why would you rob yourself of that joy? (Full review for book one is living its best life on my blog if you need convincing.)

Now let’s talk about Victoria. Real talk? I wasn’t sure I needed her story. I was ride or die for the characters in book one and fully prepared to gatekeep my emotions. BUT SURPRISE, I was tragically mistaken because this book WRECKED ME. I inhaled it. I frolicked through it. I am feral.

All Twerk, No Play? Five glittery stars. I am head over heels for Victoria and Cruz. I will not spoil it. I *refuse* to spoil it. But just know my heart did somersaults, exploded, reassembled, and did it all over again. I read for the vibes and the vibes delivered. Spicy, cozy, swoony chaos? Inject it.

And listen, I only have one teensy note: more twerking. I said it. Let’s not pretend we didn’t all hope for it. 👀

Here’s what you’re in for:

🎹 A powerhouse lawyer + cinnamon roll freelancer

🎹 Black cat energy meets heart-eyes overload

🎹 He falls first (!!!)

🎹 Forced proximity (screaming)

🎹 New York, city and upstate
(fun fact, I lived right outside of Saratoga as a child!)
🎹 Spicy in the exact right way

🎹 Content warnings? Yes, read them 💖

Run, don’t walk. This book owns me now.

All Twerk, No Play is a fun and steamy contemporary romance by Bailey Seaborn.

The title and cover were what initially caught my eye about this book. While All Twerk, No Play is the second book in the All or Nothing series, it can definitely be read as a standalone. That's what I did, but my completionist heart already bought an ebook copy of the first book so I can check that out as well.

I'm a big fan of the black cat/golden retriever trope, so I absolutely ate this up! Victoria is a lawyer who armors herself with to-do lists and plans. Cruz is a charming and carefree personal trainer who occasionally gigs as a musician.

If you are a music-lover, if not a musician yourself, there are so many great references in this book. Chapters start with song titles, which was a fun literary device. The author has a playlist for the book!

Both of our main characters are fans of music, as you can probably tell by the cover. As a musician myself, I really enjoyed watching them explore (or re-explore in Victoria's case) that hobby. I felt very seen in Victoria in many ways, but especially here since I joined my video game orchestra during a period of my life where I wanted to reconnect with things that once brought me joy. I loved watching her character growth, as a recovering perfectionist myself.

Tropes in this book include: opposites attract, grumpy/sunshine, black cat, golden retriever, class differences, fake dating, neighbors to lovers, he falls first, forced proximity

CW: grief, infidelity (by neither of the main characters), sexual harassment

I received a complimentary review copy from the author and Booked with the Emilys. All opinions contained herein are my own.

I want somebody who wants me so badly that he can't breathe when I'm away. Somebody who can't keep his hands off me. Somebody who likes me better than everyone else, even when I'm a cold bitch.”

I fell in love with Bailey Seaborn when I read Peppermint Bark No Bite, the first book in the All or Nothing series. All Twerk No Play is a perfect example of why. Bailey writes stories full of heart and heat, featuring flawed, complex characters who embark on self-discovery journeys filled with highs, lows, and emotional growth. Her characters feel real, raw, and completely relatable—and Victoria and Cruz are the epitome of that.

“Why him? It's a need I can't explain, a chemistry I can't replicate. I've tried to squelch my desire, to convince my body to ignore its reaction. Yet still, I burn. So why deny the fire? Why not give in to the blaze?”

We got a glimpse of Victoria and Cruz in book one, and when I found out they were the main couple in this story, I was ecstatic. Victoria was first introduced as uptight and unlikable, and I knew she’d get an incredible character arc—and Bailey delivered. I loved watching Victoria slowly let go of the perfectionist tendencies that had been ingrained in her since birth.

Cruz was the perfect MMC to help her break down those walls. He’s the ultimate golden retriever—funny, sweet, loyal, and protective. Together, they balance each other out in such a beautiful way. And their chemistry? Make sure you have a fan nearby—it’s hot.

“You're secretly a dirty girl who needs a break from that squeaky clean image.”

If you love books with heart, growth, found family, and deliciously steamy spice, pick this one up—along with anything else Bailey has written. You won’t regret it.

ARC Review – Thank you Booked with The Emilys and Bailey Seaborne for the gifted copy of All Twerk, No Play

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
🌶️🌶️🌶️

This book is for all my music lovers out there! Bailey did an amazing job weaving music into this story line. The MMC, Cruz, loves everything about music. He knows musical facts, every song by every artist, lyrics to every song, and is constantly singing or humming. He is also a drummer, plays the guitar, and plays in a band…I mean come on!!! The FMC, Victoria, is also musical, but she tries to hide it. She can sing beautifully and play the piano. Every chapter title is a different song, and I thought it was so fun. I loved how the chapter titles really flowed in with the storyline. They felt like they were meant to be there and not an afterthought.

The relationship between Cruz and Victoria was fire. It was hot and spicy. There was a little bit of a slow burn on her side, but when they finally connected…whew…I needed to fan myself. The way Cruz protected Victoria and helped to draw her out of herself was perfection. He was a big, strong man (ex-military who is now personal trainer) and might look slightly intimidating on the outside, but he was this huge teddy bear on the inside. I could not get enough of him.

Victoria was a strong, independent woman who paid cash for a $3M dollar building. When she did that I knew she was all business. I love it when the powerful, rich character is a woman! I loved that we got to see Cruz break down Victoria’s wall and reveal her more vulnerable and playful sides. These characters had depth and layers. They felt like real people that I was rooting for throughout the book.

All Twerk, No Play is the second book in an interconnected series. I didn’t read the first book and don’t feel like I was missing anything. However, I loved this book so much I plan to go back and read the first book. It is about Victoria’s business partner, Alex.

*Read if you love*

🎸 He falls first
🎹 Black cat-golden retriever
🎸 Strong, powerful, rich FMCs
🎹 Books with musical playlists
🎸 Fake dating
🎹 Working class hero

Victoria Blackstone is a prestigious attorney from a wealthy family. She gives new meaning to the word uptight. Eric de la Cruz is a music loving, go with the flow kind of guy who is working multiple jobs after separating from the Navy. Victoria is all black cat energy; emotionless and all business. Cruz is a golden retriever’s golden retriever. His heart is as big as his talent. Victoria is carrying the torch for her law partner and Cruz has a strictly one night only rule. This should not work.

But, oh, my goodness, it works. The character growth in both MCs is phenomenal. Their chemistry is off the charts. We are talking hot, hot, hot. Cruz is infinitely swoon worthy and the tension between them is taut with promise.

The musical references add to the story with a song title for each chapter that blends perfectly into the plot. You’ll find yourself falling in love with Cruz. Who can resist his good looks, soft heart, and huge talent? If anyone can melt Victoria’s frosty veneer, it’s him.

Thanks to the author and Booked With The Emilys for the gifted book. All opinions are my own.

4.5 rounded to 5⭐️

We meet Victoria and Cruz in Peppermint Bark, No Bite. I was not a big fan of Victoria in book one and I will say I wasn't a huge fan of her personality for much of the beginning of this book either, until she started to let down her walls. I did love Cruz's character. He radiated such fun and joy. Victoria really needed someone like Cruz in her life to help realize that she could lean on someone else and didn't need to be strong all of the time. The fact that the entire book was set to a musical vibe made this such a fun read. Each chapter had a song title, and that entire chapters tone went with that song. Though not necessary, I would recommend reading these books in order. Another great book by Bailey Seaborn. I can't wait to read more from her.

Thanks to Booked With the Emilys and Bailey Seaborn for the gifted copy of All Twerk, No Play.

It took me a second to get into the story but once I did I was sold.

It’s book 2 in the All or Nothing series but I didn’t read book 1 so it can definitely be read as a standalone!

I loved Victoria’s character and how she so determined to do things her way even if it was the harder way. And Cruz is definitely swoon-worthy….I mean he can sing AND plays the guitar 🥵.

My favorite part of the book is probably all the music aspects of it. If you like music references I’d definitely pick up this book!

This is my second book by the author and the second in this series I've read as well! The writing is exactly what I needed BOTH times. I love the tropes and characters in them so far. I enjoyed how connected this was with the first book while remaining an interconnected standalone! It was a joy to read, and I gobbled up every chapter. A feel-good romance with a fun ending! Not to mention the diverse characters and the representation she sprinkles throughout all of them.

Thank you to the author and Booked With the Emily's!

Victoria is very cutthroat as she needs to be as a high end lawyer but I love that through Cruz (most of the credit to him) and friends, she learns to take a stand for herself and not always have people walk all over her. I hate how certain men treated her and glad that one got some redemption in my eyes.

Now onto Cruz .How could this musician, personal trainer and self defense man be any more amazing! He is the perfect balance to Victoria. He shows her how to relax and let go. He has very set rules for himself and I love how Victoria dissolved them. The YouTube videos he makes for her at the end? 😍

Side characters of Grace, Mallory and Kate are perfect friends for Victoria. I now have the feeling that we will get a Kate/Nick story next? 🤞

I wish good reads would add half stars!!

I was gifted this book from booked with the emilys and it didn’t disappoint. Victoria was the grumpy to Cruz’s sunshine and i won’t lie i hated her for awhile, but as she started to find herself she was great! The characters all had past traumas and issues that caused issues for them but i enjoyed the ride!

I would give 2.5 spice rating. Just so you know!

4.5- Thank you so much to @bookedwiththeemilys @baileyseabornauthor for the advance copy of the book!

This book will be out on May 15th.

I was drawn to this book by the fun title and the cover! Who doesn't love a bearded, man bun man on a cover? Plus he is playing a guitar - swoon!

I will admit the beginning of this was a little hard for me to get through and that may have been for two reasons: learning the backstory of our FMC Victoria/Tori and getting used to a new author's writing style. There was a lot happening in the beginning but around 15% or so (could've been even sooner than that) things were ironed out and I was ready to go! I became so invested in Victoria and Cruz's story - individually and together. They were total opposites and yet somehow it worked!

One of my favorite micro tropes is when a couple are dancing usually in a nightclub. And this book had that and it did not disappoint! Even though this happened pretty early on but it really set the stage for their relationship and attraction to one another. One thing I wish authors would do more that Bailey did is when we meet Cruz he is a non committal, one night stand type of man AND WE SAW IT. Instead of the author just telling us about his past or having the characters talk about his lack of commitment, we actually saw one of the hook ups happened on page.

I love seeing Cruz's growth throughout the book. How he thought he could only be this one way when he could be so much more. He admitted to Tori that he has never been in a relationship but when the moment came when she asked him, he was all in. I love how they complimented one another and how he encouraged Tori that she could do anything and was strong enough.

I want somebody who wants me so badly that he can't breathe when I'm away. Somebody who can't keep his hands off me. Somebody who likes me better than everyone else, even when I'm a cold bitch."

Tori also had a lot of growth throughout the book. In the beginning I found her very unlikeable mostly because I was screaming for her to get over her ex. I understand why she was attached to the idea of him due to her family and expectations but dude was engaged and living with someone else. I am glad though they were able to have meaningful conversations and were able to be best friends. I also was proud of her for standing up to her dad. I know it took a lot of her to do that and it took some struggling to realized she couldn't go back to living her old life again.

There were just so many moments between the two that just had me giggling. I love seeing Tori with his family and then the moment when Cruz and Tori were with her grandfather at his party. I love the chemistry between the two of them. I wasn't sure how the spice level was going to be but I thought it was the perfect amount for the book.

This book is a second in a series but you do not need to read the first one to understand this one. I had not read the first one and felt like I could piece together the events of the first book. As mentioned above, it took a little bit but I got it down. From what I heard from others, it is really good!

If you are looking for a funny, swoony MMC with spice - give this one a read!

I’ve never read a Bailey Seaborn book before, but my goodness- I can’t wait to go back and read the first book in this series. I absolutely loved this book and couldn’t put it down!
Victoria is a woman who knows what she wants and does whatever she needs to in order to get things done. Unfortunately, she is such a go-getter that she ends up pushing those she cares about away and does not let her feelings/emotions ever affect her.
Cruz is the complete opposite. While he doesn’t have his career path figured out just yet, he feels and cares outwardly about those that are close to him and he makes sure to take the time to show them. Sometime between his work as a personal fitness trainer, superintendent of the building where he lives, and the time he practices honing his musical skills… he falls hard for Victoria… and he falls hard. But, he definitely can’t purse anything with her because #1- she’s a tenant in his building and #2- he never breaks his one night rule with any woman.
No matter what attraction Victoria feels towards Cruz, she realizes there is no way she can give into her desires. She is from a family that would not approve of their relationship and she has other futures plans anyway that he doesn’t fit into. But why does she find herself gravitating towards him and wanting to spend her free time with him? And why does she realize that he is one of the only people that have stuck around and cared for her without any strings attached? Can they figure everything out in order to be together?! I highly suggest reading this book to find out! Seaborn’s banter and chemistry between the main characters was amazing, and the music references made me smile throughout the whole book!

This was a very cute read.

I loved the reverse grumpy / sunshine, and how each of the characters drew out the best (and lesser seen) parts of the other.

Initially I thought that Victoria was a difficult character to like, but then I realized that's just society's bias toward strong-willed, career-focused women. Once her history is unfolded, readers will be sympathetic to her closed-off-ness. Plus, it gives Cruz the chance to show her life doesn't have to be so rule-heavy.

Cruz was the perfect book boyfriend, and I really did love how he and Victoria balanced each other as their relationship unfolded. She brought maturity into his life, and he helped her loosen up. They brought out the best parts of the other by challenging them, pushing them a little, but in the end being incredibly supportive of the other's hopes and dreams.

Cruz's family was also great. Seaborn did a marvelous job crafting them and the love that they have for one another. I wanted to be at his mama's house, dancing around the living room and sharing in those special moments.

The "Where are they now" segment of the book felt a little bit unrealistic to me--a bit farfetched--but that was honestly my biggest "issue" with the book.

Overall, this was a charming, lil spicy, read. You have complicated characters, personal growth, realistic life situations, and two people just trying to find their place in this big, messy world.

Victoria a corporate lawyer has her whole life planned out; get married, earn partnership and be on the cover of Forbes magazine like her parents and grandparents, that is all until everything comes crashing down when she is over looked for a promotion. Determined to rebuild her career and success her family demands she starts her own law firm. Her world is upended again when she meets Cruz, a carefree personal trainer, building super and musician with a motto of ‘Say yes, then figure it out’. Sparks fly between Victoria and Cruz, but will she be able to embrace the unpredictable love that makes her feel alive or will she uphold the family legacy.

First off I really loved how all the chapters were song titles. So many good ones, it’s like a playlist just for this book. I really enjoyed the dual pov between Victoria and Cruz. The banter and chemistry between these two is just amazing. The growth that Victoria made and even seeing the depth of her character grow was great. The family bond between Cruz and his family and the found family that Victoria found in her friendships. I really enjoyed Cruz’s grand gesture and their ending.

Really hoping to see a story for Nick and Kate!

This is book two in the All or Nothing series, but can be read as a standalone. While I have not read book one I will be shortly.

This is a new to me author.

This book was main character soundtrack vibes from start to finish!

Things I loved:
The song references (music lovers, this one’s for you)
The FMC’s character arc (growth, baby!)
The humor and banter (10/10 would laugh again)
The CAT. Enough said.
And the pure steam and tension between the MMC and FMC? Whew.

Things I’d change:
The million different names for the FMC. I get that it was part of her journey, but I think we could’ve followed her arc without needing a full name generator situation.
And while the older song references were fun, I would’ve loved a few more trendy, current bangers. A lot of them I didn’t recognize, so they didn’t hit as hard as they were clearly meant to.

Still a super fun, steamy, and musical ride!

I have to admit that Victoria got on my nerves at first. I loved her independence and how strong willed she was, but my god she had quite an attitude at first. With that said, I did realize that there was more to her than what first met the eye. I knew that there was a story behind the way she carried herself and boy was I right. I knew Victoria was strong, but after learning her story I have to bow down to her. She truly is amazing and Cruz never stood a chance lol

On the other hand, Cruz had me from the very beginning. I knew this man had more to offer than what he and everyone else gave him credit for. He was charming and funny, but what really made me fall for him was his patience and loyalty to Tory. It was the way he showed for her any way he could that got me. Not to mention the fact that he could dance and sing.

I seriously would've given anything to be able to step into the book and seen their story front and center. I truly think it would have been amazing to see how these two souls who could not be more opposite come together. Bailey Seaborn did an amazing job with this book and I am so happy to have discovered her.

Meet Victoria and Cruz! They couldn’t be more opposite. She’s a high-powered lawyer from a wealthy prestigious family. He’s a part-time self-defense instructor, occasional musician and maintenance man for her condominium building. At first glance I wasn’t sure about these characters. Victoria was unapologetically ambitious. Cruz is all about passion, joy, spontaneity – and then figure it out. The only thing he is committed to is a one night rule with the women who manage to snag a date. But as the story develops, and the complex layers of these two unfold another side to each of them and a much deeper meaningful story emerges. I became so invested in this story, that I was up until 4 am reading – and although I paid for it the next day, it was so worth it!
All Twerk No Play melted my heart as it delivered on the romance, steam and swoon worthy musical scenes. My heart was in my throat for parts of this…Stay Strong, Cobrecita…iykyk – okay I still can tear up just thinking about it!
Can Victoria continue to smash those glass ceilings and live life her way?

All Twerk, No Play is fake dating, musical serenades, and one golden retriever of a hero who falls head over heels for the grump next door—and yes, it’s just as fun as it sounds.

Victoria is all sharp edges and spreadsheets. Cruz is a personal trainer with a guitar, a six-pack, and no concept of boundaries—in the most charming way possible. She’s trying to hold her life together; he’s over here handing her protein shakes and reasons to smile.

Their chemistry? Instant. The banter? Sharp. And Cruz? Honestly, someone get him a trophy for Most Supportive Fictional Man. Watching him nudge Victoria out of her shell—and watching her slowly admit she actually likes the messiness of real life—is what makes this story pop.

This one’s for anyone who loves a grumpy girl, sunshine guy, and the kind of slow-burn heat that turns fake into forever. Bailey Seaborn, keep ’em coming.

This is the 2nd book that I've read by Bailey Seaborn, and I was not disappointed. There are a few tropes in this book that I absolutely enjoy when reading a romance story. Fake dating is definitely one of them. This book was absolutely based on music, and so if you enjoy music, this is something you'll appreciate. This book has one character who always seems to have a hard time letting go of control. Victoria is that character. Not that there's anything bad about being ambitious, but she's definitely up there. Cruz is definitely laid back compared to her. Victoria wasn't really a character you would like in the beginning, but she starts to break down her walls, and you end up starting to see her in the end. This was fun to read, and I'm glad I was part of this journey.

Coming May 15th!!

4.25⭐️ Many precious moments of a playboy finding love a devotion and a woman who doesn’t believe love will find her. Victoria is a successful corporate lawyer that had a plan. When that plan blew up in smoke, she built the life her family should be proud of. Too bad they have very big opinions on her life. Cruz is a care free musician and personal trainer. His chemistry with Victoria is instant, but he doesn’t do relationships. He just can’t stay away and show her how to find all her passions and pleasures.

If you enjoy a golden retriever book boyfriend that is super devoted to his girl (I think we all do), Cruz is your guy. Victoria is a strong FMC that knows how to be on her own but enjoys being treated like a valued woman. She also knows how to make a man bleed.

This was a fun, steamy, and surprisingly cute read with a great playlist to match the vibe. Bailey Seaborn delivers a bold, emotionally charged story with characters who are messy, real, and completely unfiltered. I didn’t read the first book in the series, but I had no trouble diving right into Victoria and Cruz’s story—thankfully so, because this is a big book (like, 500 pages big). Still, the pacing keeps things moving so it never feels like it drags.

Victoria and Cruz are messy in a way that feels authentic. One moment you’re side-eyeing them, the next you’re rooting for them. They make bad decisions, feel everything loudly, and absolutely bring the drama. Their chemistry? 🔥 And while the spice delivers, there’s a surprising amount of heart underneath the heat.

The music references throughout the book were chef’s kiss. They matched the mood of the scenes perfectly and honestly had me listening along.

All Twerk, No Play is hot, heartfelt, and has just enough sweetness to balance the fire. Definitely worth the read.

Thanks to @bookedwiththeemilys @baileyseabornauthor for the #gifted copy of this book.

What to expect:
Black cat / golden retriever
Neighbors to lovers
Fake dating
Musical serenading
He falls first
Take charge heroine
Working class hero
Forced proximity

All Twerk, No Play was packed with humor, heat, and healing. Victoria and Cruz each had baggage and legitimate reservations about relationships, and yet as they spent more time together and their attraction turned to chemistry and affection, they became each other’s strongest partners and supports. Also - Cruz’s love language is acts of service - enough said ☺️. I also loved how the music for each chapter perfectly matched the energy of the characters and the story.

All Twerk, No Play is book 2 in the All or Nothing series by Bailey Seaborn. I did NOT read book 1, but I truly enjoyed this one. I'm a fan of he falls first and forced proximity, so this book was right up my alley. ATNP was a little lengthy, but I stayed engaged and enjoyed it. The main character (Victoria) is someone I would like to be friends with in real life. I hope that I can meet her someday!

Thank you for the copy, this is my honest opinion. Please be aware of any trigger warnings, as your mental health is most important.

All Twerk, No Play is 120K words of glorious mayhem: real-estate shark Victoria “buys buildings for breakfast” Blackstone collides with Cruz, a tattooed, cinnamon-roll superintendent who can barely plan past lunch, and the sparks go full pyrotechnic.

You get competence-porn, chaos, an epic soundtrack, side characters who steal scenes, female friendships that arrive with tequila, and a late-book rug-pull that makes the eventual HEA feel earned.

If you crave smart, spicy romance delivered by a heroine with giant metaphorical lady-balls, chug this and thank me later.

After reading Bailey’s debut, Peppermint Bark, No Bite, I didn’t expect Victoria to take center stage next—but I’m so glad she did.

It was easy to connect with her drive to shatter the glass ceiling and finally tell her side of the story. In the first book, she came off as the classic “villainous ex,” but here, we see a much more layered, human side of her.

Both Victoria and Eric are bold, complex characters—each a force in their own way—and I really enjoyed watching them push each other, grow, and yes, bring the heat. Their chemistry and personal transformations kept me hooked from start to finish.

Can’t wait to see where this world goes next as the cast of characters continues to grow!

When I heard there was a second book in this series, I was all in. I absolutely adored Peppermint Bark, No Bite, and I wasn't sure it could be topped, but I think I might love All Twerk even more! Victoria, despite being someone I really can't relate to in lifestyle, is completely relatable in emotions, which is a pleasant surprise, since I didn't care much for her in the first book. And Cruz? Such a spicy cinnamon roll!

In addition to the emotional aspect of the story, it seemed to me that music acted as a supporting character, which I loved. Having grown up the daughter of an elementary school music teacher, my life has always had a soundtrack, and it added so much dimension to the book for me.

I would definitely read this again, and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who loves an opposites attract love story with spice and found family.

Thank you so much to the author and to Booked With The Emilys for my gifted ARC. I am voluntarily sharing my honest review.
