I love this whole series of books by Yuval Zommer. I love the gorgeous, detailed illustrations full of color and texture. I love the seek and find elements. I also love that I always learn something when I read them.
This book is all about islands. The contents includes general information about islands like types of islands, shipwrecks, and more. It also has features on specific islands around the world from Easter Island and Zanzibar to St. Kilda and Borneo.
OUR ISLANDS is a fun book for any curious kid, but I also love it to support a geography unit. There is a lot of interesting information about islands on these pages.

Een prachtig boek over eilanden! We leren over verschillende eilanden van warm tot koud. We gaan naar Spitsbergen en Borneo, naar Paaseiland en Madagaskar. En daar leren we over de eilanden, van dieren tot bomen tot planten to dingen eromheen. Erg leuk om te lezen en de illustraties van Yuval Zommer zijn ook weer prachtig!
Oh, en leuk dat zoeken naar muntjes. Ik was alleen echt té moe om daar ook nog op te focussen. XD
