USA Today Best Selling Author T.L. Smith loves to write her characters with flaws so beautiful and dark that you can’t turn away from. Her books have been translated into several languages. If you don’t find her in her home town of Queensland, Australia you can usually find her travelling around the world to sitting on a beach in Bali, to exploring Alcatraz in San Francisco or walking the streets of New York.
This is a 5 star for me. I loved it so much. I couldn’t put the book down. All of my favorite tropes , enemies to lovers , single mom, billionaire, grumpy boss, sassy heroine, he falls first.
I loved how Dutton and posies relationship changes and grows throughout out the story.
I have to be honest, I was not a fan of Dutton in the first book, and I was not looking forward to reading his story, but damn I’m so happy I struggle with skipping books lol
This book had me laughing, crying and sweating 🥵 throughout the whole thing!
There was nothing I disliked about this book except for the FMCs name… because what in the Ring Around the Rosie kind of name is Posie?! 😒 I feel like the author is taking the piss with these names, because first we get Jewel Diamond, and now we get Posie??? Absolutely not! Che disgrazia!
Everything else? I absolutely loved it!
1- The FMC (I refuse to acknowledge her my her name) was so funny and badass! I loved the way she stood up for herself at every turn and never submitted to him or anyone else! She humbled that man so many times, and I was here for it 😂
2- Dutton (His name is pretty bad too, ngl) was the cutest little patootie! That boy was obviously a little emotionally stunted, but that’s ok, we still love him! Watching him go from this cold, emotionless “businessman” to an absolute simp was the highlight of my month! The way he fell so hard for her, and hearing him think that he’s not worthy of her love made me want to cry 😭 He was so adamant that he never wanted to get married or have kids because it would get in the way of his life, and then to see him completely drop that thought process the moment he realized his feelings for her and her son 🥹
3- His parents are the fkn best! I loved them so much and seeing the way they treated Bentley, especially his father, made my heart melt! His dad rented out a whole bouncy castle on a random weekday after meeting the kid only once because the boy wanted to see him again! STOOPP ✋🏼😭
4- The banter between all the guys + Billie cracks me up! I love their snarky comments and I can’t wait to see them interact more!
5- The way this man treated women! You would think that a mafia man who likes to carve up his enemies and who owns a strip club would not be the best to women, but oh would you be wrong. The way he provided so much security for his girls, not to protect his assets, but because he truly valued their safety! And the way he internally reacted to what her ex said about women? Yeah, he’s a good man, Savannah!
6- The amount of failed proposals this man had to push through before he finally got it right 😂 I love that she made him work for it!
7- He called him Daddy!!! 😭😭😭😭😭 omg I can’t! What a way to end a book 🥹
*P.S to anyone who read my previous review, we find out what the virgin auctions are, and it’s not what I originally thought, so I retract my earlier assumption lol
I went in blind, only checking the tropes because I love Kia and T.L.'s writing, and I wanted to be surprised—best decision ever! The banter, the plot, the action, and the spice? Chef’s kiss—everything was perfectly portrayed!
Dutton pushing Poise while she held her ground? Perfection. And the way Poise always put her baby first? Loved that. She was strong, fierce, and protective, making their dynamic so much better. 🩷
This was so precious and just what I needed 🥹 This really hooked me, like can’t stop reading and sacrifices sleep before a work day, kind of hooked and isn’t that just the best 🫶🏻
The dynamic of stripper / rich boss, sassy and bossy, push and pull 🤤 AND HE BECOMES A SIMP. Just what I needed. The single mom aspect was so well done and I loved that Dutton doesn’t know about Bentley for a while. Posie’s character was so incredibly strong and gosh I just love her sass. Daddy Dutton was so oblivious to him falling for her and I just loved it all 🫶🏻
I'm loving this second generation series. It's Dutton turn, who is following in his father's footsteps. His parents are Dawson and Honey (Virtuous Vows). Posie is a single mom doing whatever is necessary to give a better life for her son, Bentley.
From the start, I was hoked by the dynamic and the banters between them. I think the returning of the parents and seeing them interact with their son is an added bonus. The storyline had me captivated and I loved that there was added suspense. This is an amazing story and I loved it!
i think i liked the first in the series a little more than this one, but overall still very enjoyable for me!
i loooooved how much posie sassed dutton and never backed down or rolled over to his demands. sure, she’s not a badass assassin like jewel- but she still had balls of steel and put everything she had into protecting her son.
poise & dutton’s relationship progressed at a nice pace imo, and i of course loved how overprotective and possesive he was of not only her but little bentley too.
very quick paced read, easy to understand/follow, and just the right amount of drama! i’m super intrigued/invested in this cast of characters, and i can’t wait to see what sort of trouble ford and billie get up to in the next book!
This book was a complete disaster of mass proportions. The MMC was portrayed as a bad world a mafia blah blah. Nope he was definitely weak and acted like a bit(h treated like trash by the FMC who acted like she came from a pond with no manners and zero character. Her mean streak was not a believable one instead it looked cheap and guetto.
Don’t waste your time this book could easily be a zero no character development, no connection, no relationship development or anything that made this book want to be read or even bothered.
If you want a love story with passion, feelings connection a strong male character this isn’t it..
I didn’t even read the tropes or blurb about this book because I knew as soon as I saw there was a second book in the series I was gonna read it. Promiscuous Lies did not disappoint! Dutton & Posie… where to begin. Posie is a dancer and is doing whatever she has to in order of keeping her son safe. Dutton is her boss and while she does not date or trust any man, her body is reacting differently towards him. Dutton is a man who would never commit to a woman, but when it comes to Posie, he is finding himself doing things he never imagined doing. He is dangerous, captivating, and hot! He definitely had me swooning with his protective, caring ways. But let’s not forget the dirty mouth on him either. Posie is strong and sassy. I absolutely loved their chemistry and banter. The storyline had me hooked. So much emotion with some hilarious moments and let’s not forget the top tier spice!
I don’t think there was one thing I didn’t like about this book! I can’t wait to read Addicted Lies!
Kindle Unlimited: Yes Stand-alone: Yes** Author: T.L. Smith and Kia Carrington-Russell Rating: 5/5 ⭐️ Spiciness Rating:3.5/5 🌶 POV: First Person Dual Perspective Main Couple: Dutton and Posie Trope(s): Enemies To Lovers, Single Mother, Billionaire, Grumpy Boss, Sassy Heroine, He Falls First
‘My boss might be an asshole, but right now, he looks as if he’s under my spell, and I want to see what might happen if I try to break the cool intensity of his control. He’s so used to having everything go his way. I want to make him break apart.’
The Dynamic Dirty Duo are delivering us the next gen to their Lethal Vows Series and they are absolutely blowing my mind. Although this is dark romance, the angst is lowkey, the banter, as always, is on point, and these morally grey men in all their anti-heroness have zero f*cks to give if you cross the line, especially when it comes to their families. Posie is everything we expect and want in a FMC- don’t make her use her bat because y’all she will. Also, I cannot with these Lethal Vow Daddys. Apples don’t fall far from the trees and I am throwing out my blanket, cracking open my basket, and pouring a large pour of wine and enjoying every minute of dirty bliss.
Posie is a single mother raising her son, Bentley. After leaving the only home she knew when she was eighteen, pregnant, and alone she arrived in New York. When the opportunity to work at Pearl, an exclusive, invite only, gentlemen’s club, presented itself, Posie took the job. The pay, flexibility, and reputation of the club helps ease her mind.
Dutton Taylor is not overly impressed when he meets his newest dancer for the first time. And, he is more than willing to teach her a lesson.
Posie has been around all types of powerful men, but there is something about Dutton that sets her on edge. Could be all those dominant vibes he asserts.
Dutton does not socialize with his employees, but he is making an exception for Posie. He is very curious about her association with the Boston Delinquents especially since his cousin is doing business with them.
Dutton keeps showing up at the club interrupting her from working. He has an issue with other men touching her. So, he does the logical thing, offers her a job of her choosing in his club that does not require her to take off her clothes.
He asserts himself in her life. His attention brings her past into her here and now.
Posie is a single mom working as a dancer to provide for herself and her son. When she crosses paths with her boss, Dutton, she’s surprised to find he’s close to her age, and even more shocked by his immediate, intense interest in her. But instead of being charming, he’s gruff and possessive. Fortunately, Posie isn’t easily intimidated. I loved their fiery banter and how she never backed down, even against a powerful, wealthy man like Dutton. With a past she’s desperate to outrun, Posie soon finds herself under Dutton’s fierce protection because he’ll do whatever it takes to keep her and her son safe. If you love an obsessed, all in MMC, then definitely add this to your TBR.
Thank you, T.L. Smith, Kia Carrington-Russell and Hambright PR for the ARC.
📚📚📚 At this point I don’t think there’s a TL Smith book I won’t read in one sitting! This one absolutely consumed me from the start. Posie had me giggling. She just gave very much brat attitude and I was living for it. Posie is a stripper a few times a week to care for her child the best she could. Well that’s where she meets Dutton, her boss. But that doesn’t stop her attitude with him. Dutton is hot hot and absolutely ruthless when it comes to him work and family. Nobody gives him lip. That’s what intrigues him with Posie. It definitely took us some time to get to their relationship because of pasts and the push. Once we did oh god I was obsessed with them. Dutton with stop at nothing to be protective of Posie and her son. Overall I absolutely loved this one and totally recommend!

Thank you so much for sending me a copy for an honest review in my own words. #giftedcopy
✨What’s a book you’ve read that deserves higher than 5 stars?
Promiscuous Lies is the second standalone in a series focused on a mafia boss and the woman he's obsessed with. Posie is a single mom with a secret to hide, dancing to make ends meet. Dutton (yes, that's his name) is her grumpy boss who can't seem to keep away. Sparks fly, obviously, but unfortunately there isn't a ton more substance beyond that.
It's too bad when a combo of favorite tropes (mafia, boss romance, grumpy x sunshine) just doesn't turn out to work. Dutton just didn't hold any appeal for me- he was violent and overprotective but didn't have enough backing to make it logical. Posie plays hard to get until she REALLY doesn't, then everything is totally fine. It just didn't gel for me, unfortunately.
Still grateful for the chance to read this in exchange for my honest review. I think it would hit better for folks who are more interested in romance than plot, so still consider giving it a try.
From Eli and Jewel, now to Dutton and Posie, I was SOOO EXCITED to read another Next Generation book in this series! I wasn’t sure if it was going to go in order, but it seems like it just might, and I AM HERE FOR IT!
Just like Eli and Crue, Dutton and Dawson in MANY WAYS are like father like son. Their loyalty, protectiveness, charm, wit and selflessness when it comes to family is incredible, especially being passed down to the hottie who’d definitely make my panties drop, Dutton. As much as he can be cold, like his icy blue eyes, he is as much of a giant cuddly bear than you could imagine, exclusively when it comes to Posie and her ADORABLE ASS son, Bentley. Posie, like most of the women in this series, Next Gen or OG, is one bad ass woman. She takes no shit and has had an unfortunate past that has made her into the strong woman that she is and would do anything to keep her son safe. So when a brooding asshole as her boss steps in her space, she doesn’t back down, and seeing her get under Dutton’s skin, including when she would throw shit… JUST HAD ME CACKLING. Oh, and I am DEFINITELY not going to forget to mention the little cutie Bentley! HE WAS SO SCRUMPTIOUSLY CUTE. AAHHH!
Being able to see the characters from the OG to the Next Gen is something else entirely. Specifically seeing the OG couples in each book with their respective children just makes my heart warm. With that, I need to give a shoutout/mention to Dawson and Honey. They were EVERYTHING in this book. I loved them, and love them even more now, including getting emotional at moments that included Dawson with Bentley… that shit HIT HARD. *sobs* And that potential little teaser into the next book HAD ME GAGGING. UGGH WHAT A MATCH. I CAN’T WAIT!
This book was so good - I finished this in a day! I was excited to dive back into this world. Posie and Dutton have this electronic chemistry!
Posie is a single mom and will do whatever it takes to care for her son and keep him safe. She catches the eye of her boss Dutton…they have this immediate chemistry. But Posie doesn’t date and wants nothing to do with him…the only problem is her body disagrees.
What starts as a no strings agreement quickly develops into something more. When Posie’s past threatens her and her son…Dutton steps up to protect her, whether she wants it or not.
Dutton is brooding and unhinged and can’t stop thinking about Posie. He isn’t a man who would ever commit to a woman…but he finds himself doing things he never expected for her. Posie is strong and snarky and I loved their banter.
There are some great scenes with Posie and Bentley and Dutton’s family. We also get to catch up with Eli, Jewel and my favorite twins (still not sure what to think about them 😉)
There is a particular car scene that will live rent free in my head for quite awhile!! ✨What To Expect: 🖤 Dark Romance ❤️🔥 Enemies to Lovers 💖 Single Mom 👠 Boss/Employee 🥀 Mafia Vibes 💰 Billionaire 🔥 He Falls First 💋 Sassy FMC ⛈️ Grumpy MMC ☠️ Touch Her and 💀 🔪 Found Family 🩶 Morally Grey MCs
I’ve said it in previous reviews, and I’ll keep saying it: T.L. Smith and Kia Carrington-Russell are a phenomenal writing duo. The mafia series they’ve delivered has been consistently on point for me. And “Promiscuous Lies,” book 2 in the Vengeful Lies series, is another story that demonstrates their ability to write a mafia romance with two strong main characters that balance well off of each other. I love that they incorporate some dark themes, spice, and a touch of humorous banter. Each story is standalone; Book 2 focuses on Dutton, Eli’s cousin.
Dutton's connection with Posie, from boss/employee to casual to serious, was great to see from someone in his position in the mafia. I loved the progression he made with Posie’s son—the initial awkwardness, the conversations the two would have, and the growing love that began to grow between the two were quite touching. When Posie’s ex caused disruption, I liked how Dutton stepped in, but I also liked how Posie decided she was tired of running and confronted him.
I’m much enjoying the Vengeful Lies series and looking forward to Book 3!
Read within 24 hours. Thank you Hambright PR for the ARC! This is the second book in the Vengeful Lies series however can be read as a standalone. Read within 24 hours!
- Forced Proximity - Boss / Employee - Single Mum - Billionaire MMC - FMC in hiding
Posie does what she needs to get away from a past she doesn't want to think about and provide for her young son. This is how she found herself stripping a few times a week to ensure they always had a roof over her head & food on the table.
Dutton is ruthless. Being a member of a crime family, he doesn't just know the mafia families in the area but the motorcycle clubs too. He has his eye on it all, while he runs successful clubs across the city. He doesn't usually let a woman get in his head, but the fact Posie pushes him as he pulls her closer - Has him more than intrigued.
Posie does spend a good half of the book fighting her attraction with Dutton - Which was frustrating but I also understood why she did. She had come from a rough relationship, from a man who didn't want his son and lived in danger he was going to find them. She had trust issues & Dutton had to prove he would be there till the end.
This is a heart warming growth romance story, with dark twists along the way.
You have an FMC who's a "dancer", who is literally just trying to survive and keep and her and son safe from her pos ex. Then you have an MMC who runs said club where the FMC dances at, who cares about family, money and work. That's it. He doesn't believe in love or having a relationship of any sorts.
That is until he lands his eyes on Poise and decides that no one can have her, see her dance and that he's going to do whatever he can to win her over. But Poise is a strong and stubborn FMC who loves to say no, which is not one of Dutton's favorite words lol.
I enjoyed the push and pull of their relationship. He definitely loved to push the boundaries and Poise slowly let her guard down which was hard for her considering her past with her ex which you'll learn about.
The plot was good, the spice was spicing and I enjoyed both the characters and their story. I recommend this read!
Tropes: single mom billionaire grumpy boss He Falls First Dual POV
Promiscuous Lies is book 2 in the Vengeful Lies series and it can be read as a standalone (but honestly, don't miss out on Eli's book 1 lol). I went into this book having reservations about the MMC Dutton. I can't lie about that. Dutton was the annoying, very grumpy cousin in book 1 and I wasn't sure how he would win me over. BUT BOY DID HE!
Dutton runs an assortment of businesses (his family is the mafia btw) but his main business is an elite Gentleman's Club. He's known as a grump, very protective of his family- especially his little sister, ruthless, and a killer. He has no plans to ever settle down, instead focusing on growing the family business. That is until Posie takes the stage.
Literally. Posie is a part-time dancer at Dutton's club. She's also a single mother who's afraid of letting in anyone close- girl has skeletons in her closet in the name of abusive ex-assholes. When Dutton lays eyes on Posie, it's game over, although neither of them know it. He's demanding and she's sassy. Posie is a woman that Dutton isn't use to. She's not afraid to tell him to screw off or No.
I love Posie. Not only because I respect the heck out of her being a single mom doing what she needs to do to survive and care for her child, but she doesn't let men- especially one that has power- intimidate her. She's strong, smart, and knows how to swing a baseball bat.
Dutton. I didn't know I'd love you but I'm so glad I was wrong. You might have felt awkward talking to Bentley, Posie's son, but you quickly stepped up and was there for him. Also, why do I keep finding these killer mafia men sexy? LOL I just love how quickly you softened up for Posie compared to the Dutton I first met. It was almost immediately, whether you realized it or not. She's the ying to your yang and you can happily stab a man for me any day haha.
Yay! 5⭐️ I just love Dutton and Posie’s story. First, both characters possessed physical beauties. That’s just what I understand while reading the material. Oh, I love the FMC’s personalities - feisty, bratty mouth, kind, beautiful not just physically but deep inside and a caring and loving single mom. Yep, single mom but somehow she rocked as being a sexy stripper and her boss Dutton was cautious, calculated and mysterious man. I just knew it when I read him on the first book. He’s not just easily persuaded but in this book focuses on him and boy I just love him to pieces. Caught his attention to the bratty mouth of Posie who didn’t give a fudge as long as she’s doing her job. Their banter and dynamic was great that’s what I became to like the characters. Their story was not created in a fast pace. Meaning, you get to feel their feelings both where they started to create a deeper relation, not just their sexual attraction but deeper than that. I tell you every time I read each pages it gave me giddies. The spicy was divine! That’s why I didn’t hesitate to rate this one of my top 5’s bec the characters, plots and spiciness was balance. Pleasantly achieved my expectations of dark romance 🥰 No OW was involved or talked which I thanked the author about that but OM was mentioned since it was part of the plots and yes he was a jerk. So no resentments here in this book.
Trope - billionaire romance, boss × employee, mafia romance, stripper FMC × club owner MMC, sassy FMC, grumpy MMC, dark romance, forbidden, forced proximity, sweet for her, hate to love, banter, he falls first and hard, kinky, morally grey MMC, single mom, grief, touch her and die, workplace, steamy, suspense, HEA Bonus chapter - 1
Honestly, I was not excited for Dutton's book, but I'm grateful that I find it hard to skip books in a series because, OMG, this was one good book.
Posie works as a stripper in Dutton's gentleman club. They had never crossed paths until he reminded his team of the policy where he likes to meet all his employees, enter Posie, the sexy, sassy stripper/dancer, who would not follow orders or let him control her.
I loved Posie; her sassy attitude was what I lived for. A FMC who is a normal human being, but will also not let a strong mafia man control her? SIGN ME UP!!! Even though her name was not my favourite, her attitude and personality sure were. I loved her character. She showed Dutton his place not once but multiple times. She was also a good mother; the way she always prioritised her child showed how pure her heart was. She was not a dangerous kind of badass like Jewel, but she was her own kind, a kind that only unleashed when required.
For such a cold-hearted 'non-commitment guy,' Dutton sure as hell fell hard and over heels for her in no time. THIS MAN WAS OBSESSED, not in a pussy-whipped way, but in a loving, caring way. He was so damn soft around and towards her; it was refreshing to watch him behave that way, especially after how controlling Eli was in book 1. He was also so patient around her. Yes, he was dominant during their intimate times, but except for those moments, he made sure she was the QUEEN of the world, who controlled their relationship because he made sure she was always comfortable and that her needs were a priority. And he was so damn HOT when he went all protective for her, especially when her fucking ex came back into the picture. DAMN, DUTTON DIDN'T LET ANYONE FUCK AROUND HIS FAMILY!
Never thought there would be a day when Dutton, a man who loved control and never let anyone touch him, would let his woman hit him multiple times with many objects when she was pissed. This man was whipped in a way you cannot imagine; he adored and loved Posie even before he was able to realise it. OH MAN, I was not prepared for this kind of emotion from Dutton's book. He was also a persistent man because even after multiple failed proposals, he didn't give up but kept going until he got the response he wanted. His confession and proposal killed and grounded me, like OMG, he sure as hell knew how to win a woman's heart. He thought he was not worthy of love, but he had so much of it stored within him for the people he cared about. It brought me absolute joy to see him get his happy ending.
The chemistry and tension between them were sizzling, and the spice was SPICYYY!!
Side characters- 1. The Taylor family was so much more exciting and loving than the Montis, and I liked them so much. They were the definition of dangerous but sweet, the way they not only openly accepted Posie and Bentley but also left no chance to show her that. 2. Once again, the Ivanov twins were fun and added so much to the plot. 3. Dawson and Honey's relationship was so beautiful; no wonder Dutton knew how to love and respect his partner - his parents set up a good standard for him. 4. Billie and Ford getting caught not once but twice? Haha, I can't wait for their book. 5. Bentley was such a sweet little boy. _________________________
The REVENGE was so damn satisfying to read. I loved how the family came together in the end to show their support. The proposal was so damn beautiful, but I loved how Dutton almost caught Billie and Ford together; can't wait for that couple!
Bentley calling Dutton Dad wasn't on my bingo list, but it was one great addition - oh, I cried a little.
The bonus epilogue was AHHH so fun; I just hope there isn't too much drama when the truth is uncovered.
T.L. Smith & Kia Carrington-Russell have absolutely SMASHED the 2nd gen from the Lethal Vows series! These men are just as morally grey and possessive as their fathers and the love they have for their women is UNMATCHED!
This is the second book in the Vengeful Lies series, and the story of Posie and Dutton. Listen…I’m not ashamed to say…I may be more in love with Posie than I was Dutton. If there is one thing these two authors do FLAWLESSLY, it’s creating strong, fearless and bad a-$$ FMCs that will take NO 🗑️ from anyone…including the men in their life. Posie is on the run from her ex and making a new life for her and her son , Bentley. Posie is a MOM first, and her son is always her number one priority. She starts working at the Pearl, an invitation only gentleman’s club as a dancer to put a roof over their heads and food on the table.
Enter, Dutton Taylor. Ruthless owner of the Pearl. The minute he meets Posie he’s hooked. Why? She doesn’t realise who he is and calls him a jerk and tells him to kick rocks. Love at first insult 🤭 Dutton DOES NOT socialise or fraternise with ANY OF HIS EMPLOYEES…but with Posie, it’s different. He doesn’t want her dancing. Doesn’t want anyone looking let alone touching her. So…he offers her a non dancer job at higher pay on the condition she goes on a date with him. She agrees, but the date never happens because they can’t keep their hands off each other 🥵
Posie halls walls built up stronger than Fort Knox and for good reason. She’s escaping one bad situation and Dutton is a giant RED FLAG, given his position in the mafia and involvement with various MC clubs. But…over time he shows her that despite his grey morals , he is the man to love and protect not just her but her son.
This story is delicious in every way. The perfect combination of all my favorite tropes. I’m HOOKED! I can’t wait for the next book ! 🖤🖤
🪩Enemies to Lovers 🥃Grumpy Boss 🪩Single Mother 🥃Billionaire 🪩Sassy Heroine 🥃He Falls First 🪩She Makes Him WORK For It 🥃Dark Mafia Romance 🪩Found Family 🥃Boss x Employee
Thoughts 💭: the story had potential, the characters together were decent I wished there was more of a smoother transition in their relationship. The story felt a bit repetitive too. Also I have the same complaint I do about all single parent books, they barely show any scenes with the kid and it always feels like the kid is just an accessory instead of an actual character in the book, I’m still waiting to find a book where they actually show the development of the relationship with the kid and the love interest, like show me the mmc being a good dad to the child give those scenes ughhh
I normally wouldn’t go for a book with the tropes mentioned in the description, but I honestly couldn’t skip a sequel to Vengeful Lies. And I’m glad I did, as I’ve enjoyed it quite a lot! I really loved the characters and the idea behind the book, but I had some troubles with the plot itself. I know that when I pick up a romance book, it’s going to be far from reality, but this one felt so far, it lacked credibility almost in everything. Things were going a bit too smooth, the relationship was rushed a lot… Moreover, while finishing the first part, I felt a bit detached from the story during the last chapters. I thought it might’ve just been me lazy to finish a book (which normally doesn’t happen), but here I had the same exact thoughts. I’ve read like 80% of the book in a day (which says a lot about how well-paced it was!), but it took me 2 days to get myself to finish the story. In any case, I really liked the vibes I got while reading the book, so I would definitely recommend it!!
I absolutely loved everything about Promiscuous Lies. The banter. The sass. The possessiveness. The spice. And best of all DUTTON & POSIE! They are the perfect match for each other. Every interaction they had was *chefs kiss* I really enjoyed the characters from Vengeful Lies (book1) coming over into this one. There's nothing i didn't love about this book.
It's Duttons turn and the first time he meets Poisie, she's unaware of who he is so he thinks that's why she doesn't do as she's bid. He soon realises that he brings out the sass in her as well as the determination to put him in his place!
I really liked it, there's banter with these two and you can feel the attraction and I could easily read more on them and I'm excited for what comes next. 4.5
Dutton, you are my newest book boyfriend, and I'm not sure anyone will replace you! You are an unhinged, red flag flying psycho and I adore you! This series is going from fantastic to spectacular! The writing is phenomenal. The characters are well thought out, with their own individual idiosyncrasies and storylines that are engaging! This is fast becoming my favourite series of all time!
