Rate this book
People only knew one thing about the old man on the hill—that he was a recluse, a shut in, who
had been collecting things and storing them in his mansion for years. A place that once housed dying
patients.
On his death, the State of Nebraska, inherited the large estate and all they wanted was to sell
the old man’s items. It was rumored that the collection was worth a fortune.
So, they hired the most prominent art dealer in the world, named Elizabeth Young. A fierce
woman known to bring top dollar for each and every piece by the likes of Michelangelo, Van Gogh,
Rembrandt, Monet, and a host of others. What made her so special was the LIST. A very elite clientele of
billionaires who’d follow her to any auction.
Now, the 5 billionaires and a last-minute stranger with a past will be the first to ever step foot in
the mansion and lay eyes on paintings and objects that have never been seen before.
The bidders are hungry to devour the collection
But the collection has its own secret
Afterall, it’s been years since its seen human flesh and they’ve been waiting patiently.

From the very first page of this book, I was hooked—and honestly slightly terrified. Fazli weaves a chilling tale that not only had me on the edge of my seat, but made me genuinely question whether I’d be able to sleep soundly at night. If you're a fan of spine-tingling thrillers and horror, this book will leave you haunted in the best way. Just when you don't think things can get creepier, you are proven oh so wrong.

What really sets this book apart from his previous work is the atmosphere. His previous work was way more thriller but the seamless transition into a new genre is so impressive, the versatility in Fazli's writing is undeniable (and I can't wait to read more in the future no matter what the genre is). The writing is so vivid that I found myself not wanting to turn off all the lights in the house at night alone. The tension with every page was never ending, even in the quietest moments. You truly can feel the terror as this story progresses.

And the ending?!?!? THE EEEEEENDIIIIIIING!!!! No spoilers but OH MY GOD!!
