College brings new classmates, new challenges, and a new phase in their relationship. The third volume of the fan-favorite BL manhwa turned K-drama, now in print for the first time.
As they graduate from high school and prepare for university, Haebom and Taesung have not only rekindled their friendship—they’re officially a couple! Haebom is blissfully happy, but he also feels more pressure than ever. He and Taesung still have to hide their relationship, and Haebom is determined to do well in school and repay Taesung’s mother for her generosity.
Taesung secures a place for them to live together, and they start their freshman year of college, where Haebom finds himself distracted by all the girls drawn to Taesung. Little does Haebom know that someone sinister has their eyes on him, too. As they navigate a whirlwind of unexpected events and complicated emotions, can Haebom and Taesung weather the storm of this new chapter in their relationship?
Volume 3 includes episodes 31–45 of the webcomic Cherry Blossoms After Winter.
Haebom being on the cover is fitting, because he really shines in this volume. While the pacing is still a little choppy, this was an excellent comeback after the previous volume's disappointing relationship development (or lack thereof).
Some is still oddly fast-paced: we rush straight to college and to the two of them living together, with Taesung (literally) calling in a favor to get his dad to buy him a condo near their school. I did like the tension between Taesung and his mother, with her being upset that he'd bypassed her, and him apologizing for not speaking to her about it beforehand, but also firmly pointing out that he's allowed to speak to his own father. Divorce doesn't mean the kids are supposed to lose a parent in the process.
It didn't make a lot of sense for his mother to tour the condo, being surprised by its small size and only one bed...and then just going "well okay then" when Taesung says "it's because it's only a one bedroom." Okay?? It's still one bed?? His statement didn't change anything at all about her confusion/objection. It's not that I wanted her to make a huge deal out of it, by why even include that scene if nothing was going to come of it.
The rest of the volume is pretty typical college-life stuff, with the usual group projects, and a completely pointless school trip that only lasted a few pages. But I liked how much Haebom is starting to come into his own now that he's in a relationship with Taesung and out of a house where he'd always felt like an unwelcome visitor. Loved that he was the one taking initiative to kiss Taesung.
Taesung is still too closed-off for me to fully be buying into this relationship, but now that Haebom is a little less terrified of speaking his mind, he's opening up more communication that will help their relationship to grow. And I liked that while there were a couple of potential jealousy storylines in this one, neither was that big of a deal.
The girl with a crush on Taesung was an interesting addition, because she showed her true, rather nasty colors once she was rejected. Haebom is learning that not everyone is how they appear on the surface, or portray themselves to others. And he gains himself a creepy stalker, who may or may not be fully resolved by the end of this volume. (The stalker does still have a photoshopped image of Taesung and Haebom kissing, but I guess he's so widely despised by the school that he wouldn't gain much by sharing it? He'd only wanted to use it to blackmail Haebom into doing things with him.)
Not the most amazing series thus far, but this volume did improve some. I like seeing Haebom going after what he wants, and that shoes comment was wildly smooth.
Rereading this brings me so much joy! Even if this volume has the creep upperclassman.
Recap: they move out together when they go to college. Taesung gets his dad to get him the apartment. In school no one knows their history, girls hit on Taesung, Haebom gets talked into bringing another girl to lunch so she can hit on Taesung but TS quickly turns her away. Creep escalates. Volume ends with everyone hearing the creep demand Haebom show him his chest.
I feel like this plot was trying to go somewhere new, but it felt a bit flat to me. Everything was quite sudden and the twists came very quickly but had little impact. Maybe the next volume will make better use of them, I'm not sure.
I loved the 3ed instrument it’s so cute I can’t wait to read the 4th one. There was a lot more misunderstandings between the boys but they made up and I love there friend he was so sweet then we had that fucking weirdo can ppl not be nice ffs. But over all I loved it!

We can't be friends if someone doesn't likes this manhwa. This volume was mostly cute other than that creepy stalker. Also that other girl, I don't even remember her name, stop being so petty.
This one is okay. I wanted more cute between our couple and really we only got other people drama in I wanted cute dates and more cute confession of how much they like each other.
I'm really liking this series. Things got a little more serious in this volume with a creepy guy but the relationship between our two MCs is really sweet so far.
