I've had many jobs in my life. I bagged groceries in high school to pay for gas, fast food burgers, and yes...cigarettes and beer. I joined the Army and spent three years in Germany, learning how to stay awake during guard duty and how to be somewhat responsible. I was an electrician for a while, which gave me a good appreciation for what it feels like to get shocked. I decided, after getting zapped one too many times, to go back to school. While I was working as an electrician I had a daughter born with cerebral palsy. She is the best thing to have happened to me. I decided to stay home and take care of her after she had surgery to help her be able to walk and during that time I read a book so bad that I wanted to see if I could do better. Turns out I could, I found that I loved to write and I wasn't all that bad at it. Fast forward a few years and I have now finished five novels (one is nearing the end of the editing process) and a short story about Santa fighting zombies!
I've done a lot of things, but writing is in my soul, I hope you take the time to give my books a chance, I don't think you will be disappointed.
I love a good Western, and I love Horror, so when you merge them into one, I'm all in, and that's what Marcus Abshire has done here with Jerico (no H). Jerico is a quiet, friendly town that has become a sanctuary for many. Until recently. Now, things are happening in Jerico. Awful, terrifying things. People are being killed, people are missing, and one man is sent to investigate. Enter Eli Knox. Eli has had it tough. His wife and daughter were killed in the war, and Eli took revenge on anyone and everyone he could. That, unfortunately included some innocent people. In an attempt to make amends for such, Eli came to realize that forgiveness was not free. Now, he has come to Jerico to face the darkness that has spread over the people of this town, and to try to save them. But is it too late for salvation? For the town AND for Eli? Mr. Abshire has written a crackerjack of a Horror Western. His characters and dialogue, all on point. I recommend this to anyone who likes Westerns, Horror, or, like me, both.
Jerico is the perfect town. People come there for sanctuary. But something has changed in the town. People are going missing, and it's going to get worse. The town has one hope a man who has lost everything. Chilling horror western. Edge of your seat read.
A perfect combination of western and horror,Eli Knox arrives in the town of Jericho seeking revenge for his wife and daughter, but the town has a very dark and violent secret, a fantastic read!
First horror book ever! I am the biggest baby when it comes to horror stuff especially! Spiders! This book was very good tho! For sure gonna be feeling the spiders for a while but I loved the twist and turns and the plot was chef kiss. If you aren't huge into horror and want to try it I would highly reccomend this and if you do like horror also give this a read! You won't regret it!
