The Life, Style and Music of Chappel Roan was an ABSOLUTE joy to read, and a title that my public library youth have been itching for!!!! This title is the PERFECT blend of text and photos. Even as a super fan, the chronicling of her life was still engaging to read and new tidbits revealed themselves throughout. This collection of information is perfect for new fans, old fans, and complete strangers to her music alike, as her journey is a fascinating modern tale of breaking free from internal homophobia, exploring the world, and learning to love yourself and release your truest form. Chappel is an unbelievable story and talent that i feel so lucky to share the same timeline with, and this book is a wonderful collection of her journey. It’s going to be a joy for kids to read now, and an important piece of history captured for the future.

Over this past 6 months or so I have become a Chappell Roan fan, love her voice and her songs. While as a middle aged woman I am not the target audience for this biography I still grabbed it on NetGalley. Great photos of her various looks, her upbringing and influences and her songwriting process. Definitely a good read for any of her fans out there.
