Meh, this MMM short story is only decent. There really isn’t any kind of a plot and its focus is on the smut. However, the smut wasn’t really decent or good enough to call this a smutty novella - in my opinion. The author did a lot of insinuating with the sex scenes and the ones that were included weren’t super descriptive. I would say 1.5/5 peppers on the spice scale. The only thing this short story did well was including body issues with a plus sized MMC. The struggle that he faces to believe his body is great the way it is and that the two NHL players believe he’s crazy sexy. Those voices are hard to squash and I think that struggle was captured well. Had a hard time visualizing the character himself, but the message came across just fine. So I wouldn’t toss this one to the side, but come in with low expectations.

The three, two NHL hockey players and the boyfriend of one of them, are planning to spend the 4th July holiday weekend at one of Jax's family's holiday retreats. It promises to be time for Draper and Cloyce to finally have some quality time together and for Cloyce to get to know Jax who is Draper's best friend, has been since they were six years old!
Draper and Jax are close, always have been, they are hockey players so they are well built, confident and strong. When Draper met Cloyce for the first time and asked for the other man's number Cloyce thought about it, after all he doubted Draper would get in touch. Cloyce has body insecurities, the result of too much bullying when he was younger and harsh treatment from the couple of relationships he has had. But Draper only sees a man he adores, is falling in love with, finds incredibly sexy.
Arriving at the cabin and not seeing any sign of Jax the pair take advantage of their apparent alone time and it's great, then Jax walks in and there are unexpected results. There is also Cloyce hiding under the bed sheets, trying to overcome his embarrassment. He needn't worry, Jax is as enamoured with him as Draper is and the pair, in an alone moment, recall a conversation about one day having a throuple. Jax wonders if this could be the right time, right person... Surprisingly Cloyce agrees to try it and the result. The result is steamy, hot and steamy, incredibly sexy and beautiful.
There is a moment, well a period of time for the three when bigoted idiots, and the press, mostly the press, try to make out that what the three of them have is unnatural and a handful of people don't stick with them but those who do, they do and reader I hope you will too, this is an exceptionally beautiful romance, throuples are incredibly beautiful and to prove it this story links us back to the first title in the Hot Summer series...

This is the second book in the Hot Summer series and it can be enjoyed as a standalone read. This book is a poly MMM novella. Great for a quick escape or reading on the beach. This is the story of Draper Fassmacher, Cloyce Delgaty and Jax Anderson. Draper is a NHL player whose size is meant to intimidate. Cloyce is his boyfriend of eight months. Cloyce is a teacher and is very self-conscious about his body size. Being plus sized, he has been bullied and hurt by thoughtless people. To this day, he still has trouble believing that Draper is actually attracted to him and not embarrassed by him. Good thing Draper is more than happy to reinforce how much he loves Cloyce and is attracted to him. Jax is another fairly large NHL player. He is Draper's best friend since childhood. They are also teammates. The three of them decide to spend the July 4th weekend together. Since Draper and Cloyce arrive at the cabin early, they decide to take advantage of the alone time granted them. Unfortunately, they weren't early enough and Jax walks in on them. Cloyce is mortified that Jax saw him without clothes on. But the incident sparks a discussion about the possibility of a threesome. This is their story. The book is easy to read. I liked how they all communicated really well. I especially liked how Cloyce finally starts to get some positive confidence in his body. A nice addition to this series.

I loved this book. It was such a fun, steamy quick romance. I loved Cloyce, his boyfriend Draper, and Draper's childhood best friend Jax. I really got invested in these guys and felt like I got to know them well for such a short story. Cloyce was very relatable, a chubby nerd with some body insecurities from past experiences because of his size.
'I try my best to drown out the nagging whispers telling me I'm fat and unlovable and really make an effort to believe him.'
Draper chose him, was open and honest, and clearly very attracted to Cloyce. Because he's in the NHL and traveling a lot for games, their relationship is long distance but you can feel they have a strong foundation.
Draper and Jax have such a strong bond, too, over their many years as friends and what Jax's family did for him. One heated night years ago they admitted to wanting to share a man together. Draper knows that Cloyce is the man for him and would love to share him with Jax- the second most important person in his life. But with Cloyce being so shy and still battling his own insecurities, would he be interested, let alone allow himself to take a chance?
I loved this book. Their chemistry was hot! I wish it were longer. I'm not ready to let these guys go. 5 stars.

I loved that we had a glimpse of the throuple of the previous book: Stellan, Bailey and Duke have become close friend to Draper, Jax and Cloyce and I would have loved to see more of them all together.
I hope this series is not concluded and that we have more in the future.

Well, this is one hot read.
Cloyce and Draper were getting away for the 4th of July. Staying with Draper‘s best friend Jax’s. Cloyce is a school teacher and Draper is a NHL hockey player. Cloyce is a plus size guy who has difficulties with his body. He had been hurt so many times because of his size so when Draper who came to his school to talk about being a hockey player took interest in him and asked for his phone number, he thought he was just being nice. But Draper was head over heels in love with Cloyce. So when they get to the cabin and realise that Jax isn’t there yet they become hot and passionate on the sofa only for Jax’s to walk in and watch. Cloyce is horrified because he can’t imagine how disgusted Jaxs would be to see his body. But as it turns out, it really turned Jax’s on.
So what would happen now??
This is one hot passionate Read. These three cannot keep their hands off each other, but what I really enjoyed was how Cloyce changed. Finally accepting himself for who he is and what I also really like was that he made sure all three of them communicated well so there was no misunderstandings down the line. A thoroughly enjoyable read.

Like the first book, this was a really short story. This was an ok story but definitely not as good as the first book. The plot was very bare. I liked the MCs well enough but none of them really made me love them. Compared to the throuple in book 1 that had amazing chemistry, this throuple that had prior connections and there was none that didn't feel forced. Again if you are just looking for a quick read that is steamy and angst free then maybe you will enjoy this but I need more connection. The one plus I can say is I was happy with Cloyces character development with him getting more confident.

An extended holiday weekend turns into the beginning of an incredibly hot encounter between Jax, Draper, and his boyfriend Cloyce. Jax and Draper revealed in the past that they would love to share someone together. Could Cloyce be their ONE?? I loved how even though Cloyce wasn't super fit that he found the confidence to embrace the fact that two totally hot hockey players thought he was perfection. The way that Jax and Draper worshiped Cloyce's body was incredibly sexy. Becoming a throuple isn't easy, but being able to wake up next to each other everyday makes all the drama surrounding it, worthwhile! This was a very quick, steamy read!

This is very short. Basically hockey god dating plus sized teacher. They decide to go away for the weekend with another hockey player/best friend. He catches them having sex and they remember that both guys said they'd like to share a guy together, so ... they do. I appreciated that Cloyce (what a name) had body issues given he's with ripped players, but they always let him know he was perfect as he was. They get outed to the press as a throuple and face a lot of backlash, both guys retiring after winning the Stanley Cup so they can be together. So it was fine and pretty typical for the series.

This book has no point an no plot. Everything happens off page, except for half of the smut. I don’t know what I expected after reading the blurb, but more than I got. How did the og couple meet? We have no idea.
I applaud the author for including a bigger mc. But saying he’s scared of the jiggling during sex… That’s not helping either. Then of course they meet another throuple. And the small guys need their big hockey men to save them. 🤢
So am I going to reread or recommend? No. Have I read the other book in the series back to back? Yup 🤣

HOT, HOT, HOT! Cloyce and Draper are boyfriends enjoying a fun fourth weekend at the lake. Draper and Jax are best friend NHL hockey players. Jax and Draper once idly speculated about having a threesome. When Jax accidentally step in on Cloyce and Draper relating, the idle thoughts resurface and present an opportunity. The author, does an amazing job not making things awkward or icky. Cloyce Draper and Jax are three delightful funny hot men.Casey, humanizes our men and makes them relatable and sweet. Another great novella in the series
I mentioned in my review on book 1 that I read these out of order and while I enjoyed book 1, it wasn’t as much as book 3. This book is up there with book 3. The author packed so much in this novella. For the first time, I read a book with a male character with body issues everyone can relate to. Also there wasn’t just a huge HEA on this. The epilogue shows that no matter how happy you may be there are always judgmental people trying to interfere but while you can get past it, it’s not easy

The main problem here was the high similarity to the first book in the series. Even though the characters and the scenario were slightly different, the relationship dynamic was exactly the same dynamic, and the differences were not meaningful enough to avoid a constant feeling of deja-vu. The sex scenes were also pretty uninspired.

Well this is such a body positive throple damn, that part really played on my heart strings, how Cloyce battled himself and how Draper and Jax treated him &@$¥
However, despite not anticipating that, as most novellas it wasn’t a strong on cohesive plot part which is perfectly fine but the spice was disappointing :(

I love how Cloyce started to love his body in this story. I love the trio. I'm just a bit side that unlike the first series, they encountered so many difficulties, it wasn't elaborated but reading through the narratives makes my heart ache for the three. They don't deserve the hate from the netizens.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I liked the way the three way relationship started and turned to love for Cloyce, Draper and Jax. I liked how they made it work.

Draper and Cloyce are in a new relationship. They go to one of Jax's family summer homes. When the three of them get there things change and for the better. This is a cute and sexy romance where the three men find what they're looking for.

3 MMC's some very hot scenes, like yes please I want to be in your place. No slow build between characters, spice within the first few chapters, all spicy words and endearing moments and very hot scenes.
