From the gorgeous cover, the blurb, to the author, as soon as it hit publish, I hit purchase.

RATING: 3.5 stars
I’m conflicted with this one so I’ll have to review it in two half’s, the first half was slow going and made for some rough reading because I was floundering and not fully focused and not wanting to DNF I pushed through.

If you're in the mood for drama (especially the other woman's drama) and some angst this book might be for you (I think!!).
Anyway, I enjoyed some parts and didn't like some 🤷🏻‍♀️
(I lost interest after the 60~70% mark).
______

Safety:

Spoiler ahead

— Age gap (?)
— Arranged marriage
— He falls first and harder.
— Obsessive, possessive and jealous MMC.
— Very caring and thoughtful MMC.
— The H is an asshole but not that bad.
— The h has a backbone but sometimes she acts childish. However, I like her personality.
— No Virgins (no info about the MCs’ past).
— OMD : Lots of jealousy.
— OWD :
There is a lot of misunderstanding and it’s for most of the book (it took a long time because the H didn't explain anything to the h 🤦🏻‍♀️)

~ Slight OW1 : There is a woman (Ann-Marie) the h thought she was the H's mistress (the relationship between the H & OW wasn’t explained at all! But no I believe she wasn’t his mistress, they were friendly and I don't know if there was anything between them in the past or not, as I mentioned above the H's past wasn’t mentioned but I like to believe that he wasn't intimate with her!! at least not after his marriage to the h bc he only has eyes for her). Anyway, she showed up at the beginning of the book and then just disappeared 🤷🏻‍♀️.

~ OW2 : The H was married before the h (the h didn't know, his marriage to ow was secret and no one knew that! only the h and those close to the H know the truth and to the world they think ow is the H’s little sister). He divorced OW right after his contract with the h, OW is still living in the H's house and this causes a lot of drama between the MCs (this OW cause minor drama but the h is the one who causes all the drama). The H never touched or kissed OW and their marriage was only on paper (there's a reason why he married ow it's part of the plot so I won't spoil it (although I didn't understand why he did that) but don't worry, there is nothing intimate between him and ow at all).

The h and ow later become friends and I think she will be one of the next FMCs of this series.

— No scenes with other people/cheating
— Push from the h.
— The H is the one who pursues the relationship.
— No 3rd act break up
— HFN

Wow, this is so chaotic, and I mean that in the worst way possible. The writing was all over the place, the transitions were sloppy as crap, and some lines were just cringeworthy and eye-roll inducing. 🤧

I've never felt so dumb while reading this. It's English, but I seriously couldn't understand most of what went on here. I freaking lost the plot because there are so many things happening at the same time, mixed in with countless side characters whose roles I just can't grasp. It was an absolute mess. 🥴

This is supposed to be a standalone, but it really doesn't come across like one. I definitely felt like I was missing some things, and honestly, it was far from a good experience. I still can't believe I actually finished this. It's beyond me how I pulled it off.

Overall, it just didn't work for me. I obviously made an effort since I completed it. But tbh, I really wish I had just given up instead of forcing myself to continue. 🤦‍♀️️

This author has always been a I'll read whatever she writes author, but lately I feel like her books are not just giving me what they used to.

More than 50% of this book was a whole bunch of nothing, now I'll say that it was a bunch of interesting nothing, but nothing all the same. You have the MFC who is actually kind of annoying 👉🏽👈🏽 She agrees to a contract at the time of her own free will and then complains about it the whole entire time. She Is expected to be this strong person but then second guesses everything and feels like a shadow to her sister. But then can throw a knife like a pro... Ok.

I don't think Meagan executed this trope very well as far as arranged marriages go. I also don't like how Boston and enzo didn't really have a lead up to their love, he was literally gone all the time except for some occasional breakfasts and random events. He was way too Territorial and y'all are eating it all up. I'm all for a touch her and I'll kill you mmc But she literally couldn't even leave the house. She was locked in a bedroom and y'all like that?!
What was the whole point of having that Ana chick in the beginning.. she just disappeared... Like people were just threw into the mix... No back story no end story, there one minute gone the next.

I absolutely hate how secretive her characters are becoming. I understand holding things back for the greater good, but literally when a simple conversation can solve everybody's issues and you're holding it back for no true reason for the sake of suspense and that makes no sense to me.
Enzo not explaining to his "little bride" upfront why he was married to somebody else prior to her doesn't make sense. His first bride antagonizing Boston? What was the reason?
Bringing Collins back so they could have a villain who wasn't really a villain per se. Doesn't make sense, like what exactly is his story on why he decided to become the person he did. Why do the Brayshaws even care what he's doing? He isn't in their Territory . Idk. I have so many other questions and I feel like all these five star ratings are not giving what they need to give because while the book was decent, it really wasn't anything more than a three star book if that. The book was good enough that I didn't want to put down but like in a train wreck kind of way. I feel like the plot at the end was forced, rushed and kind of a let down.

I couldn't even care for the plot because the other woman drama distracted me so much. His excuse was and wasn't reasonable. I understand why he kept her, I don't understand why he couldn't communicate that to his wife before humiliating her. He gets jealous at the drop of a hat but if the roles were reverse and she married him whilst still living with her ex-husband, I'm sure he'd be losing it. The double standards weren't for me.

“You know what a knife can’t cut, a bullet can’t pierce, and a fire can’t burn?” He slides his lips along mine, and I shiver at the feeling. “Love, baby. So, tell yourself you’re not mine, fight me, push me, but it won’t matter…because you’re going to love me either way.”

Aaahhh I am swooning and smiling so hard right now! Enzo Freaking Fikile! This book right here, is why I will ALWAYS be a Meagan Brandy girl!!!! Have Mercy!!!!

I devour everything Meagan writes and I absolutely loved Tempting Little Thief, but Enzo and Boston just took the top spot! (I’m still hopefully devoted to my Big Man and the Brays, don’t worry 😉) But holy tension! Holy hotness! The things this man would say to her, I’m in a puddle of love goo over here.

Boston always felt like second best. Her entire life, her sister Rocklin was the prize and she was background noise, until she decided to go to the one and only Enzo Fikile and make a deal. A marriage of convenience so to speak. Thinking it was her turn to take her life into her own hands, but little did she know, she stepped into so much more than she could’ve ever hoped for.

Every single time they were in a room together, I didn’t even realize I was holding my breath until the chapter ended. The tension between these two was palpable. You could taste it. I enjoyed every second of this book, even when I was frustrated, I was like yessss give me more. Go and download this book right now! You’re gonna love it! P.S. There are very special cameos in this book that you won’t want to miss!

Glad I read it, but....

Story: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Trope: forced proximity
Angst: 😱😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥

I absolutely loved Tempting Little Thief and had high hopes for this one, but I struggled with this one a bit. It was a little slow in the beginning, but luckily ramped right up with tons of angst and lots of action. My main problem was that I was confused by what was going on at points and had to go back to make sure I didn't miss something. I don't know if it was my menopause brain or what, lol. Anyway, despite all that, I'm glad I read it and REALLY looking forward to Katana's book!

The first 50% of this was INSANELY slow, boring and included no actual story. I genuinely don’t know why I didn’t DNF it. The last half picked up pace, but it still had zero story. It was dumb as a sock full of crackers, and the poster child for disjointed scenes and (minimal) plot points. This is someone who had a deadline, apparently wrote by stream of consciousness, and felt good putting this waste of time out into the world. She used to be great for escapism, but she also used to make an effort.

I haven't been fcked up by a Meagan Brandy book like this since..well Brayshaw. Be ready to lose your ever loving mind with Bad Little Bride. Be ready to get your mind blown by Meagan Brandy. My first top read of 2025 and the year hasn't even started yet. Obsessed. Addicted. Crazy for Enzo and Boston. You have one job on January 7th. One click, sit down and devour this book in one sitting. Fair warning, you will be ignoring the real world for a while once you start it.

💍arranged marriage/ marriage of convenience
💍 enemies to lovers
💍 mafia/ organized crime/ secret organization
💍 forced proximity
💍 jealous possessive Alpha hero to the extremes + bada&& heroine
💍 touch her and d1e vibe
💍 action & suspense & twists
💍 hot hot hot 🔥 🥵

I cannot believe I am saying something blasphemous like this. But Enzo might have replaced Royce as my top Meagan Brandy man. IYKYK. This marriage started as contract between two enemies. Boston needed this marriage to solidify her place in this world of power where she was always the second choice, after her sister. She made the deal with the devil. But what she didn't know that this contract will become a much bigger and more complex and finally something life altering. Oh my heart, Enzo is absolute perfection. He is so hard and dangerous and edgy. He has claimed a spot in this world with Greysons by his strength, cunningness and struggles. But Boston is his ultimate prize. Not because what Boston believes. He wants her. For herself. For her sass and fire and sweetness and fierceness. He wants her to be his queen but he had a lot of work to do.

Because how do one tame and own someone like Boston? She is the bada&& but she doesn't sometimes believes it herself. She was trained to be the perfect mafia princess but she is as lethal and intelligent as her husband. You walk right into a power battle. With twists. With secrets unfolding and emotions raging and passion burning. Enzo will go to crazy extent to make Boston fully understand that she belongs to him. And more importantly, he belongs to her. My jaw hurts from hitting the floor way too many times. Their chemistry is just unbelievable. They clash and collide and ignite and you are just here for the ride. Enzo will burn the world down and destroy every little thing causing her pain and it was so fcling hot. She finally found the man she deserves. Who will worship her but also dominate her body. Who will break her only to put her pieces together into a better stronger version. Who will slay her demons but also let her walk right beside him in a battle.

Brayshaw series changed my life as a romance reader. And Bad Little Bride did it again.

PS the cameos!!! Omg it was insane. No spoilers but you will be crying throwing up losing your sh1t once you know.

❤️‍🔥 “There is no one I need more. No one I trust as completely. It’s you and me, baby. Through the fires of hell, I will stand by your side. Always.” ❤️‍🔥

If you’re a sucker for the marriage of convenience trope, this dark romance will have you hooked! Enzo (MMC) is a bossy alpha-male to the core, and I loved how his secrets slowly started to unravel, always keeping me on my toes, trying to piece everything together. 🤭

Boston (FMC) is an absolute badass, never apologizing for who she is. Her feisty attitude and smart-ass comebacks keep Enzo on his toes, constantly challenging him. Even though her behavior stems from insecurity and a need to differentiate herself from her twin, Enzo sees right through it and is determined to make things right.

This book came in HOT! 🥵

Misscomunication and plotholes - The book.

Honesly I couldn’t maintain the suspension of disbelief and struggled with the pacing and clarity of the story.

The narrative often felt disjointed, with abrupt transitions that left me confused. I just did not understand some scenes.

Miscommunication was overused, which made connecting with the characters difficult. Then there were characters who seemed to drop in from either a previous book or one of the author’s other works—without any context. And let’s talk about the villain—or lack thereof, because well, there wasn’t one. Unless, of course, you count unresolved issues, untreated trauma, oversimplified mental health struggles, family drama, or the MMC’s over-the-top possessiveness.

There were some entertaining moments. The FMC deciding to stab everyone was iconic. The MMC being, well, a very horny dog was hilarious, though occasionally crossing into creep-at-a-strip-club territory. But still...their “connection” felt like infatuation, not love—like the fleeting excitement of a new fling rather than anything lasting.

The book relied heavily on showing (yay!) but lacked the context and background needed to make those moments impactful. Without it, much of the story felt incomplete.

For example, there’s a subplot about a woman who hinted heavely about being the MMC's mistress—but then she just vanishes without explanation. It’s as if the author wanted us to overlook potential infidelity and focus on how “epic” the love story was supposed to be, as if saying something along the lines of - forget about the woman he brought home, OH! and forget he was married before and has his ex-wife living there too! she's just a little special snowflake that the FMC's gonna have some pity on and become like sisters, he is obsessed with the FMC, so who cares, right? Even though this won't make sense, ever.

But those loose ends? They stuck out. The story was kind of incomplete and, frankly, kind of boring.
Also, can we talk about how instead of actually talking things out, both MCs spent chapters (yes, plural) in this maddening loop of:

"Then what is going on?"

"Ask the right questions."

"No, tell me everything."

"What is everything?"

"Ugh, I’m so insecure, omg."

"NO, you’re mine, blah blah."

"I’m gonna get all hot and cold and hot and cold again."

"But like, what are we?"

"Ask it the right way."

And it just went on and on (and no, these aren’t direct quotes, but you get the vibe). Honestly, it felt like an emotional hamster wheel—lots of running, zero progress. And then they would have a semi-talk, and move on in just a few paragraphs.

Then there’s the FMC’s family drama: she finds out her mom was murdered, she has a secret stepbrother (the result of her father’s affair, no less), and it’s all brushed off like it’s no big deal. A quick not-cry, some vague acknowledgment, and just like that we moved on. Their childhood trauma was brought up for a hot second, never to be mentioned again.

These could have been emotional turning points, but instead, they just… disappeared.

What’s frustrating is that these were moments where the book almost hit the mark. A stronger character arc, where the FMC processed her pain instead of hiding it, could have made a world of difference. Instead, the emotional moments were either short-lived or skipped entirely, leaving the story feeling aimless. By the end, it wasn’t bad—it just didn’t make much sense or leave a lasting impression.

It’s a shame because there’s a good story buried under all the unresolved plotlines and underdeveloped characters. Strong characters don’t need to pretend everything’s fine; they need to process their struggles. This book flirted with that idea but never fully committed, leaving me with a forgettable experience rather than an emotional one.

halfway to story

i really hated it when stories always incorporate vogue statements in terms of owd, omd and or overall safety details until the end of the story. Very annoying. I also don't like jealous fmcs that much. Though, I like how fmc is not making things easier for the a-hole mmc. I love how she was no pushover and rather she is very strong-willed and doesn't fear mmc. I need more fmcs like her tbh, minus the tantrums and her being so jealous she appears to be very insecure which is I understand in a sense bc like what the blurb is about, she feels like she is always a second best.

Will see if things would get better from hereon, I will not drop it.

Meagan Brandy is one of my all-time favorite authors! Even when she is writing stand-alone stories, she has this incredible way of weaving them together with recurring themes, memorable characters, and her signature beautiful writing style.

I’ve been impatiently waiting for this “The Girls of Greyson” second book in the series, and let me just say—I am NOT disappointed! Boston is a twin—but not the chosen twin. She’s spent much of her life in her sister’s shadow, and it honestly breaks my heart to see how she feels unworthy. It’s a narrative that many girls, especially those struggling with low self-esteem, can relate to. But hold up—don’t assume that makes Boston a doormat! Oh no! This girl knows how to embrace her crazy—and let me tell you, she is fierce. EEK!

And then there’s Enzo… HOLY HOTNESS. I spent the first half of this book trying to figure him out and his game. I seriously get giddy just thinking about him! He’s the ultimate alpha hero. OMG. I have so much to say about him, especially as the story progresses. Yes, he takes his time opening up, but honestly, I get it. Boston wouldn’t have believed him anyway. His pursuit is cautious, but it’s oh-so purposeful. Yesss!

Side note: About halfway through this book, the titillating scenes… SO freaking good. I was fanning myself.

The marriage of convenience was done to perfection. It always needs to make sense for me—and this one absolutely did. But here’s the BEST PART (yes, I’m yelling!)—get ready for some amazing cameos from beloved characters! Not just a quick appearance, but also include unforgettable events and epic revelations. Yikes! I want to say more, but I’ll leave it there. Just trust me—there’s some incredible intrigue to keep you hooked as you fall in love with this book and all its words.

Happy reading, everyone! XOXO

There is no one I need more. No one I trust as completely. Its you and me baby. through the fires of hell, I will stand by your side. Always.

First Impressions
Whew this book was a WILD one and this was also my first time reading this book here and how crazy it was but at the same time I gobbled it up like it was CANDY! I honestly couldn't get enough of it. Even though this type of writing style doesn't always work for me, it definitely did in this case. And I do think the narration is much to blame for this haha sometimes a narration can make or break a book and in this case it definitely MADE the book for me. Now I will say that this won't be like most mafia books and quite frankly the "mafia" element wasn't what I expected. But I would put this as a edgy contemporary with dark romance elements to it. And I highly recommend if you like that style in your stories.

First Line
"Fiance swapping prick."

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Enzo
The Heroine: Boston

There is nothing childish in how I want you, Little Bride.

Summary
Boston made the decision to take her future in control and she went to the one man that her family wouldn't ever want her to be with but he is the one man she would choose for herself and that is ....Enzo Fikile. Enzo is one of the most powerful mafia leaders in their circles, and when she offers him an offer, Enzo can't refuse. But through a turn of events that evolve in Tempting Little Bride, she agreed to a contractual arrangement of marriage with Enzo, and now he has her kept up like a Repunzel in her tower and she is determined to show him she isn't weak but he is also a man you are careful with and carefully choose your battles with. She isn't sure of his intentions, but she also can't resist the connection she feels with him or the love that is building but she wonders if that love will be one sided and what her future will be...

Do not hide what makes you mine or I will mark you in a way you could never conceal, no matter how hard you tried.

What I Loved
All I needed to know was that this was a contractual marriage and I knew that this was a book that I wanted and it was a added bonus that this is an author that I have been meaning to read for years at this point and now I know why so many people are loving this author because her writing is so entertaining and kinda crazy and honestly...I VIBED with it. I also want to do more of her books in audio...that is how good it is.

She's mine. If there is one man she's going to spend her time with, its going to be me.

Now the setup of this book was super fantastic. I love how it starts off with a kidnapping (and you need to read the first book to know why) and then he keeps her in his mansion and she is under guard and she is having to live with the choice that she made. I actually love that this heroine isn't like the other women in this circle. She is a bit different. She has a disability of sorts, but is also not as in your face kick ass as her sister is. She tends to be more wise in how she handles situations but also has a more subtle nature that is viewed sometimes weak in her world and she was never meant to fit in with the crowd but to stand out in her own style and in a way that Enzo is the perfect match for her. He sees who she truly is and only wants her to embrace it and not the woman her family would prefer that she be. I absolutely adored both of these characters because they just fit so right and especially once everything becomes revealed, the way that our couple just grows together was phenomenal in so many ways. Their growth as a couple worked just right and once understanding builds between them, they compliment each other just right.

What I Struggled With
The beginning. I beg of you to not read this one as a standalone. Read the first book. I was SO lost and normally I am pretty good at reading things out of order, but not this one. There are some major plot aspects, where it will make more sense to read the series in order. I do wish the blurb had clarified that more or a prologue that narrated previous events.

Narration
BRILLIANT and sexy in every single way! Its entertaining, relays the write vibe that the author conveys and the emotion and tension is so well tackled. And their voices were just so addictive and compelling that I didn't want to put it down.

Overall View
Bad Little Bride a an outlandish, wild and crazy romance that digs deep and entertains all at the same time. Its very unconventional in the writing, but will have you laughing and feeling energized from beginning to end.

There is no you or I, Only us.

“Behave, little bride.”
“Kiss my a$$, secret husband”

I’ve been patiently waiting for the release of bad little bride and it is worth every bit of anticipation. Meagan brandy has a special talent to make be fall head over heels for any and all Male main characters she writes and Enzo Fikile is no different. This book had me hooked from the very beginning. Boston Revenaw is a strong FMC and required and even stronger MC and Enzo fits the roll perfectly.

This is definitely claiming the tile of one of my favorite Meagan Brandy books of all time! This book has angst and heat as Boston and Enzo find themselves in a marriage of convenience. I was obsessed with Boston's angsty thoughts. She was such a beautiful mix of strength and vulnerability. I felt she had a softness to her while still able to take care of business as a queen. Don't even get me started with Enzo...this man is possessive and without spoiling any surprises everything I love in a hero. Beyond their marriage are plenty of secrets and betrayals to keep things interesting. I could read this book again and again.

and the first book to review is Bad Little Bride. Boy oh boy did I look forward to this book. In TLT I got very curious for Boston and Enzo and let me tell you. These two did NOT disappoint.

Tropes:
💍 Enemies - Lovers
💍 Age Gap
💍 Marriage Of convenience
💍 Forced Proximity
💍 He Falls First
💍 Touch Her And ☠️

Boston and Enzo are EVERYTHING!!
The angst, tension and smut scenes? They were so addictive..!

Boston had my heart. She’s so fierce and was more badass than I could have imagined. Enzo was the bad boy for the outside world but a softy for his wifey, swooooon 🥵😍

** I was in a reading slump these last few months because of mental health issues and was scared to get kicked out of the arc team for not being able to review the book. But this book was 🔥 I absolutely loved Enzo and Boston.

This book was chefs kiss. 💋 I mean the mouth on this man, had me feeling all sorts of emotions if you know what I mean. 🥵 Something about a possessive man, ugh! Enzo was everything my crazy brain loved. ❤️‍🔥 Every time he said “My Bad Little Bride” I would melt 🥵🥵🥵🥵 lol

I also loved Boston. She was fire 🔥 I mean the way she took a 🔪or a 🔫? It was hot! She wasn’t the typical shy, weak girl you usually read in mafia books. Lol 🩷 loved every moment of this book. Can’t wait for the next! ♥️

most of the time I was very confused by this book.

I just didn’t connect with the characters and the characters didn’t connect with each other, it skimmed over her relationship with her family, even though she has a twin the two characters didn’t connect with each other, like your twin is kidnapped and you don’t come looking for her? I don’t know 🙈 side characters were introduced and I didn’t really know who they were even the twist I kept going back pages thinking what is going on and it wasn’t that great of a twist to be honest

There was also no lead up to their romance it starts where she is kidnapped by him after she ran away from him she changed her mind about marrying him because he literally didn’t see her for months then he locks her in a room for weeks…both main characters just weren’t likeable

I didn’t know that this was a series when I started it so maybe that’s why I was confused, was I supposed to read the first book before this one? I just thought it was a standalone I was too far in to go back to book one 🤣

A mafia romance where he falls first and by falls first I mean he’s unhinged stalker obsessed with her but it’s all green flags. This is the second book in the Girls of Greyson series and it was helpful to have the background information from the Tempting Little Thief! I would recommend reading that one first before this one since there’s a lot of references to what happens in that book. I haven’t read the Bradshaw series yet and while they played a bigger part in this book it, it wasn’t distracting that I didn’t know the backstories!

Read this if you’re in the mood for….
- mafia romance
- marriage of convenience
- enemies to lovers
- found family
- touch her and d!e but also touch him and d!e
- stalking but it’s a green flag

I liked this book SO much more than the first one in the series! It was fast paced but didn’t feel rushed and the Easter eggs along the way felt well placed. not *too* obvious, and fun to look for. There’s a bit of a miscommunication trope that had me internally yelling at them to just sit down and have a conversation but at least it flows with the story lol

Here are a few of my favorite things…
- the caramel. IKYKY
- every time they mentioned dancing
- the tattoo he got? Green flag
- there weren’t many chapters from his POV but they hit every single time

This book is so different than what you would expect from Meagan Brandy if you’ve only read the Avix U series but this book is still so good!

Would I recommend? Yes!
