The dragons tempted fate, and now I will pay the price. It’s been twenty years since the Dynasty war that nearly destroyed our world, and nine months later, I was born to the Moon Dynasty king and queen. Only, I was born with a strange mark on my chest, and powers I cannot control.
My father calls me god touched. My mother tells me stories of dragons and deities…but nothing prepares me for him.
A stunning brute of a man with dark powers walks out of the sea on my birthday and opens a portal before knocking me out. I wake up in a world that mirrors my own, but here, the dragons rule with an iron fist and they do not take riders…unless you’re a god. Fae are disgraced enemies and they hunt them for sport. The deities here are called gods... and they play deadly games for amusement while they rule on their cold thrones.
If I lose the game, I die.
If I win, I could go home.
Even if my kidnapper, the Game Hunter, is sneaking into my heart and setting it aflame.
A Flame of Dragons and Gods is the fourth book in The Lost Fae Riders Series. This is a full-length fantasy, dragon-rider romance with an enemy who might become a lover, found family, the best romance tropes, and a main character who loves reading almost as much as you.
G. Bailey is a USA Today bestselling author of books that are filled with everything from dragons to pirates. Plus, fantasy worlds and breath-taking adventures. Oh, and some swoon-worthy men that no girl could forget. G. Bailey is from the very rainy U.K. where she lives with her husband, two children and three cheeky dogs.
I didn’t think Gem would return to the Lost Fae Riders series, but she had one more story to tell. We get to see Story and Ziven's daughter, Wren, all grown up. I was really excited to dip back into the world of the Lost Fae Riders. Gem packed a lot into this little novella and did a remarkable job with the world-building and backstory, considering how short this series was. It was filled with action and adventure, danger and romance, and let's not forget dragons. This other world is ruled by cruel dragons, and Wren gets pulled right in the middle of it. I loved her. She is dutiful but not settled. I like her fire, which Hunter got a taste of in the beginning. From Hunter's first impression, I really thought it would be a little more back and forth between the pair, but things just clicked with them, and Hunter turned out to be incredibly sweet.
A Flame of Dragons and Gods was a great read. Perfect for anyone who wasn't ready to let go of the Lost Fae Riders series like I was.
This novella gives us a glimpse of Story and Ziven’s daughter, Wren, all grown up, and stepping into a world that is as dangerous as it is mesmerizing. I was thrilled to dip back into this universe—Gem packs so much into a short story, from intricate world-building to a rich backstory, making the world feel fully realized despite the novella length.
The story is brimming with action, adventure, and romance, and yes… dragons. The other world is ruled by ruthless dragons, and Wren is thrust right into the thick of it. I loved her—dutiful yet unsettled, with a fire that sparks instantly, especially with Hunter. While I expected a slow-burn dynamic between Wren and Hunter, their connection ignited quickly, and Hunter’s sweetness made him a delight to read.
Though brief, this installment manages to balance tension, danger, and heart in a way that keeps you turning the pages. It’s a satisfying return to the series, filled with everything fans love: dragons, danger, and characters that stay with you long after the story ends.
Enjoyed this short novella, A Flame of Dragons and Gods that is tied to the Lost Fae Riders series. Wrenley the daughter of King Ziven and Queen Story has just reached her twenty-first birthday and been crowned Queen of the Dawn Dynasty. Though she should be happy a feeling of something missing from her life remains. When a dark figure steps from the shadows she will be kidnapped along with her prized dragon egg and taken to a parallel world to her own by one known as Hunter, and her adventure will begin. A nicely written story with engaging characters, adventure, romance, spice, danger, and revelations that fill the pages of this fast-paced entertaining read. HEA.

A short novella to round off The Lost Fae Riders series, concentrating on Ziven and Story's daughter Wrenley. Kidnapped after just being crowned Queen of the Dawn Dynasty, Wrenley finds herself in another world where the dragons are not so friendly and force her to participate in some games, games that are deadly. With the help of the man who kidnapped her, Hunter, Wrenley finds that she has more to fight for than she thought possible. This is a perfect way to end this series and, despite being a novella, has all the drama and action you would expect, and more.
It’s such a joy to return to the world, even with it only being a novella.
Hunter delivers exactly what we love in a witty, flirty MMC, charming, playful, and surprisingly well developed for such a short read. He fits the trope perfectly!
Wren adds heart to the story, especially with the clear glimpses of both her parents in her personality.
Overall, this novella is perfect for readers who just want a small sprinkle of this beloved universe again. Short, sweet, and completely satisfying.
What a wonderful adventure. Wren is the daughter of Story and Ziven and has just been crowned Queen of the Dawn Dynasty when she finds herself in an alternative world where the dragons rule and the fae are disgraced! Wren finds out that she has to take part in a deadly game that she needs to survive to be able to get home. It’s engaging, it’s entertaining and it had me hooked from start to finish. Loved it!
Such a cute little spin off to end The Lost Fae Riders series. I honestly could have read a whole full book of Wren and Hunter, they are so cute and I just adores hunter! This was a quick and pleasant little read that still had the tension, dragons and danger. Sad to see the end of the series but what a way to end it!
A quick easy read that returns to the Lost Fae series and stars Wren, the daughter of Ziven and Story, who of course gets kidnapped to a different realm by a hot hunky stranger. It made me laugh and shake my head at her luck but thought it was a fun return to this series. Some danger, steam and a fun ending.
It was an amazing novella that I really enjoyed. I loved seeing King Ziven and Queen Story’s daughter Wrenley finally get her HEA. Hunter and Wren had an amazing connection from the start even though Hunter kidnapped Wren. I’m sad to see this series end but this novella was a perfect ending.
This is a very short read of Ziven and Storys daughter Wren and her mate Hunter. She is taken to a parallel world where dragons rule. This book has a Hea
