I’ve finally gotten the message that this is no kind of vacation. Hell, I’ve had to spin around like a squirrel in a wheel! And the squirrels haven’t even reached us yet...

But I have enough headaches even without those furry little racist bastards. Everywhere I turn, everyone wants to pick on the ‘lowly baron.’

Well, best of luck to ‘em... Ha-ha!

out of all the different series that I receive an arc for this is probably one of my favorites. I always look forward to the very next book, and I'm always so disappointed when I reach the end of the one I'm reading. I enjoyed the characters. Snoop is probably one of my favorites. I sent an a list of corrections so hopefully you'll read will be nice and smooth. as always though if you find a mistake feel free to send it to them they will correct it.

9/10 just a fun series.

This is the best book in the series so far.

Xander, Snoop, Boerholis and Odin have plenty of opportunities to shine, Xander starts to reconnect with his family in his own unique way, plays fitness instructor, encounters new interesting characters and even finds himself both new enemies and a new pet.

I loved Xander's entertaining adventures as guest, diplomat and conservator of nature. He really knows how to bring happiness to everyone everywhere he goes!

Criticism and comments

The sentence "I quickly her around" misses a verb. "Turned"?

If authors use a different language, like German in this case, they should do it right - especially given how easy it got with modern technology like leo or other language programs! "Verstehen" is indicative and just means "to understand". "To understand?" Used as a phrase as in the book is gibberish!

It's "i don't understand " not "i misunderstand ".

The claim that Xander's mother betrayed her clan and gave a fortress called pride (which should be loyalty, the pride of the family) "without a stroke" to Rasputin is confusing as it seems to contradict the established facts unless that it just means that she fled instead of dying with her family that defended house and fortress..

If they managed to improve on the editing side of things then this book and the series as a whole would rate a good 4/5.

Just basic things like not mixing up the usage of titles.. Majesty, Highness and so on. Not sure why at times usage switches in the text nearly from one paragraph to the next from correct to incorrect and back again. Just baffling. Also span instead of spun. These are just two of the repeated errors, in the series as a whole that come to mind even with my lousy memory being what it is.

There are also a handful of unclear sentences–paragraphs–scenes that need reworking.

- 🤨 I should probably figure out some simple way to mark down errors I perceive somehow... But as is it already kills reading flow and thus immersion/enjoyment.

Great ending

I've enjoyed this series from the start but it was getting a little monotonous the last 3 books, but that always happens in a long series. Fortunately with this book I can say the excitement is back. The whole book was good but the ending left me eager for the next book. I can't wait, unfortunately I have to for another month and a half. Lol what's the chances of an early release? Come on you know you want to.

Great

Just keeps getting better love this series the joy of reading about the young barons life and how he's like a cat that does as he pleases when he likes reminds me of a series in 2000 ad comic in the 80s that had a similar Russian protagonist loved the ladies and also loved a good fight hated politics but loved a party, the same as this story more answers to questions and more secrets yet to come.

I Love the series

My only complaint with the series? The books are done in an evening and I have to wait for the next to be released....knowing they have already been written and translated is an intentional torture...
In all seriousness, it is a great little series full of humor and mayhem

Caught up now my only complaint is the author still trying to give him another wife and I wish he just stick with Annie she’s truly the best. It’s crazy he managed to write such a beautiful couple and going to ruin it by bringing other women 😞

You can almost skip this book you still know what's going on

Gave him more enemies when he doesn't need to when he still hasn't dealt with a lot of enemies already it's so stupid. Honestly I don't know what to say about it.
Nothing really happened

I laughed out loud at some parts of the story. Poor dragon emperor! Lots of action and well crafted. A joy to read.

still a great series

The series continues with new plots and adversaries. Latest book is better than the last couple and sets up future books. Looking forward to the next book.

Oleg Sapphire has a real knack for making an overpowered protagonist feel grounded, which keeps the tension alive even when you know the MC could steamroll most situations. The story itself is fast, fun, and very easy to get into—not a literary masterpiece, but definitely entertaining.

I actually enjoy the rapid-fire release schedule, though it does sometimes feel like one book has been chopped into three parts. Add in the short length and higher price point, and it’s not the best deal out there. Still, the readability and pure fun factor make it hard to complain too much.

War and intrigue

So, so many interesting things happen in this book and even more secrets are revealed. I love this series because it’s interesting on a lot of different levels.

As usual, an excellent adventure

From start to finish, a constant run of action. Seems the statement " i didn't see that coming" is generously dished out in this running saga.
