Who gets Straight to the Pointe faster than Abisa Jones? Her child's father. When he returns to Crescent Falls, will their reunion be love at second sight or a recipe for disaster?
I'm a mother of two, avid reader and newly published author. I've always aspired to publish my writings and finally stepped out to do it after surviving breast cancer. I hope you enjoy my current book and leave a review if you like it.
3.5⭐️s Abisa & Carson 💕 It was missing the component connecting Miss Mattie’s urban myth recipe about falling in love with Charles eating all the mousse in the break room and oddly falling in love with a stranger and showing up uninvited to her work/home.
Carson and Abisa met and had an encounter so magical that they didn’t even share names nor any other details about each other. She ended up pregnant and runs into his twin Comal thinking it’s him but Comal denies meeting her and the baby. Years later Abisa and Comal run into each other again and Comal connects the dots after she tells him where they met especially since CJ has him and his twin brother’s face. Carson moves full steam ahead once Comal tells him about Abisa and CJ. I like that Carson never denied CJ and that Abisa still had them to do a paternity test. Carson didn’t miss a beat with Abisa nor CJ and this would’ve been a 5star book if it had an epilogue.
“Carson & Abisa (Recipe For Love) - Book 6 was a cute HEA 🥰 read from Valentine’s Birthday Day perspective only. However I’m concerned & conflicted hence C&C’s no music no factory🤭🤷🏾♀️⁉️Ummm, this story might have been more convincing if Abisa or Carson had an auditory impairment, melanoma or heck even an ear infection. Something to justify the insanity. No judgment Abisa but a fair question, how do you consent to exchange DNA but not ABC’s (address, biographical data, contact info) with a stranger ⁉️So, basic conversational formalities are no longer required 🥴😬⁉️Dang, grateful to be a boomer🤭‼️
Imagine having a magical moment in time that had you both swooning and wanting more. Only for years to have passed and neither of you even knew the name of the other person. Only for the magical moment to be thrown in your face as if it never happened. Well this is the story of Carson and Abisa but, only she was bumping into Carson’s twin she knew nothing about. I wish this story was longer as I needed more of this story. I felt bad for all the time that was missed but glad that the picked up and Cj was at the front of it all while the magic still was strong and even magical with a little help to put the cherry on top!!!
I loved this book OK! Now idk how one has raw sex with a man and doesn’t even get his first name so you’re going to have to suspend your belief a lil bit in this one. But it’s easy cause once Bisa and Carson meet it’s all gas no breaks and the way this man was like that my son, you my woman, and that coo coo is breakfast, lunch, and dinner so feed me momma feed me!! These holiday novellas are so sweet, the little touch/hint of magic realism is my favorite. And being on @o0renewolfe0o ARC team is the real treat.
absolutely LOVED this book. I loved the twist on the secret baby trope and how it was all revealed. Carson and Bisa were cute together and even though I feel I didn’t get enough of them on page——I still feel the chemistry between them. I wish this was long though. I wanted more and I needed to find out what was going on with that pudding and if Carson won CJ over. The scene with Camel pulling out a gun came out for no where cus oh you a thug now? LMBO!!! Overall, left so much to be desired but i enjoyed the hell out of it
Omg this standalone is lit. I'm glad my boy didn't get way too mad at my girl. Cause they didn't give each other their names. CJ is gonna be one spoiled kid from his unk and daddy. I'm glad they got Charles before he tried anything, and she was slick to have babydaddy on speed dial. I'm happy for their happy ending. But I would love to have an update of them. U did good on yet another book and I'm looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read
MY FIRST READ BY THIS WORN, BUT IT WON’T BE THE LAST 🥰.
SHORT SWEET, SPICY AND FULL OF LAUGHTER AND LOVE🤎
COMEL WAS A FOOL, BUT HE PLAYED NO GAMES ABOUT HIS FAMILY🥰
CARSON & ABISA SECOND CHANCE AT LOVE WAS BEAUTIFUL TO EXPERIENCE WITH A SHOCKING ADDED BONUS (YOU’LL HAVE TO READ TO FIND OUT). 11 YEARS DID NOTHING TO SIMMER THE FLAME THAT THESE TWO STARTED ALL THOSE YEARS AGO. DESPITE THE BOMBS THAT WAS DROPPED IN HIS LAP CARSON NEVER MISSED A BEAT WHEN IT CAME TO BIS AND I ONLY WISH THEIR STORY DIDN’T END SO SOON😔.
This is another author that I am reading for the first time, and I love it!! 🤎 This is the sixth book of this series and I have been thoroughly enjoying it!! I loved the instantaneously chemistry between Abisa and Carson when they first met and the second meeting introducing a new family member!! This was a sweet, short, and fun story! I definitely enjoyed and recommend you reading it!! Kudos, Rene!! 💜
Rating 3.5 ⭐️ This wasn’t so much a second chance as it was a divine reintroduction. Like the universe said, Y’all had a day of passion years ago so let’s try this again with growth, maturity and a little seasoning. And it worked. I loved how natural their reconnection felt, especially with the shared foundation of parenthood anchoring everything in reality.
Ohhh don't shoot that man Charles at the pudding I mean mousse 😂😂
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I was lowkey waiting for a recipe to make it in the wrong hands. 😂😂 Miss Mattie almost got ol dude put in a body bag….for a second time because I’m sure he almost died tryna eat the “mousse”. Poor Charles ain’t know wtf was happening! 😂😂😂 But this story was wild because naming your kid after the wrong brother is actually hilariously crazy work!!
Okay here is another recipe for love book that I’ve read that I’m wishing was longer. I bet there is an entire series that could be wrapped around the Abbott twins. I was kinda bummed that Carson lost so many years of his son’s life but happy he and Bisa got their HEA. I wouldn’t be mad at all to Comal get his own story.
This was a cute storyline. I'd like to see more. I bet the caller Kash was speaking about Comal. And that story would be interesting seeing how he views his life now that his brother has a budding family. Also what transpired with Charles. Please say there's more.
Carson's twin is a mess. I had a feeling something was up. He and Carson are identical with 2 different personalities. I am so happy for Abisa and her son. Carson took having a son better than most men, and he stepped up to the plate without hesitating. They both deserve to be happy and make a beautiful couple. Great Read!
This was really good and left me wanting more. I hate that Carson missed so many years of his son’s life like why did it have to be 10 yrs 😩 that’s sucks for them both. With this new found love Abisa can finally enjoy love day. I need an update on these characters asap!
Quick cute read and even quicker romance. Abisa made the recipe except the wrong person ate it but she still got the love and heart of the man who it was supposed to be for-Carson. Carson finally got the girl whose voice he fell in love with over a podcast and did all that he could to make her his.
Nothing like having a moment with someone that sticks to you forever. By only the universe does another moment happens and bring you back together. Whether good or bad. This was such a great read. I loved how this played out.
This was such a cute little story. I just wish we got a little bit more on how they’re gonna handle Charles. Also…an epilogue…I wasn’t ready to leave their love bubble.
I thought Mrs. Mattie’s recipes were fail proof!!!! Another cute love story that was short and to the point. Abisa learn a valuable lesson and got love at the same time. Cute reason and I’m loving the entire series.
Loved reading Carson and Abisa's recipe for love. This was a reunion that may have been delayed but was destined to occur. Abisa never expected she would see Carson again much less realize the chemistry was just as strong between them.
Fiction is just that, fiction. I cannot imagine a Black man finding out he has a ten year old son and be as calm as Carson. Comal showed more emotion about it than Carson. Oh well, I was happy things worked out positively for Bisa during Valentine’s Season.
I was shocked 😧😳 when I read that Comal and Carson was twins. I knew they were brothers but twins was a good twist. Charles was weird, I wonder was he following Abisa before she saw him at Carson's office? I wonder if Comal has a book and/or if one is coming?
Carson’s and Abisa’s love story could have been great had there been more character development with all of the characters. I realized that it’s a novella but still there was room for more.
Carson messed up putting Abisa’s dessert in the break room ! ! ! Charles was ready to risk it all ! ! ! Comal was so unserious ! ! ! Carson and Abisa instant connection end up tying them together for life ! ! !
A Recipe for Love! A must read! Rene Wolf delivers a spicy, romantic, sensual reunion in Carson & Abisa! A secret child, mistaken identity with the twin brother, some miscommunication! A page turner! Watch out for the chocolate mousse!
