Octogenarian, Minnie Morris, is being visited by aliens again, and one of those aliens is her long dead husband, Shep. Shep visits about once a week now, according to Minnie. They visit, he spends the night, and in the morning he asks for money. Minnie feels no price is too high to see her long lost love again. But when Minnie's family finds out, they phone the police, trying to put an end to their mother's seemingly crazy behavior before she blows through every bit of her savings.

another nicely crafted tale
A ne’er do well offspring inherits his parents’ home in a quiet neighborhood…but bad things keep happening and the same three sets of neighbors keep blaming the youngster - out of a total of ten households.
Then a series of robberies involving stolen cars; and an elderly woman claims her (deceased) husband was actually abducted by aliens and has been coming to visit her. But the truth ends up being deadly.

Great story
Fast paced like three stories in one all coming thru solved family troubles and of.course over eating for one detective and his partner let a him forget also from outer space a widow entertains her deceased husband ...ciao from Bobbie and George pura Vida.

Great series!
I have read all ten books and enjoyed all equally. Can only say that I intend try other of Mr. Riesel's books and keep my fingers crossed in the hope that I will get as much pleasure from them.

Easy read.
I liked the way the writing, the stories flowed. In other books I've read each chapter was like starting a new book. I also liked the humor.

Nice to visit North Myrtle Beach again
