This series keeps getting better and HOTTER!

This is the second book in Arianne Richmonde's Beautiful Chaos series and it just gets better with each new installment. Falling Star picks up right where Shooting Star ended. I was immediately engaged once again in this story about Star Davis, the 19 year old gorgeous and very talented actress, and Jake Wild, an extremely sexy movie director.

Jake and Star are both very attracted to each other, but Jake seems to be struggling hard with his feelings. Star on the other hand knows what she wants and it's Jake. Jake is trying to get Star out of his mind even going as far as to replace her with an old girlfriend. Poor Star, the green-eyed monster has a hold on her when she finds out that Jake has invited the girlfriend on the set, and that he's even given her a job too.

Star took matters into her own hands and things really start to heat up. There is one particularly hot shower scene. The author sure knows how to pen some STEAMY scenes; it had me wishing that I was the one in the shower with Jake.

Star is still staying at Jake’s house and now she knows that Jake’s girlfriend will be staying there too. So, she hatches a plan using Leo's , Jake's right hand man to help her. This is where the author throws in a huge twist I never saw coming and will have you thinking...OMG...what is going on? Of course I can’t tell you what happens, but let me just say that I’m going CRAZY wanting to know where this is going next. I can hardly wait for book 3, Shining Star, to be released at the end of August, giving me/us the conclusion to the Beautiful Chaos series.

Arianne Richmonde sure knows how to pen a story that will keep you guessing as to what will come next, making it very hard for you to put the book down. Her characters are always unique and very well written. Arianne’s sex/love scenes are some of the best I’ve ever read. These things are why Arianne Richmonde is one of my favorite authors and I can't wait to read MORE of her books.

Special note: This is a continuing series and MUST be read in order to fully understand the story.

Book 1, Shooting Star
Book 2, Falling Star
Book 3, Shining Star to be released soon.

I was given a ARC in exchange for my honest review.

HOLY BALLS. I am SPEECHLESS after reading the second installment. Arianne has done it again. The second installment to Shooting Stars lived upto everything I wanted in a sequel and more. Once I started I could NOT put it down. I loved every single second. Star is falling for Jake all she wants is his attention on her, like a young woman all she wants is love, attention and acceptance. All women really want this and Jake fights his feelings for Star, in a moment of weakness he lets something slip and he could of forever ruined his chances. So Star has had enough and heads home with the help of Leo. Who may I add I am seriously crushing on. I love him and I love Jake, but I seriously feel Star and Leo have some HOT chemistry and hope they do the nasty. I actually have no idea at this point who I would want her with. HAH! the book is full of twists and turns and a whole lot of surprises and things you did NOT see coming! and that ending! GAHHHH!!! hot and speechless. Cannot wait for the next installment. Amazing series.

I was excited to read book 2 in the Beautiful Chaos series because Jake and Star of book 1 left me hanging! Jake is a film director in a movie that Star is cast...not that he wanted her in it because he didn't! She was too snobby, too much a diva, and someone who yelled of trouble; however, in book 1 Jake was forced to cast Star as Skye. Now for book 2.

Jake is 100% in lust with Star but he doesn't really want to fall for her. She is used to men falling all over her so she's truly baffled why Jake is treating her so different than other men do. I mean, she's used to tongues waggling and men jumping when she snaps her finger.

One lesson learned in this book is that no one is necessarily who/what we think. The gossip about Star has always been

I also wasn't expecting the mystery in this book at all! Leo was introduced in book 1 and had a small part, but in book 2 his character is explored and he

OMG! I was NOT expecting to be sitting on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next! I am off to read book 3!! I simply can't wait!

FALLING STAR (Beautiful Chaos #2) by ARIANNE RICHMONDE

FIVE SOARING STARS

Reviewed by Sharon Thérèse Nuttall for Kindle Friends Forever

Goodness gracious, great balls of fire! I did say you naughty lady you in my last review! Yeah, Ms Richmonde! You left be dangling, for want of a better word, on a precipice in the first book of this series, Shooting Star. In fact, I was pretty damn angry with you but in a good way because what you’d managed to do is get me counting down for the release of Falling Star!!! Now Jake and Star are back in the second book of the Beautiful Chaos series with a vengeance! What you think is going to happen to this gorgeous pair of proud and independent characters, simply doesn't!Oooh no! Better things are to come depending on how you look at the story told from their point of view. We’re also in for the totally unexpected which had me completely floored! Yes ma’am, you've done it again!!!

If you haven’t read the first book in the Beautiful Chaos series, you really must because this isn't a standalone novel. And if you have, I'm sure you haven’t forgotten Jake is directing a film and his female lead, Star, is a real tease and used to getting her own way. Thus, when Jake refuses to fall into the web she’s weaving, she throws a tantrum! The problem with them is they simply clash! Oooh, and do they clash beautifully! Jack puts his foot in it and Star can’t fathom out why he is like he is with her. He’s a man for God’s sake! In the heat of the moment, they say things that can be easily misinterpreted! Do you think she’ll be able to read between the lines eventually, or will she still think the man she is obsessed with is playing her? There are certainly a lot of trust issues here too and it makes one think that the two of them together would be downright disastrous. Or explosive!

We get to know more about Leo’s character, Jack’s right-hand man. This gorgeous hunk of a Ukrainian whose English language defects are just adorable, is forced into a position with Star which made me more than nervous! Good sign in a book, eh? And not only did this page-turner leave me slap-bang in the middle of an astonishing climax, but also had me praying that the obvious won’t happen. I’ll have to wait to see the outcome in Shining Star, won’t I?

One word to sum up this impeccably written read Ms. Richmonde. Bravo!

4.5 stars!!

Well hell...That was quite unexpected and quite the game changer!! My panties sure are tingling!

description

“My mind was in turmoil—a sort of beautiful chaos—floating, dreaming, transcending earthly reality, but my physical body was giving away. I wanted to control myself, but I just wasn't sure if I could hold out any longer. I felt as if I was falling...”

Falling Star takes place right after its predecessor, Shooting Star, where Jake learns about Star's startling revelation.

From there, he begins to pull away from Star (much to her chagrin), in attempt to protect her from himself, but ends up backfiring and perhaps making the biggest mistake of his entire life.

Now, another suitor has come to capture Star's heart and right away Jake's greatest fear may have come true: he may have lost Star forever...

What will become of Jake and Star? Will their stunted romance ever bloom? And with this new thorn in Jake's side coming about, will Jake overcome his insecurities and win the girl of his dreams?

After all, you know what they say: “Distance makes the heart grow fonder” and Jake is sure in for the fight of his life. Not to mention, Star has some hard decisions to make.

#A spellbinding, addictive read that I could not put down due to all of the sexual tension and uncertainty between Jake and Star; as well as Star's new possible love interest, and all of the unpredictable twists that Arianne Richmonde interweaves!! It nearly made my mind want to combust with all of the suspense!!

I will definitely be holding out for Shining Star, the third and last of this book trilogy to see where the cards will lie for Jake, Star, and this admirer of Star's (*sorry! I'm not divulging who this home-wrecking third party's name is*). Until then, great job Arianne!! I can't wait to see what happens next!!

I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review.

After reading Shooting Star, the first book in this series, the ending left me breathless and anxiously waiting to see what was in store for Jake and Star. Arianne does not disappoint with the way this story continues. This lives up to all I was expecting and has brought in a whole new level of anxiety. I sat down to read it and didn’t get up until a few hours later… only after I had devoured it!

Jake has found out that Star is not the girl everyone thinks she is. He is determined to stay away from her, regardless of how much he wants her and how hard she’s trying to catch his attention. When someone from his past is suddenly back in the picture, literally, Star is not a happy camper and does what she can to make sure Jake knows who he really wants to be with. A very HOT shower scene and words spoken in a moment of weakness, have Jake running away again, trying to salvage what could’ve been ruined before it even began.

Star is getting tired of so many letdowns and ends up getting help from none other than Leo. Let me just say, these two have some SERIOUS chemistry going on…at this point in the game, it’s a toss-up as to who I think Star should be with. I love Jake. His strong personality calls to me, but Leo and his Russian strength somehow has grown on me and the way he’s being with Star is really making me root for him.

True to Arianne style, this book is full of some unexpected twists. Just when you think that maybe the muddled waters will clear, another handful of mud is thrown in. You just don’t know what is going to happen. Events will surprise the hell out of you and will leave you shaking your head. The ending…Oh God, what can I say about the ending?!?!? That was the BIGGEST shocker for me!!! I am extremely glad that the next and final installment is not too far behind. Another amazing series by Arianne.

Where will Star end up

Jake was now being very brotherly now since Star surprised him that she was a virgin. But he still was having issues of thinking about her and not having her. When Star finds out about Cassie she goes crazy. Yes and almost looses her virginity. All because of Jake's stupid comments she was saved. Now Star and Leo are no where. She is having nightmares about her childhood so really who has drugged them her step dad or her psycho step brother. Will Jake and his dog Stars four legged friend find them.

*I was given a complimentary copy of Falling Star in exchange for an honest review.

Falling Star, the second book in the Beautiful Chaos series, shows you why Arianne's writing is addictive--she fills the story with emotion and thrilling suspense.

Star Davis and Jake Wild can't seem to deny each other. Despite all the reasons they should not be together, their scorching chemistry keeps pulling them back. Jake and Star are deep into filming his new movie, both channeling all her feelings into her their work. Jake watches with rapt attention as he directs her. Subconsciously, they long for each other. But because Jake has his own issues, he makes a decision that ends up pushing Star too far. I felt so bad for her. She keeps getting disappointed by those she loves. I wanted to slap Jake upside his head a few times as I read!

Arianne adds a little twist of mystery in the middle of Falling Star that I didn't see it coming. Star is heartbroken and unexpectedly turns to someone for comfort and it puts them both in a dangerous situation. Star's tumultuous past catches up with her and she can't find her way out. I loved this twist in the plot. I'm a huge suspense reader and I found myself on the edge of my seat during these scenes.

Falling Star is a thrilling second continuation of the series. You get the emotional angst of two damaged people trying to find a connection, the twist in the plot that takes the story in an unexpected direction, and the steamy hot sex scenes in between! This is not a stand alone book, so make sure you read Shooting Star, the first book in this series first. I give Falling Star 5 out of 5 stars!

This story starts off where Shooting Star stops. I was completely dumbfounded after Shooting Star ended. Once I started this book, there was no way of stopping. Star has everyone fooled, she actually is a virgin and that piece of her is something she does not take lightly. Jake needs her, but he won’t let himself have her.

Jake is trying to get over Star so he sends for his “ex” to help out in the movie. Star is very jealous of the ex and immediately tells Jake to send her back. There is a point that Star struts herself in Jakes trailer and there is a Steamy shower scene that Jake professes to Star and backtracks himself.

After that, Star is beside herself, she has feeling for him, but Jake is being a stubborn mule. Star befriends Leo, Jakes buddy. Leo and Star have tight chemistry between the two of them. There is a complete change of events that puts a strong between the two. The ending will rack your mind!!! I immediately purchased the next book! Review coming soon!!!

2.5 to 3*

This book is worth reading just for the shower scene.

Negatives:

1. Too short to be a trilogy - should be 1 book

2. Star's character was slap-worthy ANNOYING. **DIVA ALERT**
After being released from rehab and vowing to change her life around and show the world she means business - I was hoping for a sophisticated, refined, and controlled character (she's an actress FFS how difficult would that be to manage??!!).
Instead we have a ants-y, throwing-tantrums DIVA, TSTL drama queen.

4. Leo's character and the "danger" plot device was unnecessary and far-fetched. The whole episode featuring Leo was just overly dramatic and had me rolling my eyes. The cliff-hanger was MEH!!!

5. Writing style was immature with no substance. Tries too hard to be gritty but instead is silly.

-----------------------------------------

Positives:

1. It's fee ((book 1 & 2)

2. The dirty talk is hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3. Shower scene is 5* material - wow

You'll need a cold shower after reading this scene, mark my words!!! HOT, HOT, HOT!!! This novella has a whole lot going on: Jake wrestles with his feelings for Star and fights to get his addiction under control. He plays games and she plays with fire, with Cassie getting caught in the cross fire. Then there's lovable Leo, the Ukrainian bad boy with the dangerous past who sweeps in to protect Star. When Leo and Star find themselves kidnapped and trapped in a locked room together for days on end with seemingly no way out, will they give in to their sexual attraction to each other? Or will they hold out---out of a sense of loyalty to Jake, or more importantly, to keep Star's "V" card in tact? This book has elements of suspense, jealously, revenge and lust all wrapped up in one exciting package!

Star's relationship with Jake has reached a boiling point, Is it love, lust, or the challenge that keeps them trying to seduce each other? They are so alike in some ways, yet they are blind to what is right in front of them.

Again, using her magic pen, Arianne Richmonde has managed to create a plot with twists I did not foresee. In this thrilling installment, you can be sure you will be biting your nails. Prepare yourselves! Mystery and suspense will have you reeling... Sex is not the only thrill in this book. We have a complex and well thought out plot that will make your heart ache.

This the second installment of this trilogy. Hopefully, Shining Star will be out soon. I really need to know what happens next. Lives are at stake here!

Lots of action, some romance, jealousy, and Leo!! Jake is more relatable to me in this book. But most of all, I want more Leo!

Star is an independent young woman who knows how Hollywood works and is playing the game her way. I like her. She was hurt from Jake's actions in book 1 and then has bout of jealousy in this one. Do not mess with Star!

Just when I thought I knew where the storyline was headed, I was shocked by a twist. Wow! The stakes got raised, the suspense element is introduced. I am now worried about the outcome for Leo ... and Star ... and Jake...

This series has gotten better. I am eager for the final book in this series. I am curious as to where Arianne will be taking this. (I also like the mentions of Pearl and Alexandre from her Pearl series, one of my faves!)

Wow, what a cliff hanger you have left us on with this book.
Will she or won't she, who did it?
So many questions to ask with so many different possible scenarios.
I like how this book entwined with The Chevaliers (did I spell it right and people need to read that series), as it allows us to keep in touch with them.
I kind of feel sorry for Star, I understand that she needs to keep her boundaries but she really shouldn't play games with people's minds and feelings.
I can't wait for the next book to see how it ends

I enjoyed this book so much more than the first one.
Star is looking for something she feels like she has never had and Jake is the one she is wanting it from. Although she is going about it in the wrong way. Jake is in love with her but keeps his feelings to himself which makes her lash out and do foolish things.
Running away from the set with Leo brings danger to the both of them. What will they get up to left all alone with no way out. Will this ruin what she has got going on with Jake?
Can't wait to start the last book in this series.

Jake and Star continue on their journey in this book. While on set they both try to maintain the upper hand with the other one. Jake does not want to taint Star and she wants control over Jake any way she can get it. There is a mystery that unfolds in this book so it will be interesting to see where it goes in the next book. Overall a good read. If you liked the first one, you will like this one.

WOW... OMG... I gasped at the end of this book..

The turn of events took me by surprise, I wasn't expecting what happened.

I was happy to see that Star was getting some her own treatment from Jake, She was a big tease and it is wrong.

On a side note I like how we got to know more about what happened in Stars childhood and saw a softer side of Leo. I want his story where he finds his love.. Perhaps he can fall for Elodine, Alexanders sister. I want her story as well...

This sequel to Shooting Star was a fast read and ends in a cliffhanger that left me wanting more. Star isn't her annoying 19 year old self much in this one and you learn much more about her past. The sparks fly between her and Jake. Great book, easy, fast, enjoyable read. Can't wait to dive into the third book.
