In the fifth installment of this epic apocalypse adventure, Riven Thane has a vision for a new world order that could either bring stability . . . or chaos.
It’s a time for new beginnings. Empires are rising from the ashes of dead civilizations as the merged worlds of Panu come together. Most prominent is the Thane Necropolis, the inheritance of Prince Riven Thane and home to more than fifty-one million vampire citizens and six billion slaves. Here, Riven’s word is law—whether he likes it or not. Lately, he’s been iffy on the subject.
The catastrophes, wars, violent uprisings, and rampant corruption in the wake of Riven’s rise to power have caused him no shortage of guilt. So comes his latest directive, much to the outrage to his the enslaved of the necropolis are to be granted equal rights to the vampire citizens. It’s a new quest for Riven, but it could trigger a war of its own.
Meanwhile, an enemy, whose grudge is more personal than political is out for blood. His mission is to erase Riven from the leaderboards, and he’ll stop at nothing to do it. Riven’s sister, fiancée, and attendant demon are all in the crosshairs unless Riven can tap into his darkest vampiric instincts to strike first . . . and fast.

Well the love triangle BS seems to have been sorted but frankly why even bother if this resolved with a simple conversation like I said they should have done right off the bat....this little drama should have frankly been cut from the book as it really served no purpose.
I like how Allie has gotten a power boost but not a fan that because she chose scythe over blood god and became an angel of death all living are being forced to undead races nor the stupid quest to force her to terraform like 80% of the world to undeath/races.....it's kind of a unwanted betrayal to all her living allies and kind of goes against the premise that they were trying to make someplace where everyone could be safe and welcome regardless of ther class race etc as long as they followed the laws put in place.
On the flip side Rivan story is a bit boring in the first half of the book and I feel that while azmoth got power boost so far they are a bit meh on the limp side and Fay for some reason is still very wimpy with really no great boost..its becoming annoying like does she need to perma die too or something equally drastic to get upgraded in power/rank like Athela and the rest... I mean damn even the uninteresting elf genua got a decent boost/class swap......Fay got a new skill...like big whoopty doo duh
Overall the story is still good but it is Unfortuently starting to sprawl a fair amount. A lot of side characters and side plots. I feel like if the story is tightens up now that the next book will be much better.
Loved this book and continuation of the store. Great, action and story that continues to evolve and keeps you reading and, wanting more. Hope to see and read next release soon.
