He trusts her with his life, but not with his heart.
Bible Smuggler Dakota Kimani is fearless in spreading the Gospel. When her friends are abducted by a Somali terror organization, she will do anything to rescue them—even reach out to the one man she wronged and vowed to never again contact.
Former Marine Raider Keith McCord isn't one to look the other way when innocents are slaughtered. So yeah, he agrees to help the woman who ripped out his heart. With a team of trusted operators, he infiltrates Somalia and finds himself waging war on terror and old feelings.
“No plan survives contact with the enemy” proves true when the hostage rescue turns dicey. The terrorists' tactics are aggressive and shrewd, leaving Keith questioning the loyalty of his teammates and allies. Meanwhile Dakota wrestles with a dark secret that threatens to destroy the tenuous bond she and Keith have reforged.
Death breathing down their necks, Keith and Dakota are in a fight for their lives, their faith, skills, and trust in each other pushed to the breaking point.
Crimson Sands is a gritty and thrilling second-chance romantic suspense about the persecution of the Christian church.
JJ Samie Myles is always on the hunt for a thrilling adventure, be it in real life or the fictional realm. Having traveled the globe and interacted with people from all walks of life, she is equipped with an arsenal of story ideas. Her mission is to share the beauty of God’s light in a dark world and encourage her readers in their faith. JJ is fluent in savage banter, obsessed with the ocean, and loves to laugh.
This spectacular novel will remind you not to take your freedom for granted.
You’ll read about the Task Force SEAR being assembled; the author’s descriptions make it seem as if you are there. Each team member has a vital job (sniper, medic, comms specialist/hacker, explosives, etc), and their unique talents and backstory are revealed as the plot progresses. I was amazed at how Myles adeptly conveys the training instinct in her characters’ actions and how cohesively they carry out their missions.
This is one series I’ll want to stick with because it has so many great things going for it. I loved the spotlight on the necessity of giving God the reigns, the dangers of being too focused on our own agenda, and the importance of obedience. The unique setting added to the uneasiness and the tension. I don’t think I’ve read a book set in Somalia before but the author captured all the emotions that I was expecting the characters to experience in a country where Christian persecution is prevalent. The storyline brims with tension and romance and readers see the challenges of having a relationship against this backdrop. The pacing and authentic-sounding action sequences paired with the bravery, sacrifice, and strength of the human spirit kept me turning pages and the humor (new perfume) balanced out the intense missions.
Myles writes with strong prose and has a natural storytelling ability. She definitely pays homage to those who serve and protect. I’m anxiously awaiting Nik’s story next!
Worthy of ALL the stars! Fantastic cover design, too.
I was gifted this copy and was under no obligation to provide a review.
Thrilling and fast-paced! JJ Samie Myles writes with the authority and confidence of a well-seasoned author and has firmly lodged herself onto my auto-buy author list. Crimson Sands is a taut thriller with a heaping dose of action, romance, and razor-sharp banter. Be warned—this will embed its tactical claws in your heart and won’t let go!
This is a new to me Author and I LOVED this one. This book is action packed & a slow burn romance! I really liked Keith’s character. I would describe him as fiercely loyal in all areas of his life. Dakota is running. She has been for a long time and now she has to face her past while also trying to save her friends. I thought this book was so well done and I appreciate the Author bringing attention to missionaries overseas putting their life at risk every day trying to get the gospel of Jesus to others.

Oh, how she’d missed this. Him. His strong arms holding her, his familiar scent and taste. The way he made her feel alive and wanted and loved, like she was the only thing in his life that mattered. It was like they’d never been apart, the canyon of time and regrets between them erased.
“I’m aware this is very, very selfish, but I can’t change how I feel about you. God knows I tried.”
“Good.” He grasped her chin and gave her a quick kiss, his chest swelling. “I’m proud of you, my Lioness. Always have been and always will be. Nothing in the world can change that.”
Their readiness to suffer for Jesus . . .” He sniffed. “They’re willing to risk their lives to meet up once a week, meanwhile we complain that we have to go to church on Sunday. We have to force ourselves to read the Bible; they hide theirs in their homes, knowing it could be their death warrant.”

Wow! This is such an incredible book!! It had everything from phenomenal action to epic team camaraderie to a powerful message of hope and resilience. Solid five-stars and I can’t wait for book 2!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
This book was freaking awesome. . An adrenaline rush of a ride. When bullets weren't flying you had so much tension between the characters that striking a match in their vicinity would be dangerous. . Fantastically flawed yet lovable characters, heart-pounding suspense and peril. This book has everything that makes a great paramilitary romantic suspense. . I loved the supporting characters, the brotherhood banter. . I especially loved how the author brought to light the reality of the persecuted church in this day and age. Not a topic you see in much Christian Fiction these days. Well done. . Readers are in for a treat when it comes to Keith McCord. He is loyal and protective, dedicated and a fantastic leader. He has his own flaws to work through and I loved seeing his story with Dakota grow. . Dakota is relatable and has her own baggage. I loved her courage and her determination in the situation that pushed her in her faith and healing. . The pacing of the story was sublime. Never a dull moment, either with the rescue mission or the general antics of the team. . Definitely an automatic favorite of 2025 . I cannot wait for more Task Force Sear!!!!! . I recieved a complementary copy of this book from the author, all thoughts and opinions are honest and completely my own.
Dakota Kimani and Keith McCord fell in love as teenagers, holding onto the truth of who they were to one another. However, a kiss that his brother bestowed upon Dakota, tore them apart with feelings of betrayal. Their love, their faith, and their dreams of a future seemed to shatter without a hope of ever being whole again. Years after they went their separate ways, Dakota's life winds up in a dangerous situation, in a country that kills Christians and makes horrific examples of Christians. With her life on the line, Keith assembles a team of colleagues to bring her to safety. As the days count down, will Keith and the team rescue the three people whose lives hang in the balance? Obstacles and dangerous people and situations are all around, but this group must follow God's divine direction to escape from harms way. I loved this book, as it hit every single piece of me that loves Christian Romantic Suspense. The dialogue, the way the team molded together, and the way they shared a faith in God and followed His direction no matter what -- it gave this reader hope. I loved everything about this book and couldn't put it down!! I give it 5 out of 5 stars, and I am thankful for such an engaging ride!!
Crimson Sands by J J Samie Myles has everything I love in my stories! There’s so many great characters (both main and secondary), wonderful team camaraderie, perfectly paced action, beautifully timed pops of humor, a realistic faith thread, and a perfectly sweet romance. I literally could not ask for more!
This is a second chance romance, which is one of my favorite tropes! Keith and Dakota have so much chemistry. I just loved their relationship and the forgiveness shown by Keith. Keith is basically amazing and one of my all time favorite male characters. The faith thread was so good and woven seamlessly into the story. The team camaraderie is perfection with humor that will have you laughing out loud. The epilogue was hilarious, until it wasn’t….I will just leave that there. I could keep going on and on about this story, but I’ll end with go buy this book! You will not regret it!
I am hoping that Crimson Sands is the first of many in this series! I so badly want Michael T. and Ariel’s stories. If you are looking for action, romance, humor, and just a great all around story, this is the story and author for you!
This is my first book read by JJ Sami Myles, but definitely not my last. Crimson Sand is the first book in the Task Force SEAR series.. I love Dakota, Keith and the whole team. Amazing story and characters. Be prepared to be blown away, to laugh and to cry.
I received an advanced reader’s copy from the author. All opinions are my own.
This novel was both equal parts incredible, horrifying and perfect! I couldn't give it anything but five stars.
The SEAR team was absolutely amazing. I loved each and every team member and I am so excited that this is going to be a series and we will get more adventures with this team.
The story was absolutely incredible written. I felt like I was in the middle of the battle with these characters, struggling along side of them. I have no other words to describe it.
I loved Keith and Dakota's relationship and truly enjoyed the two of them finding their way back to each other. To have such a sweet romance in the middle of hell (there's no other way to describe it!) was both a relief and a symbol of hope.
I would be completely remiss if I didn't mention the ever present faith of these characters. I was completely in awe of all of the Christians in this book. They all truly inspired me to grow in my faith, to rely on God no matter what and to be willing to relinquish control to Him.
Overall, this story was incredible. Absolutely worth the read. But be aware going in, it was not an easy story to read either. The persecution of Christians, of any people, is absolutely horrifying and knowing that these things truly still happen in our world today, made it even harder to read. But it is still necessary that we read it. And that we never cease praying for God to bring this and all violence to an end.
JJ has done it again and written a masterpiece. I love Keith and Dakota relationship. These two have been through so much. The suspense in this book will have you up all night and the romance will have you smiling. JJ deals with the hard topic of Christian prosecution so well. The side characters are amazing. The faith element is this book is so powerful. I highly recommend everything this author writes. #arielforever
Such an incredible fast-paced action book. I’ve only ever read one other book by Jj Samie Myles, Riot from the A Breed Apart series and I loved it. I loved this book even more. It was so real and intriguingly captivating your attention from page one. I just couldn’t put it down, I had to read it all the way through. I loved the comrade of the teams and characters were very well written. The faiths of Dakota and Keith were so strong & their paths that led them to who they were to now.
“Their readiness to suffer for Jesus . . .” He sniffed. “They’re willing to risk their lives to meet up once a week, meanwhile we complain that we have to go to church on Sunday. We have to force ourselves to read the Bible; they hide theirs in their homes, knowing it could be their death warrant.” “I know. We take our freedom here in the West for granted. I think that’s why the faith of a lot of our people is lukewarm, because we don’t have to fear for our lives when we follow Jesus.”
Review: I came across this book after seeing some raving reviews from some of my Bookstagram friends, and I can now say the hype is LEGIT. This book captured me from the first page and held me in its grip until the final page. When I wasn’t reading it, I was thinking about it, and couldn’t wait to continue reading to find out what would happen. This book has everything you could want in a book- action packed, slow burn romance, a team that deflects from some of the tragedies with their quick wit and hilarious banter (Ariel-OMG 😂), and a faith element that really hits home and makes you reflect. While the subject matter of this book is very heavy and I’ll be the first to admit I am someone who is deeply affected and triggered by death and suffering, this is the sad and harsh reality of our sinful and broken world. It’s not something we should ignore. Persecution of the church is happening all around us, and awareness is ever needed. It pulls us into the reminder of our need of a Risen Savior, and how many there are out there that still need to hear that truth and see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. To see this team come together and give their all not just for their friends and one another, but ultimately for the glory of God in obedience to Him was something truly beautiful to behold. I also absolutely LOVE Keith and Dakota together. A beautiful second chance romance that pulled at my heartstrings. This book captured my heart and is definitely one that will stay with me forever. I’m THRILLED that this is going to be a series and that we will get the chance to follow this amazing team and their journey even more. 5 stars!
This is an entertaining and emotional read, but also an intense one. I knew a little of what to expect from Myles' writing after reading Riot, and fans of that story will likely enjoy this one. I liked meeting the characters here, and can already tell I'm likely to have a couple of favorites that I'm looking forward to getting to know more.
There were some issues that should probably be mentioned before I go on. One is that there's a couple of scenes that are either uncomfortable due the nature of their mission, both Dakota's as a missionary in a hostile country, and later the rescue mission the team embarks on. There's some violence, threats of impending violence, and even some witnessed acts that are then talked about a bit afterward. This also is a loosely catholic story, which I'm not, so for others like me I thought I'd state that if anyone wondered. There is also a mention about God and the Holy Spirit causing a 'high' when He came over a person, and that this 'high' was amazing and a sign that God was in a place, or with the person...this isn't biblical at all, and no matter how much I hear people saying this or even how many churches say otherwise, it s absolutely not what God's Word says about His presence or how the Holy Spirit interacts with people. We are called to be 'sober' and of 'sound mind' not riding an emotional high, or any kind of intoxication or 'high' type symptoms. It's simply not in there and is not how God works. Peace is the sign of God's presence and it's His Peace that we are called to ask for and seek, knowing that His peace surpasses understanding and that even when we don't understand or don't like His answers, His peace will carry us through lives trials and difficulties.
There is also a couple times when the romance is potentially problematic. There was also a scene involving morphine that is a bit humorous and...probably not for the best reasons. I admit I'm guilty on this one too. It's something I'm working on, but also not something I'm comfortable encouraging others to read without at least warning them and pointing out why we should be more aware and conscientious of how we think and why we think or react the way we do. Is it bringing us closer to Jesus, or pulling us away from the life and plan He has for us?
This isn't meant as an insult, but for Christian readers, I feel the need to at least point it out for those who care, since while I can see from a fleshly/human perspective it was funny, but spiritually it isn't good for us to thing about, enjoy, or indulge in these thoughts and even if they are funny to the flesh that doesn't automatically make them good. And that can cause problems and even potentially us to stumble if we get desensitized and used to these kinds of situations instead of thinking about them Biblically and through spiritual eyes.
"But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks." (Ephesians 5:3:4)
There are a few references to things that happened in the past, but also a scene or two where the characters have to make a decision, and it's clear that their attraction and desire nearly win out. I do like the fact that it's clear that both MCs are trying to do better, but at times it seems as if they are simply trying to will themselves to be better, as if we can even be strong enough on our own. But later on there's times when faith clearly plays a bigger role in their lives, which was nice to see and made for some interesting conversations. There's also the mentions of siren/little mermaid...I know it's something that military guys would likely find funny, but yeah, I found it to be a bit disturbing honestly, lol. Could have definitely lived without 'seeing' that.
I really liked Keith and his right-hand man. They had such a powerful friendship, and make a great team. I also loved meeting the rest of the team and look forward to more stories from them.

If you are looking for a non-stop movie-paced action read with a Christian theme, then look no further than Crimson Sands by J J Samie Myles. From the first pages of gritty and intense situations, I was hooked, the beginning paving the way for the rest of the high-intensity book. While this is a great and entertaining read full of adventure, deep emotions and characters, the thing I valued most was the message of faith. I was struck by the reminder of the reality and brutality of violence faced by Christians in lands where faith in God is outlawed. There is such a disconnect for many in today's society of the dangers faced by Christians throughout the world and the importance of remaining steadfast in the face of opposition. I was encouraged by these reminders as well as challenged to not back down for the trivial pushback received in polite society. Fearless Bible smuggler Dakota Kimani helps put a plan in motion to bring Bibles to Christian groups in the midst of a dangerous terrorist-ruled area. When Dakota's friends are abducted by that terror group, she is desperate to save them from almost certain torture and death. Dakota in desperation turns to someone she never planned on contacting again, Keith McCord. Former Marine Keith McCord never expected to hear Dakota's voice on the phone ever again after their past, but when Dakota pleads with him to help rescue her friends, he reluctantly agrees. If Keith is going in to a hotbed of enemies, he wants a solid and trusted team. Keith brings his friends and former colleagues on a difficult and incredibly dangerous mission. Keith and Dakota have buried secrets and hurts from their past very deep, but the intensity of the situations they are put in bring them to their breaking points. When every step of the rescue mission seems to meet setbacks and suspicious misinformation, Dakota and Keith don't know who they can trust. Can they rescue Dakota's friends without losing any of the team? Read Crimson Sands to find out for yourself! The plot was very suspenseful, full of adventure and unexpected twists. The fast-paced nature of the work, made the character development more focused on quick flashbacks rather than in-depth background. The depth of history that Dakota and Keith shared could probably fill another book, but I appreciated how Ms. Myles brought it succinctly into the adrenalin-packed storyline. I enjoyed this book and think it would be a great and entertaining read. Happy reading! Disclaimer: The author graciously provided me with a copy of this book . All opinions are my own and part of an unbiased review.
EXPLOSIVE!!!!!! WHEW! Crimson Sands is all shades of awesome! From the very first page, I was hooked. Dakota and Keith's story is captivating and exhilarating. Dakota and her friends were caught smuggling Bibles into Somali, and only she escaped. She is left with no choice but to reconnect with Keith, a former marine raider and her friend from the past. He comes albeit unwillingly at the beginning with his team turned friends to rescue the prisoners. The words leap out of the pages as you follow the adrenaline packed rescue journey. From the pages of the book, you see strong, courageous people determined to stand for God, irrespective of their situations. You encounter explosions, hurt, pain, and betrayal. In the midst of everything, joy is still found even as Keith, Dakota, and their friends form a unique bond of friendship. Crimson Sands doesn't just tell a story of love, adventure, and hope but reminds us of God's power and presence. It is a remainder about the length people go to to spread the good news of God and His inestimable power. The author reminds us that there are people out there who do not have the freedom to worship God, who live in fear because they believe and follow Jesus. It is a wake-up call to us that even as we live our lives free to serve God, we should not take that freedom for granted and keep our faith and love for God burning high. I loved the way the author interwove forgiveness, second chances, and love as we see Dakota and Keith move beyond their past into a beautiful future. The friendship between the team members is inspiring, and I definitely look forward to more in this series. This is an eye opener, an inspiring story that should be read over and over again. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Crimson Sands is my first book by JJ Samie Myles, but it will not be my last. This book grabbed me and refused to release me from its hold until I’d turned the last page. There was a lot to love about this story. First, it showcased the persecution that many Christians are facing worldwide in a way you wont soon forget. It was an eye-opening comparison between western faith and that of the persecuted Christians. I cried a couple of times, and in the end, it really made me think. If I had to watch my family be tortured for the name of Christ, would I be able to stand firm? Would I endure rape and torture for the name of Christ? I hope so. I won’t be forgetting this book for a very long time (probably ever). Second, the main characters weren’t “bleached, perfect Christians”, and I loved that. They had history and they’d made some big mistakes in their lives. JJ Samie Myles, THANK YOU for writing REAL people. God’s grace is sufficient for all. Sin is not glorified in this book, but it is referenced to show the consequences of what it can cause and the redemption that can be found in the arms of Jesus. Third, the brotherhoods, battle scenes, and warrior-elements of this story were EPIC. Loved them so much. They made me grin and cheer. Fourth (told you I loved this book), I loved the characters. All of them. And the swoon. Ahhh! I could keep going, but you get the point. Crimson Sands is a fantastic book. Violence content warnings: Christians are executed via beheading, being crucified and burned, the team tries to smuggle Bibles into Somolia by hiding under dead bodies… you get the drift. The violence is appropriate and well done, but if you faint while getting your flu shot, you might want to pass.
This is the author's second published book. She wrote one of the books in the multi-author series, A Breed Apart: Legacy. I have been curious what her first book in her own series would be like, and it was an amazing read.
Crimson Sands is not a light read. Most of it takes place in Somalia, and there is open persecution of Christians by Islamic radicals. There is nothing overly graphic in the book, but it does bring home the reality that not all Christians around the world have it as easy as we do in the U.S.
But even with some heavier stuff like that in the book, there is also some humor and banter between the team mates. Goats play into that humor a couple of times.
Dakota (female - I'll never get used to it being used for females) - and Keith were great main characters. They had had a relationship eighteen years prior, and had not seen each other since. There was a lot of conflict between them, and also between Keith and his brother that had to be resolved and forgiven.
There is pretty much non stop action, drama, and suspense for much of the book. Rescuing imprisoned Christians from Islamic radicals intent on killing them is not an easy task, and Myles does a terrific job on portraying what that might be like, along with authentic weapons and military actions and methods.
I really enjoyed the book, and am looking forward to more in the series. Myles has created some great characters, and it is evident she is already a pro at spinning a great story around those characters.
Special thanks to the author for an advance e-book copy of this novel. I was under no obligation to provide a review and the thoughts contained herein are my own.
From the heart-pounding first chapter to the race-against-time, high-stakes action throughout this story, I was HOOKED!
Author JJ Samie Myles delivers an edge-of-your-seat thriller featuring an arsenal of lovable, highly-skilled characters and operators on a mission to save lives, before it's too late.
Absolutely unputdownable! With a riveting storyline under pulse-pounding stakes, a task force is formed. Their first mission? Rescue two people who've been captured smuggling Bibles into a foreign country where the militant factions persecute and murder Christians.
From the zealous devotion of Dakota Kimani, to the faith and skill of team-leader Keith McCord, to the brave, and sometimes hilarious, antics of the team, I found a heartwarming passion and camaraderie among these courageous characters who brought this fast-paced story to life, making it a beacon of hope and saving faith found only in Jesus Christ. Not only was the story thrilling and action-packed, but it was a story of brotherhood, Christian community, romance and surrender.
A definite recommendation from me and a series I'll be returning to for more to come.
Content and TWs: PG13/ Clean. Military Battle/Action Scenes, No Swearing on Page, Abortion (mentioned), Rape (mentioned), Murder/Execution (mentioned). Nothing explicit or detailed.
*I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book from the author. All thoughts are my own. I was not required to post a positive review.
Every reader knows the feeling. That I’m only 20% in on this book, and I already know it is a winner feeling. I’ve never won the lottery, but I can only imagine it feels like trying a new to you author and knowing without a shadow of a doubt you are reading one of your favorites for the year. Crimson Sands was just phenomenal. The author doesn’t shy away from difficult topics, but handles them well. Our main characters leap off the page and immediately you love them, are rooting for them and invested in their life story. This story showcases what it means to truly trust the Lord, to follow Him into the dark, resting in the knowledge that it is He who holds our lives. The journey Dakota and Keith went on left my soul edified and my faith strengthened.
Side characters you ask? Oh, let me tell you about the side characters. You will love these people and immediately demanding the author write their stories. Ariel. I need more of that stubborn and endearing man.
Team banter, high stakes that will have you flipping pages with fervor, romance that sizzles and faith that brings you to tears — Crimson Sands has it all. Just so well done.
I want to start by saying I received an ARC of this book. This is a Christian romantic suspense book. The main characters are Keith and Dakota. Keith is a former marine raider and Dakota is a Bible smuggler. Dakota and two of her friends get into some trouble and she needs someone’s help. Will Keith help her after how she broken his heart when they were teenagers? Will Keith be able to hand his team over to God since God knows what is best for them? Will Keith and his team be able to keep Dakota safe while on their mission? My heart broke for Keith. My heart broke for Dakota. I loved all of the side characters (especially Ariel). This book is action packed. The beginning of the book drew me in right away. This book does have things like persecution of Christians as well as other things that some people may not be able to handle. This book hits on everyday reality for some people. We are truly blessed in America to be able to pray, read the Bible, and go to Church without the fear of dying. Overall, this was a great book to the start of this series. I can’t wait to see who the next book is about and read it.
Lightning speed action draws you in from page one and it never stops! Hold onto your heart as Book 1 in the Task Force SEAR Series takes off. When Bible smuggler Dakota Kimani along with two friends are discovered by a Somalian terrorist group - she escapes but they are taken hostage. She is desperate to find them and to do so, she reaches out to her one true love - Keith McCord. But she and Keith didn't part on good terms and 18 years later, he isn't sure he has any interest in responding to her phone call. But his military training won't allow him to sit back and ignore the dire situation. So yes, he gathers a team of professionals and heads her direction. With death and destruction at every turn, can Keith and Dakota lay aside their differences and work together to rescue her friends before it's too late? Can they find the mole in their midst and keep the team safe?
I received a complimentary copy of this novel from the author and all thoughts and opinions expressed are entirely my own.
Crimson Sands is a Second Chance, action-packed novel with plenty of high octance suspense and team camrady.
Dakota is bold and fearless, Keith is wise and an exceptional leader. With his team around him, there was non-stop action and lots of laughter.
I really loved Crimson Sands, and I can't wait to read book 2 of the Task Force Sear series. If you enjoy books by Susan May Warren, Ronie Kendig, Janice Cantore, Dee Henderson, and Hannah Hood Lucero, then I'm sure you'll enjoy Crimison Sands, Task Force SEAR Book 1.
I received a complimentary copy from the author but wasn't required to leave a positive review.
What an awesome, incredible read! I couldn't put it down. I enjoyed the Task Force SEAR'a members' camaraderie and antics and the characters were realistic. Dakota and Keith have a rocky history, and both have baggage from their past they have to face. Myles brought to light the reality of the persecution of Christians in countries hostile to the Gospel. Crimson Sands is a fast-paced read with suspense and danger with faith elements. I received a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
What a ride!!! Edge of your seat action, with team banter that has you giggling one minute and then speaking God's truth in the next. I'm an alpha-hero girl all the way so this book was absolute bliss for me. But love that God is always honored as our Ultimate Hero. I also appreciate how the persecution of Christians was brought to light, to not only make me grateful for my religious freedom, but convicting me to pray for my brothers and sisters who are literally dying for their faith. Cannot wait to read more about this team and their missions as being unapologetic warriors for God.
“Touch her and die” trope, in a Christian book! Keith and Dakota made me swoon, the other characters are just as amazing, and I can’t wait for the next book! Minor miscommunication between main characters, but not overdone or drawn out, definitely resolved and explained later on! I love the way the author shows how God talks to the characters! Not always a clear word/phrase, usually through memorized scripture popping into their head at just the right moment, still small voice, and intentional feeling given at the right moments.
I love finding gems like this. There are powerful Faith themes, characters acting in radical faith and God moving in power. And there are also brilliant, lovable characters, a thrilling plot, and great chemistry.
This is everything I want in a book. I want 20 more please.
JJ Samie Myles gives new meaning to "Onward Christian Soldiers" as this missionary/military type mission story shows the strong faith and dedication to the cause of Christ of the persecuted Christians in other lands unfolds in this awesome work of realistic modern day fiction.
This is the first book that I've read from this author. I hope she is a fast writer because I can't wait for the next book. Nailbiting, unputdownable book. She's definitely going on my list of must read authors.
What an exciting work of Christian fiction. It is a very exciting story of adventure and love with a bit of thriller. I highly recommend it and you won't be disappointed.
This is an amazing book by JJ Samie Myles! The characters are lovable, the team banter is hilarious, and the mission is so thrilling. This is a book that will keep you up late at night. JJ is one of the best military romantic suspense authors! Her books need to be on everyone's TBR lists!
