I had recently been gifted an Icelandic bow loom and there are rather limited resources to start using them. I was able to translate over tablet weaving patterns and use instructions from this book to get started.

This is written for people of at least a “confident beginner” level and the patience to craft their own tools, which I thought was an excellent feature. The one thing I feel is missing might be some troubleshooting for certain mediums, but that could just be me. I also appreciated the part on processing nettle and flax, I may try spinning more nettle as it’s such a long coarse staple I’ve typically used it as a blender before.

There's more about the history than instructions in this book. The instructions are harder to follow if you don't have some background in fiber arts. But, I did love the book, and am looking forward to trying some of the projects!

Pretty pictures but the "tutorials" are advanced and assume that you know how to weave. Kind of tricky.

Well written, but could have used more photos/illustrations/diagrams of certain terms for those who are visual learners as well as QR codes to watch certain processes take place.
