Excellent mystery.

This is the second mystery by this author. Again I could not put it down. Stayed up all night . It's now 5:56am and I'm going to get some sleep. Then choose her third mystery. Enjoy.

A Good Romantic Mystery

I read her second book first and I really enjoyed it so I wanted to read this book and I’m glad I did. This author hasn’t disappointed me yet! I love the detailed way she describes the people and places, even the emotions of the characters. There’s characters to love and of course the ones to hate. All the characters interconnected in some way - Clint to Emma to Justine to Jake to Jayde to Glenn and so many more. She had me stumped for a good while on the who-dun-it of Carrie’s murder. I was happy with the ending but sad to learn who lay under the big tree, but I know normally at least one doesn’t make it in these types of books. Overall I enjoyed reading this book and would definitely recommend. I look forward to reading more from Melissa Roos.

Prepare to lose sleep, because this book is hard to put down. I steamed through it in 2 days, even though it's been a busy week! I love how the author weaves in so many layers of plot and point of view, making you doubt who the "real" killer is until the end. And her descriptions are so on point you can see them, smell them, taste them. Absolutely beautiful. My only complaint is the editing. There are a lot of typos and minor errors, stuff a line editor should have caught (Ex: scoffs on the table vs scuffs). That said, I am glad I kept reading, because the story itself was well worth it.

I enjoyed this story; couldn’t put it down! Her vivid descriptions of locations made me feel like I was there. I could hear and smell the festival, feel the panic of the heroine. There were a couple of twists so I wasn’t too sure until near the end who was the real villain.

My husband and I both read the book earlier this year and enjoyed it immensely. My husband is from Iowa, so he could relate to some of the places mentioned. We thought it was well written, and it kept our attention from the first page on. We are looking forward to Melissa's second book!

MUTIPLE BLANK PAGES

Electronic book has different chapters that have completely blank pages, not words or paragraphs, 3 to 5 pages completely white! Very disappointed since this was a purchased book.
