I loved this book, it was like slipping into a warm bath. Comfort and self care from the first page. Clodagh’s voice was just as soothing and encouraging. Highly recommend ❤️
This is not my usual genre so I’m not sure how it compares to other books of its kind and maybe I’m not the target audience.
I definitely got something from the first few steps and I will focus on cultivating kindness and calm in my day to day life. Absolute highlight was the Donna Ashworth poem, it floored me and literally brought me to tears. I tried to read this very slowly to let the ideas stew and to mull things over.
Where it fell down for me was the heavy reliance on guided thought exercises that begin with get comfy and close your eyes - maybe there is a companion website with these as audio files that I missed?
