Monsters & Muses #5

Souls and Sorrows (Deluxe Edition)

Nobody asked him to step in.
I had everything under control, but by the time I shuffled onstage, there was no chance to stop him.
Men ogled and touched as I offered my body and soul to the highest bidder, and I could tell my stranger didn’t like what he saw.
Or maybe he did.
Maybe he liked it too much, and that was why his number shot up.

A quarter billion dollars and one existential crisis later, Cash Primrose was dragging me down the aisle in the name of convenience.
I suppose it could be worse.
My new husband treats me as an equal, which is more than most women in my world get.
Still, I find myself constantly expecting the other shoe to drop.
For the beast who hides himself away, except in the dead of night, to show his true colors.

I’m waiting for the monster my mother always promised would come.
But maybe that monster is me.

Souls and Sorrows is a dark romance inspired by the myth of Eros and Psyche. It contains material not suitable for all audiences. Reader discretion is advised.

this is the sound of da police

"When nothing else comes, I shift, clasping the cloth over her nose and mouth. She jolts awake, panic sending her limbs sprawling, but I press my weight on top of her, smothering her for several seconds.
She fights hard. I catch an elbow to the face, blood flooding my mouth with the impact, and a knee to the groin before she slumps back on the bed, limp and pliable and unconscious"

I actually think this one is my favorite so far in the series. The story is based off of Eros and Psyche - which is another favorite Olympian couple. The two main leads revolve two characters we seen previously- Ariana (Elena’s younger sister) and Cash (Lenny’s older brother.) It can be read as a stand alone, although best be read with the previous four books beforehand.

To me, Cash and Ariana has had the best chemistry so far. I liked their banter and their soft moments. It was fun to read Arianna push Cash’s buttons.

While sex was a big topic and eventually quite a handful of smut scenes- they did have a nice build up to it. Also, their time together wasn’t just sex driven. Cash tries to prove that this isn’t all a big charade and indulges in his sweet side by acts of services.

I personally really liked this one is because I didn’t get lost or find bits of information confusing like I did in the previous two books.

The only time I had to stop and go back and reread a few previous chapters was when the final plot twist came in. Going back to reread Cash’s perspective on certain scenes again really helped and made thinks click altogether. I also noticed lines, I didn’t pay much attention to before. Which helped with overall plot twist.

I liked Ariana, but her decision not to see go see the body or go through with the autopsy. Was kind of a stupid move and her father was right pointing it out. Looking back, it makes the plot twist a little predictable.

As usual, I love seeing Kal and Elena again. It was interesting to see Elena in this light. Their little sisterhood needs mending.

It was so heartwarming seeing Kal in father mode. I actually like the brother-in-law role that Kal has for himself. He cares not just for Elena, but for her loved ones.

Ariana, I liked her spunk. She was definitely afraid to be a little bratty. She definitely is the person to call out as it is. But her backstory, I get why her and Kal have that connection.

Cash, I think he has to be one my faves MMC Along with Alistair. The whole smart, clean-cut lawyer vibe-with the glasses who is actually possessive and a little crazy. Kinda did it for me. (̶H̶e̶ ̶k̶e̶p̶t̶ ̶s̶a̶y̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶h̶o̶w̶ ̶h̶e̶ ̶w̶a̶s̶ ̶g̶o̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶p̶u̶t̶ ̶A̶r̶i̶a̶n̶a̶ ̶o̶v̶e̶r̶ ̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶k̶n̶e̶e̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶b̶o̶y̶,̶ ̶I̶ ̶w̶a̶s̶ ̶w̶a̶i̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶i̶t̶)̶

“𝘐 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘶𝘱 𝘰𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘓𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘕𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘦, 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥'𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘶𝘱 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵. 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥'𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯: 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦”

The only thing I wished the author should have maybe expanded on was why Ronnie, the driver was the first notified that Ariana’s dad was dead. Even Cash seemed confused as to why. There was a slight explanation, but it didn’t clear the issue entirely as Cash was still suspicious.

The epilogue- eh. A little gorey for me. But Cash and Ariana were sweet at the end.

Overall, I liked. It was an interesting read and the story worked. The book was dark and gritty but there was so much depth to the romance, obsession, and the hurt/comfort that it balanced out. This one is my favorite so far, but I’m interested in how the last book will pan out and compare to the others.

It hurts to say but…2.5⭐️

Despite the gorgeous cover, this one just didn’t have a similar feel as the others in the Monsters & Muses series.

Ariana and Cash were both great characters. Individually. They had so much potential, but that wasn’t reached when they were together. There was very little romance in this book (as well as smut surprisingly). Even with 5% remaining I couldn’t tell if they really liked each other or enjoyed the other’s company. That could partly be because they never once talked about anything besides business. So when they kinda sorta confessed their “I love you’s” (wait did they?? 🤔) I did a double take. We didn’t get to really dive deep into their personalities enough which is such a shame. Also, idk if it was just me, but a lot of their characteristics felt contradictory.

My other issue with this book is the plot line involving Ricci Inc. It was confusing and not pieced together well and ended up overshadowing everything and everyone in this book, for no reason. I felt like all of Ariana’s actions were obsolete which was frustrating. The plot twist wasn’t surprising and it wasn’t as impactful as I would have wanted. I just feel after everything Ariana went through, she didn’t get the justice she deserved. Cash didn’t treat her right either. Ugh. His actions were never explained to her. Granted nothing was explained to her, because they both never talked about anything except maybe sex? But even that was occasional.

I’m just disappointed. I didn’t come out of this enjoying it much at all. I love Sav R. Miller and her writing. Don’t get me wrong, this had stellar writing, maybe I’m holding her up to a higher standard. Or at least to the other books in the series.

“But one taste wouldn’t have been enough, and I would have compromised my position just to keep her looking at me like she wanted to swallow me whole.” Souls and Sorrows, Sav. Miller

Listen Kal & Elena, I still love you.

I promise.

But you’re just now in second place after I just read about Cash & Ariana.

I went into this one completely blind. (I did read it as an ARC, I just decided to surprise myself when I was going to read it). And it did not disappoint.

Ariana and Cash made such a dynamic, that it had me wanting more and more with each page turn. Between the spice, the mental health rep, the dark romance aspects, the mafia world, the forced marriage. I truly loved this installment. And I really connected to Ariana as a character. I understood why she acts the way she does because I can be eerily similar. And Cash Daddy? Boy oh boy does he make himself known. He left a mark on what he accomplished in this story and I won’t ever forget him.

I really loved the plot because I had no idea what was going to happen. It kept me on my toes with every turning page and kept me reading into the night until 1am. No regrets what sir ever. I really loved this dark forced marriage mafia romance, and all the aspects it provided. One of Sav. Miller’s best work.

And the spice? Well dang. It was hotter than a trip to a sauna. It was sexy as it was unique and dark. Perfection. And I devoured every second of it.

If you’re looking for a dark romance series to start, grab Promises & Pomegranates first, then dive in. You’ll meet Cash & Ariana here in the 5th installment in this dark, twisted series and I hope you love them.

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4.5)
Trope: fake marriage, forced proximity
Angst: 😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥

Absolutely loved this latest installment of the Monster and Muses series by Sav R. Miller. This time around we see Cash Primrose bid and win Arianna Ricci's hand in auction. A move that surprises him more than anyone else, but hands him the means to dismantle a criminal empire. I adored both of these characters so much, they both had so much depth to them. Cash is the super uptight, inexperienced, workaholic. A man who lives rigidly and commands total control. Arianna is the opposite. Passionate, out of control and still spiraling, Arianna is a woman bent on revenge. Despite this, the two find common ground and a passion and love that overwhelms them both. Total scorching slow burn to combustion. The storyline was interesting and, despite moving a little slow in the beginning, held my attention to the end with tons of twists and turns. I loved seeing favorite characters from the previous books and can't wait to see who's next!

Cash and Ariana gave me life.
This is what I call a sloooow burn, by the 75% mark I was literally dying 😭
In my opinion this book kind of moved a little slow for my liking and it really only picked up for me at the 70% mark. Although I loved the characters I personally feel like I didn’t connect to them enough and that’s why I couldn’t give this book a 5 star.

Ariana was such a fun character, she was really that girl and I loved it. I loved how she was the complete opposite of Cash and kept him on his toes, it made for a very fun read. I was so glad to finally hear her story, since promises and pomegranates I knew I was going to like her. All the things she had gone through at the hands of her mom honestly made my heart break so much, I already hated her mom from the first book in the series and that quadrupled in this book. Ariana deserves all the happiness in the world and I’m so glad that she found that in Cash.

Cash Primrose definitely did things to me and my heart. That man was the physical embodiment of looks being deceiving and I am now a fan of quiet lawyers with black rimmed glasses who are secretly kinda crazy (drop some recs if u have any please😭) I now am a firm believer in the phrase “glasses are the sluttiest thing a man could wear” as of now😮‍💨. Cash was a force to be reckoned with and I ate that up, he really did not play when it came to how people treated Ariana and we love that.

3.5⭐️ I’m back and forth on this one.

Ariana has more demons than most. On top of all that, she has to marry a man she couldn’t care less about. When she’s unknowingly put up for auction, someone other than her fiancé pays a quarter billion dollars for her hand in marriage. Cash has no idea what he was thinking but there’s no going back now. She’s his, no one else’s. He’ll make that perfectly clear.

This was good although definitely my least favorite in the series. Personally, I didn’t feel like they actually loved each other by the end.. it felt very rushed and I didn’t feel the connection.

I did like the involvement of Kal! What a cute dad he is.

The more I sit on this story the more I come around to it… The premise is…. Ummm interesting. A fun spin on an old tale.

I’m just such a sucker for a marriage of convenience trope where the guy says “who hurt my wife!”.... I'M A SUCKER for it!!!!!! I WILL ALWAYS BUY INTO THAT MLM lol.

I think having Cash be “different” in some aspects vs. the typical male lead in these books is what worked for me. I liked Ariana, but won't lie sometimes she was a bit too much. I mean this whole story has so many moments where it was a bit too much. lol

This book is a spicy one and I liked the way it was done.

I think if you’re looking for something serious or realistic, look further. BUT if you’re looking for a good time… this is for you.

This lands somewhere between a 3.5/4

“There is not a single other person on this planet I would have ever gambled two hundred fifty million dollars on,”

Cash (H) really did buy the heroine for TWO HUNDRED FIFTY MILLION DOLLARS.

The dedication.

Cassius pulled a MGK and made Ariana a custom made engagement ring with sharpened shanks that would dig into her skin if she tries to get it off.
ALSO mf put a tracking chip UNDER her skin so he would know her location all the time.
🥰

Apart from this.
See me forgetting this book by tomorrow morning exact.
Because this was so....redundant really.

four stars! ʚïɞ

i'm gonna be totally honest here and say that i could not for the life of me follow the plotline for this novel lmao. so much was packed into this novel and at this point, i'm not even sure there was a solid plot. it felt like things were all over the place and a lil underdeveloped, but that aspect didn't really impact how much i enjoyed reading this. this series is just so genuinely entertaining, i'd literally read the most miniscule thing set in this world and be totally fine with it i swear. the vibes are just simply immaculate. i loooved the marriage of convenience in this book, especially when the lines started blurring between their 'fake' relationship and their real feelings. and the character dynamic, ballet mafia princess and a hardass lawyer? hell yes!! <3

the thing about this series that literally gets me going the most is always, always the characters and i am so glad that sav r. miller continues to serve the best fictional beings. now... i related a little too much to ariana in a multitude of ways, which was like a slap in the face every time she called out her own self-deprecation and sabotage but that's neither here nor there. she was such a badass female character and i loved her strength. she endured so much pain in her life and she's worked hard to overcome it and how she bounces back. i wish we had seen a little more of her relationship with her sisters, primarily elena, especially towards the end, but i'm hopeful we'll see snippets of them together in the next book! as for cash... oof that man was just so delicious lmao. he was such a hardworking man and i loved that in public he was purely professional and stony and yet with ariana he had the dirtiest mouth. i love guys like that i swear. he was such a good support for ariana and their whole relationship progressed so beautifully. i definitely think they're my second favorite couple after kal and elena. i can't wait to see more of them!

i genuinely can only sing praises for sav r. miller's writing. her books are so easy to fall into from the first page, and i always look forward to picking them up whenever she publishes them. i know i can pick them up and any slump or lack of motivation to read will go away because i get so invested so quickly. while i did have issues with the plot and pacing of that, the characters and their relationship definitely made up for it. she really knows how to write tension and lust and build up scenes that just make you swoon. hands down a favorite author of mine, 100%!

another amazing installment in the monsters and muses series. i look forward to each new book in this series every year, they genuinely never let me down! i love the greek inspiration behind each couple/story too, i cannot wait to see who is next! i know the series is already at 5 books but i seriously hope that there are many, many more novels planned bc i love it too much to even think about it ending any time soon 🥲

Man, do I love this series and the characters. I have a hard time picking my favorite couple. Though I love that we get to see glimpses of past characters in the new books.

My heart aches for what Ariana went through as a child. Glad she was able to get some payback (same with Kal). So happy she was truly loved by Cash- she definitely deserves it.

Cash- what a hunk, especially with those glasses. I loved the twists and turns this book took us on.

I loved the dual POV and being able to see what each character is thinking.

“when you’re comfortable in chaos, peace feels like a threat.”

The fifth installment in the Monsters & Muses series follows Arianna and Cash. Both of these characters are siblings of main characters from the other books, and so you start off the book already knowing a bit about their pasts. They do have a bit of dark trauma to work through. These are two damaged people that find themselves in a marriage of convenience and have to make it work. I will say this wasn't my favorite in the series but I still enjoyed it! I liked that Arianna was more vicious and blood-thirsty of the pair when it came to violence. And of course, great spice. Definitely an angsty dark romance.

It’s the fucking glasses for me. the glasses. ( yes im screaming because the book SERVED )

“I love your temper, and your attitude, and that soft, passionate heart you keep hidden away from plain sight. Separately, together, it doesn’t matter—anything at all that you give me, I want, forever.”
His fingers thread through mine, brushing the new ring.
“I wouldn’t have ever given up on you, because it would’ve meant giving up all of that. And living without even an ounce of you would’ve been like living without the fucking rain: completely impossible.”

This book got me from the start. I just read the prologue and I was so hooked. I already knew from the first lines that I would be into this story. This book has such a wonderful start and it was so gripping. I couldn't put this book down and I ended up reading the entire book in one sitting because I was so engaged in the story. It's been way harder for me to really get into books lately, so this was basically a miracle, so thank you book for that.

The plot in this book was just so much fun to follow. I was really invested in the world and how much world-building went into it. I just loved seeing what would happen next and I was very interested in seeing what it would be. This story just kept me super engaged in the story and I thought it was a lot of fun to read. The world in this book was just built very nicely and it gave the book such a fun element while I was reading and it just made me even more engaged in the story.

I just loved the romance in this one, everything about it worked for me. How much they wanted each other, how much they were into each other, their obsession and their possessive thoughts, their want to be together no matter what happens, the hurt/comfort and the super sweet moments between them, the steamy scenes and how lovely they were, the characters and how nicely developed they were and how well they fit together, and the dark romance elements were super wonderfully done, but mostly, just how good of a couple these two were and how lovely their romance was.

Overall, I just had the best time reading this book. This was everything I wanted it to be and more. This was just such an enjoyable story and everything about it just really worked for me. Every part of this story was just so lovely and it made for a super enjoyable book that had so many scenes and parts that I absolutely adore and just want to go back and re-read.

I received an arc of this book, and this is my honest opinion

—FINALLY, my review for souls and sorrows! i’m not going to lie, i was this close 🤏 to dnfing it. it was up there with redeemed in terms of dnfing it, it wasn’t necessarily because of the plot but more or so how slow it started and i was very frustrated with the plot & how it began.
(this looks like word vomit 😭)

⭒ ⭒ ⭒ ⭒/⭒ ⭒ ⭒ ⭒ ⭒

i gave this book four stars because even though the main story was exquisite, i feel like there were a few plot holes, but LET ME JUST TELL YOU. the scenes between kal and ariana were great, from bonding of their trauma and even having an understanding that ariana NEEDED. even when elena came into the picture it would frustrate me how she would treat ariana?? i feel that is kind of character cannon but it’s not?? looking back into the first book elena was worried sick but i also understand ariana acted the way she did.

— MY FAVORITE—ABSOLUTELY FAVORITE. was cash’s and ariana’s CHEMISTRY, my heart ached when hers did. i literally became ariana in my mind (i would want cash too fr fr !!!) but the way sav. r. miller can write ANGST like my queen 🙌🏻

— cash. oh how i love you. i honestly thought you were gay there for a minute but when the book opened up about why & how you weren’t with a woman was like GAHHHHHH. i think that your character is so incredibly interesting

— ariana. if i ever get to meet you either in the afterlife, or my imagination i’m giving you an enormous hug, and hopefully you will let me. you are such a strong woman and you deserve every single sliver of happiness and obsession that cash—or your readers give you.

OKAY, overall this was an amazing read & im excited for the next installment but NOTHING has beat promises and pomegranates for me in this series. i love all of the papa kal and momma elena cameos. lmk what you think!! i’ll try my best to reply? or pm? idk goodreads makes that difficult for someone learning the platform ☹️.

Oh boy I'm really going against the grain here, I think I'm the first 2 star review. Pls don't come for me..

I was just.. disappointed. I liked the dark romance aspects, but everything felt really disjointed to me. Smut was pretty A+, and I really enjoyed the dark romance aspect of it. One thing I enjoy about Miller's writing is that there's no morally gray, it's just dark romance. My morals kept trying to push their way in, but honestly I enjoyed the possessiveness, the push and pull, and crazy wild chemistry of the characters. However, a big however.. I felt like their interactions were just so haphazard. I got a handle on it maybe in the middle third of the book, kinda, but I got whiplash with very little context about what was happening from one moment, one line to the next. I felt very thrown around and didn't know what was happening or why and not in a good way.

Lets start with some favorite highlights:

First, this is BY FAR my favorite book of the series so far. Cash and Ariana’s chemistry is so fucking insane.

Secondly the switching back and fourth between calling her “little nightmare” and “sweet girl” had me dyyyyyying.

Last but not least…. This man was a virgin??? I didn’t think Cash Primrose could get hotter but god damn that solidified it.

Now that those are out of the way, this book is so fucking hot it’s insane. It had me sweating the almost entire damn time. I loved how even though it’s spicy as hell it’s still really plot driven (no surprise here really as Sav is phenomenal at making this happen).

I loved how I could never really figure out exactly where the little plot twists and turns were going to head. And also all the little cameos from past characters <3

One of my favorite quotes from the book:

“Because you’re my wife and no one is allowed to hurt you.”
“Except you?”
“Yes,” “Because there are no lengths I wouldn’t go to in order to earn your forgiveness.”

I’d definitely recommend checking trigger warnings before reading as theres a lot of sensitive topics.

And as always,
Fuck Carmen Ricci.

This book was way to much, I loved it. The epilogue being her murdering her own mother was so unexpected but I also love it.

She could sever the beating heart from my warm body, and I wouldn’t stop her right now
No other thoughts, only Cash demanding to get slapped more than once because it makes him proud that Ariana is his wife 🫠

Also, the 5th book wasn't bad which broke the trend for this series.

4/5

I enjoyed Cash & Ariana’s story. They had a lot of chemistry and I loved watching their relationship develop.

Cash was absolutely dreamy - I loved his whole vibe, the calm and collected lawyer with a dark streak! He had me in a chokehold.

I did find Ariana annoying for most of the book but I also felt really bad for everything she’d been through.

“and living without even an ounce of you would’ve been like living without the fucking rain: completely impossible.”

what's better than kal anderson? a somewhat female version of him. i could've never anticipated that person to be ariana, but it just feels right. to the trust they shared rooted in trauma bonding on her part, to cash's nickname for her ("little nightmare"), she both captures the essence surrounding doctor death and has her own very prominent lethal personality; a combination of juliet and riley.

This was not my favorite in her series but still good.

Tropes:
- Auction
- Forced Proximity
- Marriage of Convince
- “Who hurt my wife?”

The characters, 4/5. Honestly, I thought the character were alright. We, of course, had a moment with the one and only Kal. Then there’s Cash. I love his dirty mouth and how he absolutely wants to give Arianna the world, but he kept going back and forth. “I’m not going to touch you” to “I want to touch only you” and it was just too much. Like, it got to the point where I yelled at the book, “Just pick a side and stick your dick in her!”.

Arianna was alright. I understood her character and am glad she grew throughout the book. I honestly thought she was alright, not my favorite character. However, the two together were cute. I love how Arianna was so concerned and worried about her past (because that’s all she knew) and Cash, after learning about some of her past, gave her the time and all of his attention.

The plot, 4/5. There were definitely some great points in this book. The car scene after their wedding, the office scene (where they fuck with someone on the phone) and then the car scene when Arianna has a panic attack. Those were all great smutty scenes. There was a lot going on, like the Ricci father in jail and everything with that, the couple, and then the mother and the Primrose family.

We love a strong man that can defend his wife, no matter the cost, but this one was a little strange. When you get into a fight and one has a gun, do you expect hint to shoot his driver? NO! I found that to be really far fetched and just weird. The was smut after, which was fine, but I didn’t really think the shooting of Cash’s driver was necessary, or believable at all. It just was so outlandish I got pulled out of the book.

Then there’s the end. It was just alright. I felt like the ending was kind of abrupt. Like, it was fine, but just kind of came to an end. There was a story line that wasn’t finished, so I hope that gets resolved in the next book or it’s going to be on my mind until the day I die.

Overall, I would recommend if you like this series. I love the interconnected characters and appearance. Just makes me happy.

Good day to be bisexual because goddamn these two were so perfect and I couldn’t choose at all
First off Cassius Primose the man that you are
This man was literally a virgin until he married Ariana and that’s a big W cause we rarely see virgin MMC’s
He just wanted his wife to be happy he brought her own ballet studio loved her as she even with her flaws (no flaws in Ariana in my opinion but she says Cash loves her with her flaws) He supports his wife wrongs and never questions her only does things that’s makes her happy and when anyone hurts her he turns super unhinged
The scene after the police investigation omg I saw a new Cash boy was unhinged and shot at his driver to prove a point the spice after that 😨
Left me speechless he might be a virgin but boy does he know how to do things! He’s a literally a lawyer who wears glasses and is so smart and wants power and plays every one in the end and got his power
Also he likes to get slapped around by his wife amen to him and he encourages his wife’s ideas about killing him
A perfect MAN WHO ISNT INSECURE AND IS SO OBSESSED AND IN LOVE WITH HIS WIFE
MY NO.1 in series after KALLUM

Now Mother Ariana Ricci I love my women angry and when she kills men
I loved the fact she killed the men who hurt her like mommy and a girl boss
She was such a relatable character her inner monologue was so relatable girl is literally a softie in heart but all badass and no nonsense in the outside
“Touch him and die” literally she got so angry when anyone even spoke of hurting Cash
I loved their so much it’s not a joke I feel like they both loved each other so much and was so protective of each other
Once again the boy fell first and very hard I love that in this series so much
Glad to see Ariana and Elena’s bond is better now and they are bonding more
Kal and Ari long lost siblings fr I love that they killed the person who hurt both of them
Carmen I hope she rests in hell
Also Cash and Kal interaction was so funny Kal is so overprotective over his daughter
I loved them I loved Cash and His little nightmare
Words can’t describe how much I love them really!

I’m completely enamored by this cast of characters. Souls and Sorrows is without a doubt my new top favorite of this dark and sexy series. What a delicious treat this turned out to be!

Honestly, If you’d told me prior to reading this book that any of the male leads would rival Jonas for my affections, I would have laughed in your face, then enters Cash. He’s basically imprinted on me because I finished this book a couple nights ago and he’s still on my mind.

Here’s what I loved:

Please don’t judge me for this statement, but the treatment of Ariana’s trauma was one the biggest highlights of this book for me. Before you look at me sideways and call my therapist, let me explain. I’m easily entertained, however not always easily impressed by the writing and structure of a novel or the treatment of the characters. This book really impressed me. How the author used dialogue and physical quirks to showcase the character’s struggle was impressive. It allowed me to empathize with Ariana on a level that I wouldn’t have done naturally.

The writing is great. Some the language is downright lyrical. That’ll get me every single time.
The characters are flawed, yet beyond perfect. The cameos and intersection of other stories is what I live for. I won’t go into details, but if you like that sort of thing, you’ll love this book.

Overall, I devoured it and can’t wait for more. Recommended for dark romance readers.

Sav R. Miller proved it again!! I already knew this story was gonna be superb. Cash and Ariana stole my heart from the very instant of the book. The chemistry and electric spark between them OMG SO HOT!! SO INTENSE!!

Ariana is such a badass, I love her vengeful persona and her soft heart which she shows very rarely. Cash being a lawyer is dangerous and he will go to anything just to save Ariana. His instant want for her was just so satisfying throughout the book.

Honestly, I was flying into my happy place throughout this journey. Again I absolutely loved Kal & Elena's story but after them, Cash!!!! You made me weak on my knees.

Goddamn it!!! The spice! I still have all those spicy scene saved on my kindle. I'm not ashamed of what I do either. When I'm feeling down, I go back and Yes, I read them all all over AGAIN! XD
