The tone of voice and perspective in this book is simply amazing. I felt like it was Bernie speaking directly to me. I turn to this book often to remind myself I have to like myself in order to live a life I want. Funny, meaningful, effortlessly charming. Very quick read when you need some inspiration out of a deep rut.

I received this last week and immediately heard that voice as I read. I’ve read entries every day since. Part humor, part advice manual, part common sense…this book is a gem. Bernie’s still here, and the insight is priceless.

This book is awesome! Bernie was one of my absolute favorite comedians! I’m really enjoying reading this book! Not only do I recommend it, I will be sending copies to some of my friends!

This is a page-a-day motivational book that's funny and egaging and brings back Bernie Mac's voice like he was sitting right here giving advice to America. You start on the date you buy the book. You read the advice at the top and then the anecdote, the quote by a famous person, and the action item. It's a nice way to start or end each day because it's not dry. It's funny and it lifts you up.
