An Entertaining an Educational Read on Artificial Intelligence
There are many books that can introduce you to what AI exactly is and how it is already impacting our world, but none are as entertaining as this book is.
As promised by the title, Cupid Chan breaks AI down into plain English, and the analogies he presents as he reflects on conversations about AI he had with his children are absolutely brilliant—and entertaining!
Midway through the book, Cupid seems to shift gears to focus on going deep on all of the core technology and keywords related to artificial intelligence that we should know. While the explanations get more scientific in nature, Cupid does a good job of explaining the technology in laymen terms, providing easy-to-understand analogies and showing the impact that it has on the real world. Once again, living up to its title, the information is clearly useful for any pro that needs to get up-to-speed on all of the nuances of AI technology.
Cupid’s passion for artificial intelligence is clearly on display in this book, and he is an extremely accomplished professional outside of being an author in his own right. With that in mind, reading this book feels like you are in a private room being schooled by a brilliant professor and researcher in a very entertaining and conversational way.
If you feel that the other introductory books to artificial intelligence are too basic on the one hand or scientific on the other, you owe it to yourself to read Plainify AI!
