I am so going to miss this world and these characters. As we get into book 6, this last book, Gwyn and the Bearsden coven are trying to find a way to close the portal between their town and the Otherworld. There is so much going on (don't worry, it's written so that it's easy to keep track of things); witches are dying from some strange magic, Gwyn and her family, friends, and lover fear for her life as a reaction to Nuada's disappearance, and there are characters who are not what they seem. There is an underlying tension, concerning closing the portal, that escalates as the story goes on. And that ending - wow! What an emotional upheaval! I won't spoil it for you, you'll have to pick up this book and read it for yourself. But if you like well written witchy fantasy, with tension, mystery, twists and likeable characters - what are you waiting for?! Grab this book and find a place where you won't be disturbed as you read it. If you are new to the series (lucky you!) start with Secrets of a Midlife Witch, and settle in for a wonderful binge read.

A Magnificent Finale

I tried and tried to review each of the books in this incredible series to no avail. I couldn't find the words to do justice to the magical width and depth of the world of the Bearsden Fellowship of Pagans and all that they do.

Every book in this series builds up on the one before. Centered around the Celtic Studies Program at the University of Delaware at Bearsden (DUB), we follow the flamboyant professor Archie Cockburn, and his hilarious attempts to recruit new witches to the Fellowship.

Over the course of the six novels, you will fall in love with the community of Bearsden and it's Pagan practitioners. Plenty of drama keeps the plot exciting and the ring of authentic love and friendship will keep you hooked until the end.

If, by chance, you are reading this review, do yourself a favor and start by reading the first book in the series. You won't regret the journey you will take. I highly recommend all of the books in this series.

Book 6 in The Bearsden Witch Series, and perhaps the last. Oh how I have enjoyed this series. Wonderful characters that come alive on page. Fear, anxiety, joy, love and friendship can all be found between the covers. I was immediately in love with the characters and town from book one. The tales then just got better and I became even more invested with the goings on. The books invoke many emotions from the reader as we follow Gwynedd Crowther's growth from broken hearted widow of a cheating husband to a strong witch who stands firm in her own light. If this is indeed the last of it, it is a bittersweet end to a most wonderful journey.
I received a copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving my opinion of the tale.

This is the final book in this terrific series. I have read all the books and loved them. Visiting family in the UK is exciting for Ancestral witch Gwynedd, her son, Tyler, his girlfriend Zoe, as well as Archie. Tyler will get to meet his Aunt Gorawen and Archie can see his family again. Before they leave a witch from a different coven warns Gwynedd of upcoming danger but dies before giving her enough information. With Nuada after Gwynedd, she along with her coven continue to search for a way to close a portal to keep her and the town of Bearsden safe. The story evolves from there with enough mystery and suspense to keep me reading well into the night. This is my honest, voluntary review of an advanced reader copy of this book.

Loved this book about Gwynedd Crowther and the Bearsden Coven. The focus is on finding how to close the portal in the celestial gardens. Gwynedd has been having dreams and premonitions of how the Tuaha de Danann would come from the portal and claim her. She and her partner, Archie, fly to his family, in Edinburgh, Scotland, and her Aunt in Wales, to see if they can find a spell to close the portal down. Also someone is attacking witches in the Bearsden and surrounding area, leading to their deaths. Gwynedd has Detective Jack Schmidt always asking her questions and then Agent Drew Blackwell arrives from the FBI to continue with the case.

Gwynedd, her partner Archie, her son and his girlfriend, are heading to Scotland to visit family and also to look for a portal closing spell. Before they leave they find out that local witches are under attack and when one of them dies in Gwynedd's presence, she becomes a suspect. The local Detective calls in the FBI for help and now they suspect Gwynedd too. As if this isn't enough, her visions have become even scarier. Gwynedd wonders if she has the resolve to figure who the Tuatha De Danann is before one of her witch friends is hurt next.
A great story and a satisfying ending to the series.

I have really enjoyed this series. We have travelled around the world together and met some incredible characters. I must admit, I am a sucker for celtic mythology and this modern-day fairy tale has really tapped into the darker tales of aspects of dealing with the fae. Far more Grimm than Disney, but still satisfying.

I also loved how the author continued to be true to Gwynn's character. I may not always have liked Gwynn, but I always understood her. I knew that she would always be the first witch to jump in front of the monster to save her friends and family. Sadly, in Bearsden there was no shortage of monsters...

This was a fitting end to a wonderful series.

The final installment of the Bearsden Witch series is a roller coaster of emotions. As all storylines work toward closure, there’s no shortage of drama, love, friendship and growth. Each book in this series has built upon the last, bringing readers to this point without ever losing interest for a second. With so much going on, this fast paced book was one I couldn’t put down.
Without spoiling anything, I think readers will be satisfied and maybe a bit misty eyed with the conclusion of Gwyn’s story.

Totally addicting could not put down book! Gwen and Archer have to get the porthole closed. Out of options they take a trip to England in search of a way to close it. The Tuatha De Danann will never give up taking Gwen back to his realm. Things have escalated to the point that witches in her coven are dying. They are hoping that Archie's Aunt Gorawen can help them find answers. I could not put this book down! I HAD to find out if Gwen can close that porthole and seal the path for Tuatha De Danann for good.

This entire series has been a joy to read. This, the final installment, brings all of the plotlines to neat and logical conclusions. I can't say that it's all happy endings, but, as anyone over 50 can tell you, life isn't all happy endings. Here, the conclusions are all upbeat and satisfying, and that's much more like real life than a Hallmark movie. If you're just starting to read this series, a word of advice: definitely read the series in order. You'll enjoy it far more that way. Highly recommended!

What an interesting story. So much to enjoy. I will definitely miss these characters. You have to read it just for the ending. You will definitely feel a lot of emotions reading this book. I highly recommend it. The characters were developed even further, drawing you further into the story. As always life is not easy for Gwynedd, but she perseveres. It is definitely worth reading this book, if you know the characters, if not start at book one. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is full of surprises and emotional whirlwinds. Once again, J.C. Yeamans has taken a global trip with your imaginations and hearts. I find this review very hard to write, what I want to write will spoil it for other readers, but Agnes makes her presence known loud and clear. Yes, this is the last book of the series, but certainly not the last from this talented author. So grab a heap of snacks, a drink, find a comfy chair and get lost in the Resolve if a Midlife Witch.

Thank you

I want to thank you for so many things in this book but I long ago resolved to not fill a review with spoilers, even oblique ones. This is one of those rare series where within a sentence or two with each character, you are completely immersed in their world and story again. A satisfying conclusion with a few unexpected twists. I hope to "see" you in Scotland again. Cheers.

I have enjoyed this series so much. I will miss this world, JC Yeamans built, the people, the magic, it was all just amazing. I highly recommend reading the whole series from start to finish, as you will miss parts if you don't. We started with Gwyn growth from dealing with her broken heart after being a widow to a cheating husband, to standing as an amazing witch. We see the coven come together like in all other books, what a great ending.

Once again, I say that this series is addictive. It's a paranormal series that's full of heart, quirks, sexiness, and magic. The characters are realistic (or as realistic as everyday life + magical mayhem can be) and this story felt like the most complex and cozy-mystery-like of all of them in the series.

Amazing read, finished in one day because I couldn't put it down.
The conclusion will have you at the edge of your seat. Loved visiting the characters and seeing how they are doing.
Crossing my fingers for a future of these characters.
Enjoyable read, wished I was on a beach with a tropical drink. Unfortunately knee deep in snow. Good excuse to hide under a fluffy blanket with a cup of cocoa.

mixed emotions!

I love this series so much, and I’m so sad that it’s over! But this final one was the perfect ending! I was piping hot at the author for a bit, and still ended up a wee bit sad, but the ending was perfectly tied up! Such an amazing series! Will be one of my comfort re-reads!

Gwynedd, is trying to get ready for the possible arrival of the dangerous Tuathe De Danaan.

She and Dr. Archie Cockburn are off to the UK to find a way to finally close the Portal in the gardens that connects to the other world. They will stay with Archie’s Scottish family while they search for a solution to close the Portal permanently.

While in Scotland, witches are being attacked and killed back home. Local detective Jack Schmidt asks the FBI for help which brings Agent Drew Blackwell back. The Agent, from past time in Bearsden, is already suspicious of what may be going on there.

Can Gwyn and Archie find the portal solution and get back home in time to stop the evil happening before any of their coven and friends are victims.

This was an amazing book to add to what may be the end of a series.

Gwen and the Bearsden coven are back in this highly emotional book. It's wonderful and I couldn't put it down.

The coven is on the look out for the Tuatha de danann who's been playing Gwyn's visions as she works to strengthen her intuition skills along with the premonitions she gets. Witches from surrounding Coven's begin to die mysteriously. One reaches out to her directly and says she has a warning for her. When she meets with this witch; she dies in Gwyn's arms. The chaos continues. Gwen and Archie go to the UK with Tyler and Zoe to meet aunt Gorawen in Wales and Archie's family up in Edinburgh. Searching to a way to cure the witches once they're struck with a curse and a way to close the portal at the Celestial Gardens.

Can the portal to the otherworld be closed? Will there be a way to prevent witches from dying from this curse and whoever is casting it.
