From USA Today Bestselling Author Bella Jewel comes a brand new, thrilling, dark motorcycle romance with a twist of murder! You won't want to miss this one!
Years after her father's reign of terror as the infamous Shadow Butcher, Mera Sloane returns to the small town she once called home, hoping she can start again. But people there haven't forgotten. When a young girl vanishes in a way that mirrors her father's crimes, the suspicions turn to Mera, leaving her with no one to trust.
No one, except the Fallen Sons MC, a notorious biker gang whose leader, Wolfe 'Rook' Cross, knows more about her father's past than he lets on. Wolfe is ruthless, magnetic, and shrouded in secrets - secrets that pull Mera deeper into a world of danger and desire.
As Mera and Wolfe race against the clock to find the missing girl, the lines between trust and betrayal blur. The closer they get to the truth, the more Mera realizes that some monsters wear familiar faces - and the deadliest secrets are the ones we keep.
The mystery aspect of it kept it interesting and a fun read. I would have almost preferred it be about that and not the relationship. The MMC kind of sucked for most of the book. The relationship felt underdeveloped and there was too much focus on him hooking up with the FMC high school bully. Why they needed to have Esme show up every two seconds is beyond me.
I accidentally read book 2 first because it was gifted to me as an ARC. This one answered all my lingering questions. I love this club. The banter is sharp, the brotherhood feels real, and the smut? Oh, the smut is smutting.
Absolutely devoured this. Wolfe Cross? I’m unwell. The perfect blend of dark MC chaos, mystery, and seriously smutting spice.
This started off strong, I really liked the idea of the FMC finding out who her dad really was and trying to figure out the ‘real him’ that was so terrifying for the public and the him she knew everyday as the doted dad.
She came back to her hometown 10 years after her world crashed and that’s where it went downhill for me. The initial interaction with the MMC, Wolfe who is the president of the biker club was interesting and I wanted to know why he wanted her to leave town so badly, but then for me the story lost it.
The plot became too loose, her being the one who had to find the missing girl to show her innocence… from her narrative she couldn’t cope with her own life how was she going to be better than the police to find a missing person.
The lack of self respect this girl had when it came to the MMC. I’m not a huge fan of the MMC being with someone else, especially when it’s described, multiple times before the FMC, the fact the woman he was still sleeping with so openly was her bully from high school and he would chase after her and not the FMC and yet she still pined for him and let him ‘spice’ her literally right after each other. Like, eww, no, girl get some backbone. Especially when she had multiple other men who seemed like a better option.
I really couldn’t get over the fact there felt like there was no emotional development between the FMC and the MMC. He kept fudging another woman until he just randomly decided I might actually want to fudge the FMC instead because I’m ’irresistible’ then the FMC asking if they were ‘exclusive’ felt very high school.
The ‘big reveal’ plot felt very cringe and I started just skipping ‘plot’ and reading dialogue only which isn’t a great sign when this book wasn’t that long to begin with.
Just overall wasn’t that appealing to me and felt too wattpad
This is not one of my favorite. This is a very dark MC story. The FMC is different. Not quite there. The MMC is strong and sexy but lacks emotion. You always knew they'd end up together but not sure why. There's very little depth to their relationship. I've read most of Bella Jewell's books but this one is out there like some of her others. I enjoyed her early books not so much the dark out there ones.
Whenever Bella Jewel releases a new book, I drop everything to dive in—and hearing she was launching a brand-new MC series? You bet I downloaded it the second it hit my Kindle. And wow, what a start!
Unmasked Legacy is raw, gritty, and everything I crave in a dark MC romance. Enter Wolfe “Rook” Cross—he’s the kind of anti-hero you either fall hard for… or run far from. And yet, as only Bella can do, she makes you feel for him through every sharp edge and brutal decision. He’s commanding, unapologetic, and oh-so-intoxicating.
Then there’s Mera. She’s not some damsel—she’s in town demanding answers, and when she and Rook cross paths, sparks fly. And not the sweet kind. These two clash. Hard. But underneath all that fire is a tension so thick it practically scorches the pages.
With a perfect blend of suspense, heat, and that signature Bella Jewel MC darkness, this was everything I wanted and more. It sets the tone for what’s bound to be another addictive series. I already need book two like yesterday.
Woah what an intense read this was. This author always writes these mysteries that draw us in and we never want to put the book down. I can't be the only one excited and clears my day when a read comes out from this author. Wolfe is the president of the MC in town, Mera pulls into town wanting answers to her past. These two immediately clash, she is one bada$$ girl. The way she doesn't back down, speaks her mind and stands up for not only herself. On the hunt to her past he agreed to help her with, he also finds himself in a mystery that needs to be solved. So many things happen in these read, there is no way you won't love it.
First, I really like dual POV'S, it makes for a fuller story with more detail. It lacked something just hearing one side of the story. I wanted to like this book, but I couldn't stop thinking that Mira was a desperate woman willing to take sloppy seconds from a man. The fact that Mira's dad was a serial killer could have been more interesting. We see her come to this town Ill prepared and with no knowledge of the actual murders, but wanting to figure things out. It was also weird that every man/biker she saw she was a little attracted to. It could have been more.
Beginning with the prologue I’m drawn into Bella’s new series, Mira’s life fell apart, she couldn’t believe the secret she uncovered. 10 years later she’s determined to get answers. Enter the strong, confident, take what he wants, overly confident swaggering Wolf and Mira melts into a puddle. Offering his help, this begins their journey. The stories plot is unbelievably amazing, I devoured it, following the twists and turns, the jealous bully, the secrets and mystery’s uncovered. I absolutely loved Wolf and Mira’s explosive relationship ❤️❤️❤️ A definite page turner and very entertaining. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎🖤
3.5 stars. I enjoyed Unmasked Legacy. I liked both of the main characters and enjoyed getting to know the secondary characters. I thought Mera and her backstory was very sad but definitely saw her progress and really find herself as a person in this book. She was very strong and we saw her face her demons and fight for other people and her own happiness. I liked Wolfe too. He was very intense and he was there for Mera from the start even if he was a bit confusing at times. I enjoyed getting to know some of the other bikers and Nia. I liked this story and will be reading book 2 of this series.
Mera and Wolfe ( Rook) holy hotness Batman this book was freaking intense. So darn good I mean better than good absolutely freaking fantastic!! Honestly I wanted to dislike Wolfe so bad, and I can't stand Esmeralda. So if an author can make you dislike some one so much you know they did an awesome job!! You can easily fall in love with a character but it takes a lot to really not like one. However Wolfe redeemed himself. Totally amazing story and excellent excellent characters!! Now I'm waiting for Talon and Nia's story ( please)!!!!
Hot, twist and turns Wolfe and Kitten do not disappoint!
Ok, wow! This book is so fresh and original, the twist and turns this couple goes through will have you on the edge of your seat. The steam factor is off the charts. 100% chilli hot. This new series I predict is going to be a huge hit. Thank you Bella for bringing your unique style back to the MC World. Readers you are just as lucky, you will not be disappointed. This book rocks on so many levels. Peace out.🔥
It was very entertaining, the motorcycle club vibe is always so good and Chaotic in the best way but add to it all the little twists and turns from a serial killer story and you are ready to have a great time
One thing I didn’t appreciate was Mera having an obsession and “feelings” for Wolfe, that man was awful and granted he doesn’t owe her anything so why she’s almost begging him to be with her when he’s tolerating her at best… girl wtf
She came back to town searching for answers—but all she’s finding are more questions. Wolf, the head of the MC, is intense, emotionally unstable, and loves toying with her every chance he gets. Even when he’s helping, you can tell it’s more about keeping tabs on what she’s uncovering than actually protecting her. The mystery, tension, and chemistry had me hooked from the start. I can’t wait to see where this series goes!
It was a hard choice between two and three stars for me. I liked the story, but I just didn't think there was enough of a connection between the two main characters. The h was a pushover and I can't see how she so easily got over his lies, his treatment of her and the fact he was sleeping with someone else at the same time as her.

This was a great story! My only problem with it and why I didn’t give more stars, was because it was only written from her perspective. I felt it was lacking quite a bit by not knowing what he was thinking. Throughout the story I kept wanting to know what was going on from his point of view. It was distracting.
Otherwise, I loved the main characters and look forward to reading about the others!
Enjoyed this book and the main characters -- Wolfe and Kitten. A few plot twists that I didn't anticipate but definitely brought an extra gut punch to the story. I look forward to more in this series.
This is my first book by this author. I enjoyed the story. The back and forth between Mera & Wolfe was hot. Mera’s father is a serial killer, and Mera just wants the truth about her mother. Wolfe has the answers she needs, but she is in danger. Caleb wants to use her for revenge against her father. The truth about everything that is happening has to be revealed to save Mera from a person who is copying her father’s crimes. I loved the twist, and the ending.
