Thaine Chase’s book ‘The Letters from Lincoln Bee’ narrates the inspiring story of a previously successful businessman who attempts to get his life back on track after losing his youth, fervor, career prospects and so-called friends.

Lincoln Bee, a divorcee with no family or close friends who has lost his spark, is on the verge of taking his own life. Out of sheer desperation and a desire to regain control of his life, Lincoln reaches out to an old flame for help. His ex-wife, Tina agrees and asks him to write a letter each month, hoping that his own words on paper will help him confront his demons and begin to heal. However, their lives inevitably begin to intertwine and a secret that could drastically change everything is in danger of being exposed.

Lincoln’s journey is an uplifting one but it does not neglect to showcase the hard, gritty parts that come with putting one’s life back together. Readers are taken through the highs and many lows of his life and will undeniably identify with Lincoln as he goes on an uphill battle and fails several times. The writer has done an impeccable job of developing their characters as they are three-dimensional and dynamic, each with a unique set of feelings and dilemmas. With a fast-paced plot, a profound transformation and an unexpected ending that will shock readers, this story will entertain you from the beginning to the end.

Overall, this book is a fascinating read and will appeal to all types of readers especially to those who are struggling to curb their own demons.

‘The letters from Lincoln Bee’

Mr Chase is a Storyteller that can somehow speak to every reader.
‘Letters’ is another of his relatable, heartwarming, page turning
Stories that does just that!
It reminds us that our passions,
often times, are our Spirits
way of speaking to us.
Helping to reconnect us with what truly matters.
You’ll find yourself invested in, frightened on behalf of, and truly hopeful for the characters on these pages.

I approached ’Letters’ hoping to be drawn in and entertained, of course
(and it did not by any means disappoint)!
What I didn’t expect however was to have some of my perspectives challenged, broadened or changed.
Yet it did and am truly a happier person for it.
I found that when I closed the last page, I was doing it with a richer understanding and compassion for my loved ones.
In a way, reading Lincoln Bee’s letters helped me to have a more forgiving understanding of the people in life.
Especially for those I’ve felt may have ‘wronged’ me at one time or another.
Even when ‘I’ was the one.

The Letters from Lincoln Bee is an insightful novella which explores the human condition. Facing life alone, Lincoln regains contact with his estranged ex, reconnecting with her and himself in the process. Delving deep into one man’s life, his successes and regrets, there is something in this story which everyone can relate to. Lincoln is undeniably on a journey which the reader joins him on, for both the ups and downs. It is a powerful story of all of the things that can go unexpectedly in a lifetime and how we can face them.

I loved the author’s style and the way the story reveals itself slowly, it is well worth reading the first few chapters and getting stuck in because once you have, it’s impossible to put the book down! Highly recommend you give this book a try, even if it isn’t your usual cup of tea.

Among the books that yield the power to change the mind is Chase's novel The Letters from Lincoln Bee. Not only did this book offer a better perspective on life, but it inspired me to love with childlike abandon again.

Chase takes an ordinary human being struggling as we all are with the battle against ourselves, and waters them with flashback philosophies, exposes their flaws and weaknesses through these letters, and gives them that epiphany of understanding, to have finally reached the understanding of life itself.

The way you fall for these characters (Lincoln, Tina and Vicki) makes every surprise Chase has in store for them emotionally engaging.

I have nothing negative to say about this book. I have only given out two other 5-star book reviews in the last year, so Chase definitely deserves every one. Buy this book. Read it. Review it. You'll love it, I promise.

Clever!

This was a good book. Chase did an excellent job of character development for Vicky, Lincoln and Tina. The book pulled me in from the start. I don't want to give the book away but there are some great surprises with each of the characters and that's what caught my attention. The way Chase creatively crafted the characters and the woven purpose of the letters kept me wanting to know what was next. This a sweet story about real love and wisdom.

Inspirational writing!

Vicky Monroe, advertising exec, enjoyed life but still was smarting from a divorce and the death of her father. Until a bombshell from her mother during an argument revealed a secret about her past that would turn her world upside down forever.
What a fantastic story. This talented author has a great command of the English language and his creativity and imagination are unique. His craft is extremely polished and the way he describes things using analogies is exceptional. I thoroughly enjoyed this innovative story, it has so many messages in the letters that readers will relate to and ponder upon, I certainly did. Great read and I will certainly be reading more by this author. Great job.

What a great story! At first glance, this is a short novel following a man whose lost his love and drive for life; who reaches out to his ex wife for help through a series of letters looking back on his past mistakes. But while reading the story, you realize there are so many messages and moments you can identify with or apply to your own life. And as a martial artist, I resonated even more with a lot of the messages in this book, as Thaine tied together how to apply the philosophical and foundational values behind martial arts into the everyday, in order to live your best life.

Thaine really has some great insights to share, and I'm so glad I got the chance to read this book.

This little book was an unexpected treat as the blurb had me expecting the usual for the genre. Not so.

The method this author presented the story was quite original and rare, in my experience anyway, and it allowed me to look forward to the next page.

The kung fu angle was a bit of a redirect for me, but I didn't feel lost and by the end I felt as it I had learned a bit about it.

In summary, a nice read, unique, and a really sweet story. In crazy times like we're experiencing now, we could all use a few letters from Lincoln Bee.

This book follows Lincoln Bee, who having reached retirement age has realised that he has lost his zest for life. He has managed to undo all his previous success and has become bitter and hardened because of it. He reaches out to his ex-wife in an attempt to salvage what he once had, and from there we follow his journey via his letters to her in order to achieve this.

I found the insights from the author in this book very powerful! A lot of things written truly resonated with me, and I feel that if you take the time to fully comprehend some of the analogies used, you will feel the same as I do.

For me, I absolutely love it when I have finished reading a book and yet I still think about it afterwards, going over what the author has written and finding new meaning to things than what I had gained before. This book did just that! The style of writing created an impact and it was engaging. I highly recommend reading it.

I borrowed this book from a friend because she promised I'd love it, and Lord above she sure knows me. I did love it.

Lincoln Bee is one messed up old skeet, but he has enough sense to know he needs to fix things before it's too late. When I started this little book, I thought it was about a mother and daughter which is not altogether wrong, but when the story shifts to Lincoln and his ex-wife, I couldn't put this damn book down.

Now that I've finished this lovely story, I have to admit, if my friend had told me about the martial arts angle in the story, I would've tossed this book back at her and told her to go pound salt. But another delightful jolt, I think it made the book and story much more inspiring.

I might not have heard of this author before now, but I'm going to be looking out for more of his books, and that fact he's a Newf makes it even the better.

If you want to learn to love yourself and others again, read this book.

I read this book at the behest of a friend. Initially, I was apprehensive but within the first three pages I was drawn in. Thaine Chase has almost a supernatural talent to paint a picture in your mind that puts you in the story. If you have ever felt stuck, sad, lonely, lost or otherwise dissatisfied with your life, this book will resonate with you on so many levels. If you have never experienced any of those emotions than you will be able to find out what the rest of the human race has been feeling for years. It draws you in with the promise of an interesting novel and sets you free with lessons to help with your life. I love this book. Read it and you will not regret it!!!! Thaine Chase is a master of the written word. I bought 10 of these to give out as gifts. That is how strongly I feel about this work of art.

The Letters From Lincoln Bee is a wonderfully captivating story that cleverly mixes in timeless martial arts principles, which surprisingly enrich the narrative. Even though it’s fiction, it sometimes reads like a self-help book, which only adds to its appeal. Lincoln Bee, the main character, is a relatable figure, and while his lack of self-awareness can be a bit frustrating, it also makes him someone you genuinely care about. What really shines in this novella is the author’s knack for keeping the reader on their toes; I was completely hooked from the start.

In short, The Letters From Lincoln Bee is like that wise friend we all lean on when things get tough, giving us the best advice we can. It’s a truly great book!

Fortunately for me, I was given this book to read by a friend because I probably would have never chosen this book from the shelf based on the cover. My usual fiction reading consists mostly of action/adventure or scifi. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to anyone looking for a short fast read. But even though short it packs a lot of ideas for contemplation. I especially liked the use of a series of letters to move the story along. It reminded me of the military tactic book "The Defense of Duffer's Drift" that used a series of dreams to tell the story. I also liked the use of a martial art to illustrate ideas since I enjoy studying martial arts as a hobby.

Far more depth than I expected. A neighbour had been suggesting I read this book for some time, but based on her description of the story I wasn't really interested. Then, she read the first chapter to me and I had to admit it grabbed me.

I ended up reading this entire book in two sittings. Granted this is a quick read, but don't let its length fool you. The Letters From Lincoln Bee is filled to the brim with more emotion, insight and advice than most big books out there. I was so impressed, I read three other works from this author and have never been disappointed.

So I am not into love stories but I like the cathartic letters of the main character… the epistolary vibe is unique and his reflection is interesting. The only constructive criticism I have is that I wanted more character development… a dive into more meaningful events between the couple. Otherwise it was a good Christmas gift read in which parts there were parts of the story I needed to hear. Thanks higher power and thank you Thaine!

An excellent story of family and healing through introspective lessons learned in the past from an ancient martial art. As a lifelong martial artist I found myself waiting to read the next "letter" and the effect it had to progress the story.
